Love, Destiny, and Courage

On a world where Kara had gone insane, then rebuilt her life with a new Barry, both she and Barry now lived on Lian Yu, in a house by the beach with Barry's own son, Thomas. It was an isolation for a repentance to what she had put this world through during her insanity.

The skies had gone red through as the ground had shaken.

"I talked to Olly…" Kara started to tell Barry, but he stopped her, little Thomas by his side.

"I know," Barry cut her off; having the full bond with this Barry had helped put Kara's mind back, but she also had forgotten how to block out thoughts at times.

"You need to go help," Kara started. "I'll take care of Thomas."

"Unfortunately, it's too late for that," Barry sighed back as he took hold of Kara. "That's anti-matter and it's approaching fast," he stated, sadly.

"Then there's nothing we can do," Kara responded at this, knowing too that it was too late. The small family held on to one another as the wave of anti-matter consumed their universe around them.

-Crisis in Infinite Millma Earths-

On Splitsville Earth, Sara had directed the Waverider back to her home world to 2021 only to have the ship violently shake upon arrival.

"What is that?" Ava asked her girlfriend, stumbling back into the Waverider's bridge.

"There are these black… things attacking us," Sara said, pointing to the view screen.

"The Anti-Monitor's shadow army," the Monitor said, seeing the cloaked, hooded creatures flying outside. "He is here. This world does not have long…" the Monitor turned to Harbinger. "Harbinger and I will give you some time; find this Earth's Rae. Since her Earth is doomed, she is the perfect one to translate the book for us."

"Why can't…?" Karry Barry started, about to ask why this world's Rae couldn't be transported on board like they all had, but both Harbinger and the Monitor had gone. "Never mind," he added, sighing.

"I can find her," Cisco spoke up. "I need a speedster though."

"I'll go," Prime Barry offered. "I know this Rae," Mutant Cisco gave Prime Barry a nod as he opened a portal and the two jumped through.

Appearing on a street in Central City, Prime Barry looked up at the red sky and the black shadows. On inspection, they reminded him a lot of the army Darkseid used on Karry Universe and Prime Barry had to wonder if Darkseid had tapped into the same thing Anti-Monitor was using. Although as he watched, he couldn't help but also be reminded of Dementors from Harry Potter. It wasn't these Dementors that caught his attention though.

Floating above the mayhem there was a man dressed in green and gold, who Barry knew instantly.

"Gal?" Prime Barry whispered.

"Barry, get her, fast!" Cisco yelled, bringing Barry's attention back. Cisco was looking ahead, and Barry could see Harbinger fighting the Dementors as the Monitor and Anti-Monitor fought each other. He knew the pale form of the Anti-Monitor thanks to the Speed Force's history lesson. It was an even match, the two fighting, and the power from it was hitting into the buildings and the Earth itself.

Then, Prime Barry could see the younger Rae of this Earth. She was running and heading for the battle and he knew her thoughts: That she wanted to end this, save her world – it was what he would do. But she also must have known that this would end with her death. Taking a breath, Prime Barry ran, feeling the Speed Force giving him an extra kick as he grabbed Rae, pushing her the other way.

"What…?" Splitsville Rae started.

"You're coming with me," Prime Barry instructed as Cisco opened another portal. Barry was vibrating to stop Rae from phasing out of his hold as he brought her through the portal, Cisco right behind them. That was when Barry noticed the Kryptonian puppy, Daniel by his side, along with a black cat jumping on his back before he ran through the portal – the cat was a meta-animal, that worked in shadow, so he figured it had been hiding in plain sight, in Rae's own shadow, all this time.

"Get us out of here now!" Prime Barry instructed once they were back on the Waverider. Sara and the other Legends didn't react though, watching the horror unfold below on their Earth – this was their world too. "Legends, we need to go or we're dead with them."

"On it," it was Leonard Snart's voice and, with Harbinger's new enhancements, the Waverider moved through the multiverse and away from Splitsville.

A few moments later they were re-joined by the Monitor and Harbinger, the latter looking a little worse for wear after their battle to distract the Anti-Monitor.

"My world?" It was Spiltsville Rae, turning back to Prime Barry, who was easily recognizable from his different outfit. "Why did you…?"

"You weren't going to stop him," Prime Barry explained, ready for this. "We just saved you." With that, Barry turned to the Monitor. "What was Gal doing there?"

"Gal?" Prime Kara asked, standing straight to this.

"Who's Gal?" Other Karas asked.

"My cousin. Kal's little brother," Prime Kara said. "Was it our Gal, because Aunt Lara…?"

"Pariah," the Monitor nodded solemnly. "It is indeed your Gal, Kara," he explained to Prime Kara. "The man is now Pariah. The one who released the Anti-Monitor is forced to watch as the Anti-Monitor destroys all."

"Gal release the Anti-Monitor?" Prime Kara breathed at this.

"Why?" Prime Barry asked.

"Quex…" Prime Kara groaned, "my uncle, he had big plans or something and was caught in the catacombs below one of Krypton's cities–"

"–which means the trap the Speed Force and her siblings made was on our Krypton," Prime Barry finished, putting it all together as the others from the multiverse watched in silence.

"Siblings?" The other Barrys in the room said.

"It makes sense," the Monitor spoke up. "The Speed Force and, yes her siblings, trapped the Anti-Monitor on a forming world in the first universe created. I have suspected that was Prime for a while."

"We actually recently figured out Prime was the first universe created," Prime Barry spoke up, the Monitor nodding at this.

"The other universes, the rest of the multiverse, were formatted on the original," the Monitor continued. "It's why every multiverse has the same planets. More or less. So, all Kryptons were made with the trap in the core of the planet, but only one was hosting the Anti-Monitor. Over time, the trap must have decayed causing the core of Krypton to become unstable and destroy the planet. Very few worlds managed to stop the core's destruction but Prime is the only one who did not go through a period of possible instability."

"Until right before Crisis," Karry Barry said. "You texted us. Krypton blew up right before the sky turned red."

"All this time, all those Kryptons destroyed… It was because of him. Because of Crisis," Karry Kara bemoaned, and her Barry put an arm around her. SuperEarth's Barry and Prime Barry did the same thing for their Kara's. New Justice Kara gave a sigh, wishing her Rae were here to share in this news.

"But Crisis is here, and we now have a Rae to translate," the Monitor said, moving forward.

"Wait, where's Big Me?" Splitsville Rae asked, looking around.

"Who?" Karry Barry asked.

"New Justice Rae," Prime Barry explained. "You're looking at the one Rae in the multiverse that New Justice Rae likes," this shocked Karry Barry, who knew his go-to Rae hated herself across the multiverse, although at least tolerated the one from Amazonian Earth. Prime Barry though turned to the Splitsville Rae "Big Rae is the Paragon of Truth. She's been sent away to be protected. But there's a speedster language we need translated and… well they argued over every word." Prime Barry pointed to the other Barrys, not himself or Karry. They shifted uncomfortably. "You're a natural born speedster though. You can easily read it."

"It will help us," New Justice Kara said, seeing Splitsville Rae was sad as she hugged onto her puppy and her cat was rubbing against her – she'd just lost her world and had so much expected of her. She was still a teenager, after all.

"It could possibly bring back your world," the Monitor spoke, making eyes turn to him. "If the paragons are used, it's a reboot of the multiverse."

"Okay. Give me the book," Splitsville Rae sighed, taking the book, suddenly determined as she looked at the page that was opened. "The Paragon of Truth..."

"We got that one," a few people said together.

"Okay," Rae said, turning the page. "The Paragon of Love. The Paragon of Love is, in fact, two beings. These two are connected in mind so closely they are practically one."

"Karry," multiple people said instantly.

"Whoa, hold up, let her find out more," Karry Barry spoke at this, smirking despite himself.

"These two met early in life and their love has brought their world to near-perfection," Rae continued to read.

"Definitely Karry," Prime Barry chuckled as Karry Kara and Barry rolled their eyes.

"Wait this next thing is song lyrics," Rae said. "No more talk of darkness. Forget these wide-eyed fears…."

"…I'm here, nothing will harm you. My words will warm and calm you. Let me be your freedom. Let daylight dry your tears. I'm here with you besides you. To guard you and to guide you," Karry Barry sang out.

"Yeah," Rae said, stopping before Kara could start her part. "How did you know that?"

"Well, it's our song," Karry Kara pointed out.

"Phantom of the Opera?" New Justice Kara asked.

"You can talk," Karry Barry joked at this.

"What do you mean?" New Justice Kara asked, surprised.

"Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow is yours, New Justice," Karry Kara added, and New Justice Kara had to give a nod at that.

"Do we have a song?" Prime Kara asked.

"Of course, we do, I sang it to you before I proposed," Prime Barry replied.

"Smooth," SuperEarth Barry chuckled. "Shame we don't have a song," he looked to his Kara at this.

"Popular," SuperEarth Kara chuckled.

"What?" SuperEarth Barry frowned at this.

"Popular, you're gonna be popular," SuperEarth Kara began to sing the song from Wicked, "I'll teach you the proper poise when you talk to boys…"

"Wait, we're not making that–" SuperEarth Barry held up a hand at that.

"Anyway," Karry Barry started, interrupting the sort-of argument happening between the SuperEarth Kara and Barry, "I suppose it makes sense that Kara and I are–" but he never finished his sentence as Harbinger had come up behind himself and his Kara, and put a hand on both of them. The two were teleported away, just as Rae was.

Everyone turned to look at Harbinger and then the Monitor at this. Splitsville Rae was shocked at the sudden departure of a Kara and Barry.

"They are together the Paragon of Love," the Monitor explained. "Now that they know that they need to be protected. They are with New Justice Rae," he had noticed the angry looks he was getting.

"Did it ever occur to you to wait until all the Paragaon were identified before sending them all away?" Mutant Earth's Kara pointed out.

"They need to be kept safe," the Monitor reiterated, but those remaining sighed, turning back to Splitsville, Rae waiting for more.

-Crisis on Infinite Millma Earths-

On the world known as Canary Earth, a world where Kara was part of Team Canary, the Rae of that world exited the speed engine – the machine used to collect her Speed Force energy to power immense weapons. She'd ran so fast, she collapsed on exit.

"Is it holding this time?" Rae muttered as Winn came running up to help her – since the red sky arrived and they had detected the anti-matter, she had been powering up their shield they used to survive the original destruction of part of the multiverse. The problem was that the shield kept failing and needed constant powering up now.

"Only for a few more minutes," Frankie Ramon added.

"You're going to need to go back in," Winn completed for his husband.

"No. She's exhausted!" Mon ran forward, going over to his wife and putting a supporting arm around her. "She can't continue this for much longer."

The first few times of powering their shield had been easy, but each time was getting harder and harder and now Rae was having trouble standing.

"Contact the multiverse," Rae muttered. "If this is everywhere, like you said, we can get several worlds here. If we have 20 speedsters, we can keep this up indefinitely."

"Damn why didn't we think of that earlier?" Winn mused.

"It's too late now," a new voice spoke, and they were shocked by a man in a green and gold outfit who reminded them of Clark. He had appeared out of nowhere. "He's about to burst through your shield and Rae is in no shape to put it back up now."

As the man finished his words, the alarm sounded, telling them that the shield had broken.

"No…!" Rae moaned, using all her energy left to pull away from Mon to start running again, but she couldn't keep the speed engine going.

Mon went into the machine to stop his wife. "It's too late," Mon said as Rae collapsed in his arms, almost dead from exhaustion now. Winn and Frankie held on to each other as their last hope died.

Pariah watched as yet another world was destroyed by his mistake.

-Crisis on Infinite Millma Earths-

Back on the Waverider, Splitsville Rae flipped over a page.

"The Paragon of Destiny," Splitsville Rae said read off the page. "The Paragon of Destiny, is, once again, two who are connected, but not as connected as the paragon of Love. Destiny is because destiny itself led them to one another as one was not born but created. Forces made sure they came together. For their world. For the multiverse."

"Yeah, that sounds like me," Prime Kara said, raising her hand. "Clone after all. Stray piece of hair on Barry's outfit. Created, not born."

"And forces led us together could be the Speed Force," Prime Barry added. "She did say she made sure that piece of hair stuck to me because she did not like worlds where I end up with Iris."

"Wait, are these more song lyrics?" Splitsville Rae asked. "You claim it's not in the cards, and fate is pulling you miles away and out of reach from me–"

"–but you're here in my heart, so who can stop me if I decide that you're my destiny?" Prime Barry continued, as his Kara joined him in singing: "What if we rewrite the stars? Say you were made to be mine. Nothing could keep us apart. You'd be the one I was meant to find…"

"Yes, yes, we get it," the Monitor interrupted the moment.

"Hey, our song even has the word 'destiny' in it," Prime Barry pointed out, grinning at this, but before his Kara could respond, Harbinger had moved over and the pair of them vanished in a flash of light.

"You've really got to stop doing that!" SuperEarth Barry complained.

"I want to punch him again," New Justice Kara pointed out.

"I get it, it's 'everybody punch the Monitor day'," the Monitor rolled his eyes at this.

"Who else punched you?" Mutant Barry spoke up.

"Prime Kara," Harbinger pointed out; not having witnessed it but knew due to her connection to the Monitor.

"Hah, go Prime," SuperEarth Barry chuckled.

"Regardless, you need me," the Monitor spoke.

"Maybe," Kayla said. "Or maybe not. All we know right now is that we need the Paragons, so Rae continue."

"Well, we're now on to Paragon of Courage," Splitsville Rae said, as she pet her puppy, looking over the page. Sha're, her black cat, was resting on her shoulder. "The Paragon of Courage is the original source of one of the Paragons of Destiny. They have gone above and beyond in their abilities to deal with their environment and their emotions, putting their own needs behind that of their teammates."

"Sounds like me," SuperEarth Kara said. "I put you and June ahead of myself," she pointed out. "Plus, Prime Kara's hair came from me – the one she was cloned from."

"Yeah," SuperEarth Barry mused, looking to Splitsville Rae, "are you sure it's just one person and not two?" He realized he'd have to be separated from Kara if this was the case.

"Yeah, just one," Splitsville Rae pointed out. "There's more…"

"Please tell me it's song lyrics to Popular from Wicked," SuperEarth Kara mused.

"No," Splitsville Rae chuckled at this. "A full telepathic bond would be placed upon the Paragon of Courage and their love, but this does not mean both are one. Ah, sorry Barry…"

"Me and Rae are bonded as well but only she is the paragon of truth," New Justice Kara pointed out.

"Damn," SuperEarth Barry moaned as New Justice Kara moved forward to put an arm on his shoulder, knowing what he was about to face.

"To be fair, Enchantress was told by him that I was–" SuperEarth Kara did not finish as she was taken away by Harbinger.

"Okay, punch him," SuperEarth Barry snapped, New Justice Kara squeezing his shoulder at this.

Mutant Kara had moved closer to the Monitor to keep her eyes on him and was fast in following SuperEarth Barry's command in punching him, surprised that it hurt her, but no different to a human punching another human's face.

"Aw you beat me to it," New Justice Kara joked with her alternate as the Monitor sighed, unfazed by the punch. "I got to tell Rae we need to get together with Mutant more often."

"Yes, well the easy part was over," the Monitor sighed. "I'm pretty confident that SuperEarth Kara was the last Paragon on this ship. The next three are still out there somewhere and I don't know what worlds they are on."

"Guess it's up to me," Splitsville Rae said as she turned the page in the book, to read on.

-Crisis on Infinite Millma Earths-

When the red skies had appeared over the world dubbed Twin Earth, where many people had twins where they didn't in the multiverse, Barry had tried to help with the red skies, but had been pushed back by the shadows that came with it. Gorilla Grodd, who worked with the heroes on this world, had then elected to help punch some of these shadow people.

"Grodd, be careful!" Kara called, watching as a pale man in a blue suit appeared in the skies along with the shadows that had stopped Barry mere moments ago.

"Don't worry; I've got the blue man!" A voice called.

"Hunter no!" Barry shouted. Hunter was the new speedster the multiverse had convinced Barry to train as Barry himself wasn't that into being a hero unless it really counted – such as now. "You're too new. I can try…"

Barry never finished his sentence; Hunter had run up a building and jumped forward, right at the pale man. His fist was out, ready to punch but the punch never landed as the man had him by the neck and squeezed so hard his head separated from his body.

"No!" Barry called out, ready to run up and try again. Kayla, Kara, Mon, and Grodd moved to get behind him but a Clark-lookalike in green appeared.

"It's too late," the man spoke, "I am sorry."

"What?" Kara asked the man, but no answer was given as the world was, indeed, taken by the anti-matter wave.

-Crisis on Infinite Millma Earths-

In the Vanishing Point, a place outside of time and space, a flash of white light announced the arrival of yet another Paragon, being kept safe from the destruction of the multiverse by the Monitor and Harbinger.

"–a Paragon… oh Rao, I do not like that guy," SuperEarth Kara moaned as she appeared in the run-down place. Karry's Kara and Barry along with Prime's Kara and Barry were sitting on broken equipment while New Justice Rae was on a cushion on the floor, along with a pillow.

"No one likes him," both sets of Kara and Barrys said together.

"Rae?" Karry Barry said pushing the cushion with his feet so to wake her up.

"What?" Rae asked, her eyes closed. "Is Leona…? Oh, I forgot… Sorry, newborn." Rae yawned and rubbed her eyes as she sat up.

"Yeah, we remember," both Karry Kara and Prime Kara said as one.

"Are we all here?" Rae asked.

"There are still three more," SuperEarth Kara stated.

"Ugh, wake me up when all seven are here," Rae sighed, putting her head back on the pillow.

"Where did she get the cushion and pillow from?" SuperEarth Kara asked.

The group looked at each other at this.

"That's a good question," Prime Barry said.

Rae held out her hand and lightning appeared around it and then formed into a pillow which she threw at Prime Barry.

"We can do that?" Karry Barry said in shock.

"Well, we can make our outfits from the Speed Force," Prime Barry pointed out, thoughtfully. He had since unsummoned his own suit to be in a casual jeans and a t-shirt.

"Yeah, I just run, and it works…" Karry Barry mused, going slightly red at this.

"Yep, Prime is right. It's just an extension of being able to make our own suits," Rae muttered, laying back down again at that. "Try it out. After another hour I'll help you." Rae settled back down as the two Barrys started to discuss how to figure this out, all while the three Karas eyed each other, knowing it may be up to them in the end.

Post Chapter Note: And there you have it. I hope you liked. We're getting the Paragon together nicely enough and four more earths are gone.
