3- Not the Bell Test

She continues in her soft voice, "can I train with you after the ninja Academy?"

Smiling, I say, "yes, you can, after all you have done for me." Then she quickly looks away, and at this point, I feel like she likes me.

Naruto N. POV

I am in the office of Hiruzen Sarutobi. Sitting next to me is my father, but he thinks I am his half-brother, and he is my half-brother.

Hiruzen just got finished telling a story about me. I am a traveling ninja who likes to help people on the road. Occasionally, I come to the leaf to say hi to Hiruzen. The past couple of years, when I was gone, I let my hair grow out. When I came back to see Hiruzen, he notices how much I look like Minato. Hiruzen wanted to do a DNA test to make sure.

"When I discover that I have a half-brother, I decided to stay in the village to get to know him."

My good friend Hiruzen, "sign me to team 7."

Minato took the information; he nodded and then smiled. He says, "good to have a family after the killing of the clan. It is good to know that I am not the last one left." he finished with clouds over his head and eyes.

"You are never alone," I say with a smile, trying to make him feel better.

He smiles slightly and says, "thanks." a moment pass then he continues, "I am happy for having a brother. And I now know my mom did escape the massacre."

We begin to talk about our family, just until someone clears his throat. "Minato, your team is meeting up in 20 minutes. After you meet with your team, I would like you to help Naruto to get an apartment."

Minato. I do have a meeting with the other sensei afterward.

"Not you, but you know someone on your team, good at picking out living space or at less can help get a discount for Naruto," Hiruzen said.

Minato lookup in ask, "which housing branch is it?"

I look over at the old man to see him smile and nod. he then says, "you should get going to your team and do not underestimate Naruto." He finishes off smiling at me. "And look at the paperwork. It doubles in this conversation."

Minato and I body flickered on the bridge. In front of me is the team of team seven before me.

On the left side of the bridge is kid Kakashi Hatake sitting by himself. He does look like a kid, but anyway is set; he looks come and relaxed and in a comfortable position. But focus and ready to go on the defense or attack. However, I can sense some pain in him.

Looking over on the other side, I see someone jump up in the air. After he landed, he screams, "My name is Obito Uchiha, and I will become the greatest Hokage you have ever seen, just you wait!"

I was like that back in the day. Wait, I am not old enough to say back in the day. I found an older man laughing at me in his office, and I thought he say he has paperwork to do. I do know the correct chakra flow to break it. I did tell my abilities, but it is better to see them.

Obito is loud and out in the open. But I can notice that every time he moves his weight or jumping in the air. He always has a good starting point to defend but not much to attack.

Maybe he was holding back in the Academy?

If so, it is a good idea your enemy will underestimate you.

"Just like me." I thought, and at the same time, I skip into my mindscape.

"No, Naruto, all of that was just dumb luck."

"Shut up, let me have my moment."

"What I am saying, it just dumb luck, and you can have your moment with that."

"Get out my head, nine tails."

"You came in here on your own allow me to help you get out of here." He then pushes out some of his chakras and pushes me out of my mindscape.

After getting rudely kicked out of my mindscape. I say to Obito, "on the path to becoming Hokage, you must put in the work, and there is no easy path to become Hokage."

Obito thankfully stops talking about becoming the shocking ninja in the land and says, "you sound like an old man." What was odd because I was like that.

I laugh at the irony of the situation.

A moment later, I say, "what I am trying to say by my old man wisdom is put in the effort, and you can have the opportunity to become the Hokage."

After that, I hear a small giggle from the only girl on the team. Looking in Obito's most defensive area is the only female of the team covering of cheek with one hand. I felt a little bit of chakra flowing off her hand into her cheek.

The chakra makeup felt like Sakura when she was learning the basics of healing.

She took the hand covering her cheek and did acutely wave. I smile back and say, "Hi, my name is Naruto Uzumaki, and I will be joining your team starting today."

"Uzumaki? Are you related to Kushina Uzumaki?" Rin asks in shock, and I felt Minato raise an ear due to the question. I felt a little bit awkward about his reaction.

"Most likely yes because we do have the same last name." I say with a smile, "it's not every day you hear someone part of the mighty Uzumaki clan still alive."

A moment of silence. They all thought about the last war and the surprise attack against the Uzumaki clan. But I stand there awkwardly. (AN2)

After a moment, I say, "do not feel sad. What is done is done. And changing topic let us introduce ourselves. I have already met Minato. Thanks for Obito introducing himself, but I do not know my other teammates."

But I can feel my new teammates feel how sad I was about my family and my clan.

"Hi, my name is Kakashi Hatake; good to meet you." He says with an eye smile, but Kakashi was guarded. He is depressed about his father but not depressed about his entire team being dead. Yet, stop it, Naruto. Wait, maybe I can help.

Naruto, be careful; I do not know if the timeline can be changed or if we can be erased from the timeline?

'Shut up, Fox, you know me too well.' I felt the Fox holding in his laughter.

Fine, do not take my help. I will go back to thinking about this situation we go in.

I hold in my laughter just like the Fox in went out of my mindscape. And I say, "good to meet you too, Kakashi Hatake." I say with a smile.

Kakashi just nodded back at me.

I look over at the only person who has not to introduce herself.

The girl, or Kunoichi, slowly move end away from her cheek. I notice slight redness on her skin; chakra quickly left the skin. I do not think they fight before the sensei get here to see them, but something hurt her.

"Uh… My name is Rin, and I am training or what to be a doc… I mean a vet." She says a little bit nervously

Good to meet you, Rin; it is good to have something you are training for. I say with a smile as well, trying to make her feel better.

Minato steps in and says, "now we need to do a test to see if Naruto can be on the team."

Obito grunted and said, "sensei, we know the meeting behind the bell test."

Minato smiles evilly and says, "that why we are not doing the Bell test."

AN2: We do not know what truly happened to the Uzumaki clan, so the clan was attacked in the Second Great Ninja War in this story.
