Meanwhile…inside GH as many people as possible are being escorted outside. Several floors have been cleared. The elevators to the top two floors are shut off as a precaution if a bomb went off it would be easier to evacuate by the stairs. The top floors are considered to be the executive boardrooms and the COS office. One bomb went off shattering windows in the boardroom. Anna's phone rings and she is given an update. "One bomb went off before I could get to it, but there is a second one I just diffused. There is no word yet on causalities, but other bomb squad personnel are on-site and I think I need to leave before someone might see me. Where should we meet for a debrief? (pause), okay, I'm taking the backstairs and will meet up with you in about 30 minutes. I am so sorry for the losses. I wish I'd gotten here sooner." He quickly leaves as remaining staff members return to help in the melee and help the bomb squad identify casualties.

Laura has arrived on-scene and runs into Kevin's arms before turning to Bobbie to hug her. She has spoken with Anna and has received an update on the loss of lives at GH. She collects herself before turning to face the press.

Meanwhile…..

Peter says, "by now half of Port Charles should be burning, so the focus will be away from us Maxie. We can leave and no one will know we are gone. Say goodbye Jason Morgan", as Peter aims at Jason.

Maxie yells out, "no goodbye Peter!" as she picks up the gun Cameron dropped and empties it into Peter. Peter lets go of Spinelli and he falls to the ground, his eyes are rolled back. Maxie screams out in pain and Elizabeth rushes to her.

"Are you in labor?" Maxie nods. "Spinelli, get over here and hold Maxie's hand." She gives a quick exam while Jason checks to make sure Peter is dead and then calls 9-1-1.

Jason asks, "have you delivered a baby before?"

"Not by myself, but I was in the room when Emma was born, but if I recall you told me you helped deliver Morgan. I think between the both of us we can do this."

Maxie screams, "for the love of God, just get this baby out of me now!"

Elizabeth checks Maxie again and tells her to push. Sam has arrived and Elizabeth tells her to support Maxie's back. "Okay Maxie, one more push! Cameron look around for any towels." Jason is next to Elizabeth and Cam hands over the towels. Elizabeth is wiping down the new arrival as she lets out a wail at the same time sirens are heard. She places Maxie's newborn daughter in her arms. "Congratulations Maxie!"

Spinelli kisses Maxie's forehead and says, "you did it!"

Cameron hugs his mother and says, "before today I never fully understood everything you do"

Elizabeth gives him a love tap on the back of his head and says, "you aren't getting away that easy mister. You don't go running off and taking a gun with you and before you make any excuses, you are not Jason."

By now emergency has taken away Maxie, baby, and Spinelli riding with them. Jason thanks Sam and holds on tight to her. Sam says, "you haven't heard the news yet?"

Elizabeth replies, "only what Peter said about bombs, and is it true?" By the look on Sam's face, she knows it's bad. "Who?" Elizabeth asks.

"You both should sit down for this. I've already called Robert. Mac is on his way to see Maxie and Robert should be here soon to take statements."

Elizabeth raises her voice and asks, "what aren't you telling me, Sam?"

"Well…..maybe you should wait for Robert.

Meanwhile….Dante has been transferred to Mercy and the injured at GH made it down to the emergency room and were tended to. Six body bags were loaded and brought down in the service elevator to avoid the clamoring press.

Robert is headed to take statements from Elizabeth, Jason, and Cameron. Sam is sitting next to Jason holding his hand. "I know you don't want to be here, but you did nothing wrong. You were trying to help Maxie, Spinelli, Elizabeth, and Cameron."

A few feet away Elizabeth is sitting in silence with her arm around Cameron and holding his hand in her other one.

Robert parks his car, but before entering he makes a phone call. "I need your help. I know this is asking a lot, but we have a patient who I can't trust with anyone else. Can you make arrangements to come out and evaluate him and determine if he needs surgery? He's been taken to Mercy, (pause) I understand you will need to cancel some patients, but can you do it? I don't suppose you could bring…(pause) no, I understand, maybe later. I'm sorry, I'll let you go, but you should follow up on the news in PortCharles. I'll wait for your response" He makes another call. "Anna, I need to update and take statements about Peter's death. I know it is a difficult time, but let me take a load off for you. Mac has to be with Maxie and if you are finished at the PCPD, you should be at General Hospital."

Robert enters the cabin where everyone is waiting. Robert looks to Sam and asks "did you tell them?"

"No, I figured it would be better coming from you", she replies.

Robert asks everyone to stay seated. "The bomb threats are over, but not without injuries and casualties. My understanding is Peter confessed to killing Franco and placing the bombs. Jason, you are off the hooks for these."

Elizabeth says, "Robert please, Sam isn't saying anything and I can't access the news."

Robert sighs and says, "alright, alright. Mac, Chase, and Nikolas have suffered minor injuries. Mac is already by Maxie's side. Dante survived severe head trauma and is in a coma at Mercy's. A specialist should be here soon. Sam, you said you thought Dante was programmed. After Dante's surgery, I recommend he be treated by Kevin."

Jason for the first time since Robert arrived speaks up. "You said there were casualties, who?"

Robert replies "seven so far; Cyrus Renault, Brando Corbin, Obrecht, her daughter Britt, Ava, Finn, and Scott Baldwin." Elizabeth gasps upon hearing about Ava and Scott. Ava was not her favorite person, but Franco cared about her, and Nikolas was married to her. She is also close to Finn, Violet is her niece. Anna will probably have to break the news to her. She holds Cameron closer. He lost a parent and a grandfather. That's too much for anyone, especially a 17-year-old boy. Jake and Adien will also be crushed.

"Robert, does Laura know? I don't want my boys to find out from the press."

"Yes, she knows and wants you to stay with her."

"No, I want to pick up my boys and go home together." She turns to Jason and he holds her tight in a hug. She whispers, "I am so sorry for doubting you. Thank you for helping me get to Cameron." She thanks Sam for getting the coordinates to Jason. "Okay Cameron, give me back my keys. We are going to get Jake and Adien from Grandma Laura."

Robert watches Elizabeth & Cameron drive away and Jason follows Sam behind her on his bike. Jason makes a mental note to get Spinelli's car back to him. Robert's phone rings, "Scorpio here, oh, thanks for getting back to me so quickly. (pause) you can? Great! I'll get Mercy to send you his scans so you can review them on the plane. I'll have a car waiting for you."

Across town paperwork is completed and "I's" are dotted and "t's" are crossed. Anna says, "thank you. You saved a lot of lives today."

"I'm very sorry I wasn't able to save Finn. I've heard he was a great guy."

Anna sniffles and smiles sadly, "yes, he was". I need to head back to General Hospital and identify his body. Robert should be back soon, he broke the news to Elizabeth, Cameron, Jason and Sam after they got Maxie and her baby in the ambulance."
