The entire ride home was an awkward one for the small Primid. This whole time she was silent and hadn't spoken a word much to Mario, since the only way she communicated was through hand movements and sign languages.

Thankfully her time at the Smash Shelter did some good for her because one of the administrators had the heart to teach her how to talk to people through body language.

Ponny was nonverbal, so she couldn't speak a single word to anyone around her. Sometimes they got angry at her for it, passing her off as "rude".

Luckily, the red plumber understood and was patient with her. Pulling up in the driveway, they were met with what the interior of the Smash House looked like - a big mansion-like setting that looked as if it was from a different dimension.

The small Primid jumped out from the backseat of the car, her eyes glued to the large house and still hugging her Eevee plushie. Mario, closing the car door behind him, chuckled slightly and guided her to the entrance.

"Don't worry about the house's appearance. Master Hand created this for free since we're heroes!" He chirped happily.

Ponny held onto Mario's hand and went inside the house, her heart sinking deep into her chest. The fact that she was going to meet her new group family was becoming overwhelming to the point where she began to hold on tightly to Mrs. Snugglefuss.

Opening the front door, Mario ushered Ponny into the hallways of the entrance, but not without kneeling down before her. Placing a gentle hand on the primid's shoulder, the red plumber said, "now remember - it would be best to wave your hand as you see everyone. No one in this house understands your condition yet, so--"

During his small speech, he was aware that Ponny was looking down at Snugglefuss and refusing to make eye contact. Mario breathed in slightly and got back up onto his feet. "Okay, then! Time to meet your new family!"

As Mario guided the small Primid down the halls and into the main lobby, Ponny trembled in fear as she walked. She made notice of individual paintings, depicting of classic fighters in Smash Kingdom.

They ranged from the 64 era to the ultimate era, highlighting the history of their presence within the universe. "Yes, I was a pretty big thing in the Smash scene," Mario spoke, snickering a bit at the thought.

The red plumber guided the little one to the deepest parts of the hallways, where they were met with a plain-looking door. Upon opening, Ponny held onto Mario's arm the best she could, anticipating for whatever is behind that door.

Much to her surprise, it was just an ordinary bedroom with nothing else but a window on the far side of the wall and a shelf.

Tilting her head in confusion, the Primid looked up to Mario. "Strange," he said, taking off his cap and scratching his head in utter bewilderment.

"I thought I told Link and Zelda to fix up this room." The red plumber started hissing obscenities under his breath, but also careful to make sure Ponny didn't hear.

"Alright," he began, "since we won't get a bed in here until next week, looks like you'll be sleeping with a soft mattress on the floor."

Ponny motioned her arms to the direction of the mattress and walked over to it so she can sit down. Mario chuckled a little and stepped backwards out of the doorway.

"Since you seem to dislike large crowds, I will go and introduce your presence to the other fighters. Don't worry, you'll still get to see them, but not right now."

The red plumber closed the door to the empty guest room, leaving Ponny in the dark. The Primid, still holding onto her Eevee plushie, trembled a bit as she imagined what the others were like.

Are they really that bad as Tabuu said they were? she thought to herself.

Do they really want to hurt us? If that's the case, then why is the red man so nice to me??
