the night went great for blaine; people were putting cash in his jar; everyone was up on their feet dancing. well, almost everyone. a boy, who looked not much older than himself, sat at a table in the corner of the room, hardly even paying attention to the party happening in front of him. or to blaine.

as he finished his last song of the night, the boy was still sat in the corner, looking bored. "san can you put my guitar in it's case?" he asked after wheeling the piano back to the corner of the stage. santana nodded and blaine started to walk over to the blue-eyed boy. he slipped into the seat opposite him. "hey!" the boy looked up at him, "do i know you?" blaine extended his hand, "blaine anderson," he said, smiling.

KURTS VIEW

the night had been going horribly for kurt. he wondered why he let quinn and rachel drag him to such a busy place. kurt had struggled with social anxiety almost all of his life and this huge amount of people in the bar made him extremely nervous. there was a reason he hadn't gone home, though. not because of his friends' request from him to have fun; it was because of the singer. he had a beautiful voice that made kurt's heart swell up with joy; his gorgeous honey eyes which kurt could see from the back of the club; his curly hair which seemed to fall in place perfectly; his angelic voice which filled the whole bar. he sighed wistfully as he took another sip of his diet coke. trying to take his mind off of the beautiful boy on the stage, kurt stared at the wall in front of him; doing his best to look as uninterested as possible, but really he was tapping his foot along to the song coming from the boy on stage.

as the performer's final song came to a close, kurt looked down at his drink. he felt bad that he hadn't donated anything. c'mon kurt, you can't worry about this. he's just a singer; lots of people have donated. plus that'll only make quinn and rachel think they got me to have fun when i was so much happier at my- "hey!" his thoughts were interrupted by someone sitting opposite him. oh my god it's the boy from the stage, kurt knew he had to play it cool. "do i know you?" he replied, trying his best to seem uninterested but freaking out from the inside. kurt quickly glanced over to see if rachel or quinn were looking it him, they weren't. the other boy in front of him quickly extended his hand, "blaine anderson." kurt smiled and took the hand, "kurt hummel, a pleasure to meet you." blaine smiled back, "likewise."
