Lyni wanted to scream with frustration. Of course the only elevator in the building would be out of order when she was on the third floor and her brothers were working late. Fantastic!
Even better everyone on this floor had already left for the day so no one would notice that she was stuck here. Glaring at the sign as if it had insulted her entire family Lyni tried to decide what to do. She was thinking so hard she almost didn't hear the footsteps coming behind her.
"Lyni?" the gruff voice asked.
Turning she was slightly surprised to see Wolffe Fett with his dark skin, black curly hair, amber eyes, and bikers clothes looking at her. "Wolffe Fett," she answered, "I thought everyone had gone."
Shrugging under his black leather jacket, "My brother had to go home, so I was getting his work from Professor Windu." Looking at her, "Why are you trying to open the elevator with your mind?"
Swallowing, "This is the only elevator in this building, and now it isn't working."
Wolffe looked from the sign on the door to her wheelchair and nodded, "That would be a problem."
A quiet nod in response, "I was trying to decide how to get down. But it seems I'm stuck here until one of my brothers gets off his shift."
Those thick dark eyebrows knitted together over his amber eyes, "My bother Bly is in the building next door. One of us could carry you down while the other took your wheelchair."
"Really?" slipped out before she could stop it.
He nodded and reached for his phone before stopping, "That is, if your alright with it."
She smiled and nodded, "If it's not too much trouble." After reassuring her it wasn't Wolffe called his brother and they got her down to the ground floor.
Knife
I cannot walk now
The slice though
My spine made
Sure of that.
She cut me there
So I couldn't run
Bother I'm sorry
I couldn't stop
The fall of the
Knife she held.
And so she
Trapped you too.
