Izuku's POV

Month 1- I asked Mom to schedule regular therapy sessions. It's time I started getting back into the right mindset. Training with All Might is absolutely brutal, too. All Might gave me a plan on how to live for the next 10 months. He planned out everything from food intake to amount of free time. Most of the time, All Might couldn't show up to workouts because of hero work. So, that's when I work extra hard. I tried replicating the move from the sludge attack, which I have now named the photon slicer. I've had no luck doing that move again. That power still seems so foreign. I can't pin point how it works.

Month 2- I've started to feel better, physically and emotionally. Therapy has been working, slowly. I've started to appreciate the things that I have and what lies ahead. For the first time in a long time, I'm excited for what the future may hold. Also, my body has been starting to change, not in the 'birds and the bees' kind. My stamina has made a significant change, as well as my height. My body has really started hitting a growth spurt. That with the weight training has been showing promising results.

Month 3- My therapist has been talking to me about some sort of group meetings. She thinks it'll help with my social anxiety and my shyness. I think it'll help but I'm scared. I'm scared of meeting people. I'm scared of messing up. What if I say something that causes something bad to happen. My therapist reminded me to take baby steps. On the flip side, when working out I threw out baby steps and started pushing myself to my limit. If I want to be the greatest hero, I first need to get into UA. And to get into UA, I need to push myself beyond, Plus Ultra. The other people have had their quirks for over a decade, but I will have had mine maybe a week or a month.

Month 4-I've decided to go to group therapy. Everyone seems nice enough. We all have our problems but they seem to draw us closer. It seems because of our problems, we draw closer together. I've started to see change in my demeanor and social skills. The path is laid out before me, all I need to do is walk it until I reach the end. It seems my physical training will help me get their too. My body has started to bulk up. No longer am I skin and bones, but I see plenty of muscle. Along with that I've seen my height jump again. I am now at 5'10. All Might always talks about how I'm sprouting like a plant. He says it fits with my green hair. Sometimes I swear he treats me like his own kid. It's kind of nice to have a male figure in my life. It's always been just me and Mom. It's refreshing to have All Might looking out for me.

Month 5- During my early morning run, I stopped at a small convenience store. While shifting through the drinks in the back, I felt a sudden change. It was hard to define it, but my best guess was tension. It seemed like the whole room was on alert. I turned around to locate the disturbance and saw a man waving his arms erratically at the cashier. The mans arms seemed to change from flesh to sharp metal swords. While pointing the swords toward the cashier, he extended a sports bag and started rambling "The money...bag...now...need...it...play dumb." I had seen my fair share of petty crime taken care of by more common heroes and I've been through a lot worse. This didn't scare me, what did was the erratic way he was moving and shouting. It put me on edge, he seemed to be willing to do anything. This is my chance to show myself how far I've come. "Hey, can I get some help back here." I watched as the man swung around and spotted me. While steadying my breathing, the man began to run at me. He pointed his sword arms at me while screaming about me being a stupid kid. In the corner of my eye, I spotted a middle aged woman on the phone with, who I presume is, the police. Midoriya use my power. The voice spoke again so I did the only thing I could think of, try to copy what I did before. I put my hands down at the opposite hips and felt a ball of energy. It was situated right in the middle of my head. The pulsing power called to me and I grasped it and dragged it down to the ends of my hands. Finally I launched my hands forward shooting the Photon Slicers at his blade arms. In a cloud of smoke, the blades fell to the ground.

Immediately after, I felt the power dissipate and charged into the center of the smoke, to attack. With my arms up and in an "X", protecting my head. I rammed the man in the chest and flattened him onto his back. To finish the job, I landed a solid punch square in his face. Once the steam started clearing, I noticed that I felt physically drained. That one attack made me feel really sleepy. Through the smoke I spotted a figure. What shocked me the most, was the outline of long ears. Finally the steam dissipated and on the other side, in casual clothes, was the Rabbit Hero: Miruko holding a pint of carrot ice cream. She looked mildly impressed which caused me to blush and look away. I've worked on my stutter and social anxiety over these 5 months, but no matter how much work I do, if a pretty girl looked impressed at me I'll blush. She started walking towards me slowly, eyeing me. Her size was very surprising, she was very short. I towered over her, but I was the one shying away. Finally I managed the courage to reach into my shorts waistband and pull out my hero analysis notebook. I bowed and outstretched the notebook "Hi Ms. Miruko. I'm a huge fan and I was wondering if I could get your autograph." Glancing up I noticed a slight grin on her face. She thrusted the ice cream into my hands "Hold this, Kid." The pages flipped by agonizingly slow. She seemed impressed at the amount of data I had written for each hero. Eventually, she got to the 3 pages dedicated to her. She read through all the notes and seemed intrigued. After she read through the pages, she signed the back of the last page. "So kid, you gonna be a hero." I nodded quickly "With a brain like this, you should be able to get in easy. UA right?" I rapidly nodded again. "Nice. Once you get in, look for me. I'm going to help around campus for a few things. I could use your insight. Lastly, try not to illegally use your quirk in public. I don't wanna have to arrest an up-and-coming hero." As she took her leave, she replaced the ice cream in my hands with my signed notebook. Abruptly, my legs gave out and I sat with my back against the wall trying to cool my face. She called me hero. She really believes I can be a hero. And she said 'once' not 'if' I get into UA. Miruko, I will see you again. Count on that.

Month 6- My powers have made a huge leap. After the convenience store incident, I've located that ball of power in my head. After doing so, I've been able to replicate my Photon Slice, but it drained my energy a lot. After some trial and error, I discovered that three shots and I need a nap, four and I pass out. A couple times, I passed out and woke up with sand in unimaginable places. I dubbed this power, my titan abilities because of the visions I've had of giant beings made of golden light.

Month 7- My dreams have been really vivid and crazy lately. I've had dreams of giants fighting huge monsters. I thought Mt. Lady was huge until I had these dreams. They feel so vivid but the perspective is always the same, it's like I'm floating to the side. I watch in awe from the sidelines, while these giant guys beat up scary looking monsters. If that golden figure was telling the truth, will I have to fight those monsters too. I wonder if that means I can turn into a giant.

Month 8- The dreams have started narrowing down to a group of three giants in specific. Most of the dreams had the three giants fighting other giants, but they were shrouded in darkness. Somehow I could tell, those giants of darkness would eventually be a threat to Earth. I would have to face them in the future. Aside from the dreams, Ive began to refine my body. I've started to define my muscle instead of bulking up. Now I stand at a comfortable 6 foot and have filled out my frame.

Month 9- The beach is almost finished. It looks mostly clear except for one area and some scattered trash. Ive gotten a flood of embarrassing compliments from All Might. All Might promised to get me into UA to start some specialized training for the final month. Little did All Might know that I have been studying different fighting techniques and that I have a secondary power. On top of all that, I've gained a reliable recollection of some dreams. The one thing in common for these dreams is a giant called Tiga. I made a special page in my personal quirk analysis book about the giant. I started copying down his attacks and fighting style. On top of that, I've started sketching Tiga's moves and started training my muscle memory. If those alien threats he talked about are coming, then I need to be able to fight in Tiga form.

Final Month 10 - The entrance exam for UA is at the end of the month and I am really excited. With my confidence rising, and me finally deciding to change who I am. I got a haircut to finally emphasize my change. I'm now a different person, not the scared quirkless boy who took bullying to feel like he fit in. No, I'm a confident fighter, who never back down from a challenge. All Might took me onto campus to work combat training. It was awesome, wandering around the campus meeting cool pros and some interesting students. The downside being the amount of unwanted attention. Sometimes I would spot a group of girls whispering amongst themselves and pointing at me. Some guys came up to introduce themselves. Once I told them that I was turning 18, they looked startled and excused themselves. I guess they thought I was some important hero or something. When we got to training, I received my requested workout uniform. It was a form fitting green and black shirt. The shirt compressed down to hug the outlines of my muscles and the pants to hug my thighs. I had opted to use a pair of gloves in practice.

My training started with me fighting the underground hero, Eraserhead. Honestly, I had blast sparring and training with him. On rare occasions I could see a small grin on his face. After training with Aizawa, I would talk to the staff about their experiences and quirks. Sadly, the most interested hero was Midnight. She agreed to give me any information I wanted, if I allowed her to feel my muscles in return. Obviously I agreed, because who wouldn't. Gaining valuable experience from a pro hero and, on the plus side, a beautiful woman gets to feel me up. It's just simple biology that I would enjoy it. Another surprise was meeting Miruko. I met her a couple more times. We mostly just talked about quirks and complained about how hard life was. I was happy to listen to her ramble about how the paperwork was making her even shorter. Before I knew it, the entrance exam was tomorrow. All Might had invited me and Mom out to dinner to celebrate the completion of my training. Ironically, I felt like a third wheel to my Mom and All Might. They ceaselessly laughed at each other's lame jokes. Uhhh. Why must you two be so obvious? Either get together or don't. After dinner, All Might dropped us back at our home. Right before he left, he gave me a small plastic container. I took it up into my room and opened it. Inside was a letter and a strand of hair.

Izuku Midoriya,

My boy you have come a long way form the quirkless fanboy hanging onto my pant leg. You've grown in to a respectable hero in training and successor. You went through hell to reach this point. Congratulations, your reward is the other item with this letter. That strand of hair is your ticket to the future #1 hero. Sadly, you must eat it. To obtain my great power, you must swallow some of my DNA. It should take effect by the entrance exam tomorrow.

Take care of your body and make me proud.
