I don't own Danny Phantom or My little pony friendship is magic
It was about an hour later and the main six and Spike were quietly talking in the main room of the library. Angel was at home now that Danny was on the mend. Suddenly a scream could be heard from upstairs. "Danny!" Twilight and Fluttershy exclaimed. The two mares and Spike quickly ran up the stairs.
When they got there they found Danny in the middle of a nightmare. Twilight rushed over to wake him. She began to shake him while saying "Danny...Danny...wake up Danny." Danny woke up with a gasp. Noticing he was crying Twilight brought him into a hug. Rubbing the back of his head Twilight was saying gentle words to him. "It's ok. I've got you. Your safe Danny. There is nothing to fear. It was just a nightmare." She continued like that until Danny calmed down.
"Now that you've calmed down do you want to talk about your nightmare?" Twilight asked. Danny nodded saying "I do but I think I should tell you the rest of my story first. Otherwise the nightmare won't make sense. She nodded then Fluttershy asked "Are you sure your ok Danny? Your shaking." It was true he was shaking. He nodded and said "I will be. I guess that nightmare really got to me." Fluttershy smiled walked over to him, began rubbing his main, and said. "It's ok we'll be here for you." Danny smiled back and said "Thanks that means alot to me."
Twilight seeing his shaking had stopped asked. "Are you ready to come downstairs Danny. We have some friends here who would love to meet you. It's also very important that these friends of ours hear your story too. That is if you don't mind."
"I don't mind. You said it was important that they know. Plus Clockwork told me my powers and ghost form would not have to be a secret here. I'm just...nervous. I've had to keep it a secret so long I'm afraid to reveal it for fear of negative reactions. You know what I mean?" Danny explained.
They nodded and Fluttershy reasured him. "It'll be ok Danny. Our friends are sure to love and accept you." "Yeah and I'm sure they'd want to be friends with you too. I mean we are all your friends already right Spike and Fluttershy?" Twilight asked. They both nodded. "Thanks again I could really use some friends right now. So should we go downstairs now?" Danny asked. The three of them nodded then they all went downstairs.
Danny had a little trouble walking at first not used to walking on four legs. He quickly got the hang of it by watching Twilight and Fluttershy. Walking down the stairs however was more difficult. He nearly tripped a couple of times but, taking it slow he made it down. Seeing all the ponies in the room Danny was suddenly overtaken with shyness. He quickly hid behind Twilight much to her surprise.
Quickly realizing the problem Twilight turned around, leaned down to his height, and quietly spoke to him. "Danny it's ok no need to be shy. We're all friends here. I know your nervous but, none of us will turn you away or hurt you I promise." Danny gave her a small smile. He didn't know her very well but, the way she treated him reminded Danny of his sister Jazz. Realizing this and, remembering Clockwork's advice to find her in the first place Danny felt like he could trust her. So he nodded and slowly came into view of the others.
Out in the open Danny quickly took the other ponies in. One was a sky blue pegasus with a rainbow main and tail up in the air above everyone's heads. Another was a white unicorn with an excellently styled purple main and tail. The third looked like she could barely contain her excitement. She was pink in body with a crazily curly darker pink main and tail. The final pony was light orange with a blond main and tail. She had hair ties on the end of both her main and tail. She was also wearing a brown cowboy hat.
Taking a deep breath Danny worked up his courage and said " Hi umm I'm Danny Fenton. It's nice to meet you." They all smiled and began to introduce themselves. "Hello Darling I am Rarity" the white unicorn began. "Hi I'm Pinkie Pie" the pink pony said excitedly throwing confetti around. " Hi I'm Rainbow Dash the fastest flyer around" the sky blue pegasus said proudly. "Howdy Sugar Cube the name's Apple Jack. Pleased to meet ya" the orange pony finished.
Feeling a little more confident Danny followed Twilight, Fluttershy, and Spike to join the girls and, they all sat with them around a table. Twilight took charge and began to speak. "Alright everypony we are here to not only introduce you to Danny but, to also hear his story. You already know how Fluttershy found him, brought him here and we took care of him. However what you need to know is the contents of the letter Danny had with him as well as the rest of his story. Which will be told by him. I know you all have questions and, will most likely want to try to interrupt due to curiosity, confusion, and surprise. However to answer your questions and ease your minds it would be best if there were no interruptions. Is that alright with you all?" They all nodded.
"Alright then I'll begin with the letter" began Twilight. [For the contents of said letter please see chapter 2] As she read the letter Danny could tell the girls were estounded and, haveing trouble stopping themselves from interrupting. He did however pay attention to what she read since he fell asleep the last time.
When she finished the others couldn't take it anymore and burst out at the same time. "Ghosts are real and Danny's half ghost that is awesome" (Rainbow Dash). "Golly Sugar Cube that's amazin" (Apple Jack). "Oh my a hero and at such a young age quite impressive" (Rarity). "Gasp a ghostly super hero in equestria? This calls for a party" (Pinkie Pie who threw confetti everywhere again).
"So your not scared of me or think I'm evil or something?" Danny asked a little timidly. "Of course not Sugar Cube. What's made ya think that?" Apple Jack asked for them. "Well I wasn't thought of as a hero by everyone in my old home. I guess I'm just scared of getting the same reaction I got from them here" Danny explained. The girls and Spike looked at eachother worried. Then Twilight spoke up "Danny I think it's time to fill us all in on the rest of your story."
Danny nodded and said "OK but it would take too long to tell you every adventure I've been on. So I'll just tell you what you need to know now and, tell you the rest another time. But first may I have some water please I'm thirsty?" "I'll get it." Spike said and rushed off. He returned quickly setting the mug of water on the table in front of Danny. "Thanks" Danny said to him. "Not a problem" Spike replied. Quickly figuring out to put his hoof through the handle of the mug Danny took a quick drink sat down the mug and began his story.
Danny began with who his parents were, what they did for a living, there feelings and, a few theories on ghosts. He told them a few things on his soon to be known ex best friends Sam and Tucker and, his sister Jazz. He told them about the ghost portal and how he got his powers. The girls and Spike had trouble containing tears and looks of horror at that point. He told them how he first started to become a hero with his first fight against the Lunch Lady ghost. He told them about Vlad and how he became a half ghost too, what he used his powers for, and how they became enemies.
He told them about Walker and how he made his town his prison by makeing it look like he held the mayor hostage and why. He told them about Freakshow and how he took control of him and forced him to steel and, how the two incidents made the town split on weather he was good or evil. He told them that his parents didn't know he was half ghost, why he didn't tell them, and how they hunted him. He told them about The Guys In White. He was a little reluctant to tell the next part which they all could tell but, kept quiet and let him tell them in his own time. Danny worked up his courage and finally told them about meeting Clockwork and the whole incident with Dark Dan. Danny started to tear up a little but he continued on. He finally told them of his friends and parent's betrayal, The Guys In White's involvment, being rescued by Clockwork, and being sent here and why.
Danny's tears were falling down his face as his story ended. He was looking at the table too afraid to see their reactions. But he couldn't stand not knowing so he asked them. "I know Clockwork said I wouldn't turn into Dark Dan but, does hearing my story change your minds about me? Twilight and Fluttershy brought him into a hug as he cried. Then Twilight spoke for them "Of course not. Your just a colt and your a hero. You didn't deserve what happened. It wasn't your fault either. Rest assured you will have a safe and happy home here with us. From now on we will be the friends and family you deserve right everypony?" "Right!" they all replied.
"However if you don't mind Danny I need to tell Princess Celestia about you. She is my teacher and she and her sister Princess Luna rule over Equestria. Therefore it's vital they know your story. Rest assured the Princesses are very wise and kind. So I don't believe they will reject you." Twilight explained.
Danny slowly looked up at her and, saw love, friendship, and trust in her eyes. After thinking about it for a moment he said "Alright Twilight I trust you. You can tell them." That made Twilight hug him tighter. They let go of him seeing he felt better then Danny continued the conversation. "Umm I have a question though. I remember Clockwork commenting on something in the letter called cutie marks. I was wondering what they were?" They explained that cutie marks were symbols on their flanks. They were earned when ponies discovered their special talent and what makes them special. As examples they showed and explained their cutie marks. Twilight's six pointed stars meaning magic. Rainbow's cloud and rainbow bolt meaning racing and the sonic rainboom. Fluttershy's butterflies meaning her talent with animals. Rarity's gems meaning gem finding and being a fashionista. Pinkiepie's balloons meaning her talent as a party planner. Last but not least Applejack's apples meaning her talent for apple farming.
Danny looked at his own cutie mark and thought out loud "Hmm maybe mine has to do with my talent for astronomy and other things that have to do with outerspace." "That's a wonderful talent Danny." Twilight told him. "Really thanks." Danny said smiling. Twilight had a question of her own. "So Danny did you have magic in your home world?" "Not that I know of why?" Danny answered. "Because Danny the letter said you were transformed into what you would have been born as if from here. Which is in fact a Unicorn. Since you are a Unicorn now that means you have access to magic and, since you had none in your previous world I'm willing to teach you how to use it if you'd like." Danny smiled and said "Really that'd be awesome thankyou!" She giggled at his enthusiasm. Then Fluttershy uncharacteristically said with confidence "Speaking of teaching him things. When Danny is better he should be signed up for school." The others agreed. Then Danny asked "Umm I was kind of wondering. "Where exactly am I supposed to live." They all looked at eachother and came to a silent conclusion. "Well Danny we talked about that while you were asleep and, found that the best place for you to stay if you want is here with Spike and I." Twilight explained. Danny nodded his agreement and they moved on to other topics.
"Umm now that that's settled I was hoping you all could maybe help me with something?" "Sure thing Sugar Cube what do you need?" Apple Jack asked. "Well I was thinking since I'm basically starting over maybe it would be appropriate to start my fresh start with a new name. I was thinking a name that was appropriate for a pony to have. Also one that represents both my forms. Since I sorta have a name picked out to represent my ghost form. The name being Phantom. And how I'd like that to be the second part of my name. I was hoping you all could help me come up with the first part to represent my regular pony form."
They thought about it. Of course Pinkie being Pinkie was spouting off names left and right that really wouldn't work at all but, were honestly funny. Then looking at his cutie mark Twilight got a brilliant idea. "I know how about Midnight Phantom. Midnight representing your cutie mark?" The others all liked that idea and waited for Danny to mull it over in his head. "You know what I like it." They cheered and Twilight said "Welcome to your new home Midnight Phantom."
