The screen turned on to show an overhead view of the Country of France
"What is this?" Loki asked.
"That is the planet the human race is from. And more importantly that people is the continent of Europe. We are currently looking at the country of France" EVAH replied
"Are they important in the war?" Tsubaki asked in curiosity.
"They were there since the start of World War I in fact. The French were one of the allied nations called the Entente. Most of the most infamous and deadly battles of the war and in our history were took place on French soil. And though the war took place all over the world. You can argue that most of the carnage and hell that defined world war 1 took place in France.Plus it didn't help that France and Germany were bitter rivals well before the war broke out." EVAH answered
Cassandra was then heard speaking as the camera slowly zoomed in on a portion of France.
Cassandra: My granddad fought in the Civil War. Before I left he told me what it takes to stay alive but, nothing could've prepared me for what I saw. New machines of war, like the tank, could sometimes change the battlefield over night. Luckily they were mostly on our side... Mostly..."
the camera then zoomed into the country of France as the screen faded to black.
"The Hundred Days Offensive began on the 10th of August to the 11th of November 1918. It was a series of massive Allied offensives Beginning with the Battle of Amiens on the 8–12 Of August on the Western Front, the Allies pushed the Central Powers back, undoing their gains from the German spring offensive. The Germans retreated to the Hindenburg Lineready to put up one last defiant fight."
"I fear that it's going to be a bloody fight." lillie said as she was worried since this would be focusing on her.
Then a text was then seen appearing.
Text: Ribecourt, France. Fall 1918. It is late in the war. As winter draws in, the Germans fortify their lines and dare the enemy to come to them. Waves of infantry die crashing against German concrete. The maps do not change.
"So much life wasted." Freya sighed as she looked at some red wine that EVAH had provided her.
"Why don't they just wait until the winter ends? Lillie asked
"They can, but by then the Germans would be ready for a counter-attack. It would also give them time to reinforce their position with stronger defenses as well as bringing in supplies. The allies believed that this was probably their last true opportunity to be able to breakthrough" EVAH answered.
Text: Heavily-armed and well-protected, the British Mark. V Tank is a fearsome war machine. It clears trenches. It destroys barbed wires. The Tank can breakthrough.
"With a weapon like that, I could understand them deciding too go on the offensive." Diancecht said with an impressed look.
Text: On October 17, British Forces prepare for a mass assault on the town of Cambrai. With tank support, Allied Command believes a breakthrough is a certainty.
Text: But the Mark V Tank has one major flaw like most of the new weapons of war that were rushed; it is not reliable.
"Well there goes that mood. Eh Diancecht?" Naaza said smugly. To receive a scowl from said god.
The text then disappeared as the screen then faded to a mansion, where an old car was seen parked in front of it. The screen then cut to the person who was driving it, revealing them to be Liliruca Arde, who was patiently waiting for somebody as she gripped her hands on the steering wheel.
"And there's me" Lillie said "wow, you sure look nice as a human" Hermes said with a smirk only to get hit by Asfi.
"At this point in time, Lillie was a chauffeur" EVAH said.
"I guess that's a job that I could see you take Lillie" Hestia said to her frienemy.
The screen then cut to Lili's pov, where she was seen looking at her gloved hands, until the screen suddenly cut to her next to a blown up tank, with blood all over her hands
"What the?!" Said girl shouted in shock at the sudden transition
"Is she okay? There's blood on her hands and there's a blown up vehicle nearby" Welf asked in concern
The camera then shifted out of Lilies pov, where she was seen looking up with a stoic facial expression as yelling was heard and a dead body was seen near her, on fire Everyone looked at the screen in shock and some horror.
"D-did I do that?" Lillie asked in horror.
"You don't have to worry about that Lillie." EVAH replied.
The screen then suddenly shifted to Lillie in her army clothing, but now at an army base as someone called her name
"Arde! Lilie quickly looked to her left, where Mamma Mia was seen standing next to her, in what appeared to be officers clothing
"Mamma/Mia" some people said in surprise
"Oh great, I'm one of the first to appear" Mia said exasperated.
"D-don't worry Mamma! I'm sure you'll be ok!" May said, her fist balled in determinationas she looked at her. At that Mia just smiled and patted her head.
Lilli quickly turned to Mia and saluted her.
Lilli: "Ma'am."
"What rank is Mia?" Freya asked.
"Mia Grand here is a Captain (Townsends real rank is unknown) in the allied forces" EVAH replied
"Wait really?" Mia said in surprise.
"Awesome! With Mamma in command those Germans won't know what hit them!" Anya cheerfully yelled.
Mia: Grand. Come on, you'll miss all the fun."
"What's with the deal with my accent?" Mia asked.
"Since these are your alternate counterparts you have the accents of their nationality. Mia, you have a Scottish Accent. Lillie you have a British accent, to be a little more specific, a cockney accent (?) and well for the others, Irish, Lancaster, and midland accents. EVAH said. Then she began to do a chuckle.
"What?"
"Nothing, just an old old joke mycreators used to have. I only know the very beginning of the joke so there is no point. But it began with. "So an Englishman, a Scotsman and an Irishman walk into a bar."
Mia then started to walk, with Lilli following suit as many other British Soldiers were seen discussing, prepping or doing something else As she followed Mia, Lillie looked around, where she saw a group of soldiers firing a mortar, soon after spotting another soldier taking care of some pigeons.
"What's with the pigeons?" Raul asked still upset but calm enough.
"During the war, Pigeons were generally used to deliver important messages back to command" EVAH replied
"Then I'd imagine that the enemy would often shoot them down then, if both sides used pigeons in the war" Asfi guessed
"You'd be correct, Miss Andromeda" EVAH answered.
"Huh, who'd of thought that Pigeons of all things could be that damn important"
Bete chuckled; in truth, there were times when his tribe would catch them and eat them. Not the worst thing to eat but not at the top either.
Mia looked back at Lillie as the two continued to walk.
Mia: "I been looking at your papers."
Lilli: "Don't worry about me, Ma'am. I'm ready to do my bit for King and Country."
Mia: "Listen, lass. You find forward and reverse when you're told and you'll do alright for me."
"I think you have to do more than that but ok" Welf deadpanned looking at Lilli.
Mia then went on to grab two large containers that were likely for a tank before motioning to two more near Her
Mia: Grab those, would ya? Lilli quickly did so as Mia looked back at her with a smirk as they moved along
Mia: And come and meet Big Bess. Woman of your dreams.
"Really?" nearly everyone said with an eyebrow raised
Lilie looked to where Mia was headed, where she saw Big Bess, who was a tank that looked awfully familiar to the one that we saw in Storm of Steel.
A male was seen standing up on top of Big Bess while another figure was seen doing work to the tank from the side. This caused a few people to whistle.
"Maybe she is the woman of my dreams" Mia jokingly chuckled
"She definitely is for me" Taubaki said with a shit eating grin
The screen then cut to Lillie and Mia both at the tank, where Line was seen working on the tank as Mia headed inside of the tank
"Looks like I'm apart of the crew" Line observed
Mia: Found our new driver lads! Lillie looked at the tank in awe as the camera gave us a good few shots of Big Bess.
"Imagine if we got her hands on that" Hephaestus said.
"It would certainly be quite the thing." Welf and Ouranus both said with a shiver at the thought; when they remembered what EVAH said earlier about how deadly those weapons were, as well as seeing it first hand.
Lillie was then seen entering Big Bess before looking around, where Mia was seen doing something and Bete was seen entering as well.
"Oh, look who's there too" Loki said in some surprise and worry.
"Lillie went to turn around only to see a pigeon in a cage start to flap it's wings, causing Lillie to nearly jump in shock but hit her head against a part of the interior of Big Bess.
Lillie: Ah! Bloody-!
Tsubaki was suddenly seen looking at Lillie in shock before rushing to her with a panicked expression"Huh, feels weird seeing the other me!"
Tsubaki: Whoa, whoa, whoa, nonononononono! Don't-Don't swear!
"Says the woman who can put a sailor and a bandit so shame" Welf and Hephaestus said with a shared brief laugh.
Lillie gripped her head in pain plus annoyance as she frowned at Tsubaki, who patted a part of the tank with a smirk.
Tsubaki: She does not like it when you swear. She then stuck her hand towards Lillie
Tsubaki: "Names Collbrande." She said as she offers her hand to Lilie to which Lillie took and shook it.
Lillie:"Arde." Tsubaki simply grinned at that
Tsubaki: "You done this before?"
Bete was then seen glaring at the duo from where he was at.
Bete: Done what before?
"Bete still the grouchy guy we always know, I guess it doesn't matter what universe he's in." Finn said with a grin.
"What?! You want a fight?!" Bete snapped while the other Familia members laughed
"Right" Gareth and Tione said with shit eating grins, causing Bete to roll his eyes.
Tsubaki looked at Bete in disbelief.
Tsubaki: Mind your business, Bete!
"Yeah, Bete!" Tsubaki said, causing Bete to flip her off.
Tsubaki looked back at Lillie with a smile.
Tsubaki: Listen, don't worry, she'll look after you, yeah?
Lilli simply nodded as Line was seen entering Big Bess before closing the door to get in.
Mia: Alright lasses and lad. This is the big one.
Mia looked at each of her crew mates as she continued her little speech.
Mia: Our orders, are to punch through the German line- destroying artillery positions as we go."Good luck Lillie." Bell Said as there was clear worry in his voice. "D-don't worry master Bell. I'll be alright." Her tone and hesitation told him other wise.
"This will be brutal" Armid said, fearing what's going to come up.
Line was seen nodding as Mia turned towards Lillie
Mia: "Arde."
Lillie: "Yes Ma'am" She responded as she quickly went towards a rather large crank shaft, and quickly pulled it towards her before pushing it forwards and back then, starting the engine.
"Now that's interesting." Welf said "
Lillie was then seen in the drivers seat, gripping the controls as she took a deep breath.
Mia: After that, we'll advance on the French town of Cambrai-
"So that's the name of the place." Rose said as Misha just nodded with her.
Where I have been assured there is wine, song and fine sex."
"Oh my." Bell said as he just blushed.
"HAHAH!" Hermes could only laugh as he didn't care if he was going to be hit.
The two young elves and Eina cold only blush red.
Some of the other gods could only give a light chuckle.
While the staff could only look at Mia.
Sigh* was all Mia did as she could only put a hand on her face.
Bete however scoffed as Line laughed
Line: "Ha! Bete won't"
"What do you mean?!" Bete said in disbelief while everyone else just looked at him.
Lillie then attempted to move Big Bess forwards, but the tank only moved a bit before stalling for a moment, with the rest of the crew having to catch themselves to hold their balance.
Bete: "Holy mother, are we in safe hands or what gals?!"
"I don't know how to drive a Tank!" Lillie yelled at Bete.
"Easy Lillie." Welf said.
"It seems this Bete and ours are one in the same..sans the obvious accent." Riveria said.
"Shut it hag!"
"My point exactly."
"Well I'm sure she'll get the hang of it quickly, she wouldn't be there if she didn't." Haruhime said as the Hestia familia nodded in supportive agreement.
Mia simply patted Bete on the shoulder
Mia: "Alright Bete."
Mia then looked at the rest of the crew.
Mia: Remember lads- do your jobs. Take care of each other, and Big Bess will take care of you.
"Wait, what are the roles of Bete, Line and Tsubaki anyways?" Loki asked
"Tsubaki focuses on the mechanical parts, she makes sure the tank doesn't fail, and line and Bete are both the loaders and gunners."
Mia and the others nodded as Bete grabbed a shell and quickly armed it on one of the gunner seats.
Bete: "May the Lord have Mercy on our souls."
Mia then moved towards the front, next to Lillie as she looked through the small opening that the tank had that allowed her to see
Mia: "We'll get through this together. Right Arde?"
Lillie: "Right Ma'am."
Mia: Full ahead driver! Lillie then pulled the levers forward and drove Big Bess forwards, with the tank not stalling this time. The screen cut to a group of British soldiers all in the trenches preparing for their assault as Big Bess was seen driving above and by them in what is arguably a pretty badass cinematic.
"Now that is how you make an entrance!" Lunoir exclaimed, while Chloe, May, Anya and Bell all cheered.
"An incredible one too" Hephaestus and Take both added.
The screen then cut to a 3rd person perspective of the tank, with Lillie driving it towards the warzone
Bete: "That damn bird is shedding."
Tsubaki: (In annoyance) "Moulting, Bete! Birds molt."
Bete: "I'll plug every feather off that damn-!"
Mia: "Easy there, that pigeon could save your life. It's our only line of communication."
"How is a pigeon supposed to save them anyways? If they're being overrun I don't think a pigeon will be able to save them by getting back to command in time" Ouka stated
"He's honestly not that wrong" Tiona said as most everyone there didn't know about carrier pigeons.
"Well thanks for making my confidence in all five of us surviving decrease" Lillie said with a pout.
"We are in war" Mia said, "It's really gonna have to be a miracle for us to survive, especially when... Well... After the last video"
Raul and Anakitty both sadly sighed at having to remember the two of them getting killed in the previous video, with both of them totally not in a soon to be relationship.
For once in a blue moon Loki offered emotional support for her children.
Lillie drove by the wreckage of some of the former buildings that had been destroyed, whether if it was caused by grenades, artillery or god knows.
Tsubaki: "You good up there Arde?"
Lillie: (A bit nervously) "Yes! Starting to get the hang of it."
Tsubaki: "What'd you do back home?"
Lillie: "Drove! A car. I was a chauffeur."
"Imagine going from driving rich people to places to a driving in a war" Eina said.
"That would be an extremely unfortunate situation" Riveria stated.
"Unfortunate? How about Ironic" Loki sarcastically stated.
Lillie was just about to drive Big Bess across a bridge when Mia ordered her to stop.
Mia: "All stop! This is far enough. Infantry'll go on the first whistle, then we follow.
"So they're coming in as the heavy hitters." Finn said.
In front of them, was simply what could only be described as the aftermath of a warzone, which was just about to have another bloody fight incoming.
"My god" Riveria said in shock and horror that was shared by everyone else, with the exception of EVAH
"This must've been a Village of sorts before this war" Line remorsefully said.
Mia: "Listen! We're going to cut down the guns up by that windmill. After a moment of silence, planes were heard flying by in the sky as whistling was heard and the British infantry were seen charging to the windmill.
"And now starts the attack" Tsubaki said "Along with the killing" Line said in a bit of fear.
Mia: Give our boys some room! After a moment of the British infantry all yelling as they charged towards the windmill, a second wave of whistling was heard
Mia: "That's our cue! Full ahead!"
Lillie followed orders and drove Big Bess forwards, charging towards the windmill with other friendly tanks being seen nearby also charging towards the battlefield.
"And now here we come" Lillie and Line nervously said.
The Germans quickly responded to the threat of tanks by sending in an Artillery strike, destroying two nearby tanks, one of which got unfortunately stuck in a large puddle of mud before getting blown up
Mia: See that tank Arde? Don't get us stuck in the mud like that.
"Please" Mia, Tsubaki and line all said
"I hope I don't" Lillie nervously replied.
"I can start to see why it said the tank is unreliable. Not even a chance." Loki said fearing for her two children.
"At least it looked quick." Miach said, with a few nod of agreement.
Lillie: "They got one of ours!"
Mia: "Eyes front Arde, drive!"
Lillie kept on driving Big Bess through the wreckages of war and around mud puddles as field guns were heard opening fire on some of the incoming tanks while British infantry continued their charge forwards, with many of them getting shot down. As Big Bess got closer and closer to the objective, a field gun was then seen opening fire on them
Line: "Field gun!"
Mia:"Move and get a clear shot of those field guns!"
Lillie quickly moved the away from the tank, allowing Bete to get a clear shot of the field gun which he took, and fired a tank shell right towards said field gun and eliminating the threat, while Lillie used the front machine guns and Line used the other turret to eliminate incoming Germans, while Lillie continued to drive Big Bess.
Mia: "Field gun destroyed!" A nearby tank suddenly got blown up, damaging Big Bess, but she kept going.
Line: "Effin' field gun- right there!"
Lillie quickly spotted the field gun Line was shouting about and fired a tank shell towards it, destroying it in a similar fashion to how Bete killed his.
"Why to go!" Loki shouted to her two children.
"Nice driving." Haruhime said...a bit unsure about whether she should considering that it's in war.
Lillie then drove Big Bess into the area that they were supposed to attack, where nearby the German flag was seen flying high on a flag post
"Looks like that's what we're supposed to capture then." Lillie observed
"Gee you think?" Bete said as he didn't really show much appreciation at such obvious questions. In fact, it was the second thing he hated most in life.
While around him those with weaker stomachs tried not to hurl after seeing a bunch of soldiers, both German and British getting killed and the actions of their fellow familia members.
Mia: "Hold position here. Clean out all the German guns."
And that's exactly what the tank crew of Big Bess did, with Lillie focusing on German soldiers attempting to charge them from the front, while Bete and Line both dealt with any Germans coming at them from the sides.
Many Germans attempted to open fire or sneak around Big Bess, but someone using the guns would always end up killing them before they could really do any damage to the tank. With each German they killed, more and more British infantry would show up, but the Germans kept on coming back in a desperate attempt to prevent the British from capturing their location.
Tsubaki: "Come on! The Fritz don't give up unless we force 'em!"
"I hope, really hope they give up soon. There's so much killing already." Haruhime said in sadness.
"I'm afraid this was - common occurrence. This was just the standard normal fighting." EVAH replied, causing Haruhime to lightly nod as Mikoto patted her in the back.
Just as they managed to clear out the area, a new batch of German troopers all charged towards the attacking British, but thanks to the help of Big Bess' Emma Gee mowing down the Germans in quite brutal ways, other ally tanks plus the Germans having no real way to fight against the tanks at the moment, they were easily able to hold off the mini German attack.
Mia: "That's it! Hold and keep them suppressed. Suddenly, some of the Germans that managed to survive the failed attack on the British were seen retreating, with Big Bess opening fire around them, encouraging them to run away while nearby, a few British soldiers were seen taking down the German flag before replacing it with the British flag and raising it high in the air.
Tsubaki: WOO! WE ARE RIGHTEOUS BRITS LADS!"
"YEAH!" Tsubaki cheered along her alternate self. As surprisingly Line cheered along.
Mia: "Good job lads. Now we take the next trench line."
Lillie was able to see the next trench line from where they were, where the Germans looked much more solidified there than they were at the windmill.
"Oh no." Bell, Lefiya, Tiona and May said in fear.
"gods you guys might have just jinxed yourselves." Lunoir said in equal worry.
"They're much more fortified there" Eina nervously added.
"Looks like the Germans this time are expecting them" Hermes said.
"Oh boy" Lillie and line said in nervousness.
Lillie quickly decided to position the tank for Bete and Line to fire a few tank shells at the locations of the field guns and machine guns, to help make the attack on the next trench line easier, Line and Bete both catching onto what Lillie was doing fired on the field guns and turrets that they could hit.
Tsubaki: "They're gone!"
Lillie then started Big Bess' and drove forward and towards the next trench line, following the infantry who were yet again leading this part of the attack Even more field guns were seen opening fire on them along with other tanks, but the Big Bess crew along with the other tanks were able to make quick work of them.
Mia: "Keep pushing lads! The trench line up on the ridge driver!"
Lillie drove Big Bess onto the site of the trench line, where many Germans were seen attempting to use their guns in a desperate attempt to deal damage on Big Bess, but it was worthless, as they would get torn to shreds by the Emma gee machine gun.
"Ignoring the brutality of the deaths" Hestia said with a wince at the Germans getting torn to shreds via Emma Gee.
"Why are they shooting the tank with their guns? They should know that it won't work."
"Well there are a few things. They are hoping to hit Lillie through the view port and kill her." EVAH said getting an obvious grimace from her and some stern stares from her Familia.
Mia: "Hold here and clear the area, be sure our boys have time to move up!"
Lillie would hold position as off in the distance, she spotted multiple field guns raining hell on them. So They starting to return fire with their tank shells, destroying each field gun one by one, while Bete and Line both focused on the incoming infantry. One German soldier was about to through a specialized grenade towards the tank, only for a British soldier to come out of nowhere and kill him with his bayonet.
"That was random" Rose said in surprise"
"He just might have saved Big Bess from taking damage. Looks like he was about to throw a what was it again, a grenade!" Filvis observed.
Tsubaki: "Nice work, we're showing them lads!"
This time, even more Germans were seen charging towards the British on their counter-attack, with multiple Germans being seen charging towards the infantry and holding their own well against them, only for Big Bess to join in on the fun and demolish them Similar to earlier, the remaining Germans were then seen retreating after realizing that they still had tanks and that they were still too powerful, while the British were seen replacing the German flag there with a British flag.
"And that's the second flag up" Line said "We're actually doing pretty good" Lillie agreed with a smile.
"Hopefully we can keep it up, cause we're kicking ass" Tsubaki said with a light grin
Tsubaki: "For King and Country!"
Mia: "Good job! But remember, the day's still young."
"Unfortunately" Anakitty said under her breath.
Mia: "We're heading for the ruins. Clearing a path for the infantry."
This time it was Big Bess leading the charge as a few Germans used the wrecked buildings nearby to try and get the element of surprise on the Big Bess crew, but their attempts were proved worthless when they were mowed down.
Bete: "We need too wipe out that field gun crew!"
Lillie quickly spotted the field gun crew he was referring too and positioned the tank towards the group, Line managing to get the kill, killing two of the men firing with the field gun and injuring the 3rd, allowing the crew to continue their advance on them.
Lillie then drove Big Bess onto the 3rd capture point, where another German flag was seen on top of a flagpole along with many Germans attempting to hide in a broken down house, which Bete managed to stop by firing a tank shell towards the foundation of the building and causing it to crumble down, killing or at least trapping all of those Germans who chose to try and hide there.
"Oh god, imagine getting killing by a building collapsing on top of you" Lefiya said in fear and horror.
"I don't even want to imagine that." Line, Raul, and Eina all said with a shiver.
Bete actually scowled at this action. It reminded him of how he was buried and his tribe crushed under the feet of a monster. And it also reminded him of his childhood friend Renee died. As he was helpless to do anything.
Yes, Bete really hated what his counterpart did.
Mia: "Good job Loga! Driver, hold this position! Mop up the remaining Jerries!"
A small group of Germans were seen counter charging towards the objective, but one of the Germans saw Big Bess and quickly decided to instead book it away from the site as his squadmates all charged in, only to get annihilated by Big Bess.
"Ok, that one guy was smart" Welf chuckled after seeing the one German making the wise decision to book.
"He literally booked it away after realizing what he was against" Mia added with a light smile.
"Can't blame him" Freya said in some amusement.
Bete: "Stay focused you lasses!"
Line: Should I give the bird some rum? It's having a right to-do?"
"What?" Line said at hearing her counterpart only to get a shrug as a response from a few people as she looked around hoping for an answer.
Mia: "Don't mess with the pigeon Arshe. It's our only link back to headquarters."
Big Bess' Emma Gee began to fire on the still incoming Germans as Bete presumably turned towards Lillie.
Bete: "Arde, how about you? You need a drink to steady your hands?"
Lillie: "No, I don't drink"
"Bete offering to share a drink!? The world has come to an end." Loki said in mock horror.
"Indeed it has." Gareth joined in at the uncharacteristic act from the Wolf.
Riveria just sighed as she looked at the viewing and all the death and destruction.
"In more ways then one." She added.
Mia: "Save the fun and games when we arrive at Cambrai lads."
Bete was heard chuckling as he went back to firing on incoming Germans, while Lillie started to focus her attention on a few field guns that were located nearby as the British were seen yet again pulling down the German flag and replacing it with the British flag, while a group of Germans were seen setting up a perimeter. The reason why was soon spotted by Lillie when she spotted a German tank rolling from the German side towards them.
Lillie: "STURMPANZER CLOSING IN!"
"What the hell?!" Welf, Ouka, Tsubaki, Anya, Lunoir and Loki shouted in shock.
"I thought only the British had the tanks!" Bell and Eina both shouted in horror
"That's naive to think so. Of course the Germans were gonna have their own version of tanks. This worlds Cassandra even made some kind of mention to it." EVAH said.
"This is just fucking great!"
Mia: "That landship'll rip our boys apart! Arde, get us in! Gunners go for the soft spots!"
The Sturmpanzer was seen closing in and opening fire on Big Bess, every shot getting closer and closer to the tank, but Lillie and the two gunners all returned fire with their tank shells, with the two tanks swapping between reloading and opening fire on each other. But Big Bess had an advantage in the form of fellow British soldiers all throwing grenades towards the Sturmpanzer, dealing a good amount of damage and allowing the crew to fire the finishing shell and destroy the Sturmpanzer, with a small explosion being the reward.
"That was a bit too close for comfort" Loki said as she sighed in relief of winning the tank fight
"Big Bess has to be a lucky charm or something." Take said in serious concern
"It probably is. But no way that they get away from that fully unscathed" Hephaestus said in equal concern.
Unfortunately, the German infantry also made an advance at the same time and were starting to really challenge the British as Lillie was forced to have to focus on positioning Bess on the field guns again.
Bete: Jeez! Jerries keep swarming in!"
They're really going for the counter attack here" Ouranus said.
Soon after the destruction of the Sturmpanzer and far away field guns, Lillie and the gunners were able to finally focus on the German infantry, which were now starting to lose to the British Infantry and were starting to retreat again, while the British were yet again replacing the German flag with the British one.
"Yeah!" nearly all of the adventures cheered in excitement.
Mia: "Great work lads! Time to move on!"
Unfortunately, the Germans decided that this was the perfect time to send an Artillery Strike onto the group.
Bete: "HEAVIES ARE RAINING FIRE"!
Line: "HEADS DOWN!"
"NO!" all of the Loki familia said in some tone or another. Hestia Familia and the hostess staff all screamed in horror and fear.
except for Lillie, Mia and the rest, those five just widened their eyes in horror along with Loki and Hephaestus.
Big Bess would survive, although it got a decent amount of damage due too near misses and the shrapnel.
"Oh they survived!" Was the shouted in relief.
"How?!" Line said in equal disbelief.
"Oh my gods, we actually survived" Lillie said as she actually fell over to her side, Welf catching her, with the the others also cheering in relief.
Lillie was heard trying to drive the tank, but it wouldn't move
Lillie: "Throttle's dead! I can't move her!"
"Wait what?!" Lillie shouted in shock
"They're sitting out in the open. something had to have broken from that" Tsubaki said.
"Well, it's not as bad as what we were expecting, so that's a positive!" Line quickly said.
Mia: "Collbrande, I need you out there to take a look!"
"W-wait. Out there? As in going to the battlefield?" Tsubaki said in horror.
"Unfortunately, you are the one tasked with repairs." EVAH replied.
"No way isn't there any other way?!" Welf and Hephaestus asked angrily. More at the situation rather then at EVAH.
"The reality is that Mia either risks getting blown to shreds like that tank from earlier, or risk this to get the tank up and running again." EVAH asked the Smiths. Too which they simply stayed silent.
After noting the silent looks, EVAH simply nodded.
"Don't worry everyone." Lillie said as she looked at the viewing with determination,
Mia: "We'll make sure that she gets back inside ok!"
"We will." Line said in equal determination, while Lillie and Tsubaki both nodded.
Bete: "Watch your arse Arde!"
Mia: Arde, get out and lend her a hand!"
"Lillie will be there too it looks like now." Bell said in worry.
"I-I-I'll be fine master Bell." Lillie said with hesitation as even she didn't know what would happen.
Tsubaki was then seen getting out of the tank before rushing over to where the transmission is and opening it up while gunfire was heard in the background. Sparks and smoke appear from the transmission, causing her and Tsubaki have to cover their faces and look away for a second before looking back.
Tsubaki: "Okay." She was seen taking out a tool that looked like it was part Wrench and part Hammer before using it to try and fix the transmission. Lillie was then seen getting out of the tank while holding what appeared to be a pistol, more specifically either the P08 or C93.
Tsubaki: "Right, Arde!" Lillie quickly closed the doors as Bete, who was behind the turret that was next to them quickly opened fire on a group of German soldiers who tried to get Lillie and Tsubaki but failed and instead got killed.
"Oh!" most of the mortals yelled in shock at the sudden deaths
"Someone just saved us." Lillie said in some shock "Thankfully" Hestia added.
soon after Lillie then crouched next to Tsubaki as she glanced back before focusing back on the tank.
Tsubaki: "Arde, you good?"
Lillie: (A bit nervously) "yeah mate."
Tsubaki: "You sure?"
Lillie: "Yes-"
All of a sudden an explosion occurred right next to them, sending Tsubaki backwards and on her back and Lillie on her side!
"LILLIE/TSUBAKI!!!" was the shout in horror.
Tsubaki: "Arde!" Lillie quickly got back up and tried to get to Tsubaki, but was forced to get behind Big Bess for cover from Germans opening fire on her.
"No!" Hephaestus and Hestia both said as they looked at the screen in fear at what was gonna happen next.
Mia: Tsubaki!!! GET US MOVING!"
Lillie then looked at Tsubaki from her cover as she was heard groaning and tried to get back up, until all over a sudden, gunfire struck Tsubaki in the chest and head, killing her instantly as blood was seen going everywhere.
"TSUBAKI!!!" Welf, Hephaestus and Lillie all screamed in shock and horror, with Hepatitis being the loudest and most horrified while Tsubaki looked at the screen in shock.
"So that's what it feels like." She simply or numbly said.
The rest of the mortals looked at the screen in shock and horror though not as loudly at the way Tsubaki went out.
Lillie: (In horror) "TSUBAKI IS GONE!!!"
Mia: "Shit! Keep it together lass! Just get us moving!"
The screen cut to Lillie's pov as she ran over to Her corpse and picked up the Repair Tool and took one last glance at her fallen comrade before running to the transmission and quickly fixing it up before getting back inside.
"Are we seriously going to leave her body behind?" Line asked horrified.
"You can't really do anything. You are are in the middle of a warzone. But don't worry. They have burial details to come and retrieve the bodies." EVAH stated.
During this time period, another Sturmpanzer had appeared and was opening fire on Big Bess, with Line and Bete both fire their tank shells towards it and blowing it up.
Mia: "Get a move on driver!"
Bete: "We've took a damn Jonah and now Tsubaki'a gone!"
Mia: "Loga! Pull yourself together!"
"It's pretty hard to right now!" Line sadly said.
Mia: "Get us to that village driver! Their artillery's holed up there."
Lillie started the drive towards the German artillery position, leaving Tsubaki's corpse behind as a few British Soldiers were seen moving up with Big Bess.
Both Bete and Line opened fire on every Field gun that they spotted while Also staying focused on incoming German infantry.
Mia: "Gun's down, punch it Arde!"
The remaining Big Bess crew fought their way through the German forces, dealing with Field Guns and German soldiers trying to shoot the tank, while fellow British infantry charged alongside Big Bess, with some soldiers providing covering fire for the tank on infantry that they didn't spot. After the charge, the crew managed to spot the Artillery guns, with Lillie quickly reacting and positioning the tank for the others to fire a tank shell towards the Artillery guns, destroying the one in the middle with the ensuing explosion destroying the other two Artillery guns.
Mia: "Great job lads, let's find the rest!"
Thankfully for the remaining tank crew, the next set of Artillery guns were nearby, resulting in Line firing another tank shell from Big Bess, blowing up the next two Artillery Guns.
Mia: "That's two! Keep at them, lads!"
Multiple German soldiers attempted to open fire on Big Bess in a desperate attempt to protect their artillery guns, but Bete and Line were both easily able to kill them as Lillie positions for the others to take shots at the next set of Artillery Guns, which were nearby the previous set, and destroyed those as well.
Mia: "That was the last one! Village is ours!"
No one cheered, but there was a feeling of achievement, with the gods smiling.
The village actually wasn't theirs yet, because out of the destruction of the Artillery Guns came a German Light Tank, that was opening fire on Big Bess and quickly managed to deal some damage on Big Bess.
"Great, another one" Bete said disgusted. everyone else was surprised at the site.
"What kind of tank is that?"
"The Renault F 17. The French tank. Known back then as a light tank. It was among the most revolutionary and influential tank designs in history. The FT was the first production tank to have its armament within a fully rotating turret." EVAH said.
"Hopefully it'll be easier to destroy.
Bete managed to fire a tank shell from where he was and managed to get a good hit on the light tank, already causing it to smoke, as Bete fired a second one soon after and finished the tank off.
Bete: Hoho! They are toast!"
"Oh yes they are" Bete said with a smirk, glad to see something good happen, and taking a genuine interest now.
Big Bess then started their drive towards the next objective for them to capture, with British Infantry not far behind. But as they drove towards the objective, multiple tanks, both British and German, were seen destroyed and on fire while Field guns were heard opening fire on Big Bess.
Mia: "Hurry with that field gun!"
Lillie quickly positioned to get fire on one of the field guns near the farm they were going to capture, and destroyed it while other field guns focused on other tanks that were trying to move up, before driving Big Bess over the German trenches. The Emma Gee' were used to sweep the German soldiers in front of them while Bete did the same and Line opened fire on a Field gun that was attempting to return fire on Big Bess, before getting blown up.
As Lillie drove Big Bess into the farm area, multiple German soldiers were seen running to try and get cover inside a house, but both Line and Bete opened fire on them with the Emma Gee's and managed to kill a majority of them, but a few of them managed to get inside.
This would have worked had Line not fired a tank shell towards the foundation of the house and sent it crumbling down, presumably killing those Germans. But more were seen rushing to the tank in an attempt to defend the position.
Mia: "Give em hell lads! We're taking this position!"
"Oh you guys are giving them hell alright" Hermes and Allen both said.
Lillie plus the rest of the tank crew opened fire on the incoming Germans as British infantry were seen finally arriving on the scene and opening fire on the charging Germans, mowing them down.
More Germans were then seen rushing Big Bess and the British from behind, resulting in Lillie driving Big Bess backwards and running over a German before turning it around and firing a tank shell in between a group of Germans, sending limbs flying everywhere.
"Oh boy." Bell said as he tried not to throw up, with some of the others doing the same.
Mia: "Keep pushing on lads! We've soon taken this spot!"
The Germans decided to throw in one last wave of German infantry, with support from a field gun at a distance, and charged towards the farm, with some of the Germans actually taking down some of the British Infantry, but the power of Big Bess was too much for them as the crew of Big Bess quickly mowed down the German wave while Bete fired a tank shell at the field gun, taking it down and preventing it from doing that much damage to the British Offensive.
Once they were clear, British soldiers were seen yet again pulling down the German flag and replacing it with the British flag.
Mia: "Artillery ahead! Now we cut them all down!"
Whistling was heard as Big Bess led the charge towards the next set of Artillery with British Infantry charging with them. Multiple field guns were seen opening fire on Big Bess and another ally tank, but they were able to quickly take them down as a smoking airplane crash landed into a nearby field gun crew, killing them all in a probably brutal way.
"HOLY!" Take, Miach, most of the Loki and all of Hestia Familia, shouted in shock at the sudden wreck.
"What just happened?!" Lillie exclaimed in shock.
"An airplane just had a brutal wreck" EVAH said "A what?!" They asked
"You'll understand soon."
"Well then, I guess that is good for them?" Naza unsurely said
"I guess so" Mia, Lillie and Line all slowly said.
As Big Bess continued the charge towards the Artillery, the defending German infantry were seen throwing Grenades at Big Bess, doing some damage to Big Bess.
Bete: "Damn grenades!"
Mia: "Loga! Deal with those damn infantry!"
Bete wordlessly acknowledged Mia's order as he was seen opening fire on the German infantry, with some help from fellow British Infantry they started to kill them, also causing a few of them to drop their grenades and accidentally blow them up, taking along some of their allies as well.
"Those grenades are much more powerful then I'd have thought" Otarl observed.
"I would not want to face those." Asfi said, getting nods of agreement from the others. Hermes just started to mentally sweating as he had considered asked her to make something like those.
"I believe those are Anti-Tank grenades, naturally the name says it all. They do much more damage and naturally are far more explosive than the standard grenades" EVAH replied.
Lillie then had to drive Big Bess through a large group of German infantry that were held up in some small makeshift bases, but Lillie was easily able to drive through these mini bases and destroyed those Germans with the help of their fellow Mark V tank ally and British infantry. Unfortunately for them, the nearby German Artillery were heard opening fire, with a majority of those bombings landing on the other Mark V tank, destroying it.
Lillie: Bloody Artillery just took down our friendly!"
"Shit!" Came the response of Mia and Bete.
Mia: "Keep your eyes on the objective driver!"
Lillie followed orders as she drove Big Bess past the remains of the friendly Mark V tank, as Mia spotted a bridge that would allow them to get to the next set of Artillery guns.
Mia: "Arde, take us over! Clear the bridge of any German defenses!"
The German defenses on the bridge mainly had multiple German soldiers on LMG's and Machine guns, with two Field Gun crews at the end of the bridge.
"You'd think that for a bridge that leads right to Artillery guns they'd put a much better defense than a few field guns and machine guns" Loki stated.
"I know what you really mean, but they actually didn't even consider that the Brits and her allies would have breached this far. In fact, it's the exact same on the British side." EVAH explained.
Line and Bete both focused on the Field guns while Lillie drove through the bridge, destroying all of the German infantry that tried to open fire on Big Bess while Bete and Line both did their part and destroyed the Field guns. after dealing with all of the Germans and finishing off those Field guns, they could finally advance across the bridge. Unfortunately for them, they were forced to go through a large puddle of mudas soon as they crossed.
Mia: "More damn Mud!"
"We can't really go around it" Line said as she could only watch as Big Bess struggled.
"This might be an issue" Lillie also shared.
Mia: "Throttle up, push through! Lillie did so and pushed Big Bess to go as fast as it could, but it was clearly struggling to get through the mud.
Big Bess then managed to get through the first puddle, only to enter into a deeper, second puddle of mud.
This caused Line, Lillie , Bete and Mia to all groan at the second mud puddle that looked even deeper than before.
"That's pretty unlucky" Haruhime said.
"Definitely" Mikoto said in agreement as Chigusa was clutching her side in fear and suspense.
As if that was not bad, the Germans were heard yelling as Germans then came out of nowhere from both the right, left and rear sides of Big Bess, with some of those Germans climbing on top of Big Bess.
"WHAT?!" Half the viewers shouted in shock; all mortals
"Looks like the Germans were using the mud puddles to lure them in" Hephaestus observed.
"FANTASTIC!" Mia, Lillie and Line all yelled in anger; Bete said nothing but he was bearing his fangs out in frustration.
The screen then cut to the inside of Big Bess, where Lillie was pushing the levers/throttle forwards, but the tank was stuck.
Lillie: "No traction sir, I can't move her!"
Mia quickly moved to the other side of the tank while Bete angrily tried to work on something in the tank.
Bete: "Come on! COME ON MAN!"
Line was seen opening fire on the German's trying to break in with a pistol before taking cover.
Mia: "Line!"
Line: "Ma'am!"
Mia: "Pigeon!"
"I completely forgot that existed" Line said in shock during all the fighting.
Two Germans were seen trying to use the butts of their riffles to break into the tank as another was seen climbing on top again, while Mia quickly handed something to Line while Lillie looked around for a gun.
Bete: "Are you out of your mind?! You're gonna get us all killed!"
"What does that mean?!" Bete yelled to his on screen self.
Line quickly took out the Pigeon only for Bete to look at Lillie, where he spotted a German pointing a pistol near Lillie's head.
"Lillie!!" Her Familia all shouted in horror.
Bete: "ARDE BEHIND YOU!!!"
The pistol then opened fire right next to Lillie's ear, causing her to cover it in pain as she fell to the floor in shock and Bete took cover to avoid the bullet.
Line looked up in shock, only for a bullet to strike her in the skull, killing him instantly and dropping the pigeon.
"Line!" Lefiya screamed. Loki, Finn, Gareth and Riveria could only turn away at the site, fists balling in hurt and anger. Ais did the same but she did her best to keep a calm face on the viewing. The Hiruyte sisters were absolutely gnashing their teeth in rage.
The pigeon was seen flapping it's wings before softly landing on the ground while Mia was forced to take cover from the onslaught of incoming bullets.
Mia: (Muffled) "Arde!"
Lillie was seen gripping her ear in pain as Mia and Bete were both heard yelling, with their sounds muffled.
Mia: "Arde! Grab the pigeon!"
Bete: "Don't do it!"
Mia: "Grab that pigeon!"
Bete: "it's suicide, you're gonna blow us all to bits!"
Mia: "It's the only chance we got Loga!"
The pigeon was seen to have landed on Line's leg as she laid there dead, while Lillie looked at it as Mia was heard yelling.
Mia: "Arde! Grab! The Pigeon!"
Lillie was seen crawling towards the pigeon as Bete was heard yelling to Lillie.
Bete: "Don't do it! Don't listen to that Woman!"
"Man what with you!?" Tione screamed at Bete.
"Hey! Wrong one crazy woman!" Bete yelled back, equally unsure of why the war him was so adamant on not wanting that Pigeon released.
However EVAH came to his rescue as she explained.
"Mia wrote their location on a pice of paper and tied it to the pigeon. Sending that pigeon back to command would tell their own men too send an Artillery strike at their current location. Likely killing them."
"WHAT?!" nearly everyone shouted in horror even the gods.
"You're joking!" Misha said in disbelief. Chigusa, Haruhime, Anya and Eina nodding in agreement.
"I don't know what's worse. Dying to the enemy or dying to your own." Take said as Freya joined, voicing strong agreement with her fellow war god.
"Well you see. The Germans are trying to capture Big Bess. It was more feasible for the German Army to capture British tanks, then it was creating their own counterpart. The big A7V you saw earlier which were more fragile and more expensive. In fact during the summer of the same year, 1918 more then 300 abandoned and damaged British tanks were salvaged as taken in behind German lines to be refurbished and sent to fight with German crews."
"Holy shit!" Loki could only say. Others numbly nodding their heads in agreement at the information.
"I know it said the Mark V was unreliable, but dam." Tsubakisaid in stone shock.
"Well too be fair, it's impossible to know how many were abandoned due to their own mechanical failure, and how many were done in due to the Enemy." EVAH said.
Multiple Germans were seen attempting to break into the tank from the top, using the butts of their guns and shovels too.
Bete: "Release that pigeon now and you'll kill us all"
Mia: "That's an order lass!"
Lillie was seen picking up the pigeon before staring at it, fear in her eyes as she was forced to chose between releasing the pigeon or not releasing it.
Mia's voice was suddenly heard no longer muffled as she yelled at her.
Mia: "ARDE!!"
Lillie looked up at her commanding officer.
Mia: Release the pigeon! That is an order lass, do you understand me?!"
Lillie quickly nodded as she stood up and ran to the slot where the pigeon would be released from and quickly released the pigeon, where it was seen flying away from the tank while the Germans tried to breakthrough.
"Looks like we're gonna be joining the rest of you" Bete sighed, refering to Tsubaki, Raul, Line and Anakitty
"I-I guess so" Anakitty said as she tried not to start crying.
The screen then cut to the 3rd person POV of the Pigeon as it flew away from Big Bess, while Flight of the Pigeon was heard playing. Just hearing this caused the audience to all at least tear up. with Eina, Lefiya, Loki, Chigusa, Haruhime and Line all joining in on the girls sobbing club.
"T-there's something beautiful about it though." As everyone could see for truly the first time, an Ariel view of what the war looked like, and it was humbling.
The pigeon continued it's flight over the battlefield that Big Bess had left behind while nearby, an airplane was seen crash landing into a building. Multiple explosions were seen underneath the pigeon as it got closer and closer to British command Eventually, the pigeon finally reached command, where a British soldier looked up and saw it.
British Soldier1: "Message coming in!"
One of the soldiers were seen running to the pigeon as it landed before cutting to another soldier yelling.
British Soldier 2: "ORDERS!"
The first British Soldier was seen saluting another one.
British Soldier 3: "Sir! New fire mission!"
He quickly handed the message to the soldier
British Soldier 4: "It's Grand, sir!"
He quickly opened the message to read it.
Message: FIRE MISSION, URGENT! OVERRUN! GRID 317241 ELE60
British soldier 4 then ran to another soldier responsible for the Artillery and handed it over.
British Soldier 4: "Sir!"
The 5th British soldier scanned through it quickly before looking at the Artillery Gun crew loading up the Artillery.
British Soldier 5: "GRID 3 6 4 2!"
The Artillery Gun Crew were all heard yelling as they loaded the Artillery gun and quickly aiming it to where the Big Bess crew were.
British Soldier 5: "FIRE!!"
The Gun crew all pulled the wire/rope that fired the Artillery Shells into the air and towards the Big Bess crew. The screen then cut to the Germans still trying to break in, with a German Storm Trooper on watch.
"Welp, I guess we at least get to you all in the afterlife" Mia said, trying to cheer things up, but obviously failing.
Bete: "Here it comes Lasses."
Lillie and Mia were both seen on the ground as Bete was seen doing the sign of the cross while glaring at Lillie and Mia.
Bete: Nice serving with you lads.
"Asshole" Tiona muttered under her breath but he heard it anyway yet chose not to say anything.
"Well, it was great to fight with you guys while it lasted"Lillie said.
The same German Storm Trooper looked up just to see the incoming Artillery Shells heading right for them. The German was heard screaming in German.
German soldier: VORSICHT JERKS! ARTILLERIE!!!!
As he ran, with his fellow Germans tried to escape the blast radius as well.
"Well hey, maybe you'll take some with you" Dionysius said.
"Hopefully"
The screen then cut to Mia as she closed her eyes, accepting her death as she waited for the end of the trio and Big Bess, while the screen cut to black and the explosion from the Artillery shell was heard.
But before anyone had a chance to morn their deaths
The screen then turned back on to see a dead German corpse who layed on top of something.
Suddenly, a hatch underneath it started to open, shaking the German's corpse. The person underneath the hatch went to open it a second time, knocking the dead body off and keeping the hatch door open, revealing it to be Bete, who was looking outside in disbelief.
"WHAT?!" literally everyone even Ouranus shouted in pure shock or disbelief or a mix of both.
"WE/THEY SURVIVED?!"
"Somehow yes. And no, I don't know how, it could have been airburst shells but that wouldn't explain the craters." EVAH replied, although they were easily able to tell that she was shocked as well.
The camera zoomed out, showing the aftermath of the artillery strike, also showing that, against all odds, Big Bess was not that damaged and looked fine.
"And Big Bess looks alright for the most part" Hephaestus said in shock.
"... Our luck is incredible" Mia slowly said in disbelief.
Bete was seen closing the hatch door, with the screen cutting to Mia and Lillie both in the tank, with Lillie looking extremely relieved at still being alive, while Mia held both shock but also sadness.
Mia then looked down at her hand, which she saw some blood on, while Bete walked up behind him, glaring at her.
Bete: "You have the luck of the Devil, Grande."
"There's really no better way of explaining it." Hermes said.
"It's honestly ridiculous"Ouranus and Riveria both added.
The screen cut to Line's dead corpse, as Mia removed her hand from Line's face.
Lefiya and Anakitty both let loose a few silent tears while Finn, Riveria and Loki all sighed in sadness after seeing Line's dead corpse, which also reminded them and everyone else earlier on.
Mia: "Is that right?"
Bete's glare on Mia worsened.
Bete: "All we've got out here is blind orders- and chance."
Mia's eyes were seen twitching in anger while Lillie looked nervously at the two, not knowing how this little confrontation would go.
"Oh boy" the Staff shook in fear.
Bete: (Sarcastically) "Which'll do first for us, do you recken?"
Mia quickly stood up and turned and glared at Bete
Mia: "I'm sick of your lip, Loga."
The two glared at each other, until Bete started to turn away and presumably walk back to his post, but not before sending her one last glare.
Bete: (Sarcastically and/or venomously) "Aye aye, Ma'am."
"Great, we've got two people dead, and two more people who hate each other" Rose angrily said at seeing the breakdown.
"Fun" Mia and Lillie both sarcastically said.
Mia kept her glare on Bete before looking at Lillie, with her face softening to a frown.
Mia: "Arde, start her up."
Lillie : (With a cough) "Ma'am."
Lillie went over to the large crank shaft that Tsubaki originally operated, and like Tsubaki did before, she pulled it towards her before pushing it back forwards. The engine started to go for a brief second only to stop, with Lillie shaking her head in annoyance and defeat.
"And now the engine isn't working. Even better" Mia groaned.
"Of course everything just had to go wrong right off the bat" Welf said in a bit of anger.
Mia and Bete both looked up at the Fuel line, where they noticed a pretty bad leak.
"What's that?"
"And there's the reliability issues. It's a fuel leak, as long as that goes on, the tank won't start." EVAH said
"Or maybe it's damage from the Artillery strike" She added one last thing.
Mia: "Fuel Line's backing up!"
Mia tried to cover the fuel line with her hand as Bete went to get a cloth to help cover it up, but Mia then had to quickly remove her hand from the leak via pain.
Bete: "Oh Big Bess, give us a break! *Cough* Give us a break!"
Bete desperately tried to cover the leak as he pleaded with Big Bess, while Lillie watched on in the background, not knowing what to do.
Bete: (In distress) "Come on! Ah, come on Bess, come on. Stop, stop Big Bess, stop, stop!"
"I've never heard that tone from Bete ever in my life." Loki said as the other Loki familia could only silently agree. If the situation wasn'tso direthey'd of cracked jokes and definitely remember this moment... of course that last bit was guaranteed, but not in the way they'd have wanted it.
Suddenly, Big Bess actually stopped leaking, with Bete losing his breath for a moment in shock.
Bete: "It stopped."
"I can't believe that actually worked." Bete said surprised.
Bete took a few breaths before turning and glaring at Lillie, who nervously looked at the crank shaft, not knowing what to do.
Bete: "Are you just gonna stand there?!"
"Can you not be an asshole?" Tiona angrily asked.
"It's Bete, when is he not?" Tione replied.
And once again, EVAH came to his defense
"Considering the fact that Bete here has been in the war for a good while, can't blame him" EVAH said.
"Nice" Bete sarcastically said.
Lillie, surprisingly, glared back at Bete, before silently grabbing the handle of the crank shaft and doing the same thing as she did previously, with this time the tank not having any issues and operating fine.
"It's finally working" Hestia said in relief
"Yeah, but Lillie was genuinely pissed though. That's rare" Welf added
"Can't blame other me." Lillie deadpanned with a frown,
The screen then shifted to outside of the ditch Big Bess was in, where Lillie was seen driving Big Bess out of the ditch and back onto the normal dirt road before driving off into the foggy forest.
