So here's some things on why I made certain decision in the world building.
First, I wanted to include trains, because I think it's a cool, yet annoyingly long way to travel, preferably with overthinking thoughts, or loud friends.
Second, I put western food there, to play up the "Cloud is mimicking the US a bit" , and I can make the same reason why I put in sex education and a more laid back attitude to this as well.
Thirdly, I changed Shi's age, making him younger by two years, honestly, I don't really have a good reason for that, I just felt like I could deal with an age gap of 8 years and not 10 years
Fourthly, when Sakura goes to Kumo first, I thought it was around May/June, and in the second Chapter being March/April, fun fact, Sakura's birthday is on 28th March, While Shi's 3th April, and Naruhina wedding was at Sakura's birthday, so it would be a bit before their birthdays. Now to clear the weather issue, I imagined the weather being more among the lines of how is it in the UK (I only learned this in school, never been to the UK myself, sorry if it's not correct) that in May/June is more warm, while July/August could be more rainy.
Fifth, their heights, I know in the few fanarts they are in, Shi is made to be taller, but in the official site, his height is 172 cm, while Sakura's is 165. Now I'm actually in similar height difference with my partner, at it doesn't look as big of a difference as the fanarts make it out to be.
Sixth, this was my first try at smut, but I didn't wanted to use condoms, so I made up a birth control jutsu for this, and the way it works in my mind, is that it stays effective for maybe less than an hour.
Seventh, I know that it seems the relationship are moving fast, but to be honest, the Canon Naruto ships where also really fast, having babies when the characters were around 21, so it felt okay in this fic, obviously in real life, buying a house together at 10 months is not that okay
Eight, I have no idea where Sasuke/Matsuri came from (like I said, 3 am fever dream), I just knew I didn't want him with Karin, and Matsuri felt a weirdly fitting option
Ninth, There is not much known on Shi's background, but I imagined that his dad already passed away, maybe in the battlefield, and him only having a mom, and also not coming from a clan, since his fighting style didn't give kekkei genkai or clan jutsu vibe for me
Tenth, I intentionally avoided the blood thing when losing virginity, since in practice or real life, if someone lives an active lifestyle (and ninjas are definitely active) then the hymen usually breaks sometime around that activity, sometimes not even leaving blood trace behind. I just didn't want to contribute to the virgin blood myth.
