For 2 more nights chase did not really sleep. He was just figuring all the scenario's of what could happen in his head and thinking about to where this could lead him. He was just panicking and brainstorming both at once. Marshall noticed that something was not right with chase and after 2 nights of seeing him like this marshall decided to ask the other pups of what they think. The pups defanately come to an agreement that chase is not doing well. So the pups go talk to Ryder and he also agreed that chase has not really been playing with the pups or going anywhere lately.

After 2 days chase was finaly able to sleep. Not because he had calmed down, but because he was just so tired. So Ryder and the pups did not have to do anything but they would keep an eye on him for a bit.

A week after the message

Chase tried his very best to sleep that night because he did not want to look like he was suffering from the paw patrol. Chase had come to a disicion. No one was going to take him away from his friends! These friends ment a MILION more to chase than his dad did.

Later that day he walked true town to have a look around and just when he thought that his dad may just joked with him he heard a dog clear his throat behind him

Chief: their you are. Looks like you were already looking for me. Is that how much you know that police force is better than that stupid dog club

Chase: it's not a stupid dog club dad! It's just like what my brother is doing. We do a lot of different things to safe people if anything I do more work than my brother

Chief: if anything you do 1% Max of what your brother is doing! You are so lazy that you had to run out of your home! Leaving us behind! You walked away from your responsibilities son, so come home with me right now or I'll make you come.

Chase: these are my friends. You can't just take me away from my home! That's not my home anymore! I'm an adult dog and I can decide for myself if I want to go with you or not! And I say that I don't go with you! So that's it! You can't do anything about it dad!

Chief: I don't care of you look like an adult dog. To the world you are a young puppy who can't do anything right! You are useless

Chase: then why take me! If you think I'm useless then let me go! You can't learn someone useless new tricks right

Chief: I don't care you are my son so you must succeed in your mission

Chase: this is my mission dad! And if your not willing to accept that then let's walk our separate ways here!

Chief: your coming with me or your going nowhere!

Mad chase quickly started to run away from his dad. Chase felt something boiling that he had never felt before. Rage! He ran into the woods and ran faster than he had ever ran. Then he stopped and took out his rage on a tree. Something was changing but what? Chase made sure he was cooled down before getting out of the woods and returning home.

From then on everyday chief would somehow find chase somewhere outside the city and try to tell him how much he sucked and that he needed to come home with him now.

Chase was just done with a search mission and was driving home

Chief stood on the road in front of him forcing chase to stop not wanting to cause injuries

Chase: what do you want

Marshall stood in the distance hearing chase braking and saying what do you want. From the bushes he watched what happend

Chief: so have you thought about what I said

Chase: like what you have been saying everyday for the past week. I don't care! I won't come with you! I am not leaving the paw patrol just for you to make me do something they told me I could never do because of you! If you were not such a mad dog then they would have accepted me and you would have never needed to make this exausting journey across a bit of water I swam true in 25 minutes! So can you please realize I won't come! I will never come with you! It's never been an option and never will be!

Chief: now THATS ENOUGH!

Chief started attacking chase while Marshall watched in horror but Marshall knew he could not brake them apart right now. He had to wait he did not want to blow his cover now.

Chase bravely fought back and manage to kick the big dog of him and had enough time to run for it. He ran away once again

Chief: yeah run away from your responsibilities as you always do!

Marshall was confused as of what the 2 dogs were talking about. The only way he could figure out what was going on is to tackle it now. So Marshall ran after chase his scent. After a bit of running he saw chase sitting on a little hill. One of the only places in the forest were trees did not block the stars in the sky.

Marshall slowly walked towards chase, hoping for a good reaction. Without even looking away from the stars chase said

Chase: hey Marshall, what are you doing here.

Marshall: came to check on you. I saw the combination between you and that big German shepherd.

Chase: did you.

Marshall: yes I did. Can I sit next to you

Chase: okay.

For a bit the 2 pups watched the slowly appearing stars of the evening.

Chase: so you want me to tell you the story.

Marshall: wel I think that you should at least tell someone. That could have been dangerous if I was not their in case something happend.

Chase: yeah your right.

Then chase starts to tell Marshall the story. About how his dad was beeing mean to him from the start and gave freedom to everyone but chase. And how chase had to run away and how afraid he was when he messaged him,

Marshall: ah that makes a lot of sense. We were worried about you not sleeping well.

Chase: yeah so that's why.

Marshall: we could probably do something against it.

Chase: I don't know...

Marshall: and, wouldn't you think it would be handy for Ryder to know what's going on.

Chase: yeah but I haven't been able to find the right moment for it.

Marshall: do you want to do it together or that I do it.

Chase: can you do it please.

Marshall: no problem. I'm here to help you.

Chase: thanks marshall.

The pups watch the stars until Ryder calls the pups saying it's getting dark and time to come home. Marshall goes to tell Ryder about what's going on while chase distracts himself by watching Apollo the superpup with the other pups. Now that Marshall and Ryder knew about what chase was going true chase felt a bit safer. He had his friends ready to stand up for him. That night he went to his pup house and saw that someone had left him a message

"Hello chase, this is penny, your mother. I know it's probably very hard for you having your dad in town. I'm trying all that I can to get him out of your city. Your brother is also not many towns away right now so I'll give you his bomber and you can chat him anytime. I quickly figured out you were chase from the paw patrol. And I cannot be happier for where you ended up. So many friends who can and will stand up for you when you need them the most. I wish you the best :) and remember to never give up"

With that message chase was able to get a good night rest
