Haruhi woke up to unbearable pain coursing through her body. She had many cuts along her arms and legs, some shallow, some deep. Also, she had been stabbed at least 2 times in each arm. Soon tears began to stream down her face as she quietly sobbed. She just wanted this to be over, to go back home to her apartment where her dad would be waiting for her, that is if her dad was still alive. She began to cry harder thinking of Ranka and how he died trying to save her. Her thoughts drifted to the rest of the club. She had no idea what was going on with them, if they were being harmed, or worse dead. Looking around the room to try to find something to use as a weapon or to help her escape, she began thinking of a plan. She would need to be fast about it, the man who stabbed her yesterday was tall and muscular, she wouldn't have a chance to overpower him. She knew she needed to be smart about how she was going to escape but she also knew her chances weren't the best. She would have to wait for the right opportunity to present itself.
Suddenly the man rushed into her room and he looked pissed. He held a knife and held a menacing glare in his eyes.
"Those damn brats had to go causing trouble again." He said aloud to himself, not caring if Haruhi was listening or not. She grew nervous as he walked towards her. She was already wounded badly but the man didn't seem to care. He plunged the knife into Haruhi's thigh, and she screamed as blinding pain took over.
"Shut up!" The man yelled at her, as he kicked her in the face. "I'm getting annoyed by your useless screaming."
Haruhi bit back her sarcastic response and tried to ignore the pain pulsing through her. Everything hurt and she had lost a lot of blood, too much to be healthy. She couldn't do anything except just sit there and hope nothing would happen and slowly fell asleep.

The boys were busy thinking about how to get out of their situation. They had half a plan but didn't know how to complete it, and it was very risky if something went wrong. They needed to get the button away from the man so they could escape their cell without Haruhi getting hurt even more. It was easier said than done. They had to be quiet and get the button without causing a commotion. So they waited for the perfect chance to attack. They found it when the man brought them their daily food. Honey had slipped out of his restraints earlier and helped get everyone else out of theirs. When the man walked in he quickly jumped at him and slammed a kick into his stomach, making him topple over. Mori was quick to deliver a chop to his neck to knock him out. They quickly took the button from the man and restrained him. Now it was time to find Haruhi.
They quickly left the room and quietly made their way down the hall towards the room that they had made the phone calls to their parents in. Mori and Honey entered first and took down the man who sat inside. Throwing him to the floor and knocking him out. The others entered in after them, looking at the monitor that sat on the desk. It was on, showing the room that they were previously in, the room Haruhi was in, and an outside view of the exit door. They assumed that the exit door was the one in the office that they were in and quickly made their way down the hallway to where Haruhi was, leaving behind Kyoya to call his private police to get them somewhere safe. When they entered, the man was holding a knife to the neck of a barely conscious Haruhi. She looked terrible, bleeding from several gashed on her body and paler than usual.
"Let her go, you're outnumbered," Tamaki stated, unusually calm and serious. Every one of the boys in the room was on edge, careful with their movements to make sure Haruhi wouldn't get her throat slit.
"You have no leverage over me boy." The man stated. "I could kill her right here and now and you wouldn't be able to stop me."
"Why would you kill her? There is no point in it?" Kaoru asked, trying to stall the man until Kyoya's men get here.
"Oh, but it would tear you all apart if you couldn't save her." The man snickered.
Mori glanced around the room, looking for an opening to attack the man without putting Haruhi into any more danger. He found that the man wasn't holding the knife with a light grip and was being cocky. Being subtle with his movements, he moved closer until he got close enough and lunged on the man, sending both of them to the floor. He made quick work with the man and knocked him out. Looking over at Haruhi, he saw that Hikaru and Kaoru were putting pressure on her wounds, though she still looked too pale. Mori thought about moving her towards the exit but decided not to in case it could make her injuries worse, she was bleeding enough as it is.
"Come on Haruhi, still awake," Hikaru begged her, afraid if she fell asleep then she wouldn't wake up again.
"Haru-chan you need to stay awake, at least until the medics get here." Honey said. He was the opposite of his usual self but no one cared, they were all worried about Haruhi at the moment.
"Haruhi please stay awake for all of us, we can't lose you." Tamaki cried.
Suddenly, Kyoya's men burst through the door with medics right behind them. They quickly but carefully put Haruhi on a stretcher and wheeled her out to a waiting ambulance. The others left the building and to a second ambulance to get their minor cuts and scrapes checked. As the medics were getting ready to leave with Haruhi they all heard a chilling sentence, "Hurry up, we're losing her!"

Kyoya was walking down the halls of his father's hospital, lost in his thoughts. Haruhi was in a coma, she had lost too much blood. By the time she had finished in surgery, her heart had stopped 2 times. Right now she was stable in a private wing in the hospital. Kyoya looked up and found himself outside of her room. Quietly he entered, it was empty except for the girl that lay in the bed, all the other hosts having returned home at the request of their families. They were hesitant at first, but he assured them that if anything were to change that he would let them all know immediately. He found himself next to the bed was frowning at the bandages that covered her body.
"Hello Haruhi, I'm not sure if you can hear me, but if you can I would like to let you know that we are all waiting for you to wake up. We know that there is a chance you won't wake up, but we all believe in you. Please don't give up on us and leave us, we know we cant replace Ranka-san but we want to help you." He said.
Kyoya meant every word that he said to her, he hoped that she could hear him. He also knew that there was a decent chance that she might not wake up, so he wanted to make sure in the case of her death she knew that they all cared about her. Kyoya quietly walked out of the room, going to find her doctor to talk with him.

Hikaru and Kaoru were the next to visit, both with something to say to the girl. It was Hikaru who entered the room first. He stood by the side of her bed, looking anywhere but her.
"Hey Haruhi, I miss you. I hope you wake up soon, its no fun pranking Tamaki without you around. I miss your bluntness that always messed with Tamaki too. Nothing is the same without you." Hikaru stated, close to tears. "Please come back to us soon." With that, he walked out of the room, and his twin entered.
"We all miss you Haruhi. It's like someone took a piece of our souls away from us without you. I have all the notes and things you need for school when you wake up so you won't be too far behind. I know that wouldn't want to be. It wasn't fair that it had to be hurt, if I could have taken your place, I would have, any of us would have. Please wake up Haruhi, we all need you." Kaoru finished, he was crying. He left the room to go find his twin where ever he went to the hospital.

Honey and Mori visited soon after. Honey wasn't as cheery as he usually was, and Mori's quietness didn't have the right aura to it.
"Hi, Haru-chan! It's me, Honey-senpai, and Takashi is here too! We wanted to say that we all miss you and want you to wake up soon. It's lonely without you around, not that Takashi doesn't keep me company, but it's different without you Haru-chan. When you come back you can have all the sweets you want, okay?" Honey said.
They stayed in her room for a while longer before leaving, talking to her without response and keeping her up to date with what was happening outside of her room. Eventually, they had to leave, but it wasn't without a goodbye from the both of them.

Tamaki was the last to visit her. He had little to no energy of his previous self. He kept telling himself that he needed to visit but couldn't bring himself to do so until now. He knew that with each passing day that the possibility of her not waking up was getting higher, and that he had to go now before it was too late.
"It's been a while Haruhi, we buried Ranka-san a few days ago. It was a small funeral, just the club and a few of his co-workers. They were wondering how you were doing. I didn't know what to tell them. It's hard without you, we are all struggling. Please come back to us soon." Tamaki was holding back tears as he left the room.

Haruhi awoke to complete darkness. At first, she was panicked but eventually, she calmed down. Looking around there was nothing but darkness, she was alone. It was too quiet for her liking, but soon she heard talking. It sounded familiar to her but her mind was cloudy and couldn't recognize the voice. It became quiet after a few minutes and Haruhi was left alone in the darkness. This continued for some time, hearing someone talking to her but she couldn't recognize it and be left alone in the darkness again.
After some time alone in the darkness, it began to get lighter. An orb of light appeared and Haruhi moved towards it.
"Haruhi it's time to go." A voice from inside the orb stated.
"Go where? Wait, Dad?" She was confused at first but eventually recognized the voice.
"With me and your mom, sweetie. It's time to let go and move on."
Haruhi was compelled to follow the orb but she was conflicted. She wanted to be with her parents but she would be leaving her friends behind. She thought about how she stayed in the darkness without a way out and grabbed the orb. Suddenly she was surrounded by warm light.

The whole Host Club was there when Haruhi flat-lined. At first, they were shocked and then panicked as the doctors rushed in to try and save her. Finally, they were anguished when they stopped working and pronounced her dead. Haruhi was a fighter and they didn't expect her to die. They were all sobbing, not even Kyoya was left with dry eyes. It was almost time for them to leave for school but not a single one of them made a move to leave. They had a funeral to plan for one of their closest friends.
