Sakai, Rousseau, and Enedan had to stop their breakfast time to join Carter, Rossberg, and Matthews in the control room adjacent to the one from where the stargate was monitored. The group was standing around a high table that was equipped with digital keyboards and screens. Akira was operating one of the keyboards and had displayed on a big screen the surveillance camera footage.
The group could see, from the camera angle chosen, the three visitors locked up in a row of five cells, one visitor in each of the three first cells from the right of the screen. The room was guarded by at least one person, a senior airman with a gun on his waist, visible next to the entrance of the jail area. The so-called Rossberg was in the cell in front of the entrance; the so-called McKay, in the cell next to Rossberg's; and the so-called Jackson, in the third.
Another person arrived at the table. A woman, not a stranger to the Stargate Program as she had been working for it for years as a doctor, starting her journey in Atlantis, in Pegasus galaxy. Today, Jennifer Keller was in the Black Stone base.
"Doctor Exley's running the blood tests, he'll tell us when he's finished." Jennifer told the group.
Matthews thanked the doctor and asked, perplex, looking at his people, "Is it possible they are who they claim to be? As far as I know, Rossberg is standing right here, Jordan McKay and Savannah Jackson are still teenagers. Or did I miss an episode? Doctor Keller?"
"It's true that seeing a thirty year old man saying he's your son is quite unusual, but after all these years dealing with the stargate, I'm not surprised anymore. I must admit this man looks like Jordan... Or Jordan looks like this man..."
Sakai took over, "I think they traveled back in time, like the Rossberg to be confirmed said. They provided so many accurate details about past events that happened in our reality. There must have been a solar flare happening at the moment that they were traveling between a planet and obviously, this one. It happened before. SG1 was sent back in 1969 and General Sheppard, when he was lieutenant colonel, was sent in the future. We made a trip in the past, too."
Sakai's team nodded. Matthews stayed still.
Lieutenant Rossberg added, "Not to mention the trip we made in both the future and an alternate reality."
Sakai nodded. Matthews raised his eyebrows, accepting the situation. The man didn't have the same experience in facing odd situations as his coworkers because he was a more recent addition to the Stargate Program.
Rousseau queried, "Mr. Matthews, what made you unlock the gate shield?"
"We received a signal. It was one of your former codes. Then, Captain Carter recognized Rossberg in the one-eyed guy. He's claiming Earth is in great danger."
The group watched the big screen again. The prisoners looked calm.
Rossberg commented Matthews's last sentence, "That wouldn't be the first time."
Enedan demanded, "What do we do now?"
Carter declared, "We interrogate them.". Seeing Matthews was approving, she suggested, "Lieutenant Rossberg, doctor Keller, maybe you should come."
The two people looked at her, intrigued by this idea.
Carter explained, "To watch their reactions and feel if they're fooling us or not."
