(Meanwhile with Kivuli and Scar)

After the Ceremony, Kivuli walked angrily to the cave that was far away from the Priderock. He is greeted by the presence of his father, Scar, who was mourning at the fact that Mufasa's son will be next in line on the throne rather than him. "So I guess they bowed to the prince, did they?" Scar asked the black furred lion.

"Yeah, they eventually did and I have already expected it," Kivuli replied angrily and sat down next to him. A hum was all Scar can say and played around the mouse he caught this morning while his son is watching.

Kivuli grinned at how helpless the mouse under Scar's paws while it tried to struggle. "Life's not fair, isn't Kivuli?" Scar asked this son while playing mouse in his paws. "You see I...Well, neither of us will be king and our friend here shall never see the light of another day. Hehehe. Adieu."

Scar was about to eat the mouse when a familiar bird interrupted him. "Didn't your mother ever tell you not to play with your food?" The bird named Zazu stood at the entrance of the cave with an unhappy look. Scar and Kivuli rolled their eyes with annoyance.

"What do you want now, Zazu?" Kivuli asked with annoyance.

"I'm here to announce that King Mufasa and Prince Hayden is on their way, you two better have a good excuse for missing the ceremony this morning," Zazu said. Kivuli growls that even he is in trouble for being not present.

Kivuli's frustrated growl made his father accidentally let loose the mouse that was under his grasp and escapes. "Oh now look, you made Kivuli lose my lunch." Scar said and what's worse is that he has no other things to eat for lunch.

"Hah! You'll lose more than that when the king gets through with you two," Zazu said as he landed in front of Scar. "He's as mad as a hippo with a hernia."

"Oh, dear! We quiver in FEAR." Kivuli said with a malicious grin when she said fear. He approaches Zazu menacingly and it indeed made him step back out of fear.

"Now Kivuli, don't look at me that way..." Zazu said to Kivuli when he continues to approach him. As a last resort, he tried flying away screaming 'HELP' but he was quickly grabbed by Kivuli and had him hold in the neck.

Kivuli grinned, even more, when the bird was helplessly in his palms and he looked at Scar who share the same grin as him. "Lunch is served, Dad," Kivuli said when he threw Zazu to Scar, who opens his mouth and caught him inside.

"SCAR!" A deep voice startled the duo when they knew who it was. Mufasa was standing in the entrance of the cave with Hayden in his Lavos warframe. Kivuli glared at the sight of his uncle and alien cousin. "Drop him," Mufasa ordered Scar.

"Impeccable timing, your majesty," Zazu said while he was still inside Scar's mouth. It did not take Scar a minute to spit him out and leaving him to drench in Saliva. Kivuli snickered at Zazu's damped situation.

Scar approached Mufasa and Hayden. "Why if it isn't my big brother and what I assumed his new entitled surrogate son," Scar said with a hint of sarcasm in his voice. Hayden formed a fist and want to cause a scene for the mockery but Mufasa brought his paw, signing him to stop. Hayden nodded at Mufasa and remain where he is.

"Sarabi and I didn't see you and Kivuli at the presentation of Simba and Hayden today," Mufasa spoke while glaring at his brother and nephew.

"That was today? Oh, I feel simply awful." Scar said with fake astonishment while dragging his claws on the rock wall, making all the shrieking noises. Zazu cringed as he couldn't bear the noise. "Must have slipped my mind," Scar said, admiring his claws.

"Yes, well, as slippery as your mind is, as the king's brother, you should have been first in line!" Zazu said when he flew near his face and Scar click his teeth. Zazu takes cover behind Mufasa's foreleg.

"Well, I was first in line... until the little hairball was born." Scar said when he bent down to Zazu.

"That hairball you are referring to is my brother and your future king," Hayden spoke it straight sentence. Mufasa is awestricken from his fluent speaking. But Scar disregard it immediately.

"Oh, so it speaks after all. Don't worry, my strange 'nephew'. I shall have to practice my curtsy next time," Scar said before turning away to leave. Another smirk was forming in Kivuli's face when Scar was attempting to anger Mufasa and it actually worked.

"Don't turn your back on us, Scar," Mufasa warned Scar with the voice of authority.

"Oh, no, Mufasa. Perhaps YOU shouldn't turn YOUR back on me or to the lioness who saved you years ago." Scar replied back to his brother.

Kivuli felt a pang of pain in his chest when Scar mentioned his mother. He was correct. His mother was Mufasa's friend and the sister of Sarabi. But they barely never acknowledged her. No matter what she does, she was not good enough to be part of the pride and it resulted in her taking her own life.

Hayden rushed through and jump in front of Scar, with his paracesis heavy blade blocking the pathway. "You dare disrespect the king?!" Hayden growled.

"Temper, temper. I wouldn't dream of challenging you, Dear prince." Scar said to Hayden with a calm expression.

"Pity, why not?" Zazu questioned with his wings crossed.

"Well, as far as brains go, I got the lion's share. But, when it comes to brute strength..." Scar paused when he looked at Mufasa and Hayden. "...I'm afraid I'm at the shallow end of the gene pool." Scar finished his sentence and left the cave. Kivuli glared at Mufasa and Hayden once more before joining with his father.

"There's one in every family, sire... Two in mine, actually." Zazu said with a sigh and perches on Hayden's shoulder. Then he goes on." And they always manage to ruin special occasions."

Mufasa shook his head as he watched his brother and nephew walk away and vanish from sight into the clearing of the trees. "What am I going to do with them?" he asked himself.

"Well, for the time being, I shall keep an eye out on him. I don't even wanna know what he is up to," Zazu said with a hint of concern in his voice.

"We know about that, Zazu. But now that scar is dealt with, we should head back now." Mufasa said then looked at Hayden. "Hayden, would you explain how you spoke fluently earlier?"

"I…spent the whole night learning how to talk and I think it was a success," Hayden explained. He wasn't sure whether to be proud or be nervous that the king is surprised from the talking minutes ago. What's worse was the aggressive behavior he showed on Scar too.

"That was impressive actually. Now it easier to talk to you now." Mufasa complimented. "Let's head back now. We don't want your mother to get worried about staying out too long."

"Agreed, Sire." Zazu commented and Hayden nodded. They start to exit in the cave and walked their way to the pridelands. Hayden stopped his tracks and looked at where Scar and Kivuli disappeared. He has a bad feeling that something is really bugging about the two lions before. Scar, Kivuli and Zira are so far the least friendly lions he met.

"Hayden, is there something wrong?" Mufasa called out.

"Nothing. Nothing at all." Hayden replied and started walking again back to the pridelands. From now on, he will have a close eye on those two. Hayden believes that they are up to something. Something really unpleasant.

(Rafiki)

Nighttime had finally struck the pride lands, and the sun was already setting. There were greyish clouds in the dark sky, and rain started to fall as lightning and thunder struck across the heavens above.

Rafiki was at home in his Tree of Life, still awake, and had several coconuts hanging amongst what made the "ceiling" above him. He grabbed one coconut that was lying on the floor, which was already open, and stuck his thumb in it.

He looked up at the drawing that he had made of Simba earlier that evening, and gave a low chuckle. He laughed once more and rubbed the brownish-red liquid that came from the coconut on the picture of Simba's forehead and Hayden's torso.
