Quick little answering section:

plums: Don't worry about that when Charlus' reckoning, Hadrian will show no mercy to the little monster. I plan to delve into what he's like even more in the future, maybe even have some POV moments. And I will be fleshing out the whole seven years that he is in school.

Qoheleth: That comes next chapter. That's all I am saying.

Alright that it! Onto the story!

Chapter Three: Impressions

As Hadrian walked out of his apartment's office he decided to take another look around his new home. Something that set in during this walkthrough that did not on the others was how plain everything was, there was nothing in the apartment that would mark it as his because that was how he had to keep his old bedroom. Miles' apartment had all kinds of decor, he especially liked the beanbag chairs. Hadrian had to guess that the others' apartments were decorated to how they liked it as well. But as much as logic should dictate that he decorate his to look like theirs in his image, with posters on the wall of his favorite English Quidditch teams, favorite bands/singers, duelling champions, and maybe set up some musical instruments. Hadrian found a piano in an unused room in the manor, the room had soundproofing charms in it so he decided to teach himself how to play, he also found out that he was a decent singer. Even though Hadrian was a decent singer his real talent was playing the piano, he still remembered the first time he played in front of people.

-Flashback: October 18, 1984-

Hadrian was busy learning whatever magic he could in the Potter library, when suddenly an owl swooped in through the window. It was the Tonks family owl Hadrian realized upon closer inspection, he swiftly untied the letter that was attached and read through it.

Harry,

All our friends are currently hanging out at my house, so if you want you could come over and hang out with us. No pressure. My floo address is 680 Ledner Lane.

Tonks

P.S. This was not really an invitation so get your butt over here and don't us come drag you out.

Hadrian sighed we would have to pick up where he left off another day, he was so behind schedule these days. But he did not want to be dragged out… again, so he quickly walked to his bedroom to change. Exciting his room Hadrian quickly walked to an unused floo to floo out, he did not like using the main Floo because his family was nearby to that one and he liked to avoid them. He avoids the rest of his family in order not to get cruelly pranked by them, or not to feel the hurt when his own family doesn't even acknowledge his existence. The floo room he uses is actually for children who are entering and exiting and don't want to alert their parents if they have guests over.

Hadrian ducks into the room unnoticed and quickly grabs the floo powder that the house elves started putting there for him. Grabbing a pinch he tosses it into the fire and then soon after he steps into the fireplace and clearly says the words that Tonks gave him in her letter, he soon feels the effect of the floo system. After a few seconds Hadrian smoothly steps out of the Tonks' fireplace.

"Any longer and we would have to come and drag you out again, Harry!" Tonks exclaimed running forward to hug him.

"Please call me Hadrian, I prefer my full name." Hadrian disinterestedly stated while sidestepping Tonks. Hadrian was not a fan of human contact, neglect does that to a person.

"No can do Harry." Hestia said while hugging Hadrian. In his action of sidestepping Tonks' hug he fell victim to Hestia's waiting arms.

'Crap the hug trap, I've fallen for it again.' Hadrian thought stiffly, just like how his body was completely stiff from the contact.

"Anyways, Harry, we wanted to introduce our other friend Lupa Malfoy. She is my cousin actually." Tonks told Hadrian

'Great another woman, just what I need. I will never get back on track with my magical education with all these distractions.' Hadrian thought banefully.

"Pleasure to meet you Miss Malfoy." Hadrian told her charmingly, kissing her knuckles.

"How come you don't do that for me?" Tonks asked, receiving a blank look from Hadrian in response. "You know Harry, kiss my knuckles and smile at me all charming like that!"

"Oh that's simple. Your attraction is already so annoying and such a distraction from my learning magic, why would I want to increase it even more?" Hadrian said as if his reasoning was common knowledge. "Besides, she is far more attractive than you." Hestia who was standing next to Lupa Malfoy by now whispered to her a countdown from three, when she reached Tonks exploded.

"WHY YOU!" Tonks yelled marching to a Hadrian that was daydreaming about the possibilities of magic. When Tonks reached Hadrian she realized that he wasn't paying attention and decided to use this to her advantage, Tonks kicked Hadrian right in the balls. "Come on girls, we don't need to wait for him to get up. He will join us when he feels better, hopefully he learnt his lesson by then."

As soon as Tonks and Hestia left the room Lupa looked at Hadrian and said: "You know Harry, for how smart you are, you sure are an idiot."

"Why did she kick me, I was just stating a fact. You are prettier than Tonks, there's no two ways about it." Hadrian started confused. "If she wants to be greeted that way I wouldn't mind, she just needs to offer her hand."

"Have you ever thought about Tonks' feelings on the matter of you?" Lupa asked him. "I don't know her as well as I would like but I think you really hurt her feelings when you said I was prettier than her. Some people say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder."

"Of course not that would be nonsensical." Hadrian exclaimed in answer to her question. "And if you think that beauty is in the eye of the beholder shit is true then you are just a brain dead bimbo, you either are pretty or you're not." Hadrian then got up and walked to the floo intending to leave and go home.

"Now hold on just a minute." Lupa said and grabbed onto his arm just as the floo activated bringing her with him unexpectedly. Due to her unexpectedly grabbing onto him when the pair exited tumbling on the floo. The strangest thing that happened was that Lupa was screaming through the floo trip and even a bit as they tumbled about on the floor, in fact the only reason that she was silenced was because when the pair stopped moving Lupa was on top of Hadrian with her lips on his.

Suddenly the door opened and staring at the two accidentally kissing children was Sirius Black, Hadrian's godfather. Sirius whipped a camera from Merlin knows where and said: "This is going in the photo album for sure."

"Sirius! You have to get rid of that photo!" Hadrian exclaimed startled "I wasn't kissing her, we came out of the fireplace tumbling on the ground and when we stopped she was on top of me with her lips on mine."

"That's what a kiss is Harry, but if you want me to keep this a secret then I will." Sirius replied. "Now Harry, do I need to give you the talk?"

"The talk?" Hadrian asked his godfather confused about what he was talking about.

"You know, the birds and the bees, quaffers and hoops, et cetera." Sirius said with a smile.

"Huh, I'm confused too." Lupa said this time instead of Hadrian.

"Well then take a seat you two because I have a story to tell." Sirius started. "You see when two adults love each other-"

"Wait, are you talking about procreation?" Hadrian asked cutting Sirius off.

"Hahahaha, so you finally caught on." Sirius started, and he sees Lupa's still confused face, "I'm talking about sex, making babies."

"Hey Lupa, since you're here you want to see my favorite room?" Hadrian asked his new female.

"Yes please." Lupa said kindly, wanting to distance herself from Sirius.

"I will have to follow you two of course, for chaperoning purposes." Sirius said. Hadrian just rolled his knowing from experience how hard it was to get away from his godfather sometimes.

Hadrian led them through Potter Manor from the private floo room to the seldom used piano room. When the trio reached the piano room a stag patronus came running up to Sirius and told him that he had to get to the family room and see what Charlus just did.

"Cool room pup, I will check it out sometime. I have to go James is summoning me to the family room, your brother did something special." Sirius said, already turning around to walk away.

"Yeah, sure, whatever. The brain dead bimbo and I will stay here." Hadrian said, trying to be nonchalant. Sirius was the only person who gave Hadrian any attention, and Hadrian adored him for it.

The next second Sirius whipped around and slapped Hadrian across the face, and then his wand slid into his wand and he pointed it at Hadrian and said: "Don't you dare call anyone names like that ever again. If I ever hear you say anything like that again you will regret it. Why can't you be normal, or better yet why can't you be more like your brother?" Sirius asked in anger directed at Hadrian.

Anyone that knew Hadrian, or were told everything about him like Lupa, could see betrayal in his eyes. Hadrian could hardly believe it himself, Sirius the only one that he believed loved him just hit him and told him to be more like his brother. The bond of trust within Hadrian just snapped and any affection for Sirius turned into indifference. When Sirius walked away Hadrian looked towards Lupa and saw her shaken.

"My parents, well my father really, is a huge dick but even he has never hit me." Lupa said.

"It's alright, it doesn't actually hurt that much." Hadrian started. "Although, this does really teach me a valuable lesson, people will always favor my brother more so I should not expect them to favor me."

"That's the biggest load of bullshit I have ever heard." Lupa startled Hadrian out of his dark thoughts. "I favor you more than your brother, and I am sure Sirius loves you both the same. He probably just had a rough go of it lately and I am also sure he will apologize later. Anyways what did you want to show me?"

"Oh, right follow me into the room." Hadrian says to her. She walks into the room and sees the piano there. Hadrian sits down at the piano and looks nervous. "This is my first time playing in front of anybody so please excuse me if I am not very good." After saying that Hadrian resettles himself and begins to play one of the few songs he knows, this song was Fur Elise by Ludwig Van Beethoven. After the song was over Lupa was in shock, Hadrian was fantastic!

"Hadrian that was fantastic! Who taught you how to play piano?" Lupa asked curiously, she was contemplating learning how to play a musical instrument herself.

"I taught myself how to play, I doubt if I told my parents they would actually do anything to help me learn how to play." Hadrian replies, his voice full of sorrow. Hadrian feels her arms wrap around him and she mumbles that she should go the others are probably worried about her.

-Flashback Over-

Present Day

Hadrian believed her about Sirius and so he waited for a week for Sirius for his godfather to come and apologize. At the end of the week Hadrian realized that his godfather was never going to come apologize, he learned a lesson that no child should have to learn; don't make yourself vulnerable to others, they'll just let you remembered one of his worst memories after that.

-Flashback October 25, 1984-

After that Hadrian decided he would go to his hidden sanctuary, the piano room. As soon as he got there he had a sinking feeling in his gut; the corridor did not seem so unused anymore. When he reached the door he noticed it had a fresh coat of light brown staining, he gripped the handle and opened the door. For a split second he saw people in the room without the piano the people were; James, Sirius, Remus, Charlus, and Lily. The next then he knows is a bucket hitting his head and scalding hot water scorching his skin, he's been cruelly pranked/bullied again.

"Hahahaha! Prongs I told you he'd fall for it, he is as gullible as Severus was." Sirius exclaimed while laughing. Hearing that Hadrian ran out of the room filled with laughter and throws the bucket off his head. Taking the bucket did not help with the scalding water covering his skin, but it did at least mask the tears falling down his face.

"What's wrong with him?" James started questioning. "It looks like he also can't take a joke like Severus." James finished joking around.

"Yeah, nice work with charming the water Lily." Sirius praised. "Should one of us go check on him?"

"No, he'll be fine he is just being overdramatic. You know that he gets like this sometimes." Lily replied not at all worried about her oldest son.

In a door alcove of a nearby hallway Hadrian sat crying. He was crying in pain from the scalding hot water covering his skin, but also for how his family was a bunch of dickbags. He remembered that they weren't always like this, they changed after the old man started coming by more often. Apparently he was training his younger brother to be able to beat the bad guy named Lord Voldemort that tried to kill him that night. Couldn't they see that Hadrian was the one that defeated Lord Voldemort.

"There will be a day in the future that they will be on their hands and knees for me to help them, and I will refuse. I may not join the enemy but I will not side with them." Hadrian solemnly vowed.

-Flashback End-

Present Day

Hadrian still followed that vow he made all those years ago, and so he turned coldly on his "family" and whatever friends they made. He tried to do the same with his friends but he failed epically when they refused, he really tried but those bastards didn't let him distance himself. His bastard friends were the only things that kept him from going dark, granted he wouldn't call himself light but that's beside the point. Hadrian then went to bed and fell asleep right away after his day.

Hadrian woke up at six am the next morning in order to shower and get ready for the day. Hadrian decided to wear some casual clothes until he could find out what he should wear to his classes. When he reached he found the paper to choose when his classes would be, the classes were arranged in a semester format. He was hoping to master as many of the classes as soon as possible, so he loaded his schedule up full from when first available to closing. Hadrian would learn wand magic on the weekends, Hadrian was on a suicide mission of studying and he was fully aware of it. Hadrian decided later on that day he would go around and talk to the other top six students and see what their class schedules were like. The papers for choosing his schedule also contained a list of students and what floor they lived on.

Hadrian realized as he was about to leave his apartment that the clothes he was currently wearing were probably not suitable and that not everyone may be awake yet. Keeping all that in mind Hadrian decides to head to the library instead and goes with just a pair of slacks, a plain white button up, a black leather belt, dark striped tie, and finally a pair of loafers without socks. Feeling confident Hadrian leaves his apartment to find out where the library is.

Hadrian intended to wander around campus until he found the library, but when he went down to the first floor he found a campus map and found a path to the library. As soon as he stepped outside Hadrian noticed the lush green grass with trees sparkled around. Hadrian was glad that he left without the cloak because it was in the mid seventies and his current outfit was perfect. As Hadrian looked around while he walked he noticed the athletic complex to his right and decided that he might as well find out what sports were offered here later on in the day. Finally after walking for about ten minutes he reached the library, the library was edifice of stone Georgian architecture and giant oak doors. Hadrian forged onward and entered the library, where upon entering the foyer he spotted five others his age, the top six first years all decided to go to the library at the same time.

"Oh, look, Mr. Potter has arrived, the gangs all here." Logan said.

"You can all call me Hadrian." Hadrian replied. "I thought it was big on the outside, but this seems highly improbable. How would anybody have enough time to read all the books in here?"

"Okay I'll say it, does anyone else think that this is another test?" Isaac asked.

"It is. This academy is obsessed with testing us." Lucas responded. "What I am wondering is what the test is; is it the library being so big an illusion, to see how we compare to each other, or to see if we could get along?"

"I think it is a test of teamwork and companionship. They gathered us all here to meet in the lobby, so this is only the first part of the test wherever we go from here there will be another part of the test. There is no way to avoid it, we should go with the direction they choose."

"What if there is no real test, what if we are just so used to believing the school will test us at every turn. We could fail the test by believing that there is a test." Clarence said worried.

"Clarence, you just said it yourself that there is definitely a test in play. The problem is we don't know what the test is, although there is a small chance that you are correct. Perhaps it is a test not to be paranoid all the time and to learn how to relax?" Hugh interjected

"Well if that is the case then there is only one way to find out the answer. We have to choose a random direction and stick with it, hopefully we can learn some magic as well." Lucas said

"We should go by section then we can all agree to learn a certain type of magic." Hadrian said. "We are all prodigies so we could probably learn any kind of magic we wanted, so we could just choose something interesting."

It turns out that even among prodigies that interests vary greatly, so they decided to split up and learn what interests them and then share it with the group. It did not take them very long to master the simple magic they found so they decided to learn multiple spells and then come back together at a later time to discuss what they learned and teach it to any others that are interested. Hadrian studied aura creation, Lucas studied projection magic, Isaac learned about sleep rituals, Clarence learned concealment magic, Logan prepared on nature conjuration, and Hugh deliberated about mind rituals.

The group split up around noon and Hadrian decided to go check out the athletic complex to see what sports were offered. The central wing of the athletic complex was a modern building with white cement with large windows. Hadrian walked into the building through the glass door, went over to talk to the receptionist.

"Hello Mr. Potter, how may I help you?" The female receptionist asked.

"Hello I would like a tour of all the facilities as well as a list of all the sports a student can participate in." Hadrian replied, Hadrian was extremely socially inept and he deals with this taking all the emotions and shoving them deep inside himself. He knows that he shouldn't do this in fact, Hestia has told him multiple times.

-Flashback: March 5, 1985-

"Harry, how do you deal with everything at home? I know if it was me I would be going stir crazy." Hestia told Hadrian. Hadrian was at her house this time, and now Hestia brought up a topic that Hadrian was trying to avoid.

"Umm well, I guess." Hadrian tried to worm his way out of this situation. He failed.

"Spit it out Harry, contrary to what you might believe we don't have all the time in the world." Hestia stated sarcastically. For how nice she could be, she could be quite sarcastic.

"Fine! I bottle up my emotions!" Hadrian started a bit exasperated, he sighed and started again. "It makes everything easier if I just bottle them up and choose not to feel them. Then I don't have to feel the hurt everytime my parents forget to call me for meals, when they forget to tell me that they are going to Diagon Alley, or when they don't acknowledge my presence in my own house. I don't have to feel the humiliation and pain when they destroy things I love, when they cruelly prank or bully me, or when they kill my pets." Hadrian completely opened up to her, he knew that he could trust her.

"Oh, Harry. No one should have to go through what you go through on a daily basis, but you cannot bottle up your emotions." Hestia said sympathetically. It was right then that she knew that she wanted to become a healer to help people like Harry. "You need your emotions to run free, bottling everything up can have an adverse effect on your magic."

"You say that, but you don't understand how much it hurts." Hadrian said back a bit harshly.

"No I cannot, but I want to." Hestia started. "I want you to open up to me, I want to help you. You'll explode if you keep going the way you are, even if you only open up to it will help."

Fine. Where do you want to start?" Hadrian gave in seeing the determination on her face, there was no way he could get out of this.

"What is your favorite food? Do you have any hobbies besides learning magic? What is your favorite color?" Hestia asked him, wanting to start off with simple things.

"Bratkartoffeln, I first had it when the elves surprised me with it. I enjoy playing the piano, there used to be one at Potter Manor but they tossed it out to make a prank room. And black is my favorite color, it symbolizes power and elegance."

-Flashback End-

Present Day

Since that day Hestia became Hadrian's confidant. In fact, Hestia and Lupa became Hadrian's true best friends. They both understood that because of Hadrian's high intelligence and the way he is being raised, that he has an extremely hard time communicating to the average person.

"Hello Mr. Potter, if you would follow me I will give you a tour of our facilities. My name is Brody Calder, a little background information is that I am on our dueling, and sailing competitive teams. Right through the entry hall are three fields for; rugby, football, and soccer, these are just practice fields we use a stadium for the games." Brody said leading him outside.

"I'm going to guess that you are showing me the stadium last." Hadrian said to Brody.

Haha, you would be correct. I have to save the best for last, I personally believe the most interesting thing about the stadium is that it can be easily transformed to properly accommodate any sport that needs it." Brody told Hadrian.

Brody leads Hadrian back inside the building and turns to the right of the entryway, so their left. On the signs in the hallway signs it said that the weight rooms and fitness centers were located in this section of hallway. Brody notices Hadrian reading the signs that the official tour guides don't tell people this, but there is a hidden invite-only secret society. Brody continues to tell Hadrian that only a member can invite someone in, and invitees must be athletes. Hadrian asks why Brody was telling him this, to which Brody tells him to consider this his unofficial invitation if he decides to become an athlete.

It was from this conversation with Brody which makes Hadrian realize that there is a hidden and seemingly thriving underground. Hadrian was hoping to avoid politics while he went to school here because he had such a bad experience back in the U.K., but he realizes that it is unavoidable and that he only had half a month to prepare. While hadrian was pondering the implications of this discovery Brody was showing him the main weight room and the most used fitness center. Finally, Brody leads him around a corner revealing another hallway on the side of the three field courtyard. Brody the doors away from the courtyard are used for; rugby, rowing, and equestrian. The rugby section was a rugby with a door leading outside for easy access, whether it be for entering or leaving. The section for rowing had been magically expanded to contain a magically created lake that seemed to have currents going against the direction the rowers went. The equestrian room had an obstacle course made for the horses and their riders, stables for the horses, as well as a large wooden gate that looked like it led out to a horse trail through the forest. Turning left around another corner surrounding the large was another courtyard, this one housing; tennis, basketball, and a multi-use studio. These areas were all indoors without doors leading outside, however there was door facing the wall closer to the courtyard so people didn't have to walk all the way around the three field courtyard and could instead cut through the courtyard. Finally Brody led Hadrian around the corner toward the second to last hallway with sports being housed within it. This hallway contained; track and field, volleyball, and swimming/diving/water polo. Leading Hadrian around the final corner there were only two facilities; hockey and baseball. However, there was a third door and when Brody noticed Hadrian looking at he told him what it was.

"Thats the door to the basement, just a storage room, a gymnastics gym, and a large climbing wall." Brody informs Hadrian.

"Where's the stadium?" Hadrian asks.

"Down the horse trail." Brody answers Hadrian's question. "I would show you, but newbies aren't allowed to be shown until the first football game. It's an unspoken rule, sorry buddy. Well I've got to head out, do you need anything else?"

No, I'm fine. Thanks for the tour." Hadrian said before leaving and walking back to his apartment.

Hadrian had a lot to think about as he left the massive complex, not the least of which were the politics of the Academy. He wondered if the girls that go to the LeFay Institute have to think about as well, one thing he knew for sure was that Hogwarts students didn't. He knew that some of the students did, those children were most likely placed into Slytherin house. However, he knew children like his father and uncles also went to school and were placed into mainly Gryffindor and Hufflepuff. Ravenclaw students as far as he knew did not think about politics, but they didn't act like a bunch of baboons so they were relatively safe when they entered the world. Despite not being close to his family he still knew how they acted in school, it was so obvious a koala could figure it out. James Potter, Sirius Black, and Remus Lupin formed three out of the four pranksters that made up the Marauders, the fourth was the man who betrayed his family to Tom Marvolo Riddle; Peter Pettigrew. Hadrian figured out the anagram of Lord Voldemort when he was nine after a nightmare where he kept seeing Voldemort telling him: "I am Lord Voldemort," and figured that the phrase was all part of the anagram, he didn't think it was that remarkable compared to other things he had done. Back to the topic of the Marauders, Hadrian believed that they were just a bunch of bullies an that his mother wasn't as smart as everyone said she was based on the part she played in his upbringing. Hadrian decided right then as he was walking into his apartment building that he would be better than the people who raised him, he would do this by achieving exactly what they have only even younger. Well… time to learn how to become an animagus.
