The last day of term had come quickly, no classes would be held today. Instead today was reserved for the packing of bags and spending one last day with your friends if you wouldn't be able to see them over summer. Lily and Seveus, quite excited, had packed their bags three days ago and talked about spending the day doing something they both loved. Drawing each other and other people. Severus had never been much of an artist but since he knew how much Lilly loved it he gave it a try and found it very fun as well. Lily was an amazing artist. She could draw something and make it look like a photograph. It didn't move of course, like normal wizarding photographs do but it was still just as spectacular. Severus on the other hand enjoyed drawing but wasn't good at it. He liked making funny little pictures of his classmates and little jokes and showing them to Lily, they always made her laugh. Severus looked at Lilly as she drew. One thick strand of red hair fell over her eyes and onto the top corner of the page. It reminded him of a waterfall at sunset when the deep orange sun just barely hit the water's surface and set the entire lake aglow. Sitting in front of him was the woman he loved and he was so very lucky to have her to love him back.
"What?" Lily asks with a playful smile. Severus had not realized that he had been staring at her with a goofy boyish grin.
"Mmmm nothing" He said softly with a closed lip smile. The dark haired man set his sketch pad down to his side and leaned his head in her lap looking up at his lover with puppy dog eyes. Lily, knowing exactly what he wanted, leaned down to peck him on the lips.
"Have I ever told you how much I absolutely love you Severus Snape?" The red headed angel asks her dark haired partner. He smiles and furrows his eyebrows miming deep thought.
"No" he jokes, in reality Lilly had professed her love for him many many times.
Lilly giggles.
"Well I do love you"
"I know," He answers back.
James Potter was surprised he wasn't having a particularly hard time getting over Lily. Sure he had loved her for many years but there was something about being completely honest with her that gave him some sense of peace. It felt nice. He had even been in such a good mood for the past two weeks that on the morning of leaving for the Hogwarts Express he wished Snape a good summer.
"Have a nice holiday Severus!" James had said happily before speeding off leaving a very confuzzled Slytherian in his wake. James was happy, he was going to spend the summer with Sirius and Remus and had made plans with Lilly to have lunch at her house over the summer holiday to meet her family since they were friends now. Lily had joked that her sister might like him, said her sister was 17 and into bad guys like him. He had of course said he wasn't a bad guy and Lily lightened her 'sentence' to "prankster" which he was very proud of. He and the Marauders were well known for being the class clowns of the school. Although he had felt really bad because for years he had thought that bullying Severus was funny. To him, maybe, everyone else looked like a prick. I guess back then he was one. But as Lily said, "One of the hardest feats in the world is to know and admit when you are wrong"
"Prongs… great Merlin I have been saying his name for five minutes I think he's deaf" Sirius says with his normal goofball grin. Of course James could hear them, he just kept pretending to be dreaming.
"What if he really cant hear us?" Peter asks softly, everyone (except James) looks over to the tiny plump boy sitting on the beige leather of the seat compartment, his hands were between his legs and he looked nervous, (Perhaps he was worried about his friends mental health?) Peter Pettigrew always looked nervous. If the boy with the animagus of a rat would have a spirit animal it would either be a rat (hence his animagus) or a Chiwawa (James hated those ratty shivering little buggers, gave him the chills, his great aunt Michelle Potter had one).
"Unless he cast a Muffilto charm on us while we weren't looking then yes he should be able to hear us" Remus stated, sounding very teacher-like.
"Merlin Remus I swear when you spit random spell facts you sound like a teacher" Sirius started rolling his dark brown eyes.
"Well good I hope to be one someday"
"That sucks for you"
"Not really"
"Shove it"
"No"
"Why not?"
James knew these two would keep bickering till they got off the train unless someone (such as himself) intervened. Peter would be too timid to come in between them.
"You could think your two are married by the way you bicker" James said, out of the corner of his eye he saw Remus blush. Only James knew of Remus's sexulaity, Remus Lupin was homosexual for Sirus Black. The werewolf had threatened James that if he told Sirius he would beat James within an inch of his life.
"Oh wouldn't you know he's alive?" Sirius says with a smirk still red-faced at his unruly black haired friend's comment. James huffs and continues to look out the window relishing in the peaceful silence.
As the train neared the station Lily and Severu grew excited. They were going to spend the night in separate homes of course and see each other during the day. And in three days during a dinner Lily's family had invited the dark eyed slytherin to tell Lily's family of the change in their relationship status. They had been dating for four weeks as of today. Lily was so content with their relationship Severus just made her feel at peace. He made her happy. Another thing he made her was confused. Not because of him, he personally hadn't angered her or worried her anyway and never had before. But the thoughts and feelings he unintentionally promoted to her mind were confusing. Before they were together any type of physically romantic or sexual thought she had of him would push to the back of her mind, and she would feel so embarrassed at herself for even thinking such things. Lily Evans was not innocent as she seemed. She was a good girl yes, but her thoughts were not always 100% pure. But she had allowed them knowing it was a key part in growing older and maturing. Although one day when she could not stop thinking about sex she had gone to the library to reaserch a contraceptive charm… you know… just in case.
Lily knew that if she went into the library and asked Madam Pomfrey for a book on contraceptive charms she would get a strange look and it was more than likely that she would get reported to the head of house. So Lily picked a less… obvious name for what she was looking for.
"Do you have any books on preventive charms for illness?" She asked the snooty librarian. The grey haired old woman looks at Lily suspiciously.
"Shelf 18 should be at the bottom" Madam Pomfrey with a bored expression. Lily nodded and walked off down the long carpeted halls till she reached a small shelf on the back. Lily searched through many many books and about three hours later she found what she was looking for.
Charms for Love Making
The following paragraph will contain charms for lovers. Whether it be to prevent the consequences of love making or to give you a more fruitful womb.
Lily looked at the first two spells.
Puer Preoccupo- The most effective contraceptive charm
Puer Proccupo- The most effective fertility charm.
Lily smiled and attempted to memorize the contraceptive charm. She wanted to get to her bed as soon as possible. Both charms were so similar but she was sure she wouldn't forget. So just in case she ripped a small piece of paper off her parchment pad. And jotted down
Puer Proccupo- Contraceptive Charm
Lily very quickly shoved the note in her bag and shelved all the books she had taken from their places before rushing out the door and to the great hall for dinner.
"Lily love, we're here" Severus says softly, placing his hand on her knee and squeezing it. Lily wakes from her stupor and looks at her dark haired partner and then out to the window where she saw her parents waving at her. The red-head smiled sleepily and gave a short wave back before standing up and gathering her trunk and helping Severus with his. She was excited for the summer and she couldn't wait to go home and sleep in her own bedroom.
"Lily flower we missed you!" Her father Noah Evans said with a big bone crushing hug. Her mother fussed over her and gave her many kisses and her sister Petunia started asking about boys. They all surrounded the red-head for a minute before the young witches parents turned towards Severus and started fussing over him as well. Severus Snape had been Lily's best friend since age nine and they considered him to be their unofficial son. Petunia didn't give a rats ass about the greasy haired boy and thought of him as a disease. Instead she turned to her sister who she had missed the entire school year.
"I have a boyfriend," Petunia Evans said to her (just barely) younger sister. It took Lily by surprise, that her sister had a boyfriend. But it made sense because Petunia was sixteen years old and a socially prominent young lady.
"Mmm is he handsome"
"I guess, but I decided I am old enough to start looking for someone to settle with and he is the best choice for me"
Well this took our Lily by surprise. However once again it shouldn't because there were many young women now getting married as soon as they turned eight-teen. Lily was still going to, of course, inspect this boyfriend of her sisters till he couldn't tell an owl from a rat. She had to make sure that this boy Petunia was planning on spending the rest of her life passing the Lily inspection.
Vernon Dursley did not by any means pass the Lily Inspection, in fact you had received full T's. T for troll of course. He was well on his way to becoming prominent in his fathers screw company, But Lily Evans could not see that. All this red haired witch saw was a ball of sweaty rolling planes of fat. If the balloon or a man walked for more than a mile he would probably pass out from over exertion. Lily fucking hated him. She did not EVER use curse words without a justified reason and she believed this reason was justified enough to allow a few.
"Petunia, how could you possibly ever even think of being with him! ARE YOU DAFT!!??" Lily yelled, she was one hundred percent sure that the entire house could hear her (including the chubby arse of a man downstairs) but she didn't care at all.
"Well it will be easier to not work and just stay home and raise children which is what I want, to be a mother" Petunia said sheepishly. Some people might call her a gold digger, but she wasn't one. She just simply wanted to be a mother to many children and to do that she needed money and a stable home which Vernon could provide.
"No Petunia… or actually I can't stop you but please search a bit more first '' Lily whined. That is when the redhead had an idea, well she had thought of it before but now she thought good things would come of it if it worked.
"I have someone you should meet, and if you do not like him by all means go with that chubby oaf"
Petunia's lips formed a thin line and she nodded and raised her eyebrow.
"Fine"
