Shorter chapter the next one should be a little bit longer.

Percy POV

When I pulled in I saw that no one was there except for the one worker who was in the one spot for employees only. Once I parked and put my car into park I looked over towards Bella. "How about we just have fun for now, we can finish having our serious talk on the way back home. That work?" I ask

I look towards her and for the first time see a genuine smile. We both excited the car and went into a old building where the white paint was starting to peel. We both ordered a pizza before we sat down in one of the five booths at the small little pizza parlor. We sat across from one another and I saw my cousin looking down at her soda and I noticed just how stressed she looked. The part that hurt was I knew I was the cause of this new found stress.

I knew I was asking a lot but I also knew it had to be done. I ripped off the top of the paper that was covering my straw careful not to damage the rest of the paper. I quickly blew into the straw and saw the paper from the straw that was once around it now shooting forth and hitting Bella straight in the face. She looked towards me and smiled before she grabbed the paper and crumpled it into a ball and threw it right into my eye.

I had to admit for her not being one of the most athletic kid out there she sure knew how to aim. I saw a small smile creeping up onto her face and I knew that for a little while we could just pretend. We could pretend everything was fine and once more we were kids before we had to come back to the harsh reality of what I was asking and the seriousness that went along with it.

Three hours later

We ended up sitting and talking about anything and everything. Clearly I couldn't talk about my other life, however I knew I could tell her about some of the fun things I've done over the years. Of course I had to alter some things but I did my best to be as truthful as I could.

I was glad I was able to talk to her and spend this time but in the back of my mind I knew it was only a matter of time before I had to go. I checked my watch and saw that it was a little past 1:00 and that we still had something's to talk about along with an hour drive back to Forks.

It started to rain while we were in the pizza parlor however it was hardly a rare occurrence. It rained almost everyday around this area. "Let's get going" I start to say while looking out the window. "We still need to finish talking then I can take you wherever you want to go" I finish before getting up. Bella nods and she to gets up to leave with me. Even though we were parked close to the door we still got drenched by the rain.

Once we were in the car I turned so I could face her. "We need to finish talking Bella, and I don't want to be distracted. I know this isn't something you want to talk about but we both know we need to talk about it" I begin. I see the smile that once graced her face turn into a frown. "I need you to promise me you'll do as I ask of you. I will be here for a week, we can do whatever you want. Catch up tell me about everything that's happened since we last spoke. I can't stay if you say something." I finish.

I could see that she was hesitant and didn't want to agree. I knew she was struggling internally "I will do my best to stay in contact with you Bella. I'm doing this for all of our safety's. Please Bella" I say begging. She opens her mouth before she closes it again "You know your having me choose between family. Your asking me to either lie to everyone I know about you, or tell the truth and you leave. How is this fair to me Percy"? She says angrily.

My fave turns into a straight face showing no emotion. When has life ever been been fair I thought bitterly. Not only am I older and had more experiences then her but she doesn't have the blood that I have. She hasn't see what I've seen. She doesn't understand how me and her see fair differently. I couldn't be upset with her after all she had no idea about anything that's happened in my life.

I knew she wasn't a good liar but I also knew since nobody really knew me and her dad didn't know I was around he would just assume she was upset with something at school. "I know. For you no, it's not fair at all. I also know I shouldn't have to ask this of you. I shouldn't ask for you to pick one or another, but here I am asking anyways. I'm asking you to lie to everyone and I know that's one of the things you hate most. But I will try my best to tell you one day what's going on. I will try my best to come back soon and tell you everything so for now I'm asking you to lie Bella. You know as well as I do, I to am not one for lies. So you know I did not make this decision hastily, I did look at all the options" I say gently.

She looked down at her hands and we sat in silence for a few minutes which to me felt like hours. I had no idea what she was going to say, I knew she wanted me to stay but I also knew she hated what I asked of her. "Don't make me regret this Perseus. I won't say anything but if you leave before the week ends, or you don't say goodbye, or I don't hear form you for over four years, if I ever, and I mean EVER see you again I will never trust you again. I'm giving you another chance. Don't mess it up" she says sternly.

She was right, she was giving me a chance and I couldn't hurt her again. "I won't. We'll spend as much time together as we can before I go. That's a promise" I say. She nods and I give her a small smile "Let's go I should get you back since it's still another hour drive until your back" I say. She nod and puts on her seatbelt before I start the engine and speed towards Forks.

In all honesty I knew since she was so shocked to see me she forgot some questions that luckily she never asked such as my mother. I hoped she didn't think to much about it because I didn't know how I could explain to her that my mother was now gone. We talked more on the way back me mostly listening to what Bella's been up to since I last saw her. We were about 10 minutes from town now "Where do you want me to take you" I ask.

I see her look down at her hands and start to fidget "Let me guess the guys house you were hanging out with at school and giving me a glare" I guess. "He was not!" She exclaimed. "And yes I normally go over there for a little bit plus he's going to want to know who you are" she finished explaining. I nod and once we get to town she starts to point out directions to me. We pull up into a private house that is surrounded by trees. When I pulled up I turned off the engine and got out and went to Bella's side to open her door.

I saw her boyfriend standing at the door a ways away. I helped her out "I promise you I won't hurt you again" I whisper in her ear all while pulling her close to my chest. "Just promise me you will say goodbye" I hear her whisper back. "I swear it to you. I will take you out for dinner tomorrow night at 7. I'll pick you up here" I say. "Ok" "I'll see you soon. Remember if you need anything just call" I say before pulling back. I see her nod before she start to head towards the house. I look at the guy to see him staring right at me. I stare back for a minute before I get back in my car. Once I see the door close I speed off.
