"Did he run over your cat?"
"Huh?" Tenten looked over at her boss. Confusion clearly displayed on her face.
"You look like you want to kill that guy." He pointed over to the energetic yellow haired boy next to the silent duck butt haired boy.
"I just don't like him at the moment."
"So you liked him before?"
"Yeah...um not in that way though. He just did something stupid towards my friend."
"Boys are stupid at this age."
"Just this age?"
"Ok, we're stupid all the time." That got a chuckle out of her.
With her mood lifted, Tenten got back to work happily...until she thought about the other thing involving said boy.
"What now? He took your dumplings?" She unhappily looked at her boss again.
"Never play poker."
"Why?"
"Your face can't hide anything." He said as he poked her cheek.
"It's not my fault. I caught him doing something. Urgh, I don't know what to do." She helplessly threw her arms up in defeat. He patted her shoulder.
"Talk later."

Naruto couldn't contain his smile these days. He felt like his face would eventually crack. Who wouldn't smile all day long when they finally got somewhere with their long time crush.
"What's up with you?" Duck butt asked his dobe.
"Hm...ah...well, I don't...um, how do you feel about Sakura?"
"Feel? She can be annoying."
"Don't say that!"
"You asked."
"That's not what I meant. You don't like her at all?"
"Nope."
"Are you sure?"
Duck butt rolled his eyes, indicating his annoyance.
"Just checking because...well...I made out with her..."
"Finally."
"Thanks, Teme. Anyways, why are we here?"
"Meeting Hinata."
"Oh?"
"School project."
"Oh..."
"What?"
"Um...well...she confessed to me two years ago, but I never had the chance to reply...I couldn't find a chance to properly let her down."
Duck butt really wondered about his friend sometimes. What was he going to do about this newfound knowledge. Is that why she approached him at the party? Using him to get to dobe? She's not like that right? Was she still waiting for an answer? Why did he even care?
"Hi Naruto-kun, Uchiha-San." Both boys turned. The girl looked at them. No one moved.
"Ano...I'll be over there when you're ready to start, Uchiha-San." She didn't question their odd reaction. Seems to be the norm of late whenever she saw either one.
"Sorry about earlier." He said when he sat down across from her.
"It's alright, Uchiha-San."
"Sasuke."
"?"
"Just call me Sasuke."
"Ooo...ok, Sasuke-kun. Here my research on our company." She handed him a report as they discussed their project.
"How's your brother? Is he back yet?"
"Itachi? No, he'll be back next month...how did you know?"
"He told me."
Sasuke narrowed his eye. Contemplating how to process her answer.
"We talk at those boring dinners. I never see you there." She said as if reading his mind. "You should come next time."
"But you said it's boring."
"It'll be less boring with you there."
"Are you confusing me with someone else?"
"Haven't you been talking this whole time?"
"...it's different..."
"It's the same."
"You're starting to nag like Naruto."
"His method works."

"I look forward to seeing you there."

Tenten wiped her wet hands on the kitchen towel as she finished washing the dishes. She took her aggression out on the cups and now they're unusually shiny. Better the objects than the boy she wanted to pound.
"All finished?"

Four eyes looked at each other. Two big and round. Two lazy and squinted.
"What?"
"You-your-your face!" She pointed.
"What about it?"
"You're pretty!"
Four eyes looked at each other. Two curved into crescents. Two slightly enlarged.
"...cough...cough...cough..." Tenten laughed at his awkwardness.
"Hana-Chan was right. We would have mob of girls here every day. Although, that would increase business. What do you think? Just show your face every once in a while?"
"..."
"Hahaha Boss, do you have a fear of women?"
"..."
"Or...you rather attract the boys? Your mole will definitely do the trick."
"..."
"Ok, ok, ok, I'll stop. Hahahaha" Tenten couldn't help herself. It is the first time she's seeing her boss without his mask.
"I'm glad you're feeling better."
"Ah, just a little."
"So...what happened?"
"Where to start..."
Tenten proceeded to recount from the recent events then she looped back to the beginning and finished with the middle.
"So...It's not really my place to say anything. I just told Sakura that she should let Hinata know and define what it is she and Naruto got going on...I mean, it wouldn't be fair to Naruto if Sakura doesn't give him an answer. I might be mad at the guy, but...you know, there's no real bad guy when it comes to fighting for love...plus they're all my friends. I want them all to be happy."
She smiled at her boss.
"Thanks!"
"I didn't say anything."
"I know, but you listened. That helped." He gave her a small smile.

A/N: What do you think? I like writing with Tenten, she seems like a friendly and level headed person compared with some of the other characters. Maybe it's because their back story is too tragic.
