Hello everyone, here is chapter three of my story. To clarify, this does take place in the DCAU, however I am incorporating some parts from other versions in here that I like such as Wonder Woman's bracelet shockwave attack, Martian Manhunter's black outfit that are in some Justice League movies, and I will be incorporating the movie Assault on Arkham in here as well. The reason for this is because I have decided that the first girl will be Killer Frost Louise Lincoln from Assault on Arkahm. I am open to other suggestions as well, and who should be invited. I don't know if I'll be doing Young Justice on here, but Teen Titans will be mentioned and/or possibly do a crossover in a future chapter. We'll see.
Also to ReadingBeta, love your list dude, but I forgot to mention harem is only a list of four to five girls. Gotta leave some love for the others too. I will leave a little spoiler in which Talia and Catwoman will not be in harem because they will be "fighting" each other for Bruce's attention. It's all a work in progress, might even do where everyone gets different versions of power rings just for fun (don't know yet)
Also in case some of you can't picture it, Azure has two sets of wings similar to Gundam Wing Zero from Endless Waltz movie, and Articuno's tail since Articuno was the ideal inspiration behind this hero along with Big Chill from Ben 10.

"You are no fun!" yelled Flash running on top of a lake with Green Lantern flying next to him.
"This isn't supposed to be fun! We've got a job to do, and we will do it better without distractions, understood?!" ordered John.
"Yeah, yeah, I hear ya! You didn't want the hot babe and the small time rookie on your team cramping your style", said Flash.
"Keep running that mouth of yours, and you'll be the fastest thing on crutches", said John with both of them quickly approaching their destination.
Jungle
"There's our target", whispered John kneeling on a cliff overlooking the canyon below with the aliens clearing the area of the jungle surrounding them while guarding a large factory producing smoke into the atmosphere that darkened the sky, "Now listen up. Here's the plan-"
"What plan? We kick their butts right? Let's get this over with!" interrupted a frustrated Flash as he swiftly ran down the cliff wall leaving behind a frustrated Green Lantern.
Whistle "Hey! Over here you tripod Hollywood reject! The remake was better than the original, and the color remake after that!" yelled Flash getting the tripod's attention as it started shooting it's laser with Flash easily dodging them.
"Ha! Missed me!" yelled Flash dodging several more blasts while running up to other tripods getting their attention, "Come on! Where'd you guys learn how to aim?! I've seen movies where troopers had better shots, and they still couldn't hit their target!"
Groan "Lord have mercy", groaned out John face palming at the speedster's actions.
Flash kept running around when he suddenly tripped over an explosive air pocket, trapping him in a sticky pool of gunk the factory was producing as it continued to pump smoke from it's pipes.
"Fool", muttered John flying down to rescue Flash.
Several tripods closed in on him preparing to fire when a green laser cut down one of the tripod's legs making it lose its balance taking down one of the other tripods next to it.
"Hang tight, hotshot", yelled John firing another green laser cutting another tripod in half until he was hovering over Flash glaring down on him.
"Hey, I'm sort of stuck in here", greeted Flash sheepishly.
"I hope the others are having better luck than we are. Almost makes me regret having you as my partner", said John using his ring to carefully cut him out.
"Now that's just hurtful GL", said Flash.
"Yeah, yeah, now hold still", ordered John.
Egypt
Batman and Diana hid behind several debris as a tripod walked past them without detecting them.
"Hiding like cowards is not the Amazon way! Azure Frost would agree with me if he was here!" complained Diana.
"They must have a weakness. When we find it, we'll strike", said Batman just as J'onn phased from the ground hoping to bring back a status report.
"I have scouted the outer walls. There are no openings", reported J'onn.
"Then we'll make our own!" said Diana charging in unstrapping her lasso as it glowed in her hand.
"Wait, I've already seen what one rookie can do. Let's see how she does", said Batman.
Diana quickly lassoed one of the tripod's legs flying rapidly around it ensnaring it's until she landed on one of its joints. She gathered her strength pulling on her lasso trying to make it fall, "Hera! Give me strength!"
Diana gave her lasso one final push making the tripod fall over the factory as it exploded creating a large hole on the wall when she was suddenly bombarded with several laser fire from two oncoming tripods. Diana deflected some with bracelets as she flew up to one of them at high speed clanging her two bracelets together at point blank range of one of the tripods blowing it back into the second one causing them both explode.
"There's your opening! The way is clear!" said Diana flying into the factory while J'onn and Batman looked at each other.
"Not bad. Crude, but effective. The other rookie had a bit more restraint though", said Batman shooting his grappling gun to go inside.
"I may have to agree with Azure on his point-of-view on what you view as a complement and an insult", said J'onn flying inside.
The trio looked inside with Diana deflecting their laser blasts with ease until they retreated deeper inside where it was dark. Batman noticed when one of them actually made a great effort to stay away from the light coming down from one of the holes on the roof, "They run like cowards! What are you waiting for?!"
Diana flew in after them with J'onn following behind. Batman hesitated until he looked up at the sun for a few seconds before running in after his teammates.
Metropolis
Hawkgirl was smashing a destroyed tripod with her mace while Azure created a large ice scythe slicing one of the legs near the joint, and pushed it towards another oncoming tripod. He created a small polygonal shaped shield where he deflected a laser blast back at a third tripod.
Superman flew up towards a destroyed tripod cutting off one of its legs, and threw it into the factory wall, "Hawkgirl, Azure, follow me!"
Both winged heroes followed him inside where they perched on an empty hallway, "Both of you keep a sharp eye out."
"I always do", said Hawkgirl looking at their surrounding while Azure folded his larger wings in front of him while his smaller wings drooped behind him.
"I have a bad feeling about this", muttered Azure quietly to his other comrade members.
The group of three walked deeper into the factory when they were suddenly ambushed by a squadron of alien. Azure created an ice wall in front of them as a defensive measure.
"Stay back, I'll draw their fire and-"
RAAGH
Hawkgirl let out a battle cry interrupting Superman with both heroes grimacing at the merciless onslaught that Hawkgirl was unleashing on the aliens. Superman dodge an alien that was thrown and splattered at the wall behind him while Azure phased through another whose head was smashed in by Hawkgirl's mace.
"Whoa", said a surprised Superman.
"Damn", said a surprised Azure.
"What? There's a time for words, and a time for action", said Hawkgirl leading on.
"Remind me to never get on her bad side", said Azure following behind her.
"You and me both", said Superman walking next to him.
Forest
"Of all the idiotic, bone-headed, glory-grabbing moves! Haven't you ever heard of teamwork?!" said John angrily finally freeing Flash from the gunk when a tripod walked up to them.
"Maybe we better save the motivational speeches till later", said Flash.
John flew up to the tripod creating a green energy bubble to protect himself from the tripod's laser when it suddenly shot a small purple like grenade that on contact exploded into a toxic cloud disorienting the Green Lantern. John coughed loudly as he inhaled some of the toxic substance when he suddenly lost consciousness falling down to the ground.
"GL!" yelled Flash worryingly whirling around his hands at top speed to blow away the toxic cloud from John. He looked up to see several other tripods closing in on them, "Gotta run!"
Flash quickly picked up John and quickly ran away from the site hoping to let his partner recuperate a bit.
Metropolis
The group of trio continued to walk deeper into the factory being weary of their surroundings, "They're close by. I can almost smell them", said Hawkgirl emitting sparks on her mace.
"Are you always so eager to fight?" asked a concerned Superman.
"My home Thanagar is war-like world. There, one must strike first or die", said Hawkgirl.
"I'm not one to argue about the politics of other cultures, but don't you think we should exercise a bit of caution considering that the enemy has the home field advantage? We don't exactly know too much about the enemy apart from what J'onn told us", said Azure.
"That's never stopped my people before", said Hawkgirl charging forward into an oncoming horde when they suddenly retreated with Hawkgirl chasing them.
"Wait, Hawkgirl! I'll-"
Superman was suddenly interrupted when the wall slammed against Hawkgirl, and several other hallways closing as well.
"They're trying to trap us!" said Azure leading the trio to another hallway when a door closed in front of them. Azure grabbed them both by the shoulder turning them intangible when he was shocked just as he tried to phase through the door. Azure was blasted back as he lost consciousness.
"Azure!" yelled a concern Superman with the hallway now fully completely closed, "We need to find a way out of here!"
Hawkgirl charged forward with her mace only trying to smash the walls when she was shocked as well when her mace made contact. She slowly lifted herself up with Superman grabbing Azure's unconscious body placing him next to her.
"Hold on! I'll-"
Superman was interrupted once again when a yellow gas started filling the blocked hallway knocking out the two remaining heroes into unconsciousness.
Egypt
Batman, J'onn, and Diana were pinned down by a squadron of aliens with Diana trying her best to deflect some of the lasers back at them, "They're trying to block us off again! It's almost as if they know what we're thinking!"
"Any ideas J'onn?!" asked Batman throwing an exploding batarang when he noticed the Maritain wasn't moving or saying anything, "J'onn?!"
"Superman's team is down. They have failed", said J'onn.
"What? Are you sure?" asked Diana feeling concerned for her fellow rookie hero.
"I can sense it", said J'onn when he sensed more enemies approaching, "This way! Hurry!"
J'onn lead the trio down a hallway and up a shaft just as a squadron of aliens ran past them, "We've lost them", said Diana peeking around the corner.
"For the moment", said Batman taking out an electric knuckle guard.
"Look", whispered J'onn.
Batman and Diana turned around the corner to see a glowing red crystal inside an anti-gravity containment field with several aliens working in several crevices doing various task to make the factory run, "It's the central core", said J'onn pointing their attention to the glowing crystal.
"How can we shut it down?" asked Batman.
"The Ion Matrix Crystal. If we can remove that, we'll shut down the whole plant. I'll need a diversion", said J'onn.
"You've got it", said Batman throwing a batarang that sliced off a pipe making it spill gunk over several aliens and their consoles.
Diana grabbed a nearby column, and pulled it out as it sparked and let out some smoke forcing some aliens to flee. Diana clapped her bracelets together destroying several sections of the factory gaining the aliens' attention just as J'onn phased through the floor and up to the crystal. Batman launched himself from their balcony landing on several aliens, and started electrocuting as many as he could. An alien was approaching him from behind when Diana jumped down landing on it and deflected several blasts wither her bracelets. Batman threw another exploding batarang, and punched another alien that was charging him. The two heroes continued to face the horde of aliens until they heard several explosions go off when Diana noticed J'onn was shot from behind, and landed hard on the floor below.
"J'onn!" yelled a concerned Diana flying through several aliens as they quickly reformed after she punched them helping the Maritain back up to his feet.
"Get him out! Now!" ordered Batman fighting off several aliens.
Diana grabbed J'onn and flew them out with Batman running behind them just as he grabbed the crystal. They both noticed the door starting to close with Diana increasing her speed just as the door slammed behind her and J'onn. She looked around and noticed that Batman wasn't with them with a banging sound coming from the other side of the door, "Batman!"
Diana ran to the door hoping to save her comrade when she heard blaster fire and the door bulging with each hit the lasers made at the door until it suddenly stopped.
"No!" said a worried Diana about to slam the door open when J'onn stopped her.
"Wait! There's nothing more we can do for him", said J'onn.
"You don't mean he's-"
"Gone", said J'onn in a sadden tone.
Diana looked on in horror and sadness as she remembered the Green Lantern's words, as well what Azure had told her about the loss of comrades, and wondered if she was even doing the right thing, "Hera, help us."
"Come, we must regroup for now, and plan our next step", said J'onn leading the way out of the factory.
Metropolis
News of an alien craft that was five times bigger than the original ships spread all over Metropolis with the people everywhere looting and vandalizing the streets. Panic and hysteria spread across the city as people everywhere ran for their lives, or hid in their homes praying for a miracle.
"Perhaps my mother was right about mankind. They're nothing but untamed savages", said Diana looking down from the rooftop of the building at several people looting an electronic and drug store with other people running in panic.
"Do not judge them too harshly. They act out of fear. We weren't any different before our technological advances on Mars. They are still a young civilization trying to find their way in this universe", said J'onn.
John and Flash approached the building they were on after stopping to help some civilians that were trapped yelling for help. The duo landed next to them, "Sorry we're late. Had to help some civilians along the way."
"What'd you call us back for?" asked Flash.
"Superman's been captured. He's trapped inside there with Hawkgirl and Azure Frost", said Diana pointing to the factory in the center of the city.
"Whoa", said Flash as he couldn't believe what he just heard.
"What about Batman?" asked John.
"He acted heroically to the very end", said J'onn in a dishearten tone.
"The Bat's dead?" asked a surprised Flash.
"He was a true warrior", said Diana in a dishearten tone.
"This is not good. Definitely not good. This is exactly what I was afraid of after letting two amateurs-"
"Batman risked his life so we can escape after almost taking down a factory when were suddenly overwhelmed! J'onn was hurt after taking down the factory's main core when Batman ordered us for a tactical retreat, and he gave his life valiantly! Azure Frost believed in you in that you were a good leader and strategist, and wanted to prove himself to you that he was capable of helping others like you! He told me that you are an experience soldier! A warrior yourself! And you know about loss of comrades! Batman may be gone, but there is a chance that Azure is still alive along with Superman and Hawkgirl! Like it or not, he's your comrade too! He knew the risk and dangers of fighting these aliens, and yet he still answered the call to arms to go against these invaders! How much more does he need to prove himself before you can get that to your head?!" said Diana feeling insulted at being called an amateur once again, but she still remembered what Azure told her before they split up shocking John and the others.
Sigh "You're right. I'm sorry. It's never easy when you lose someone in your squad, but you're right. We need to get down there and figure out how we're going to rescue them from that thing", said John with Diana smiling at his acceptance.
The group of heroes were near the outskirt of the factory where they watched several tripods patrol the area around it, "I can't believe we're doing this again."
"If there's one thing the army taught me, it's that we never leave a man behind", said John looking back at Diana and J'onn, "You sure they're still in there, aren't you?"
John looked at the Martian as his eyes glowed without giving him a response, "J'onn?"
"Yes. You're friends are alive, but we must act quickly. The Imperium is coming", said J'onn.
"The who?" asked Flash.
"The Supreme Intelligence that controls these invaders. We have met before", said J'onn looking up at the cloudy sky.
"Can we trust this space case?" whispered Flash to John doubting J'onn's loyalty right now.
"What choice do we have? Besides, if the head honcho is about to make an appearance, that means something big is about to go down" whispered John getting up, "Okay, we're going in. Flash create a diversion. Diana watch my back."
"You sure you want to rely on an amateur?" asked Diana hotly.
"You can scold me about that later. You wanted me to believe in him, well here's my chance to believe in what he said about you", said John making Diana smile as she remembered how he wanted to fight alongside her, "Let's move!"
Flash went up to a tripod throwing a well-pitched rock at it's side gaining it's attention, "Tag! You're it!"
The tripod fired several shots with the speedster easily dodging them as he serpentine around confusing it, "Not even close!"
The tripod finally spotted the speedster leaning against a rock that had the same explosive substance he stepped on underneath it, "Come on, give it your best shot", egged on Flash.
The tripod lifted its leg hoping to step on the speedster when he suddenly disappeared just as the rock exploded completely tearing off it's leg. The tripod lost its balance and fell down on more explosive substance instantly destroying it with Flash smiling at his handy work, "Buh Bye."
The trio group managed to sneak in the factory with J'onn leading them as he kept sensing around for the captive heroes. Once inside Flash caught up with the group as they rounded the corner. J'onn signaled the others to stay where they were shapeshifting to look like the aliens themselves. He warned them about intruders in the hallway causing them to grab their weapons and go towards their direction. Once the aliens saw the heroes, J'onn phased his hands through them effectively destroying them as they fell down dead, "Come, we must hurry", ordered J'onn.
"Is it just me, or does he creep you out too?" asked Flash exchanging some looks from Diana and John.
After leading them through several corridors until they stopped when J'onn placed his hand against the wall, "I sensed they are somewhere beyond these walls."
Diana tried to push what appeared to be a large spiral door out of the way until John decided to use his ring to weld the door open with J'onn sensing the arrival of the Imperium getting closer. Once they managed to open the door, they tried to rescue their teammates only to be tricked by the alien's shapeshifted into their captive's forms, and were suddenly ambushed by their knockout gas.
J'onn was the first one to regain consciousness after hearing someone call out his name. He looked around to notice that his limbs were restrained in some kind of sticky substance along with the other heroes. He saw Superman there calling out to him asking if he was okay, "Superman?"
"You shouldn't have risked your lives for us", said Superman.
"Would you have done any less for me?" asked J'onn with the other heroes waking up.
Ugh "My head. Feels like I got hit by a truck, and why does my mouth taste weird?" groaned Azure regaining consciousness.
"Trust me, you don't want to know", said Superman.
"Why? Don't tell me something is going to pop out of my chest", said Azure halfheartedly.
"You watch way too many movies my friend", chuckled Superman.
Nervous Chuckle "Yeah, right…Seriously though is there-" asked Flash nervously only to be interrupted by Superman.
"You're both fine. You don't have anything like that. I have x-ray vision remember?" said Superman with Flash and Azure muttering in agreement.
"Earth's mightiest heroes", said an alien in a familiar voice, shifting its form into a man in his 30s with light brown hair, fair skin, and black eyes while wearing a black power suit many politicians wear, "Welcome."
"Senator Carter?!" said a surprised Azure to see the astronaut-turned-politician.
"Unfortunately the real Carter never returned from Mars", said Carter.
"And you used me to weaken Earth's defenses", said Superman angrily.
"You were so eager to cooperate. Thanks to you, the humans were totally hopeless against us", said Carter.
"It's not over yet."
"Wrong again Superman", said Carter opening the roof of the building to see a large ship off in the distance. A small shuttle disembarked from the ship as it made its way down to the factory, "All hail the Imperium!"
A large grotesque floating blob with tentacles sprouting all over it descended from the shuttle as it ominously hovered over to them, "J'onn J'onzz, its been a long time", greeted the blob as J'onn was put in front of him. The blob sent out an electric shock forcing J'onn to revert back to his original Martian state, "Much better."
"You have defied us for centuries J'onn J'onzz", said the Imperium.
"And I will never bow to you, or any of your kind!" said J'onn as he tried to get up.
"Then We will see to finishing what should have been accomplished long ago. The elimination of the last Martian", said the Imperium imbedding his tentacles into J'onn as he sent electrical shocks to the Martian's body. The Imperium absorbed J'onn into his body as he continued his torture by sending more tentacles into the Martian.
"Let him go you filthy-" grunted Superman trying to free himself.
"Hey! The flying horror hentai reject! Why don't you pick on someone your own size?!" yelled Azure.
"Quiet lower worm! You should feel honor to be in my presence", said the Imperium.
"Oh hell no! ¡Dime eso en mi cara, gusano crecido! Te convertiré en un granizado de paleta flotante y-" Mmph
Azure was suddenly muffled when the substance reached over to cover his mouth.
"Huh, Go figure", said Superman.
"Always knew Latinos were hot-blooded", said John earning a muffled growl from Azure.
"Yield to Us, J'onn Jonzz", said the Imperium.
"Never!" grunted J'onn as more electricity continued to shock him.
"Why do you resist? Embrace this truth. After all these years you have finally lost", said the Imperium with an impatient tone.
"Have I?!" grunted J'onn.
"You're hiding something. A secret deep in the recess of your mind. Is this another one of your Martian tricks?" said the Imperium pushing his tentacles deeper.
"Do I sense fear?!" said J'onn hotly.
"What are you hiding?!"
"Now!" yelled J'onn.
BOOM
The explosion caught everyone's attention near the large crystal chamber. On top of the chamber stood Batman holding a device in his hands with part of the chamber melted away.
"Batman?!" said a shocked Flash.
"It can't be", said a surprised Diana.
"I mentally shielded him so he wouldn't be detected", explained J'onn resisting the Imperium's tentacles with Batman embedding the device into the crystal causing it turn bright blue along with all the consoles in the factory.
The factory let out a beam through its pipes clearing up the sky with all the smoke that was being emitted slowly dispersing revealing a clear blue sky with the sun beaming down. Several aliens ran away while others screamed in pain as their skin bubbled in the light of the sun, and quickly evaporated.
"No! What have you done?!" asked Carter.
"Reverse the ion charge", said Batman.
"The crystal! Destroy it!" ordered the Imperium with the aliens desperately blasting the chamber forgetting that their own shielding technology was protecting the reversed ion crystal.
Azure's mouth piece slowly became frozen solid until he blew it away with his icy breath, and sharp icicles popping out from near his restraints, "Finally! Took me forever to freeze through this gunk!"
Azure freed his hands as he created a lance to reach over to Diana's hands freeing her restraint. He shifted the lance in to a xiphos sword and threw it to Diana. Azure used his ice breath to freeze everyone's restraints allowing them break free. Azure shot an ice beam towards Hawkgirl creating an ice mace for her to wield with her free hand.
"A second mace, I always wanted to try dual wielding", said Hawkgirl smiling as she went on a rampage destroying as many slimes as she could.
Azure clapped his hands together creating a Bo staff as he threw it to Batman charging an electrical current with his knuckle buster shocking aliens as he slammed them to the ground. Azure flew up next to John as they both fired their beams at a horde of oncoming aliens instantly freezing them and blasting them out of the factory into the sunlight where they quickly evaporated, "Good to have you back rookie!"
"Good to be back sir!" smiled Azure with both of them standing back to back creating weapons with their respective powers as they sliced and blasted through another wave of aliens.
Diana sliced through several aliens as she flew up cutting holes in the roof while charging forward tackling several aliens into the sunlight. Azure appeared above them pinning them down with an ice spear as they yelled in pain of the sun's radiation and evaporated.
J'onn forced his way out of the Imperium's body grabbing its tentacles as he dragged it into the sunlight, "No!"
"You live underground and shun the light! Why?! Does it burn your pale, putrid, skin!" said J'onn with the Imperium screaming in pain with his skin bubbling in the sunlight.
"Man that's one nasty sunburn", said Flash pushing several aliens into the sunlight.
"Ultraviolet rays coming from the depths of space. The invaders have no resistance to our sun's radiation", said Batman kicking an alien behind him when Diana appeared reflecting several blasts aimed at him.
She threw her sword impaling several of the aliens at once pinning them to the wall. Batman threw an exploding batarang creating a huge hole with the creatures evaporating. She flew up with Superman creating more holes on the roof, and peeled back the debris to let as much sunlight in as possible.
The Imperium embedded its tentacles into J'onn once again creating a strong electrical bolt that knocked J'onn unconscious. The blob creature slowly retreated back to its ship with Senator Carter chasing after him, "Imperium!"
"Unhand me worm!" said the Imperium knocking back Carter.
The Imperium was about to enter his ship when he was tackled by Azure to the ground near the edge of the ship's shadow, "Tell me, how does it feel to be at the mercy of a lowly worm you overgrown parasite?"
"You will-"
"You will feel a freeze so cold it burns!" yelled Azure slamming his fist into the ground erupting several icicles pushing the Imperium back into the sunlight. More icicles erupted from the ground pinning the tentacle blob in place with the sunlight being reflected in various angles as it burned the Imperium. Azure saw Carter getting up and froze his feet in place unable to escape the sun's rays where he screamed in pain as he slowly evaporated.
"Vaya con Dios Mr. Carter", said Azure offering a small prayer to the real Carter who gave up his life.
The Imperium's ship slowly started to ascend shocking Azure, "How dare you leave me here! I am your master! Save me!"
"Look at that, even the mongrel dogs have abandoned their master", remarked John.
Diana used her lasso to grab the ship until it fired its beam forcing her to reflect it with her bracelet. Hawkgirl flew up grabbing the lasso to propel herself even faster as she slammed the ship with her mace sending shockwaves as it started to explode from the inside. Hawkgirl kept hitting the ship until it finally started to go down with Diana grabbing her lasso once again trying to force the ship back. Hawkgirl grabbed Diana's lasso as well with both heroines successfully maneuvering the ship back into the factory as it started to explode.
"No!" yelled the Imperium as his own ship crashed on top of him exploding on contact with the whole factory starting to break apart.
Flash quickly grabbed Batman just as a piece of debris almost fell on him, "Hate to lose you again Bats."
BOOM
Several explosions started to go off with the aliens starting to evacuate their own factory, "Maybe we better get out of here", said Flash.
"Not without them", said Superman pointing to some captive humans in pods.
"Diana, Flash, here!" yelled out Azure creating another sword for her and some daggers for Flash, "We'll cover you!"
Azure and J'onn phased through some debris destroying some attacking aliens while Flash, Diana, and Superman freed the human prisoners.
"The whole place is going to blow!" yelled Hawkgirl
"Everybody stay close!" ordered John using his ring to shield the captive humans and lifted them up to safety followed by the Superman carrying Flash, Diana with Azure carrying Batman, and lastly Hawkgirl.
The heroes managed to escape with the surviving invaders still on the main ship fleeing into deep space while the sky was slowly starting to clear up.
"It's finally over", sighed Azure.
"Not quite. We still have some cleaning up to do. They did leave some of their friends behind after all", said John.
"Then I say let's take 'em down fast", said Flash.
"For once I actually agree with you", chuckled Azure.
News reports of the heroes' victory spread as they helped take down any remaining remnants of the invaders that were left behind, and helped with the cleaning effort. They destroyed all remaining factories and tripods while rescuing any civilians trapped under countless rubble, or that were held hostage in the factories. Despite their best efforts there were still some who were wary about them, and other possible threats that could come in the future.
Batman was sitting in his cave listening to the reports of concerned Generals and other government officials about possible threats in the future that he actually had a thought about this situation.
Satellite in Earth's Orbit
A large satellite station was orbiting the Earth giving it quite a spectacle view of the planet below, "Incredible", said Superman looking down at Earth.
"This is simply amazing!" said a giddy Azure looking around the station in wonder as he flew up to several viewing panels looking down on Earth, "This is even better than when I dreamt as a kid."
"Do your stockholders know about this Bruce?" asked Superman.
"Ah, So my deductions were correct after all", said Azure landing next to Superman smiling at the billionaire.
Batman just glared the two in annoyance while choosing to ignore them, "A line item hidden in the Aerospace R&D budget. This Watchtower will act as an early-warning system for detecting other threats of invasion from space…Clark", said Batman smiling at Superman confusing the Kryptonian.
"Clark? Wait, as in Clark Kent of the Daily Planet Clark Kent?" said a surprised Azure, "You interviewed me during the video game tournament last year that was held in Metropolis! You were a Kryptonian this whole time?!"
"Right, you won third place at the championship that year", said Superman remembering his interview from that time.
"You remember me?" asked a surprised Azure.
"Sort of, I thought it was weird someone was wearing a large coat in the tournament. When I saw through it, I saw your wings, but since you weren't really doing anything other than having fun I thought I'd just let you be", said Superman smiling down at the rookie.
Azure eye twitched in annoyance as it was the second time his coat was being made fun of, and walked off grumbling about how hard he worked for that replica.
"This place is great! It has a stocked kitchen and everything! Ice mocha?" offered Flash.
"No, thanks."
"Yes, please", grumbled Azure chugging the caffeinated drink.
Mmm "They don't have these on Themyscira", said Diana enjoying her drink.
"Stick around princess. I'll show you the ropes" Whoa, said Flash trying to flirt with her only for Azure to freeze where he was standing making him slip again.
"Okay, that time I know it was you Frosty!"
"I have no idea what you're talking about. Not my fault you keep tripping over your own two feet", said Azure slurping his mocha.
"Impressive installation", said John floating down towards the group with Hawkgirl next to him, "Most impressive, but what's it got to do with us?"
Superman looked out the window once again looking down at Earth, "I once thought I could protect the world by myself, but I was wrong. Working together, we saved the planet. And I believe if we stayed together as a team, we would be a force that could truly work for the ideals of peace and justice", explained Superman.
"What? Like a bunch of super friends?" asked Flash.
"That sounds more like a cheesy Saturday morning cartoon from the 70s. Please tell me we're not gonna call ourselves that", said Azure.
"More like a Justice League", said Superman smiling.
"And I'm the corny one with cliché lines?" asked Azure.
"Shows what kind of habits people tend to pick up", said Batman.
"You're lucky this is your space station", muttered Azure.
"This also took away some money from Wayne Enterprises internships we were holding", whispered Batman making Azure spit out his mocha drink.
"Do you have any idea how corny that sounds? But then again the big guy has a point. With all of us behind it, it just might work", said Flash, "Count me in."
"Me too", said John with Hawkgirl joining in beside him.
"My mother may not agree, but I find man's world to be intriguing. I'll gladly join", said Diana.
"I'm gamed. Guess you can count me in considering the circumstances", said Azure glaring at Batman.
"What about you, Batman?" asked Superman.
"I'm not really a people person, but when you need help, and you will…call me", said Batman as he walked off.
"Wait, J'onn's not here", said Diana looking around.
"Yeah, where is he?" asked Flash.
Superman and Azure spotted him as they flew up to an observation post where J'onn was staring off into deep space, "J'onn, are you alright?" asked Azure.
"My family and loved ones are long gone. I am the last of my kind", said J'onn in a dishearten tone.
"I know the feeling" said Superman placing a comforting hand on his shoulder.
"Now Mars is dead, and I am alone in the universe", said J'onn with Azure not really knowing how to respond to that.
"J'onn, we can never replace the family you've lost, but we'd be honored if you could learn to call Earth your home", said Superman.
"I am curious about your culture as well. Perhaps you can also help me find more Cryovians out there so I can learn more about my other half. Hawkgirl did say that my other kind did help preserve the memories of other cultures. Perhaps I should follow in their tradition and help you preserve the memory of Mars for when Earth is ready", said Azure.
"I would like that", said J'onn smiling as the two heroes led the Martian down to the group.
