You'd Better Un-Forget Real Fast! Or Else

So, Kyogre and Groudon have been defeated, and all is right with the world, except for one thing, and it's pissing Sapphire off... Ruby claims he doesn't remember anything about the huge battle, and that includes Sapphires confession of her love for him. But she won't take no for an answer. And either he's gonna remember, or she'll make him remember.

3. The Real Reason

POV: Sapphire

"And then, he has the nerve to tell me to 'just tell him'. Like what the hell!?" I pace back and forth, absolutely fuming. Chic is sitting next to my friend Flannery, the Lavaridge Town gym leader. Other than, for better or for worse, Ruby, she was probably one of my closest friends.

She looks at me from the hot spring, petting Chic. "Umm... Sapphire. Why can't you simply tell him? You're not embarrassed are you?"

I blush and wheel around to face her. "N-No! Of course not! I-I'm never embarrassed about anything!" I stomp my foot on the ground in frustration before sighing and slumping down, sitting against a tree. "It's just... What if he really did forget? What if I tell him... and this time... he says no...?" I notice a tear trailing down my cheek. I sniffle and wipe it away, groaning. "Ugh! Before I met Ruby I didn't even care about boys! What makes him so special!?"

Flannery pats my back, trying to comfort me. "Listen, you can talk to me about anything, but I know nothing about love and boys. So maybe I'm not the best person to ask for advice on this sort of stuff. Sorry..."

I get up and smile at her. "No worries. I honestly came here planning to vent. But you did actually help. I guess now I know why I can't tell him... I'm gonna go see if Winona can help me. Thanks Flannery." I whistle and Chic hops up, walking over to me. I bring out a pokeball and let out Troppy, my Tropius. I put Chic back into it's own ball and climb onto Troppy's back. I rub it's neck, smiling. "Hey Troppy, can you take me to Fortree City."

Troppy nods and pushes off the ground, taking flight as Flannery waves goodbye. She sighs, "Good luck Sapphire."

Aaaand that's chapter 3! Sorry for the huge wait in between stuff. Work, school, and COVID have been collectively kicking my ass. The next chapter will feature one of, if not my favorite Gen 3 leaders.

I hope you've been enjoying this little story that I honestly make up as I go sometimes.
