I own nothing except parts you do not recognise. If I did own Pokémon then Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl wouldn't be in chibi style. I know that a lot of people want my other stories to continue but I don't know when I will get to them, if I do get back to completing them. Try to be patient and I may get back to them at some point. The dots in between each chapter is just a way for me to separate each chapter easily as the site wouldn't allow me to properly separate each chapter.

Fifteen Minutes were up. Both challenger and champion were back in the newly fixed arena. They grabbed a Pokéball and threw them into the air, releasing their Pokémon. Cynthia summoned her Roserade and Dawn brought out her...Roserade. It was a battle of the Roserade, normal vs shiny. The crowd, Cynthia and the judge looked shocked, having never seen a shiny Roserade as most people who own/collect shines do not usually have such a powerful friendship to cause an evolution.

"Are we going to fight," began Dawn, "or are you going to continue staring at Roserade." This knocked Cynthia out of her funk, looking at the challenger before answering with a grin. "Sorry, but it is extremely rare to see an shiny Roserade. Not many people actually bond to shines so this is an amazing sight."

Dawn just looked confused, "You saw my Gallade, a shiny, earlier and didn't comment?" Cynthia just replied that it is more common that Roserade.

"Let's start, you get the first move." Said Dawn, now understanding why her Roserade was special, more special that she believed.

"Very well, Roserade extrasensory!" Just before Roserade could launch the psychic attack, she was knocked of the ground by a very quick weather ball. "Good job Roserade[SH]. Now lay down a couple toxic spikes." An ocean of dark purple spikes flew from Roserade[SH]'s flowers before sinking into the floor. And just as she was about to launch another plethora of poisonous spikes, and energy ball hit the shiny Bouquet Pokémon, not doing any damage but annoying her enough to look at her opponent.

When the two crossed glares it was like a monster had been awoken. Without any command, spoken or otherwise, they both sent sludge bomb at each other. Though it normally wouldn't do much and the two are both poison types, the sheer number of attacks accumulated so much overtime damage, as well as scaring half the audience under their chairs, caused the two to faint.

Dawn and Cynthia didn't even know what to do other than to shake their heads and look at the other apologetically. Even the judge looked at the battle field in shock, not knowing or caring why this happened. It wasn't his job to make sure the trainer had correctly trained her Pokémon.

The two sent out their next Pokémon, still ashamed for the Roserade spectacle. For Cynthia it was Spiritomb, for Dawn it was Empoleon.

"My move first," started Dawn, "Empoleon, use whirlpool!" The penguin Pokémon unleashed a whirlpool upon Spiritomb fast enough that the Pokémon and trainer had barely any time to react.

"Spiritomb, use psychic to hold the whirlpool, cover it in a silver wind and send it back!" Spiritomb's eyes glowed purple for a second as the whirlpool was completely stopped before surrounding the raging water in a silver-like powder floating in a roaring wind. The ghost type sent the combination back at the Empoleon.

"Ice beam into toxic!" No other communication was needed as Empoleon knew what to do. He sent a pale-blue beam at the whirlpool completely freezing it, then shattering it, as a purple ooze shot out from underneath Spiritomb. She couldn't even cry out in shock before being badly poisoned and attacked by a glowing, spinning penguin. Using the distraction toxic caused, Dawn ordered Empoleon to use drill peck which seemed to me the end for Spiritomb.

The crowd was in shock once more. Not only had the challenger taken out most of Cynthia's Pokémon but she had only lost two herself. And one was from a lack of proper training. Cynthia herself was in shock.

"Dawn I will admit, no one has done this well against me but this will be your end. Everything else was a warm up to now. Get ready because her is GARCHOMP!" Cynthia shouted before throwing a Pokèball into the air summoning the monstrous dragon/ground type pseudo-legendary Pokémon that was capable of one shorting Lance the Dragon Master's Dragonite.

"If you're bringing out your ace than I should to. Darkrai, your up!" Dawn screamed sending her own Pokèball into the air and bringing out her mysterious purple Darkrai. Once again the crowd was in shock along with the judge and Cynthia. Whilst Darkrai were known, a different coloured one had never been seen before. "Are we going to fight or stare at Darkrai?"

That snapped everyone out and, before the judge could say anything, Cynthia shouted, "Dragon rush!" Garchomp came flying at the legend coated in a dark purple flame. And before anyone could react Darkrai was hit sending it spinning across the arena.

"Dark void!" Darkrai cupped it's hands together before creating a black ball and flinging it at Garchomp. The dragon/ground just dodged before shooting at Darkrai once more covered in the flames from before.

"Darkrai, as Garchomp is going to hit you, hit her with an dark void!" Dawn said knowing the legendary heard her. As Garchomp was going to hit, she was suddenly put to sleep but not after hitting her opponent again. "Dream eater into toxic. Recover your health while causing continuous damage." Cynthia was shouting at Garchomp to get up as the dark type rapidly drained her health.

Soon the Pokémon fainted and Darkrai was the winner but there was no fanfare or celebration only silence. What caused this? Well it wasn't the champion, sorry former champion's Pokémon laying unconscious but the blood that appeared on Dawn's scarf. The trainer just fainted as the screaming started. Everyone was terrified, how had someone been able to hurt the challenge in front of everyone and not be seen. The champion went to the medical team that had arrived and told them she was coming. Not wanting to argue as the patient's lifespan is currently unknown, the medics just let the champion follow.

Upon reaching the hospital, and waiting three hours for Dawns scan work to be done, Cynthia was thinking about retirement. Dawn was the only person in five years to wipe her entire team out, not even her fellow champions can do so. While this would leave Sinnoh unprotected for till the next champion was around the others experience, Cynthia was confident that someone can take her place now. Maybe the Professors aide Lucas wouldn't mind becoming the next champion. After all he did take out all but her Garchomp when they fought.

As the champion was going intoxicated deeper thought, a doctor called her into his room, the same room Dawn was taken into. Jumping from the surprising voice, not expecting anyone to talk to her, Cynthia followed the doctor's orders and went into the room only to freeze at the site. Dawn was in an hospital gown with a pale face and a small amount of blood dripping from her lips.

The Twinleaf native noticed the champion and said in an defeated but week tone, "So I guess you found out. I didn't want you to know about this, about my sickness."

"But why Dawn. Why didn't you want me to know?" Cynthia responded eyes glistening at the tone. She didn't want to hear such sadness and acceptance from someone on deaths door.

"Because I love you Cynthia. I have only been a trainer for three years, but two years in I was told I had contracted an incurable disease called Lung Carcinoma or Lung Cancer. I should've only lived for six months but managed to hold out for thirteen just to see your face when I beat you." Dawn said quietly before sighing and continuing, "Unfortunately I appears I'm out of borrowed time. This is the last I'll ever see of you Cynthia." Before falling asleep.

Cynthia was now crying, realising why her heart ached to see the teenage in pain. It was because she loved the excitable trainer and didn't want her to die. Only hearing her final words made the champion cry harder.

"I-I-I wish there was a way I could heal you. Dawn, thanks to you I have realised what the pain in my heart is, it is the love I feel for you breaking, realising I'll have to live without you. Please, to any higher power, heal my love, I'll do anything, give anything, just make her well." That was where the fun began. Not even realising it herself, despite the surprising warmth, Cynthia and Dawn were on fire, along with the bed. But that all changed when they were dropped, yes including the bed, onto a stone floor in front of hundreds of children and around twenty adults, and Dawn vomited blood into her outfit. Hundreds of sticks were pointed at the champion but through the tears she could make out what the colourful light heading towards her was till it hit her and she was out like a log.
