"I assume this sort of thing is not normal for Easter," Ziva said, hopping onto her desk to stop her from squishing the crowd of bunnies that had taken up residence on the floor.

"Not outside of movies, no," Tony confirmed, backing himself in the corner so he was also not the cause of any casualties.

You see, bunnies were squirmy little creatures when they put their minds to it and of course Abby had been holding as many as she possibly could. This had the rather unfortunate side-affect of her literally spilling the bunnies onto the ground when she tried to rescue the original escaping one. Who knew where that went now.

"Nobody squish them!" Abby commanded, looking rather frantic. "McGee! Don't wheel around!"

McGee froze at her shout, having just about to push his chair back so he could get up from his desk. Ziva spied the problem.

"There is a bunny just behind you," she informed her teammate.

And there was. It was just sitting behind him, twitching its nose, completely oblivious to how close to death it had just come. Now, Ziva had seen many (too many, probably) dead and mutilated bodies but that did not mean she wanted to see a dead and mutilated bunny body. No thank you, that was something she could do without.

"We need to catch them!" Abby said, panicked. "I can't lose them!"

"And how are we supposed to do that?" Tony asked.

"Catch them!"

"How fast can rabbits be?" Ziva asked as she carefully climbed down from her desk.

She had good reflexes, incredibly good reflexes. Surely she would be able to catch them. This should be easy.

"Bunnies!"

The answer was that bunnies could be pretty fast. She lunged at a second one and she got closer to it, her fingers actually brushing its ears. But she still missed. Make that very fast.

"Tony! Help her!" Abby demanded, making wild grabs at whatever bunny came near her with no luck.

"If our resident ninja can't get them why do you think any of the rest of us could get them?"

"Tony!"

"Alright, alright. I'm getting them, I'm getting them," he grumbled, standing up from his chair.

"Careful!" she shouted as one hopped vaguely towards him.

"You either want me to stay away or you want me to catch them," Tony said but he took a step away from the bunny.

He tried to grab one. The operative word being tried there. It went without saying that he failed. He also solidly crashed into McGee's desk, which was very satisfying to witness.

However, in the next ten or so minutes they all made fools of themselves in their attempts to capture the fluffy creatures. You would think that mere bunnies would not get the best of three federal agents (well, two federal agents and a Mossad officer) but they did. Repeatedly. It was incredibly infuriating. And more than a little embarrassing, not that Ziva was going to admit to that.

"At least she didn't bring in chicks." Tony grumbled. "They would be impossible to catch."

"One chicken always ended up getting squashed when my class was brought to a farm," McGee recalled.

Tony eyed him warily. "What sort of little psychopaths did you go to school with, McChickadee?"

"Not on purpose," McGee spluttered.

"What ever you say, McMurderer."

"You killed chicks, McGee?" Abby asked in an injured tone.

"I never killed any chicks!"

"I am going to kill some bunnies if I cannot catch then," Ziva said darkly, glaring at the deceptively cute creatures.

She would not be thwarted by creatures with teeny tiny noses that twitched and fluffy ears! She wouldn't!

"You aren't killing any bunnies, Ziva," Tony told her.

"Watch me."

She did not have to catch one to kill it, after all.

"Ziva."

That was a bit grotesque, was it not? And she would have to deal with Abby...

"Oh, okay, fine."

It didn't mean that she had to be happy with it, however. Did bunnies have to move so much?

"Catch them!" Abby shouted, dancing from foot to foot.

She had been doing very little of the actual catching herself, Ziva had noted.

"We're trying, Abs," McGee told her, knocking over a stack of papers in an attempt to move quickly.

Eventually they each managed to catch one. Ziva was extremely happy that she managed to do it first out of all of them. She quickly passed it over to Abby, not wanting to be in possession of it for any longer than necessary.

"Should we really be giving these back to you without some way to contain them that isn't your arms?" Tony asked, still looking slightly disgruntled that he had been the last to retrieve a bunny.

Unfortunately, there were still bunnies on the loose. About the same number again. And these were the sneakier ones.

"I can hold them!" Abby said indignantly.

"That hasn't exactly held up, has it?"

Abby pouted at him but sighed in acquiescence.

"Why don't we each hold two and bring them down to your lab?" McGee suggested. "I'm sure we could fashion them a pen or something."

"I was going to put them in my office before I made my detour here," Anby confessed.

"Perfect," Tony said briskly. "But we need to catch the bunnies first. I can't believe how many times I've said bunnies today. I'm a grown man."

"You can do it," Abby encouraged.

Ziva was not so sure. The bunnies seemed to have the upper hand.

"Maybe if we cornered them together?" she suggested.

"It should not take three adults to catch one bunny," was Tony's opinion.

"Do you have any better ideas?" McGee asked.

He didn't, so they were going with hers. And it worked, even if it did look more than a bit ridiculous. But Ziva didn't care about that roght now, all she cared about was removing these creatures from the bull pen.

This method proved to be successful in rounding them all up and they were soon each holding two bunnies. They were rather soft and sweet looking...

"Do you even know how many bunnies you had?" Tony asked, glaring at his.

"This has to be all of them," Abby said, giving them a brief once over. "Now, down to the lab!"

They did make a rather odd parade but at least the bunnies would be gone.
