Rewrite of My Original Story Gabrielle Dubrinsky. This is a Vampire Diaries Story with my own Character. My Story centers around Gabrielle Dubrinsky who suddenly loses her parents and she must survive in the world without them. Along the way she finds out that she belongs to a family of Powerful Mages and that there are those who wants that power on their side.

3. Party In The Woods

Party In The Woods

[Mystic Grill]

[Gabrielle walks into the grill seeing how crowded it was and that there were also areas where you can play pool and other games. There was Tv to watch favorite sports teams and there was the Bar and she waits as a Waiter walks up and she was wearing a blue t-shirt blue jeans and she had a logo of Mystic Grill on it and she smiles.]

''Hey welcome to the Mystic Grill would you like a table? says Waiter

''Yes please says Gabrielle

Follow me says Waiter

(She follows the waiter over to an area where there was not much seating but only a couple of tables. The waiter places her menu in front of her as she sits down.)

''My name is Vicki Donavan and I will be taking care of you tonight so can I start you off with some appetizers and a drink? says Vicki

''Yes Um...(She looks at the menu choices and seeing all kind of burgers and appetizers ) ''I will have some cheese fries and a Coke to drink please says Gabrielle

''Good That's my favorite thing here the Cheese fries...I will be back with your drink and place your order in for your fries...says Vicki

Thank you says Gabrielle

(She smiles then leaves walking up to the bar and places the order on the bar for the cook and making her drink she takes out her sketch book begins working on her drawing when Vicki places her drink in front of her.]

''Here's your drink. So did you decide on what to order for dinner? says Vicki

''Um Yes I will have the Chicken Salad sandwich please since I'm getting Cheese Fries I will just get the sandwich with that says Gabrielle

''Okay I will put your order in and then it will be ready soon says Vicki

''Thank You says Gabrielle

[ Vicki walks away to place the order with the cook as she bumps into a Young guy]

''Hey Vick says Jeremy

''Working Jeremy says Vicki

[She arrives at Matt and Tyler's table. she places his food in front of her brother as she flirts with Tyler]

''Thanks, Vick says Matt

''[To Tyler] '' Do you need another Refill? says Vicki

''I'd love one says Tyler

[Vicki leaves the table] ''Please tell me you're not hooking with my sister says Matt

''I'm not hooking up with your sister. says Tyler

''You're such a dick says Matt

[Jeremy catches up to Vicki]

''Hey, what's your deal? I Mean, summer you act one way and then school starts and you can't be bothered says Jeremy

''Look, Jeremy, I really appreciate all the Pharmaceuticals, but you can't keep following me around like a lost puppy. says Vicki

''When's the last time you had sex with a puppy? says Jeremy

''Hey, keep it down. I don't want to tell the whole world I deflowered Elena's kid brother says Vicki

''Yeah, and deflowered and deflowered says Jeremy

''We hooked up a few times in a drug haze. It's over. You Gotta back off before you ruin things between me and Tyler. says Vicki

''Oh, come on, the guy's a total douche. He only wants you for your ass says Jeremy

''Yeah? What do you want me for? says Vicki

[She takes the tray of food that the person behind the bar set in front of her while talking to Jeremy seeing it was Gabrielle's order walks over to place her food in front of her. Gabrielle sets her book inside her bookbag then takes her food.]

''Thank you so much. says Gabrielle

''Your Welcome...enjoy says Vicki

[Vicki smiles then leaves as Gabrielle begins eating. Bonnie and Caroline enter the Grill and was talking about the two new people in the school]

''The Guy's name is Stefan Salvatore. He lives with his uncle up at the old Salvatore Boarding house. He hasn't lived here since he was a kid. Military family, so they moved around a lot. He's a Gemini, and his favorite color is blue. says Caroline

''You got all that in one day? says Bonnie

''Oh, please, I got all that between third and fourth period. We're planning a June Wedding says Caroline

[Bonnie looks behind Caroline and sees Gabrielle sitting alone eating and walks over to her table remembering the feelings she got when she touched her this morning. Gabrielle was chewing her food when she sees Bonnie and Caroline approach her table.]

''Hey...You're Gabrielle Dubrinsky you are also new like Stefan says Bonnie

''Yeah says Gabrielle

''I want you to meet my friend Caroline Forbes...she's been wanting to meet you all day says Bonnie

''[Caroline beams shaking Gabrielle's hand after she wipes it on a napkin. Bonnie and Caroline sit down in the two chairs in front of her.]

''Its been your first day and people has been talking none stop about you says Caroline

''I guess it's a small town everybody knows about everybody by now says Bonnie

''So I've been watching the news since Sunday and they been talking about a William and Lily Dubrinsky and wonder are you related to them since you have the same name? says Caroline

[Gabrielle smiles dies as she sighs sadly then looks at Caroline. Bonnie winces and bumps Caroline's shoulder.]

''Caroline says Bonnie

''I'm sorry what did I say? says Caroline

''It's alright To answer your question William and Lily Dubrinsky was my parents...[Caroline eyes widen in realization and closes her eyes in remorse] ''They were in a terrible car crash when we were moving here...I survived but they didn't and neither did the couple that ran into them... So they are dead says Gabrielle

''I am So sorry for bringing that Up Wow You just started moving here and you lost your parents...Are you living with any relatives here? says Caroline

''No...I don't have anymore relatives before my parents died...It was just them and my grandmother...My Grandmother died 2005 she died of cancer so it is really just me...I am currently staying in a apartment until my 18th Birthday when I can move into My Grandmother's old house says Gabrielle

''So they used to live here? says Bonnie

''My Grandmother was born here and she had my dad here...He grew up here, went to the high school then went to College where he met my mom and then a couple years later they had me...I'm an only child since my mom couldn't have anymore children...says Gabrielle

''[Caroline and Bonnie watch as Elena enter the Grill with Stefan. Caroline smiles then walks over to them she then points to Gabrielle's table then Elena and Stefan grab two more chairs and sits with them. Stefan smiles at Gabrielle who moves her bookbag to give them room.]

''Hey Gabrielle says Stefan

''Hi says Gabrielle

''This is great it would be great to know more about you both says Bonnie

''Yeah says Elena

''So, Stefan you were born in Mystic Falls? says Caroline

''Mm-hmm. and Moved when I was still young says Stefan

''Parents? says Bonnie

''My parents passed away says Stefan

[Gabrielle sighs when Elena and Stefan looks at her knowing it's still a hard subject to talk about.]

''I'm sorry. Any siblings? says Elena

'None that I talk to. I live with my Uncle says Stefan

''So, Stefan, Gabrielle. if you're new, then you don't know about the party tomorrow says Caroline

''It's a back to school thing at the falls says Bonnie

''[to Elena] Are you going? says Stefan

''Of course she is. says Bonnie

[They look at Gabrielle] ''Are you going Gabrielle? says Caroline

''I am not really good with parties...Not good with crowds says Gabrielle

''Oh...come on it would be so fun to get out and just relax for a while without letting sadness and grief get in the way...please come it would be a great way to hang out with you more says Caroline

[Caroline smiles taking Gabrielle's arm begging and Gabrielle sighs giving in] ''Okay...Fine I will go to the party. says Gabrielle

''Great...says Stefan

[Gabrielle looks at Stefan smiles a little wondering going to the party was a good idea with everything that has been going on lately with her.]

(Salvatore Boarding House)

(Stefan is taking clothes out for school when Zach walks in the room with a newspaper)

''You promised says Zach

[Zach Shows Stefan the newspaper article. Seeing Gabrielle's Parents and the couple that was involved in the car accident with them it also mentions of an Animal attack]

''This was an animal attack says Stefan

''Don't give me that. I know the game. You tear them up enough, they always suspect an animal attack. You said you had it under control says Zach

''And I do says Stefan

''Please, Uncle Stefan. Mystic Falls is a different place now. It's been quiet for years, but there are people who still remember. And you being here, it's just going to stir things up. says Zach

''It's not my intention says Stefan

''Then what is? Why did you come back? After all this time, why now? says Zach

''I don't have to explain myself says Stefan

''I know that you can't change what you are. But you don't belong here anymore. says Zach

''Where do I belong? says Stefan

''I can't tell you what to do. But coming back here was a mistake says Zach

[Opens a door. Pulls out a journal with what looks to be a really old picture of Elena. The writing under the picture says Katherine 1864]

[Mystic Falls High School]

[History Class]

[Tanner is teaching as he walks around speaking about the Battle of Willow Creek]

''The Battle of Willow Creek took place right at the end of the war in our very own Mystic Falls. How many casualties resulted in this battle? Ms. Bennett? says Tanner

''Um...A Lot? I'm not sure. Like a whole lot says Bonnie

''Cute becomes dumb in an instant, Ms Bennett. Mr. Donovan...[Matt looks up at Mr. Tanner] Would you like to take this opportunity to overcome your embedded jock stereotype? says Tanner

''It's okay, Mr. Tanner, I'm cool with it says Matt

''Hmmm...Elena? Surely you can enlighten us about one of the town's most significantly historical events? Says Tanner

''I'm Sorry, I-I don't know says Elena

''I was willing to be lenient last year for obvious reasons, Elena. But the personal excuses ended with Summer break. [Tanner looks over at Gabrielle who was writing in her notebook and looks up as he walks over to her.]

''How about you Ms. Gabrielle? says Tanner

''There were 346 casualties. Unless you're counting local civilians says Gabrielle

''That's Correct...What's your last name says Tanner

''Dubrinsky Mr. Tanner Says Gabrielle

''Dubrinsky. Any relation to the Original Family of Dubrinsky's here in Mystic Falls says Tanner

''My Great Great Great Grandfather was born here in Mystic Falls Sir...Everything I know about him was that he was of Aristocracy that's all I know so far says Gabrielle

''Hmm...Very good. Except, of course there were no civilian casuality in this battle. says Tanner

''Actually, there were 27, sir. Confederate soldiers, they fired on the church, believing it to be housing weapons. They were wrong. it was a night of great loss. The Founder's archives are, uh, stored in civil hall if you'd like to brush up on your facts. Mr. Tanner says Stefan

''Hmm says Tanner

[Everybody was impressed with Stefan and Gabrielle as they whisper among themselves as Mr. Tanner sighs returning to his teaching.]

[The Woods]

[Gabrielle arrives at the party and stops near some trees when she begins to feel nerves and literally can feel uncomfortable as she can feel everyone's emotions. She closes her eyes breathing in and out then she walks towards where a huge fire pit that was burning with fire seeing a cooler grabs a can of Cola opening it to drink it. She turns and sees Caroline who smiles seeing her.]

''Oh My god you made it says Caroline

''Well I said I would and so Here I am says Gabrielle

''Great...[She looks at the can of Cola in Gabrielle's hand] ''Do you not like to drink beer? says Caroline

''No I don't drink...My Grams used to when I was little...I decided I don't want to. says Gabrielle

''Well I am getting a beer...[She opens the cooler and pulls out a beer bottle and opens the cap then drinks it.] ''Hmm great...So how do you like Mystic Falls so far...says Caroline

''It's different...before I knew about Mystic Falls and My family living here...I used to live in Charlotte... My Mom had a business designing clothes. says Gabrielle

''Really your mom was a clothes designer says Caroline

''Yes...[She takes her Jacket off which was a Blue Jean Jacket pulling the tag on the back showing her mom's name on the tag.]

''My Mom's Logo is Lily's boutique. says Gabrielle

''Wow...Cool this jacket was made by your Mom says Caroline

''Yes. Basically all my clothes were made from her. [She pulls a necklace out of her shirt it was the blue diamond with a silver setting it had vines around it.] ''She made me this when I was 10 years old...I never go anywhere without it. says Gabrielle

''[Caroline smiles touching it then sees how it still a sore subject to talk about.] ''I am really sorry about your parents...says Caroline

''Me too...[Gabrielle smiles wipes a stray tear from her cheek and smiles] '' I still have memories and love for them in my heart all the things they taught me...I will try my best to get through the hard times...I got to says Gabrielle

''Yeah...If you ever need any help with anything with school or anything...I want you to call me or text me...Here let me see your phone I will give you my number and you can give me yours says Caroline

''Okay...says Gabrielle

[She takes out her Phone and hands it to Caroline and waits as she puts her number in there then she gives Caroline her number.]

''Okay now we can call each other...we can hang out sometimes too. says Caroline

''I'd would love that Caroline says Gabrielle

[She smiles feeling relieved that she has made a new friend and that maybe moving to Mystic Falls isn't so bad now.]

''Well I'm going to go hangout with people so You can hang around here if you want. says Caroline

''Okay. says Gabrielle

[Caroline walks away as Gabrielle turns back to look out into the night at where the Water falls is when she sees a man standing near the edge of the woods staring at her with such silver blue eyes and she shivers with it as she feels the cold coming from him. She blinks and then finds that he is gone. Elena and Bonnie walk over to Gabrielle seeing how she was still looking everywhere]

''What's wrong? says Elena

''Nothing I thought I saw someone but I guess it's just nothing...Hey you guys came says Gabrielle

''Yeah we did...[Bonnie looks around for Stefan]'' So Where is he? says Bonnie

''I don't know. You tell me, you're the Psychic One. says Elena

''Psychic says Gabrielle

''Bonnie can somehow see and predict things like a Psychic would...says Elena

''Really interesting says Gabrielle

''Right, I forgot. Okay, so give me a sec. Grams says I have to concentrate. says Bonnie

''Wait, you need a crystal ball. says Elena

[She looks around and picks up a bottle. Bonnie takes it and touches Elena's hand. Bonnie spaces out for a while, comes back to her senses, and abruptly pulls her hand back.]

''What? says Gabrielle

''That was weird. [She looks at Gabrielle then at Elena] ''When I touched her, I saw a crow. says Bonnie

''What? Elena

''A Crow. There was a fog, a man. I'm drunk. it's the drinking. There's nothing Psychic about it. Yeah? Ok, I'm gonna get a refill says Bonnie

''Okay? Bonnie! says Elena

[Gabrielle watches Bonnie leave as she looks at Elena who shrugs her shoulders then turn to find Stefan standing in front of them. She freezes in shock.]

''Hi. says Stefan

''Hi. says Elena

''I did it again, Didn't I? says Stefan

''Yeah. says Elena

''I'm sorry. Are you upset about something? says Stefan

''Oh, uh, no, it's-just Bonnie. She's...you know what? Never mind. You're here. says Elena

''I'm here. says Stefan

[Gabrielle smiles on how they like each other and that she feels like she is in the way as Stefan turns to her.]

''Hey Stefan...Um I will leave you two alone...I will just go over by the falls...says Gabrielle

''Okay...says Elena

[She smiles a little then walks away. She manages to walk around some people that were standing around the bridge and she slowly walks across to the walk way to the falls. She sighs sitting down on a huge rock she puts her hands in the pocket of her jean jacket and pulls out her wallet which had her Parents picture in it and she traces there faces talking to Caroline about them was a little hard without breaking down. She hears a trig snap and she turns her head beside her to see the guy that she saw eariler and sighs.]

''Hey...wow you sure know how to sneak on people says Gabrielle

''I'm sorry that I scared you says Guy

''It's okay. Says Gabrielle

''[He smiles looking her over then sits down next to her on another rock.]

''The Falls are sure beautiful at night aren't they? says Guy

''Yes they are...says Gabrielle

''So you don't like parties I see says Guy

''No...Ever since I was a small child I have never been comfortable around crowds of people. [He looks at her in concern seeing how purple her eyes are as she speaks.] ''Loud noises I just like the quiet sometimes. says Gabrielle

[He smiles a little then puts his hand out for her to shake] ''I'm Damon Salvatore...What's your name? says Damon

''Gabrielle Dubrinsky! Wait Damon Salvatore...are you related to Stefan Salvatore? says Gabrielle

''He's my little brother...I just got into town yesterday. My brother doesn't know I'm here...Dubrinsky...Are you related to Original Dubrinsky? says Damon

''I had a Great Great Grand Father who originally came to Mystic Falls My Grams told me the story of him when I was little that we have Aristocracy in our line.[Damon was surprised as he looks her over again] ''I don't know all of our history my parents and my grams passed away before they can tell me more. Says Gabrielle

''I'm sorry about you losing your family...[Damon listens to Stefan who is coming up the bridge with Elena and decided to cut things short] ''It is really nice to meet you Gabrielle hopefully since you will be living here we can talk some more but I got to go so I will see you later says Damon

[He takes her hand and kisses it then walks back the way he came which was cutting through the woods. Gabrielle looks at her hand where she felt the same coldness in his hands that she felt from Stefan's hand wondering what was it about both of them that was different.]

[Woods Near The Party]

[Tyler and Vicki were making out in the woods]

''No, Ty. I'm not having sex against a tree. says Vicki

''Oh, come on, it would be hot says Tyler

''For who? No, it's not going to happen. It's not going to happen. not here, not like this. No. I said no. I said no! Ow, that hurts!

[Jeremy appears]

''Hey, leave her alone! says Jeremy

''You know, you're starting to get on my nerves, Gilbert says Tyler

''Just go, Tyler, get the hell away from me says Vicki

''Wow. Vicki Donovan says no. that's a first. says Tyler

[Tyler leaves] ''I didn't need your help says Vicki

''It seems like you did says Jeremy

''He was just drunk says Vicki

''I'm drunk. Am I throwing myself at you? says Jeremy

''No, you're worse. You want to talk to me, get to know me, see into my soul and screw and screw and screw until you're done with me says Vicki

''Is that what you think? says Jeremy

''That's what I know says Vicki

[Bridge by the Party]

[Stefan and Elena are talking at the bridge]

''I like Bonnie, she seems like a good friend says Stefan

''Best friend in the world says Elena

[They can see Caroline, Bonnie, Matt and Gabrielle standing across from the bridge. Gabrielle says something to Caroline who nods then turns back to talk to Bonnie. Matt keeps staring at Elena and Stefan.]

''And Matt, he can't seem to, uh, take his eyes off of us says Stefan

''Matt's that friend since childhood that you start dating because you owe it yourselves to see if you can be more. says Elena

''And? says Stefan

''And then my parents died, and everything changes. Anyway, Matt and I, together we just, I don't know, it wasn't, um...it wasn't...says Elena

''Passionate? says Stefan

''No. No it wasn't passionate...[Stefan's eyes start to change] ''Hey, um are okay? Um...your eye it just it's-says Elena

''Oh, um...yeah, no. It's, um, its nothing. Um are you thirsty? I'm gonna get us a drink says Stefan

[He leaves]

[Woods Near The Party]

[Vicki is walking alone in the woods after she left Jeremy. Around her Fog descends around her as she continues to walk around, then behind her a Man comes out of the Fog behind her. She turns around to see he wasn't there.]

''Jeremy? Is that you?...[She turns around and continues to look around but doesn't see Jeremy...Then feeling like there was something behind her she turns back around when she is suddenly grabbed then a sharp pain in her neck as she was attacked.]

[At The Party]

[Gabrielle gasps when she suddenly gets a vision in her head of Vicki the waitress that works at the Grill that she met last night was suddenly attacked something was biting her neck and then the shadow drops her on the ground...She hears yelling coming from the woods...She snaps out of her trance and sees Elena and Jeremy carrying Vicki over to some tables.]

''Somebody help! says Elena

''Vicki? Vicki, what the hell? says Matt

''What happened to her? says Tyler

''Somebody, call an ambulance! says Matt

''Everybody back up, give her some space! says Tyler

[Gabrielle moves through the crowd grabbing her bag looking through it for some wipes she moves people out of the way.]

''Here...Press this to her wound...it should stop the bleeding long enough for the Ambulance to get here...says Gabrielle

''It's her neck. Something bit her. She's losing a lot of blood and it's bad says Elena

[Elena looks at her seeing how pale she is and that she was slowly applying the wipes to Vicki's wound. She was not able to see what Gabrielle was really doing as a small little light was coming from her hand making it where the wound was healing a little bit.]

[Salvatore Boarding House]

[Stefan runs through the front yard and into the house seeing Zach sitting at his desk]

''What's going on? says Zach

''Someone else was attacked tonight, Zach, and it wasn't me. [He runs up the steps and into his bedroom. A Crow flies through his window and balcony then he turns to see a Man standing there.] ''Damon. says Stefan

''[He smiles] ''Hello brother. says Damon

''Crow's a bit much, don't you think? says Stefan

''Wait till you see what I can do with the fog. says Damon

''When'd you get here? says Stefan

''Well, I couldn't miss your first day of school. Your hair's different. I like it. says Damon

''It's been 15 years Damon says Stefan

''Thank god. I couldn't take another day of the Nineties. That horrible grunge look? Did not suit you. Remember, Stefan. it's important to stay away from fads. says Damon

''Why are you here? says Stefan

''I miss my little brother says Damon

''You hate small towns. It's boring. There's nothing for you to do says Stefan

''I've managed to keep myself busy. says Damon

''You know, you left that girl alive tonight. That's very clumsy of you says Stefan

''Ah. That can be a problem...for you says Damon

''Why are you here now? says Stefan

''I could ask you the same question. However, I'm fairly certain your answer can be summed up all into one little word...Elena. [He smiles] ''She took my breath away. Elena. She's a dead ringer for Katherine. Is it working, Stefan? being around her, being in her world? Does it make you feel alive? says Damon

''She's not Katherine. says Stefan

''Well, let's not hope not. We both know how that ended. Tell me something, when's the last time you had something stronger than a squirrel? says Damon

''I know what you're doing, Damon. It's not gonna work. says Stefan

''Yeah? Come on. Don't you crave a little? says Damon

[Damon starts hitting Stefan in the head and pushing him.] ''Stop it. says Stefan

''Let's do it. Together. I saw a couple girls out there. Or just, let's just cut to the chase...that Dubrinsky girl...yes she looks really tasty let's go straight for her says Damon

''Stop it says Stefan

''[Stefan's face transforms] ''I can. says Damon

''I said stop! says Stefan

[Stefan runs into Damon, throwing him out of the windows. When he lands on the pavement, Damon isn't there.]

''I was impressed. I give it a six. Missing style, but I was pleasantly surprised. Very good with the whole face...thing. Roarrr...it was good says Damon

''You know, it's all fun and games, Damon, huh? But wherever you go, people die. says Stefan

''That's a given says Damon

''Not here. I won't allow it says Stefan

''I take that as an invitation says Damon

''Damon, please. After all these years, can't we just give it a rest? says Stefan

''I promised you an eternity of misery, so I'm just keeping my word. says Damon

''Just stay away from Elena and Gabrielle says Stefan

''Where's your ring? Oh, yeah. sun's coming up in a couple of hours, and, poof, ashes to ashes. [Stefan looks worried as he looks at Damon know that he has his ring.] ''Relax. it's right here [Damon waits as Stefan takes back his ring then his face turns to his vampire face then grabs Stefan by the throat and throws him against the garage.] ''You should know better than to think you're stronger than me. You lost that fight when you stopped feeding on people. I wouldn't try it again. I think we woke Zach up. [Damon walks towards the house whistling.] ''Sorry Zach says Damon

[Gabrielle's Apartment]

[Gabrielle opens the bathroom door after taking a shower she has a towel around her head and body as she takes her underwear from her dresser and puts them on and then putting long t-shirt and shorts on and then takes the towel off her head then combs through her long hair when she hears a knock at her door. She looks at the time on her phone then unlocks the door and opens it to find Damon Salvatore at her door.]

''You are Damon says Gabrielle

''Yes it's me...I've been worried about you since what happened with that girl in the woods and wanted to make sure you were alright. says Damon

''Um yeah I am...thank you for worrying about me...I didn't know anyone knew what apartment building I lived in. says Gabrielle

''Well I asked around to the people that knew you and just wanted to check up on you...[He looks her over and smiling with interest then he turns around to leave.] ''Well know that I see that you are alright I will say goodnight and I will see you around. says Damon

''Thank you Damon Goodnight says Gabrielle

[She shuts the door after he leaves and then sighs against the door felt like she was out of breath just feeling the emotions coming off him and then finally decides to just go to bed and think about everything in the morning.]
