Zelretch, Brunhild, and Geir were back in the stand now as they had picked their next Representative to against the Gods. Zelretch could only grimace at what was happening, while it was true Ragna won them their first match, the second match was the one that worried him the most. Using the power of the Second True Magic, he was able to observe the countless possibilities of who could come out to face their choice in this match. And more often than not, the Father of the Cosmos was the one to come out and fight.
"DESPITE ALL THE DAMAGES TO THE RING! THANKS TO THE GODS IT'S GOOD AS NEW!" Heimdall shouted. "NOW WHO'S READY FOR ROUND TWO!?" He asked, receiving a shout from the Gods and Humanity. The latter of whom were pumped as they now had one Victory in their favor and the Gods were just feeling quite aggressive due to Thor losing and Ragna outsmarting them all.
"INTRODUCING HUMANITY'S SECOND FIGHTER! A MAN CONSIDERED PEERLESS IN A WORLD WHERE IT WAS RAVAGED BY WAR! EVIL, DESPIAR, HATE, GREED, AND VIOLENCE RAVAGED THE WORLD ITSELF!" Heimdall announced as sand started to appear on the stage coating the arena in a post nuclear wasteland. "YET THIS MAN! THIS MAN! THIS MAN REJECTED ALL OF THESE EVILS AND STROVE TO CHANGE THE WORLD ITSELF WITH NOTHING BUT HIS PROUD BODY AND MARTIAL ARTS! A MAN SO GREAT THAT MANY DECLARED HIM TO BE THE SAVIOR OF THE CENTURY'S END! THE PARAGON OF WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A MAN, THE PEERLESS WARRIOR AND HOPEBRINGER HIMSELF! I BRING TO YOU KENSHIRO OF THE HOKUTO SHINKEN!" Heimdall announced.
Soon walking to the stage was an incredibly buff man wearing a dark leather outfit with pauldrons on the side, with a red shirt, a bracer on his right arm, and bandages wrapped around his left arm with a bandanna further up tied up, and a mulligan styled hairdo with gentle blue eyes. He stood firm and proud and with his very appearance, all of humanity that had hailed form his world gave the loudest cheer they possibly could, for they felt reassured for the one to save them all, is none other than the Man with Seven Scars.
"I refuse to let you Gods build your future on the blood and tears of Humanity!" Kenshiro declared.
Humanity, particularly the natives of where Kenshiro was from, had high hope for him while the Gods were annoyed by the man's title. This intrigued someone in particular, Heimdall was originally going to introduce Shiva but he received a call.
"Huh? We're changing the order? Then who's next?" Heimdall asked. "Wait… who? HUH!? NO WAY!?" He said in shock, the sky then turned dark.
"Eh? Why's it so dark?" Geir asked, confused.
"So, he's coming." Zelretch said with the deepest scowl he had ever shown.
Then a lovely melody was heard, the music was unheard of by any mortal ears. It awed the likes of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and brought tears to Johann Sebastian Bach, but the one who was playing the music was none other than… Hermes!?
"That's…Lord Hermes!?" Geir said in shock. "Our next opponent is Lord Hermes…? But his name wasn't on the list…right?" She asked, confused. But Zelretch and Brunhild didn't answer; they were sweating and with a mix look of fear and worry.
"It can't be…" Brunhild whispered out.
"It is indeed." Zelretch said in resignation.
"MY APOLOGIZE EVERYONE. THERE'S BEEN A CHANGE IN PLANS, INTRODUCING OUR SECOND FIGHTER FOR THE GODS!" Heimdall told them. THE ONE WHO WILL BE FACING THE FIRST MAN IS… THIS GOD…NO…WAIT…ACTUALLY, THIS ESTEEMED GENTLEMAN STANDING HERE!" He shouted, and it was revealed to be Zeus.
"Hi there everyone~." Zeus said softly. "Do treat me kindly."
This shocked Brunhild and Geir to their core as Zelretch scowled at the sight of Zeus as Brunhild gritted and grinded her teeth in anger. 'That old bastard…!' Brunhild thought.
"We're in for a long one." Zelretch noted grimly.
"Alrighty! Then!" Zeus said getting ready. "Hermes! Come on!" He ordered.
'Dear me. How many millennia has it been…since I last heralded Lord Zeus's match to battle…with this very song!' Hermes thought, then a dozen more violins appeared and then played "Slaughter in The God's Ring!" which got every God pumping.
"Hoho~ this song always gets the blood pumping~." Zeus said, dropping his cane.
"IF WE'RE CALLING KENSHIRO THE PEERLESS WARRIOR OF HUMANITY, THEN IT WOULD ONLY BE FITTING TO SAY THE SAME FOR ZEUS! THE PEERLESS GOD OF GODS…NAY! GODFATHER OF THE COSMO! GFOC!" Heimdall shouted.
Soon all the other Gods were repeating the words "GFOC" over and over, Zeus and Hermes were even doing an odd dance.
"Dear sister, Lord Zelretch, what am I looking at right now?" Geir asked with disgust.
"Hell, if I know." Brunhild answer with a deadpan face.
"A Creepy Degenerate…" Zelretch said at once as both Valkyries couldn't help but agree.
"USING HIS POWERS OF CREATION AT HIS OWN WHIM, RETURNING ANYTHING THAT DOESN'T SUIT HIS FANCY BACK TO THE VOID! TRULY A KING OF THE GODS! EONS AGO…HE BROUGHT ABOUT THE TITANOMACHY TO DECIDE THE MIGHTIEST GODS…INFAMOUS FOR COMMITTING THE CRIMES OF PATRICIDE, THIS OLD GEEZER, GETS OFF ON BATTLE!" Heimdall shouted. "A REAL GOD AMONG GODS! HIS NAME IS…ZEUS!" The old Greek God was skinny and small at first but grew and swell in size until he was a large muscular monster.
"Huh…what...what's happening…? Why…? Why is the final boss popping up in the prologue?!" Geir shouted confused and scared.
"I never thought…he would show up this early…" Brunhild said, biting her nail in unease. 'I must admit…this was outside my expectations.' She thought.
'Good grief…what a troublesome master I serve…' Hermes thought with a smirk.
Prior to the beginning of the Second Round.
Shiva was warming up as he got ready to go out and face down Humanity's Champion. "Well now, considering how the last one was, can't afford to hold back else I might lose." Shiva said with an excited grin. "Well got to get out now." He said before he felt someone patting his back and turned around to see Hermes and Zeus. "What's up Gramps? You came all this way to cheer me on?" He asked.
"It's my turn now." Zeus said maliciously as Shiva looked at him in surprise.
"What? What are you talking about?" Shiva questioned.
"It's my turn now." Zeus repeated.
"...Didn't we decide that you would be the last up? If you're asking me to let you go first then get lost. It's been a few thousand years since I've been so hyped, so get your hands off of me." Shiva warned as his powers were revealed for a bit.
"It's my turn now." Zeus repeated as he got even creepier.
"Huh?" Shiva replied very angrily. "ARE YOUR EARS BROKEN YOU FUCKING OLD PIECE OF SHIT?! I TOLD YOU NO!" He shouted as suddenly Zeus tightened his grip on Shiva and forced him to kneel before him.
"It's my turn now." Zeus repeated with his eyes glowing maliciously.
Shiva was staring at Zeus wearily before he sighed and pushed Zeus's arm off of him and got off. "So that's how it is, so that's how it's going to be...then you wouldn't mind a round with me right here and now would you?" Shiva questioned.
"Oh?" Hermes wondered in amusement.
Shiva stared into Zeus's eyes made him sigh. "Guess I got no choice, you're my senior after all, go for it." He said as he stepped out of the way. "Just remember, you own me one." Shiva said as Zeus nodded and waved him off as Hermes looked disappointed as they walked on through.
Back to the Present
'He must be the most shameless God in all of existence…' Hermes thought.
"OUR SECOND ROUND WILL BE A MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN! A BATTLE BETWEEN THE PINNACLES OF HUMANITY AND GODS!" Heimdall shouted.
"Hey, will you be alright without that thingy? You know that "Valkyrie Unite" thing. That thing. Without that…" Zeus said, unable to remember how to say Volund. "Kiddo, it'll be over before you know it." He said seriously, Kenshiro simply pointed to the sky.
"She's already here." Kenshiro said as his eyes narrowed deeper at Zeus without losing concentration.
And in the sky was a Valkyrie on a Pegasus, the shine of the sun blocked a clear view but she seemed to be wearing glasses.
"Th-Those glasses…" Geir said with glee.
"Yes. She's the most fitting Valkyrie for the Savior of the Century's End." Brunhild stated. It was the Seventh Valkyrie Sister, Reginleif, who appeared dressed like a medieval scholar, complete with the hat, while wearing a cape and glasses; with black hair styled in a bob cut style.
'That's one a hell of a shine coming off of that forehead of hers.' Zelretch thought casually.
"Sister Reginleif!" Geir shouted."
"Kenshiro, your hand!" Reginleif shouted at him. "We must match wavelengths! Once complete, I shall be a part of you!" They made physical contact and looked like a piece of beautiful art. "Now, in this moment! We are one!" Once they performed Volund, Reginleif became a part of Kenshiro and revealed his weapon.
"That's…Kenshiro's weapon!?" Geir shouted in shock.
Everyone but Zelretch was in shock at what they saw, Kenshiro's weapon was a pair of Armored Gloves. The perfect for one specialized in unarmed hand-to-hand combat, or more importantly; pressure point based Marital Arts.
"You have my thanks Reginleif." Kenshiro nodded as he examined his weapon before he nodded. "This should work well for me." He declared as he focused his attention on Zeus.
"Hohoho~." Zeus said with glee.
Kenshiro vs. Zeus; The second battle of Ragnarök begins now. Zelretch was worried, as he could only guess how this fight would go with Zeus in the fight, since he is the Father of Cosmos. Humanity was able to claim victory in the first round, but if Kenshiro lost here, then they would tie with the Gods and that would give the Gods much needed moral boost which they can't afford to let them do so.
"UNBELIEVABLE! THIS MAN INTENDS TO HAVE AN ALL-OUT FIST FIGHT WITH THE GOD, ZEUS! COULD THIS GET ANYMORE MANLY THAN THAT!?" Heimdall shouted.
"Ken! Win and show that Creep what you're made of!" Bat said from the stand.
"Good luck Ken!" Rin called out.
Yuria only looked at Kenshiro in concern. "Please be safe." She asked of Kenshiro.
"Kenshiro, do not falter in the face of this Evil." Toki all but ordered Kenshiro.
"You defeated me, do not let yourself be beaten by this God." Raoh scowled as he crossed his arms.
"Hohoho. You've got some good taste with that~." Zeus complimented.
"I am a Marital Artist." Kenshiro replied as he cracked his body ready for combat. "Now then, where's your weapon?" he calmly asked, which shocked and terrified everyone.
"Awawawa…" Geir said in horror.
"Oh…you were talking to me? I really want to hear the sound your bones make when I grind them to dust~." Zeus said with sadistic glee. "So I'm going bare-handed~." He said, kissing his fist.
"I see." Kenshiro nodded as he got into his combat pose. "Then let us see if you will regret it or not." He said to Zeus.
"Hohoho, that's the spirit! We'll that's enough talking for now." Zeus stated. "For starters~." he said, then was instantly in front of Kenshiro. "Why don't you try this on for size?" He throws a punch but Kenshiro calmly dodged the punch.
"Oh? Not bad~?" Zeus complimented.
"ZEUS ATTACKS WITH A LIGHTNING-FAST JAB! BUT KENSHIRO DODGED IT WITH ROOM TO SPARE!" Heimdall shouted in awe, in the stands on the side of the Gods alongside Hermes was another God.
"Such a noisy bunch. Congratulating him after merely passing dad's first test…humans truly are foolish creatures, aren't they? Hermes." Ares, God of War and Sixth of the Twelve Olympian Gods said.
"Indeed…you're right…dear brother." Hermes said with a smirk.
"Hohoho, that's great. I'll dive right in then!" Zeus shouted. "Here I come~!"
And then Zeus attacked Kenshiro with a barrage of jabs, which he was able to dodge with ease as his expression has to change in the face of this onslaught, yet at the same time he was already examining Zeus's moves. Zeus then attacked Kenshiro with a Meteor Jab, as Kenshiro simply observed the move carefully with the same cool look on his face. Zeus then threw another punch that Kenshiro was able to dodge but then looked to be preparing to throw a kick, using Divine Axe.
"Hmph. Say goodbye to your lower half." Ares said, believing it was the end for Kenshiro.
But Kenshiro was able to dodge it like it was nothing, this surprised Zeus and Ares, even the Gods and Humanity was surprised. But those that knew Kenshiro were not surprised in the least as Zelretch scoffed. "If it was that simple to defeat Kenshiro, then he would have already died long ago." He stated.
"Oh, that's just wonderful~. You're really something~." Zeus told the Martial Artist. "But…you're not going to beat me by running away, you know?"
"Not running." Kenshiro replied as Zeus looked confused. "Observing, understanding, comprehending." He said to Zeus before he rushed up to him in a blink of an eye, catching everyone off guard. "Watchaa!" He yelled out as he unleashed a Ganzan Ryōzan Ha which he managed to struck Zeus on the head with, causing him immense pain as Zeus felt his skull cracking.
Then Kenshiro leapt down and unleashed a Hyakuretsu Dan which impacted Zeus all over his face and body before Kenshiro unleashed a mighty Hagan Ken which smashed straight into Zeus's face and actually broke his nose, shocking all of the audience members as Kenshiro managed to push back Zeus, the Father of Cosmos. Before Zeus jumped right back up and spat out the blood from his mouth as he grinned and got ready for combat once more.
"You…you're not too bad!" Zeus said with a pleased look upon his face.
"Unbelievable." Geir said in awe watching from the stand. "He managed to do it, he managed to hurt Zeus and match him and perhaps even surpassing him in some areas!" She said excitedly.
Zelretch simply laughed at that as Geir and Brunhild turned to him. "That man, Kenshiro is no pushover, what you're seeing right now is the tip of the Iceberg of what he is truly capable of, he's testing his limits of what he can and cannot do so he knows how to better counter Zeus and then defeat him." He explained.
"That seems a bit different from what he normally does, is it not Lord Zelretch?" Brunhild asked.
"Indeed, you are correct." Zelretch nodded before his face got more serious. "However, considering that all of humanity right now is at risk, do you think that someone like Kenshiro can afford to be careless for even a single microsecond?" He asked as both Valkyries shook their head as they understood where he was coming from.
"No, I guess he can't afford to show all of his cards now, can he?" Brunhild said.
"But that doesn't mean you should be overly cautious with him either." Zelretch added in. "There is a reason why the Users and Master of Hokuto Shinken are practically nigh unbeatable." He said proudly.
"So that's the Sixty Fourth Successor of the art, got to say I'm impressed." A male voice called out as the trio turned in surprise to see who it was.
"Huh? You're…!" Geir said surprise.
"Greetings Saitama, came to watch the fight?" Zelretch greeted the One Punch Man, and Representative of Humanity, as Saitama was bald and clad in only a yellow jumpsuit with red boots and gloves, and a cape.
"Yep." Saitama nodded. "And I'm not the only one either, might learn some tricks here." He said motioning to the other Representatives of Mankind.
"So, this is our enemy." A man in pure black armor and carrying a very large sword on his back said. This man was none other than the Slayer of Demons wearing the Armor of the Penetrator and wielding the Northern Regalia Great Sword.
"Indeed, and I can smell the scent of something incredibly sweet, it must be the blood of Gods that has been spilled." A tall pale man in orange sunglasses with white gloves wearing a red overcoat and large brimmed red hat. This man was Alucard, the No Life King and Monster of Hellsing.
"Is that all you're focused on?" A younger male voice called out to reveal a young high school student with black spikey hair, white shirt, black pants, and sneakers as the teenager just rubbed his head anxiously. "Humanity's right to exist is on the line you know." He reminded Alucard who chuckled. This boy was none other than Touma Kamijou, the Unluckiest Human ever and holder of Imagine Breaker.
"It's fine to have distractions, just so long as you don't lose sight of what's important." A sharp female voice called out revealing it to be a young adult female with bandages wrapped around her arm and a gauntlet sword in the other hand, she was also wearing red and black rags that showed off her curvy body and her long black hair nearly reached the end of the ground with a single hair tie to prevent it from swaying all over. This was Velvet Crowe, the Lord of Calamity.
"Well either way, this party's starting to get wild!" A white-haired man in black and with a red overcoat carrying a large demonic themed sword on his back. "Hehe, Jackpot Baby!" He smirked as he made a finger gun at the Gods. This was Dante, half Demonic Son of Sparda.
"I can't wait to kill them all again!" A vicious male voice growled out to reveal a large bald muscular man seemingly covered in ash that clung to his body with red tattoos and carrying twin blades that had chains wrapped around his arms. This man is none other than Kratos, Bane of Olympus in his reality.
"One way or another, these Gods will fall and they shall become naught but ash and dust in our wake!" A charismatic male voice boomed out to reveal a golden armored man with iconographies and runes all over it as carried a large burning sword in one hand with a power claw in the other. He also had the finest hair that any man could possibly have, with a golden shine in his eyes. This man is none other than the God Emperor of Mankind.
The next two Observers were silent as one was a large green armored man with no sleeves and grenade launcher attached to his shoulder carry a double-barreled shotgun in his arms. This man was none other than the infamous Doom Slayer, the Bane of Hell. The other was a large man completely covered in a red cloak with only a skull mask with the eyes shining beneath them to show that he was alive. This man was none other than Hassan I Sabbah, the First and Grand Servant of the Assassin Class.
"And it's not like we're going to lose either! We're going to give it all we got till it's over!" A chirpy female voice called out to reveal a young girl with cream colored hair wearing a form fitting orange and black outfit with headphones around her head and large gauntlets on her arms. This was the final Representative of Mankind, Hibiki Tachibana, the Symphogear user of Gungnir.
"So, you have all come to watch then, watch carefully for this is the threat that stands before us." Zelretch said returning them back to Kenshiro and Zeus's fight.
"Hohoho. Isn't this just peachy~." Zeus said with glee. "I haven't had this much fun…in quite a few millennia." He said, having a frightening smile. But I wonder…" He said, taking a strange foot stance.
Then he blitzed all over the place, building up momentum, and goes for a kick that would have knocked Kenshiro's head straight off his body before Kenshiro retaliated with Kokū Zan to counter Zeus's kick before he followed it up with a Hagan Ken straight to Zeus's face and breaking it once more.
"Huh!? What the hell is that human?" Ares shouted in shock.
"Oh?" Hermes said intrigued.
"It's as if…" Ares said sweating.
"He's fighting an unmovable mountain rather than a person." Someone else finished. It was a tall male God that had red eyes, pale skin, a fit muscle body and with black hair that was flaming and a black robe.
"U-Uncle Hades!" Ares shouted, shocked.
"Coming to see the fight, Uncle?" Hermes asked with a smirk.
"Just giving my brother a bit of support." Hades, the Greek God answered. "This human is impressive to not only survive but to push Zeus back."
"Indeed, Uncle." Hermes agreed.
Aphrodite observed the fight closer before she grimaced a bit. "This fight...it isn't so much of a clash between two Fighters, but rather a clash of two opposing forces." She said. "A clash between a Protector and a Destroyer."
"If it were anyone else, I would have been apologetic for that, but you're a Being who decided to wipe out the Human Race! As such, I have no such empathy for you!" Kenshiro said as he rushed in to strike Zeus with Kōshu Hatō Ken to the back of Zeus's head which caused Zeus an undeniable amount of agony as his flesh struggled to resist the desire to tear apart.
"Is that so?" Zeus said quietly. "Oh, man…hyohohoho! I'm just so happy~ so so happy. I'm so happy! I'm about to burst!" He shouted, getting more swollen.
"H-He's not making any sense anymore! He's completely lost it!" Geir shouted in fear.
"Can't lose what you never had." Zelretch deadpanned.
"Well then, little monkey." Zeus said, cocking back his fist that now had white aura around it. "Can you follow this? Let's find out."
"He's using "that" move? Against a human no less?" Hades said in surprise.
Eons ago a young Zeus had fought and defeated his father, Kronos. But not taking a single hit, he was surprised with a single blow from his father that connected. At that time, Zeus took the final strike and burned it into his mind, body, and soul, making and naming it as his own.
Zeus forced the energy into him and moves so fast that time seems too fast around him. The name of this technique is, The Fist That Surpassed Time!
However, Kenshiro was faster as he deflected Zeus's attack and started his own counterattack as he gathered energy into himself as clothes seemingly strained more at his increasing muscles, surprising many who are seeing Kenshiro for the first time but those that knew him were smirking as Kenshiro unleashed his most famous attack. "Hooo wataa!" Kenshiro shouted before he made his attack.
Kenshiro unleashed the Hyakuretsu Ken as he quickly jabbed and impacted all of Zeus's pressure points with a hundred blows as he shouted "Atatatatatatatatata!" As he made his attack before he finished and jumped back.
Zeus breathed heavily as he looked at Kenshiro in disbelief. "Was that suppose to do something to me or what?" He retorted as he laughed calmly at the apparent failure of his attack. "You're going to die like that." He laughed out.
Kenshiro simply pointed at him. "You're already dead, or you will be feeling like it." He said as Zeus stopped laughing before he started convulsing on the floor suddenly screaming in pain as his body seemingly gained massive rips and tears all over as he started bleeding out from everywhere and even started to cry blood, shocking everyone with what Kenshiro managed to do.
Once everyone got over their initial shock and focused, everyone was now in shock at what they saw. The Mighty Zeus, Father of the Cosmo, has been brought down to the ground bleeding out!
"What the hell is the meaning of this?!, I saw that human just jab him about a hundred times and he managed to do this to father?!" Ares shouted in shock and confusion.
"It appears that this human's powers exceeded our expectations." Hermes stated with a scowl.
"Indeed, that Human used some form of energy and combined with the Valkyrie's power allowed him to bypass Zeus's skin and destroy him from within." Hades noted.
"Huh you two were able to see all of that!?" Ares asked, taken back by shock.
"Of course not." Hades stated.
"Just got that feeling from watching, dear brother." Hermes stated.
"Hmmm…" Ares said, dropping it. 'In any case, I have no idea of what just happened. But one thing I know for sure. Even if I train for a thousand years, I would never be a match for that human!' He thought.
"As I said before, you're already dead or feel close to it." Kenshiro said to Zeus.
In the Stand on the side of Humanity, Geir was in awe of what she saw. "He's strong! He's so strong! I can't believe that such a human like him ever existed!" Geir said in surprise.
"I believe I mentioned it earlier, but the source of that man's strength is his conviction…his hatred…towards the Gods." Brunhild told Geir.
"Hatred…?" Geir repeated in confusion causing Zelretch to laugh as both Valkyries turned to him.
"Hatred? Is that what you think moves a man like Kenshiro? Hatred?" Zelretch said in amusement as he wiped away the tears from his eyes.
"Then what is it that moves a man like Kenshiro then Lord Zelretch." Brunhild questioned calmly.
Zelretch simply smiled as though the answer was so obvious. "It's quite easy, Kenshiro is moved by Love and Justice." He declared as Brunhild and Geir were surprised. "Initially at the beginning of his journey, Kenshiro moved with only the goal of finding his lost loved one, everyone he helped out was simply a side quest he did because he could. But he grew, he grew and remembered what it was that his Master wanted him to fight for, and so he turned his fists upon those that would harm humanity and would begin his legend of the Savior of the Century's End!" Zelretch declared as the Champions all smirked at what he said.
"Damn straight." Ragna called out as he returned to the stand now fixed and accompanied by Randgriz.
"Big sis Griz!" Geir said cheerfully as she embraced her happily as Randgriz returned the hug.
"Geir, I hope you are doing well." Randgriz said warmly as she and Ragna took a seat to watch the fight.
"I am sis." Geir said happily.
"As much as I want to continue this happy family feeling." Dante spoke out as his voice got serious. "You should probably return to the match." He spoke.
"Why? Kenshiro's got this doesn't he?" Geir asked.
"Look down." Slayer of Demons pointed out.
Just as Heimdall was about to call the match, he suddenly shut his mouth and to Humanity's horror it was because of… Zeus! He was still standing on his two feet and still breathing, even with the state of his body which was still in bad shape, which only proved to be horrifying to behold.
"Huuuuh!?" Geir shouted with fear and shock.
"I am not done yet." Zeus wheezes out, then flexed his body back to normal.
"He flexed his body back to normal!?" Geir shouted in horror.
"Our old man's back!" Ares shouted with pride. "I knew he would be!"
"Yes, he is." Hermes agreed.
"Indeed, he is…" Hades stated. 'But it's clear he'll be reaching his limit soon.' He thought.
"As I said before, you're either dead or very close to dying." Kenshiro said calmly.
"I can see you weren't joking about that." Zeus panted out as he rubbed his neck. "But you've piqued my interest now…this old man has got one thing; he'd like to ask you. I can't feel the flames of hatred towards us Gods within those eyes of yours." He stated. "So, tell me. What's the real reason you're here to fight?"
"Why?" Kenshiro said as raised an eyebrow. "It's rather simple I don't need hate, what moves me is my love for my loved ones, what moves me is my desire to protect those without the power to protect themselves. What moved me to fight as hard as I am right now, because I want to protect the future for Humanity." Kenshiro said before he turned to something more profound. "No...I don't need Hate, all I need is my desire to protect Humanity!"
After hearing the words of the Savior of the Century's End, all of Humanity was brought to tears after hearing such heartfelt compassion and protectiveness. And without question, all of humanity began to pray. In all the ways they knew how. And in that moment, there were no diversions of race, gender, nationality or creed. The statesman and the criminals, the rich and the poor, the good and the evil. For the first time in history, Humanity stood as one. They all wished for one thing.
Kenshiro's Victory!
The Gods were shocked or impressed by the fact Humanity was able to unite for this moment, meanwhile, Geir, Brunhild, Zelretch and the Representatives fighters were all moved by Kenshiro's words.
"Well that settles it then." An Egyptian God by the name of Horus spoke. "This Battle, is truly a clash of Ideals, of that between a Protector and a Destroyer, they're both strong yet on the opposite sides of the same coin, perhaps it was Fate that these two would come to clash."
"Sisters…Kenshiro's just so damn manly!" Geir said with tears as she and Hibiki joined together in a tearful hug at Kenshiro's words.
"I know right?" Hibiki replied just as tearfully.
"Such a Man, I would have been honored to face him and die at his hands." Alucard said with a rare gentle smile.
"If I had met someone like him earlier, or if he was the Shepherd then my world would no doubt have been better off." Velvet said softly.
"He would have made a fine Spartan, and a better battle brother." Kratos rumbled.
"That guy's a true hero to his core for sure." Saitama said with a smile.
"He would have become an outstanding Knight." Slayer of Demons chimed in with a nod.
"Truly Kenshiro is the potential of all that is good in Humanity." God Emperor of Mankind said in a pleased tone.
"I wish we had more people like him back home." Touma replied with a small grin.
Though Doom Slayer and Hassan had yet to spoke, you could sense the aura around them to be very approving.
"It would appear that we have…underestimated Kenshiro." Brunhild said with a smile.
"And I would gladly accept that a hundred times over, Kenshiro is one of the best there is." Zelretch said.
"You even work up the crowd, eh? Not bad, kid…" Zeus wheezed as he was impressed but Kenshiro remained firm and silent at him now. "Hehehehehe, seems bluffing won't work anymore." Zeus said, clenching his body. "I'll admit it…you're a strong one…"
"What is he going on about?" Randgriz wondered as the Valkyries were curious about what Zeus was doing.
"I was foolish. I was foolish to think…I could win like this." Zeus said seriously. "I would have preferred not to do this since it tends to rattle my old bones…but it's the only way." He stated, then proceeded to pull and squeezed his own body, much to Kenshiro's surprise and everyone else's shock and slight horror.
"What's that? Has the old geezer finally lost it?" The White and Black Ravens asked.
"You don't understand." A voice said from behind Odin, then the Ravens were snatched by...Thor!? Who was grinning very malciiously right now. "Damn crows, pretending you know all! How 'bout I tear your heads off? Huh!?"
"L-Lord Thor!? But he died in Round One!" The Ravens said, shocked.
"I thought I told you. Never transform into Thor again…" Odin said, with a dead serious voice.
"Aha~. Oh geez~. It was just a prank~. You're as stiff as ever." The fake Thor said, and revealed to be Loki, the Norse God of Deceit! "I couldn't possibly harm the pets of my dear esteemed Uncle."
"Hmph." Odin scoffed.
"But still, I haven't seen gramps do that in a few hundred million years." Loki stated. "I'm still jealous of that human~. He's so lucky~."
"Huh? Why is that!?" The Black Raven asked.
"See…it's because gramps serious mode is super rare~! Oh man~!" Loki said with a creepy excited smile, freaking out the Ravens.
Back on the side of Humanity, Zelretch and Brunhild had a serious face while Geir was frightened by Zeus's actions and rushed into Randgriz's embrace for comfort.
"Sisters…Lord Zelretch…Zeus is…starting to transform!" Geir shouted.
Zeus continues to squeeze and reform his body, all while screaming in agony. But then a huge burst of steam and sand kicked up, Zeus started to walk out the smoke screen but the moment Kenshiro sensed what he was up against, he took a defensive stance and now had a very serious look on his face. The Representatives of Humanity were taken back in shock at the presence of a serious threat as well.
"W-What the…my body just started shaking…what is this feeling?" Geir said, confused and scared.
"I don't know. But it's probably, instincts…" Brunhild said, holding herself as she shook as well.
Zelretch was on edge as he started to sweat but he still stood firm as Randgriz tightened her hold on her baby sister.
"Mmmm. Yes, how marvelous~." Loki said with a wide grin.
Zeus had activated his final form, Adamas. Even some of the Gods were overwhelmed by the intense pressure, Hermes and Hades believe that in top shape, Zeus could last twelve to thirteen minutes but due to the damage he took he can only last four to five minutes at best. With Zeus having compressed all his muscle to their very limit, it is said they could be heard screaming as they hold back the overwhelming power. Kenshiro, feeling as if a malevolent being was born took up a guarded stance for the first time since the fight started. And the one that started the fight up again, was Zeus!
Zeus's final form: Adamas, has a secret technique. It condenses and stockpiles energy through the physically compressed muscles. In simple terms, Zeus forces all the power in his fists and releases an intense blow, making it the strongest strikes! Known as True God's Right!
Kenshiro and Zeus entered their second brawl of fists, and Kenshiro was able to retaliate and started using Senjukai Ken to retaliate against Zeus and managed to land multiple blows! But Zeus continued to throw powerful punches seemingly unaffected, and he wasn't stopping no matter how many times Kenshiro countered with his own blows, as the fight was getting more intense than their first brawl.
"No! This is bad!" Brunhild shouted, panicking a bit.
And the reason for that was clear as day for her, Kenshiro's attacks which had once been super effective were now less than effective against Zeus right now and despite how many blows that Kenshiro landed. Nothing truly seemed to stick as much as before.
"Kenshiro's attacks aren't affecting Zeus as much, but Zeus's attacks are still very much lethal." Randgriz said grimly as Geir looked on in horror.
"At this rate, Kenshiro might die here." Zelretch said grimly. 'There is one Technique that could help, but will Zeus even give Kenshiro the time to use it?' He thought.
"I never expected he would exploit that technique through attraction! That old fucking gorilla bastard!" Brunhild thought, biting her lip in anger.
"He's now on the defensive!?" The Ravens shouted.
"Yep." Loki answered. "He'll hit his limit soon." He stated.
"So, Zeus's victory is assured at this rate." The White Raven stated. "Hell yeah! Time to wipe the look off of that faker's face!" The Black Raven cheered.
"How naïve~. Don't go counting your eggs yet, look." Loki told them, and Zeus's body morphed and looked distorted.
"L-Lord Zeus!? His… His flesh looks like it'll be ripped to shreds at any moment!" The Ravens shouted.
"That valley of blow won't last forever, Gramp's body is on the brink too." Loki stated. "So, if we were to compare it to something…" He said, taking two wine glasses and made copies of Kenshiro's and Zeus's faces. "The two bodies are filled with the Spirits of their Owners…whose life will begin to spill out first…?" He asked, getting excited. "Dear me, that was close~. Now, they're both at peak tension. All that's left is a trigger… and the dam will come crumbling down."
The fight between Kenshiro and Zeus grew more intense, no matter how many counter blows or how many Techniques Kenshiro threw it didn't seem to work in taking down the elder God. Zeus goes for a Divine Ax but Kenshiro countered with an Ryūsei Hagan Kyaku to the face of Zeus, then both attacked each other with a barrage of blows. With Zeus using Meteor Jabs and Kenshiro using Senjukai Ken! The battle grows more intense but neither of them falter an inch, and continue to give it their all to claim victory for the side!
"Hermes…Uncle…" Ares spoke.
"Yes, brother?" Hermes asked.
"Mmm?" Hades said, looking at his nephew.
"I never once thought, that a fight could be so beautiful." Ares said, with tears in his eyes.
"Indeed. How wondrous…" Hermes agreed.
"Very much…" Hades agreed.
"S-Sisters…Lord Z-Zelretch…I-I can't stop the tears." Geir told them tearfully as she watched in horror at how drastic the battle shifted.
'Kenshiro.' Zelretch, Brunhild, Randgriz, and all of the Champions thought at once.
Both Gods and Humanity cheered on Zeus and Kenshiro, the Savior of the Century's End continued to bash around Zeus but the old God continued unleashing blow after blow. A drop of blood from Zeus spilled out and dripped into his eye but at that point it was too late, blood gushed from his eyes, nose, and ears and he was now blinded. But in the moment of pause, Zeus finally landed a direct blow into Kenshiro's chest and he was knocked back but stood his ground but got another punch to the face, Zeus unleashed another hellish barrage of blows at this point all Kenshiro could do was guard himself.
"Kenshiro!" Bat cried out.
"Don't give in just yet Brother!" Toki said from the stand. "You still have That."
"Kenshiro's probably getting exhausted." Zelretch said grimly.
"Aww man…looks like Kenshiro…was the first to spill." Loki said with a sigh.
"Phew…I guess this time it's the end." The White Raven stated. "Yeah, sure I, although…he was…one hell of a guy…" The Black Raven stated.
"I guess…this is it…" Brunhild said, despairing at their soon to be loss. Zelretch remained silent but had a grim face. But even so! He had yet to lose faith in Kenshiro! He still believed in Kenshiro, as did everyone that Kenshiro knew in life and his fellow Champions.
Kenshiro when he was punched in the chest was sent sliding away from Zeus and soon Zeus charged straight at him. "Now you're dead!" Zeus said gleefully as he rushed in to kill Kenshiro. As Kenshiro was staying still seemingly ignorant to the cries of humanity crying for him to dodge. Kenshiro's eyes finally glowed! Which Zeus noticed but ignored as he launched a punch at Kenshiro, but much to the shock of everyone, Kenshiro seemingly phased through that punch!
"What?!" Ares shouted as he stood up from his seat.
"Impossible!" Aphrodite gasped out.
"No way!" Hermes said in shock.
Odin's singular eye went wide at what he saw as the Ravens cawed in surprise, Loki lost his twisted expression in shock.
"How did that mortal do that!?" Shiva demanded to know in shock.
"What the-?!" Brunhild gasped out as Randgriz and Geir sighed in relief.
"It's here!" Zelretch shouted with a large and audacious grin. "Now then, now Zeus stands no chance of winning whatsoever!" He declared causing everyone within hearing distance to turn to him.
"Are you serious?" Dante muttered as he stared wide eyed at Zelretch before he returned to face the match with the largest grin on his face.
Zeus was surprised at what had happened and seeing Kenshiro standing alive and well with the injury on his chest not wearing him down in the least made Zeus attack him again. But like before Kenshiro seemingly phased through the attack and got behind Zeus, shocking everyone as Zeus couldn't hit Kenshiro again for the second time as Zeus looked back at Kenshiro in disbelief.
"How…how are you doing this?" Zeus muttered before his eyes went wide as a man seemingly appeared behind Kenshiro. "Who is this?!" He demanded.
Toki smiled from the Stand as the audience gasped at the sight of seeing him there and on the arena. "So, you activated it now, I suppose you needed to gain enough sorrow to unleash." Toki mused.
Zeus then continued his attack. "Nothing like that can overcome me!" He shouted as he rushed forward and made another lunge, but just like before Kenshiro phased past him and at the same time unleashing an attack of his own.
"Huuuuooooohhh!" And then suddenly Zeus felt wind pulling him from behind as his eyes went even wider "Shaaaaoooo!" And then suddenly Zeus screamed in pain as his sides were now covered in three long nasty cuts causing him to bleed despite the ultimate form he has taken!
The Gods exploded into shock at what they saw as many of them stood up in disbelief. While Humanity was in shock but now smiling as they seemingly gained a chance to win against Zeus now. Aphrodite was opening and closing her mouth in disbelief. Other Gods like Pavatri, Durga, and Kali were unable to say anything as they watched in disbelief. Shiva was open jawed and wide eyed as he tried to say something but words failed him.
"This can't be!" Zeus gasped out as he turned to face Kenshiro and once again his eyes widened as another man was behind Kenshiro. Rei simply smiled at Kenshiro as he also appeared and he used his style to inflict the first true damaging blow onto Zeus in his new form.
"Kenshiro, you honor me, I will never forget this." He said with tears of joy as Yuria smiled tearfully as Bat and Rin were cheering. Mamiya was also tearful as she looked on with relief as well.
"He's bleeding! The Old Man is bleeding!" Loki gasped out in horror as he bit his thumb as Odin was wide eyes and unable to express his anger due to the shock he had taken. And he was not the only one either, for both Humanity and Gods were left in complete and utter shock at what happened.
"Just what is going on here?!" Aphrodite demanded in anger at what she was seeing.
"How is that man doing that? Just what is he doing?" Hades muttered in shock as he broke out into a cold sweat as he saw the human ignore every possible attack made by his brother. "Just what kind of warrior did the Valkyries sent out?"
"He's bleeding! Zeus is bleeding!" Geir whispered quietly as she turned to everyone, each of whom had their own expression of shock. "Lord Zelretch what happened!?" She questioned the Wizard Marshal.
"Do you notice his eyes?" Zelretch asked calmly.
"His eyes?" Geir wondered as everyone focused on Kenshiro's eyes and much to everyone's surprise, those eyes were deep and sorrowful as if he had seen a great tragedy, he was unable to do a single thing about. "What does his eyes have to do with anything?" She asked Zelretch.
"Everything." Zelretch said. "For before you, the event you are seeing is the Ultimate Secret Technique of Hokuto Shin Ken!" Zelretch declared as everyone held their breaths. "The Strongest Power in the World is Emptiness, to rise from that Emptiness and to find Life. In short by embracing Sorrow one can obtain the Ultimate Secret Technique; Musō Tensei!" Zelretch explained as everyone's eyes went wide and turned back to the fight. "It is a technique very few can truly comprehend the sacrifices needed to gain access and then Mastery over." He then said softly.
Ryuken can only look upon Kenshiro with a lot of pride. "In the Eighteen Hundred Year's history of Hokuto Shinken, no one had managed to accomplish it till you have come along." He said as he teared up. "You are without doubt my most wonderful pupil!"
Kenshiro simply stared down at Zeus as Zeus looked at him in disbelief. "Once you were weakening for me to be able to beat you down, and yet now you are strong enough to even wound me in my strongest state." Zeus said in disbelief. "Just…what are you?" He questioned Kenshiro.
Kenshiro was silent as he stared back at Zeus, who was feeling an entirely different emotion now. One in which he wasn't feeling pumped or excited but shivering all the same with his heart pounding, and yet Zeus did not believe that sensation was excitement or joy. In fact, that he would have to say it's the complete opposite of that!
While Zeus would never say it out loud, what was the emotion that Zeus was feeling in that moment was a sensation that he had not felt till now for the first time in his life, Fear! Kenshiro has managed to teach Zeus the Father of Cosmos the meaning of Fear! A truly great milestone for any such warrior, to make your foe tremble before you.
Soon Toki and Rei came out behind him as did five other men, which included Raoh, Ryuga, Shin, Shu, and Souther, all of whom were staring down at Zeus with firm stoic expression that Kenshiro was carrying on his face, and those men were honored beyond measure to be fighting at the side of Kenshiro and facing down the Father of the Cosmos, not physically but in spirit. Kenshiro raised his arm to the sky which each of the men behind him perfectly following his movement before Kenshiro brought his arms down into a combat pose as they did the same.
Zeus was trembling before the might of Kenshiro and the moment he took a step forward, all the men behind him took a step forward as well. The sheer Fear that Zeus was feeling made him unconsciously take a step back. Shocking the Gods who had never seen Zeus scared of anything, and yet Kenshiro has managed to make him do that.
"I will say it to you Zeus." Kenshiro spoke up as Zeus looked at him. "And I'll say it again forever if need be, Hokuto Shinken is invincible." He declared to Zeus who was unable to say anything or come up with a counter for anything. "Now then let us continue the fight." Kenshiro said before he went fast than Zeus could perceive and launched a devastating Rekka Gyakuryu Ken into Zeus's airway causing him to choke as he could barely breath before Kenshiro finished it off with a Ryūsei Hagan Kyaku, which did some serious damages to Zeus.
Zeus put on a desperate countermeasure as he tried to hit Kenshiro but no matter what attack he did, no matter how much force he put into each blow, it didn't mean a single damn thing since he couldn't hit Kenshiro! Kenshiro on the other hand was able to launch and inflict devastating blows onto Zeus all over his body and Zeus could feel the agony of his body being torn apart from the inside as he struggled to retain his strongest state as he knew the moment, he returned back to normal he was dead!
And so, Zeus put on his desperate struggle as he continued to fail to land a hit on Kenshiro, who was pushing Zeus to his limits and causing him no end of pain as Kenshiro unleashed every attack he knew or had learned from his School. From Kentō Shadan to piece more easily through Zeus's defense, to Gōkin Bundan Kyaku to weaken Zeus's muscles and no longer making him as tough as he once was.
Then Kenshiro calmly blocked and phased through all of Zeus's strongest attacks from the Meteor Jab, Divine Axe, and even The Fist That Surpassed Time! And every single one of those moves failed Zeus as not a single one of them could land a blow on the Sixty Fourth Successor of the Hokuto Shinken Arts! Every God was watching in disbelief as their Strongest and most Combat Experienced God was now failing to the might of a mere Human! Just like Thor had fell to Ragna's might in the First Round.
"Just how? How is this possible!?" Ares muttered in shock as he stared at his father being outmatched so thoroughly by Kenshiro. "How is it that this Kenshiro is now matching and surpassing father in his strongest form?!"
"I have no idea myself." Hermes said with his eyes staring in shock.
Hades had a deep frown on his face. "Truly Kenshiro has surpassed all expectations, and it's safe to say that he's without doubt the Strongest that Humanity has to Champion them. But where could he get all this strength from? It's not even through the Valkyries, he's using his own body and power and just using the Valkyrie as a way to bypass our natural defenses." He noted.
"Something that Zeus noticed as he managed to open his airway to breath deeply as he stared at Kenshiro in fear. "Just how are you this strong Kenshiro?" Using his real name for the first time since this fight has started as Kenshiro narrowed his eyes as tightened his grip.
"My friends made me who I am today. Their hearts, and their love. Their fists are my fists. However, I will keep on fighting... As long as my friends are with me!" Kenshiro declared as all of humanity cheered for Kenshiro to win right here and right now. "And you just threatened each and every last one of them! There is no room for mercy!" Kenshiro shouted as he charged at Zeus.
As Zeus raised up his arms to defend himself Kenshiro unleashed Goshi Retsu Dan on both of Zeus's hands. The results of which are noticed instantly when Zeus's fingers all exploded off of his hands, unable to use any of his more advanced techniques or unable to grasp things anymore.
Then Kenshiro used Jūha Zan to bypass even more of Zeus's hardened yet weakened muscles as he was inflicting serious damages to Zeus's vitals. Shocking Zeus as his Adamas Form was no longer protecting him and forced Zeus to start dodging, but that was easier said than done Kenshiro at this moment surpassed Zeus and was still beyond him as he then unleashed Seiei Kō which drastically increased the sensitivity of the pain that Zeus was feeling and now everything hurt to move or walk for him.
But still Kenshiro went down on him like a bloodhound as he refused to give Zeus a single moment of respite to fight back or even flee. Kenshiro had no such intention of letting Zeus live, especially after he brought into motion for Humanity's Extinction! As he launched a devastating Hyakuretsu Ken on Zeus and caused him serious damage as Zeus could no longer move or retreat anymore as his muscles were imploding and he was bleeding all over.
Kenshiro calmly walked forward to Zeus after he had unleashed that attack and stared down at Zeus with stoic emotionless eyes. "W-w-wait! P-p-p-p-please s-s-stooopppp!" Zeus begged out, shocking the Gods even further as Zeus was reduced to begging in such a pathetic state as his Adamas Form gave out returning him back to normal.
"Zeus, you're already dead." Kenshiro spoke causing every God to flinch in fear of the Man that outmatched the Strongest among them. "Thor is waiting for you on the other side." He declared as Zeus went wide eyed and tried to get away but was damaged beyond belief and help now.
Kenshiro used Tenryū Kokyū Hō to increase his powers as his clothes started to rip apart showing the audience his muscular body build and also his seven scars in the shape of the Big Dipper. Then with one final blow he unleashed one more Secret Technique onto Zeus, Tenha Kassatsu!
Tōki erupted from Kenshiro's fingertips, piercing Zeus's body in the shape of the Big Dipper and erupting every vital point. Which finally once and for all killed Zeus. Then Kenshiro let out a deep sigh of breath as he had defeated Zeus, shocking everyone as Heimdall struggled to say a word but eventually managed to speak it.
"INCREDIBLE! ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! KENSHIRO HAS DEFEATED ZEUS, THE FATHER OF COSMOS! THIS VICTORY FIRMLY BELONGS TO HUMANITY! HUMANITY HAS WON THE SECOND MATCH OF RAGNAROK!" Heimdall announced as Humanity erupted into a fierce cheer for Kenshiro as they were now two to zero and one step closer to winning their right to live.
Every one of Kenshiro's allies and friends were cheering for him heavily as he won them the Second Match. From Bat and Rin dancing around in victory, to Raoh and Toki simply nodded to Kenshiro as he won them the match. To Ryuken laughing hale and heartily as he watched his Apprentice defeat the Strongest God, to Mamiya whooping excitedly. To Yuria crying happily as she watched that Kenshiro made it.
"He won, Kenshiro won! Big Sis he won!" Geir yelled cheerfully as Brunhild and Randgriz embraced Geir happily with their own expressions of contentment. Randgriz was simply happy that Kenshiro won and that Reginleif did not die in this battle. Brunhild was sprouting the biggest shit eating grin of all times, as Kenshiro won and Zeus was now dead, two birds with one stone was only understating how she was feeling right now.
Zelretch sighed in relief. "Well, it seems that Kenshiro won his match, thank goodness for that." He said as he turned to the other Champions. "Well, this is the peak of how high the threat can be, are you all prepared to face this kind of power?" Zelretch questioned seriously.
In response to that Slayer of Demons was glowing with energy, Alucard was grinning the most malicious grin he ever had, Touma gripped his right arm that held Imagine Breaker, Hibiki look determined and tightened the grip she had on her hands, Dante was glowing a dark demonic aura as he looked bloodthirsty, Kratos was just throbbing with power and excitement, Velvet's bandaged arm was seething about most sinisterly it seemed eager for its next meal, Saitama was brimming with determination as his muscles budged as he tightened his grip, God Emperor's eyes was shining with Psyker Might, Doom Slayer was letting out an bloodthirsty aura of red and violence that if one could hear was saying "Rip and Tear," and finally Hassan's eyes shined even brighter than normal as they were already to fight for humanity.
Kenshiro cracked his neck and stretched his body after he had finished the fight and let Reginleif out. "You have my thanks; I do not believe I would have won without your aid." Kenshiro rumbled as he gave out a respectful bow to her. "Thank you very much for granting me the strength to protect my loved ones." Kenshiro said respectfully.
Reginleif simply smiled back. "Nay Sir Kenshiro, you brought upon victory with your own two hands, this was your hard-earned work not mine." She said as she motioned for Kenshiro to turn to the exit. "Now come, I believe we have overstayed our welcome here." She said as Kenshiro nodded as they walked off towards the exit to leave.
Meanwhile back with the Gods, they were in chaos as they now had lost two times in a row, and to make things worse, it was with Zeus, and for the first time the Gods were scared since they had lost the Strongest Nordic God and now, they lost the Strongest God of them all. Odin was seething with rage and anger, Loki looked positively murderous, Ares was simply crying both to losing his father and for seeing the greatest fight ever, Hermes was now sweating all over as he had no idea what to do. Shiva scoffed as smashed his hands on the wall at the chance of losing such a great fight but also relieved that he didn't went seeing how vicious that Mortal was to Zeus. Aphrodite was no longer as beautiful as she trembled in anger as she gained a terrifying nightmarish look upon her face. Hades frowned at the loss but accepted it, as complaining over spilled milk at this point was pointless.
The battle had ended in a victory for Humanity once again, as they've won the Second Round. Against all Odds, Kenshiro had persevered in the face of Zeus's Might and defeated him. The Second Round of Ragnarök belongs to Humanity. As Mankind cheered in celebration of Kenshiro's feats, all of Divinity sweated and were in disbelief at the fact that their Strongest God lost to a Man. And now Despair began swelling up in the Gods as they had to accept the fact that they've lost. Normally One would feel bad for these Gods, however they conspired to commit Extinction, and thus one can say that this Despair was their own doing.

Back into the Waiting Room Zelretch, Brunhild, Geir, Randgriz, and Ragna were sitting on a table to discuss events.
"So, with that said, Zeus is now out and the biggest threat to Humanity's Extinction is gone." Brunhild said with the same happy grin on her face since Zeus was gone forever and would no longer anger or annoy her.
"Indeed, but we should still be cautious, the Gods still have plenty of dangerous fighters still, and all it takes is one bad matchup for us to lose." Zelretch cautioned her to which Brunhild reluctantly conceded and had to get off the happy high she was on. "Still, I must say, the results were better than I thought or hoped for." Zelretch said with a grin.
"Agreed now we have to think about who is going next and we're going to send out to fight." Randgriz said as all of them agreed and soon Geir noticed something.
"Hey wait, big sis Griz, why are you still with Ragna?" Geir asked Randgriz who blinked as did Ragna. "I mean I understand why you're with him since you two fought together, but that doesn't mean you have to be together twenty-four/seven now does it?" She asked.
"Elder Sister, did you not tell Geir of the nature of Volund?" Randgriz asked softly though now there was a tone of disproval as Brunhild looked down. "I see I shall explain it to our youngest sister then." Randgriz said as she turned to Geir. "The nature of Volund is simply more than us becoming the weapons of our Champions, we entangle our very soul and beings with them, so that they can access full unrestricted access to our powers. But doing so is a very permeant process and if our user dies, so do we." Randgriz explained to Geir who had a look of shock and turned to Brunhild.
The room was silent as she started to tear up and could only ask her one thing. "Why?" She all but begged to know.
Brunhild sighed as she got up and knelt before Geir and looked at her seriously. "We're in a war for Humanity's right to live, making sacrifices is a necessity and something that cannot be avoided Geir." Brunhild said softly.
"And it's not like we didn't know either." Randgriz chimed in. "We all knew the risks when Eldest Sister Brunhild told us, and we all accepted to do so, because we are Valkyries and we hold the closest connections to mankind and the deepest bonds." Randgriz said as she got up and hugged Geir.
"In this life we have, we may live long but life without meaning is the same as being a cog in a machine, being part of this gives us purpose in ways we haven't had before. And we all want to protect Humanity no matter what." Randgriz said to Geir who tearfully nodded.
"I understand." She sniffled. "I just wish you could have told me about this so I could be prepared to say goodbye to you." She said breaking the hearts of her sisters who knew that Geir had to deal with this painful piece of information now every time they fight.
"There's not going to be a need for that." Ragna said interrupting this moment as Geir turned to Ragna in disbelief. Ragna simply smirked at Geir as he got up and rubbed her head like a meddlesome older brother. "There's no way that any of us Champions are going to bite the dust, not when they got a baby sister to come back to." Ragna said as he knelt down to her. "So don't look upset, instead you should smile and cheer like you do whenever your older sisters are fighting. Because after all, us big siblings got to look cool in front of the little ones." He said kindly as Geir smiled tearfully and nodded.
"Got it Ragna!" Geir said as everyone smiled at the soft spot the Azure Guardian showed. And for Randgriz she smiled and now she also blushed, Ragna truly was a good person and the more and more time she spent with him, the more and more she cared deeply about him.
"Alright then so the question is who do we sent next to fight?" Zelretch said.
"That would depend on who's fighting Lord Zelretch." Brunhild said as she looked on her phone and widened her eyes at who it was before she grimaced. "Seems like the Greeks are in for revenge now." Brunhild said as she showed everyone the name of the next fighter.
Poseidon.
"That's going to be a tough one to match." Zelretch said. "Especially since he's going to take us seriously and fight with everything, he's got to make humanity suffer for the loss of Thor and Zeus." He said as everyone nodded.
"So, the question is who do we want to send out?" Randgriz asked the million-dollar question in everyone's mind.
And just as Brunhild was about to offer up a name, someone else spoke up.
"I shall go." The voice said as everyone turned to where it came from and blinked in surprise.
"Wait, you're going to fight now?" Geir said in surprise as the Warrior stood in the doorway.
"Yes, this God shall fall." The warrior declared as everyone turned to Brunhild and Zeus for advice.
Zelretch simply shrugged. "Don't look at me, none of the Champions I picked are exactly specialized for water combat, but our fellow here is among the most stubborn and determined of the lot if I have to say so myself, so if anyone could do it, possibly this one." Zelretch said.
Brunhild mused over the possibility before coming to a decision. "Very well then, we entrust everything to you." She said as the Warrior nodded. "And make sure that Sister Hrist is with you as well, because I have a feeling, you'll need her strength for this fight more than ever." She added in.
"Understood Lady Brunhild, but mark my words, I will not fail to bring Humanity another Victory." The Slayer of Demons said softly before them as Geir got up in to say something but accidentally knocked over a plate of uncut pie. Which Slayer managed to pull out his Sword at the same time and calmly lifted the plate and the pie up and flipped it over so the plate landed on the table on the right side. Then with a single slash, cut the pie into perfectly even pieces with all but one slice back onto the plate where it was as the last slice was on the sword. Then Slayer brought the pie to his helmet and opened it a bit before he ate it.
'What remarkable skills!' Brunhild thought incredulously. 'No doubt about it, this man is a exceptional warrior.' As Slayer nodded to them before he walked off, but not before adding one more thing.
"I'm always at the Peak of my Strength." Slayer stated as he walked off.
