A/N: Hello hello! I want to thank you all for reading! Please feel free to leave a review, I love reading them!

The majority of the trip to Isle Esme was spent in silence. Rosalie could feel Emmett's anger and confusion brewing, but she didn't want to say anything. She didn't want to talk about what she was going through. On top of that, Coach on an international flight was not the place to discuss the situation. For most of the plane ride, Rose pretended to be asleep, her mate the only person knowing that she couldn't. Her red eyes needed to be hidden. Emmett's hand on her knee was the only sign that everything would be okay.

Once they arrived in Rio, Rose hailed a cab. They gave the man directions to the docs where Carlisle stored his boat. As they sat in the cab, she could only feel the rift between them growing. After getting to the docks, she drove the boat, allowing the roar of the engines to block out her thoughts for a moment. The drive was too short for her liking, but at least she was on an island that had no human life.

"Rosalie," Emmett called out to Rose as she walked into the house. "Talk to me." His voice almost sounded broken.

"I'm a monster." The words came out as if she didn't quite believe them anymore. "What else is there to say?" Ruby eyes bore into Emmett's golden soul from across the dark room.

"How many did you kill?" He asked, hands reaching out to hold hers. She looked down between them for a minute, closing her eyes and taking a breath.

"Two." Even admitting that took a lot out of her.

"Your singer and the one in the airport?"

Rosalie nodded, sitting on the bed. "Two humans who could have lived full lives are dead because of me. I should have died at the hands of. . . of Royce and his goons." Her ex-fiance's name felt like poison on her tongue.

"If you had, you never would have met me." A smile graced Emmett's lips as he wrapped his arms around her. "You're not a monster. We have all tasted human blood. We all know what you're going through." It was almost comforting to hear that, but she didn't believe it. While they all had tasted human blood before, it was different. She had always been so careful. She had been the perfect "vegetarian." Rosalie ripped herself away from him, her hands shaking.

"Do you?" The blonde shot a look at him. If only looks could kill. "Do you know that I have never felt this full in my entire life? Do you know how good it felt to drain those women? Do you know that the taste is still in my mouth. I don't think that I can go back to an animal blood diet, Emmett. I only wish that I had drained Royce and his friends when I had the chance." She was changing. She could feel the change coming, but she didn't know what was going to happen. Her eyes search Emmett's for disgust. All Rosalie could see was her own red eyes reflecting back in his gold.

"Are you telling me that you can look into these red eyes everyday and tell me nothing has changed?"

"Things might have changed, but my love for you never will." Emmett closed the distance between them, their cold lips touching for the first time in two days. The taste of human blood still lingered on her full lips. She knew that he could taste it. "You're not a monster, Rose. I just want you to make the right decision.

"And what is that Emmett?" Rosalie pulled away, standing on the other side of the room. "Following Carlisle's plans for us? Treating this like vegetarian vampire rehab? We have never gone out on our own. We have never had the freedom to make our own choices." As much as she loved Carlisle and Esme, she was tired of being treated like a child. Her body was nineteen years old at the time of the change. She had been prepared to marry and have children. She was not a child.

"You're right." He slowly approached her, and she didn't step away. "We haven't lived on our own. Let's stay here. Isle Esme. It's the perfect place to relax. We're off the grid. We can go back to the mainland to hunt." Each step he made towards her felt like a magnet pulling them together. Rosalie thought about it. Maybe he was right. Maybe this was the best place for them.

"Hunt what?" She asked. An all animal diet was not one she intended to follow any longer.

"Humans, animals, whichever you prefer babe." A wicked smile crossed his lips, and Rosalie knew that her face mirrored his. She pushed him onto the bed and they sealed their deal with vigor.

Finishing, Rose and Emmett laid naked on the bed with the sun shining through the window. The light moved around the room off of their skin, and she couldn't wait to start their day. She curled up against her husband's side. Their time on the island would be perfect. All she wanted was to be there forever.

"I love you." She mused, drawing spirals on his bare skin with her fingertips.

"I love you too." Emmett placed a finger under chin, pressing a kiss to her forehead. "No matter what happens. No matter what the rest of the family thinks. I support this decision."
