Daniel walks down the path until he sees the Mountains of his village borders. Many people avoid those mountains because of a creature that lives there. However, he was not going there to fight the creature. But something was telling him to go there anyway. He had no idea why. He follows up the path and saw that trip was peaceful.
"Hmm, why do I get the feeling I'm being watch?" He asked himself.
Daniel walks up the path, not seeing someone looking down at him.
"Who is that?" She asked herself.
Daniel walks down the path some more before hearing a few growls. He turns and saw some wolves jumping out, ready to fight. However, he didn't go for his sword. He knew Samantha would kill him if he attacks some wolves. However, that didn't mean he couldn't defend himself. A wolf jumps at him, but Daniel quickly moves towards the side, seeing another jump at him. He grabs his scabbard and places it in front of him. The wolf knocks him down and bites down on the scabbard. Daniel quickly kicks the wolf off him and swings the scabbard to knock the third wolf away.
High above, a girl watches as he fought off the three wolves. She was amazed at his skills and how he stays on his toes. Her blue eyes watch as he dances around the wolves.
"He's different." She said, seeing him knock another wolf away.
She then notices a fourth wolf sneaking on a ledge behind him. She saw it get ready to pounce on him and acted.
"Behind you!"
Daniel heard the voice and spotted the wolf. The wolf jumps, and he quickly swings his scabbard, catching the wolf in the mid-section. The wolf rolls on the ground as Daniel stood ready. The fourth wolf stood up and howls. The wolves soon retreat and Daniel put the scabbard back on his back.
"Hey, are you okay?"
He turns and saw a girl peeking out from the rocks.
"I'm fine." He said.
"I saw the wolf and had to warn you." She said.
"It's fine, thank you," Daniel said.
He notices the girl, blushing and sinking back behind the rock.
"Hey, why do you come out?" Daniel asked.
She did and Daniel was surprised. She was way, way, bigger than him. She had brown hair that was tie into a ponytail. She also had blue eyes just like him. She had long brown boots on and was wearing black shorts. She was also wearing an orange shirt that shows her breasts.
"You're a giant." He said.
She looks down and Daniel shook his head.
"Sorry, first time meeting a giant." He said.
"Really?" The girl asked.
"Oh, right. My name is Daniel. Daniel Fenton." He said.
"Mia. Mia Giunta." She said, lowering a finger.
Daniel shook it and notices her breasts were close to spilling out. Mia notices and blushes.
"Darn this shirt!" She said, pulling it back up.
"Does that happen often?" He asked.
"Too often. It was used by a female giant that fought in the Demon war 100 years ago." Mia said.
"Wait the Demon War? My ancestor fought in that war." Daniel said.
"He did?" Mia asked.
"Yeah, I'm named after him. His name was also Daniel Fenton, but everyone calls him Dan." Daniel said.
Mia was shocked to hear that. She was born near the end of that war, and she recalls seeing that knight. He was handsome and very nice. He never treated any of the giants like monsters. Seeing that this boy was related to that knight, she couldn't help but be a bit bashful.
"Are you okay?" Daniel asked.
"I'm fine." She said, shyly.
Daniel raises an eyebrow but decides to take her word for it.
"Hey, people have been talking about a creature that lives up here. Have you see it?" He asked.
"No. I have been living in these mountains for five years," Mia said.
"Five years? That's when the stories started. They must have mistaken you as the Mountian Monster." Daniel said.
Mia looks away and Daniel could see the hurt look on her face.
"Hey, I'm surprised to find you here. I know few things about giants, but I never saw them as monsters." He said.
"You don't?" Mia asked.
"No, a true knight knows not to make an enemy out of a giant. Besides, I have no reason to pick a fight with a giant." He said.
Mia blushes and looks away. He was just as kind as his ancestor.
"Thank you, Danny." She said.
"Danny?" Daniel asked.
"Um, we giant like to use nicknames for others. Your ancestor went by the name Dan because we gave it to him." Mia said.
"Huh, I didn't know that," Daniel said, thinking over the name she gave him.
"Danny, that sounds right." He said.
"By the way, what are you doing here?" Mia asked.
"Well, I'm off to see the world and I have to climb over this mountain. However, something was telling me to look for something in the mountain." He said.
"Ready? I kept getting a feeling that someone was looking for me." Mia said.
Daniel started to think about that and spotted something on her right breast.
"Hey, Mia, what's that mark?" He asked.
"Mark?" Mia asked.
"On your right breast." He said.
Mia blush and looks away.
"It's a birthmark." She said.
"In the shape of the letter P?" Daniel asked.
"How did you know?" Mia asked, shocked.
"Because I have the same mark." He said, holding up his hand.
Mia leads down and looks at it. She was shocked to see the same letter.
"But I was told I was the only one to have it." She said, surprised.
"Same here." He said.
"Hold it!"
The two turns and saw some weird men wearing some scuffs over their heads.
"Hand over your Gil and weapons." One said.
"Great, these guys again." Mia groans.
"You know them?" Daniel asked.
"They've been trying to steal from me for four years. They forget that I don't carry Gil, and they can't even use Earth Staker." Mia said.
"Earth Staker?" Daniel asked.
"My hammer," Mia said.
"Hey! We said to hand over your Gil and weapons!" The Leader said.
"Hey! You heard what Mia said. As for me, forget it. I had this sword since my training days. Plus, I don't have much Gil on me." Daniel said.
"Don't care." The Leader said, drawing his dagger.
"Well, the first thing I was taught about was thieves. They sometimes hunt in small groups. Only when the target is much more of trouble is when they are bigger." Daniel said, drawing his short sword.
"And I'm not going to let thieves like you hurt anyone." He added.
"Kill him!" The Leader shouted.
One thief tries to stab Daniel, but he blocks it with his sword. He threw a punch that knocks the thief back. Another tries to stab him from behind, but Daniel steps out of the way and trips him. A third thief rushes at him and swings his dagger. Daniel ducks under it before throwing an uppercut. The thief was knocked out, and the other two started to rush had him. Daniel blocks the blades with his sword and pushes them back. They try to rush at him again, but Daniel threw a spin kick knocking the other two out.
"Idiots." He said, drawing his short sword.
"Not bad, kid. But your luck has run out." He added.
He swings his blade which Daniel blocks. The two clash their blades together as Mia watches.
'Wow, Danny is amazing.' She thought, blushing.
The Leader then smirks. When he swings his sword again, he pulls out his dagger and slashes Daniel's chest. Daniel took a few steps back and checks his chest. Lucky, it wasn't serious. However, the Leader rushes at him. Daniel blocks the sword again but was slash in the arm by the dagger.
"Damn it." He whispers.
"Too bad, kid." The Leader said, kicking him to the ground.
Daniel felt his arm get stepped on and saw the Leader getting ready to stab him.
"You're no knight, kid. You're over your head." He said.
The Leader was suddenly slapped away from him and hits a boulder. Daniel looks up and saw Mia kneeling with her hand off to the side.
"Stay away from Captain Danny!" She shouted.
The Leader pulls himself out and groans. Mia grabs her hammer and spins it around. She then holds it over her head and swings it down.
"EARTHQUAKE!"
Soon all the thieves were sent flying from the mountain. Mia spins her hammer once more and places it on her shoulder before giving a cute wink. Daniel sat up and put his sword back in its scabbard. Mia turns around and knees down again.
"Are you okay?" She asked, worried.
"Yeah. I got some healing supplies. I can wrap these up." He said.
"Can I help you?" Mia asked.
"Err, it's fine. I got it." Daniel said, a little unsure.
Later...
After wrapping up the cuts, Daniel turns back to Mia, who was staring at him with a dreamy look.
"Hey, Mia. Would you like to tag along?" Daniel asked.
"You mean it?" She asked, shocked.
"Yeah. I mean, living in these mountains has got to be boring for you. Plus, those guys are going to keep coming back." He brought up.
"I would love to travel with you, Captian Danny!" She said, jumping for joy.
"Mia! Easy!" Daniel said, trying to stay on his feet.
"Sorry. I got a bit excited." She said, blushing.
"It's okay. And just call me Danny." Daniel said.
"So, where too?" Mia asked.
"Hmm, where the nearest town?" Danny asked.
"That way. About a few hours walk for me." Mia said.
"Hmm. Would you mind carrying me? I do need to make sure these bandages stay on." He asked.
"Not at all, Captain!" Mia said, happily.
Danny smiles and saw her lower her hand. He climbs into her hand and was brought to her shoulder. He sat on it and looks at her.
"Let's go, Mia," Danny said.
"Okay!" Mia cheers and started to walk down the mountain.
Alright, Danny has met Mia and is now going by his nickname. Remember, Mia is 123 years old in giant years. Though, she 14 in human years. Instead of meeting Jake in the next chapter, I might do something different. What that is, I don't know yet. Remember, this isn't a harem story, but Mia is not the only girl that will fall in love with Danny.
