The next time Budgie woke up, it was the day after she and Zak had become fairies then brought to Ferngully.
Budgie didn't want to be sad anymore so she knew that with her friends helping her, she'd be just fine but for now Budgie had a problem.
"How in the world did I get here?" Budgie asked herself, she then realized that Pips must've brought her into his tree house to get more rest last night.
If that was the case, then the young girl wanted to thank her best friend however, Budgie had no idea on how she was to get down to the ground safely.
"There must be a way." Budgie muttered, looking at the leafs on the tree, she got an idea. "Can't be harder then skate boarding." Budgie stated as a fact.
Budgie gently took one of the bigger leafs off it's branch then took a deep breath before diving out of the tree as she rode on the leaf like a skate board.
"This is awesome!" Budgie cheered out, thanks to the wind blowing softly, Budgie got to the ground without falling off the leaf then went to find Pips and the others.
Unfortunately, being the size of a fairy had it's disadvantages since the forest was huge and Budgie was so small now, not to mention she couldn't fly like her friends.
"I need to learn how to fly." Budgie muttered in annoyance, she tried calling out for Pips, Crysta, Zak and Batty but none of them had answered her calls back to her.
Just then, the bushes that were next to Budgie rustled. "Is someone there? Pips, is that you?" Budgie asked as she moved some leafs to check for her friends or anyone.
Budgie didn't find Pips or her other friends but instead looked up to see a giant blue male Australian monitor lizard. "Hello little morsel." Goanna said in a deep smooth voice.
"...nnnope!" Budgie replied as she popped the 'p', she started running away from the predator as he followed her since he intended to have Budgie as a mid-morning snack.

Goanna was holding Budgie by his tongue and just before he put her into his mouth, Goanna caught sight of Budgie's wings. "Oh man." Goanna said as he gently set Budgie down on a tree root so she could stand.
"Y-you're n-not g-going t-to e-eat m-me?" Budgie asked with a stutter of fear, while she was glad that she wasn't going to be food she was confused. "Not if your a fairy also the name's Goanna." Goanna told her.
"I-I'm B-Budgie." Budgie replied nervously, seeing how much he had scared her, Goanna got the idea to use his tail to tickle her. "NOOOO! STOOOOPPP!" Budgie said with a laugh, the tickling didn't stop for a bit.
Goanna stopped to let Budgie breath as he rubbed her back with his tail. "I'm sorry for scaring you, feel better now?" Goanna asked her, Budgie nodded as she accepted his apology before she leaned into his side.
"We're you looking for Crysta and Pips?" Goanna asked kindly, Budgie's eyes lit up. "Yeah, I was hoping they could teach me to fly since I used to be a human." Budgie explained, Goanna then recognized Budgie.
"I remember you now! You're the human who helped saved Mrs. K's son and his friends!" Goanna said with a smile, Budgie blushed as she humbly said that she didn't do much but her new friend knew otherwise.
Goanna lifted Budgie onto his back as he told her that he was taking her to where Crysta and Pips where. "Thank you." Budgie said with a smile, the two set off as they talked about how the fairies helped the forest.
Budgie was happy to make another new friend even if said friend had planned to eat her but now that she knew that Goanna was nice, she couldn't wait to hang out with him after she'd learn to fly with the fairies.
