A/N 1

I decided in true D&D fashion to decide who's partner by dice roll. I will be going through their meetings based on the order in which they were paired up together. Team's were also decided this way although I am choosing the leaders.

For Initiation they were being launched off of cliffs. Well it was certainly a method of randomizing the partners as far as Lie Ren was concerned. Wherever he ended up he could only hope that he ended up on the same team as Nora. Honestly, he didn't think anyone else could handle her… Energy. Still, he reasons that for the time being it is far more important to make a successful landing. Still during his time on the run with Nora he had been in more dangerous situations and so as he passed a branch. Lie Ren used the blades on his weapon Stormflower to launch himself a bit further. If he knew Nora then she would have likely tried to make it as far as possible before trying to find him.

Unfortunately for Ren, it would appear that Nora was not the only one who would try to fly as far as possible as he lands right behind someone new. Looking ahead of them Ren could see an Ursa on it's back for a few moments when the new persons fist crashes into its head, a shotgun blast sounding out as she makes contact. Ren doesn't have anything against new people, but is still a bit disappointed to not be partnered with Nora from the start.

"Oh, hey! I guess this makes the two of us partners huh." Yang says turning around. A part of her is still worried about her little sis. She wasn't exactly the best at meeting new people and already she was on bad terms with Ice Queen. Still, when it came to a combat setting like this Yang was pretty sure Ruby could handle herself. If there had been one thing she learned in the spars she had with her sister it was that Telekinesis was broken in a 1v1. The second thing was that even without it Ruby was pretty good with her scythe.

Ruby rolled her eyes when she was launched, what did she have to worry about? Her telekinesis could let her fly for crying out loud. Albeit it wasn't very fast. She could toss people around no problem, but when she tries to use it on herself she goes slow as can be. With that in mind she lets herself get close to the ground before slowing to a stop. Still now that she is down she has no time to lose as she begins searching for her sister calling out her name. It's not that she wouldn't want to partner with anyone else, Jaune had seemed nice, but maybe not the best in a fight. She knew that she didn't want to partner with Ice Queen, she was just so mean!

Still as Ruby ran she was slowed down by her new outfit. After losing track of Torchwick during the robbery she had come to terms with the fact that it might not be the best idea to completely forsake the use of her extra eyes, even if it was weird that she had them. So Ruby had made sure that her new clothes were a bit… floatier. It was mostly a distraction so that she could stick her extra peepers through the sleeves for more visibility. It was like riding a bike she thought, ignoring that she had never successfully ridden a bike, or any vehicle of any kind where she was the driver. It seemed to work well however as she caught sight of something black coming her way. It was moving fast and a single eye didn't have the best depth perception so she turned ready for a fight while retracting the stalks, only to be surprised by what was rushing towards her. This surprise turned to confusion when the person quickly grabbed her and put a hand over her mouth before quickly taking both of them to a tree.

"Don't move, we're being watched." Came the whispered warning. Now Ruby was on high alert once again sneaking her eyes out to look around, but not spotting anything yet.

Blake was scared, the watchful presence had not appeared again when she woke up and all through the initiation preparation. Even during the launch things had been fine, but shortly after she landed it had intensified greatly. She could tell it wasn't looking at her at the moment, but whatever it was, the thing was certainly looking for something and it was close. Blake knew that her best odds were to find someone to partner up with and fast. As she moved through the trees she spotted a splash of red in the Green and Brown forest and decided to hedge her bets dashing straight towards them.

For a second she was worried she had been spotted by the entity as the focus seemed to intensify on her for a bit and to her surprise the girl she had found actually turned to face her. This not being the time for subtlety she quickly grabs the girl and pulls her against a tree before warning her of the hidden danger. For a minute the gaze seems to intensify on the surroundings only to gradually die down. Whatever was watching was still in the area, but it didn't appear to be interested in them.

"I don't see anything." The girl in red said. Ruby, Blake remembered her name now.

"I think it's gone, or at least isn't interested in us." Blake sighs even some of the strongest of Atlas security hadn't triggered her danger sense so heavily. She quickly catches her breath before realizing she should apologize for her rough actions. "Sorry about that, I felt like I was being watched and wanted to be prepared if anything… attacked."

"Aw don't worry about it. Blake right? I guess this means we're partners then!" This gets a small laugh out of Blake as the presence seems to move further away. Still watching, but not interested in them.

"I guess it does."

Weiss was very unhappy with the partner she had been left with. The original plan had been so simple, she just needed to find Pyrrha and partner up with her so that the two of them could be the best partners in beacon. Instead she had ended up with the worst of partners. That black haired girl may have been rude about her family name, but it was clear she was qualified to be here. That blonde bimbo had been loud and told her off just because she had gotten mad at her sister. Heck even that child would have been a better partner as at least she had had the decency to apologize after nearly blowing the both of them off the cliff. It pained her to admit it, but even that blonde idiot who had hit on her this morning could have been a better partner than what she was stuck with.

"Come On! Let's go find that temple!" The hyperactive Nora called before dragging her new partner and backup best friend off.

Wiess continued lamenting her fate. Of all people to be partnered with, why did it have to be this crazy girl and who could possibly get her under control.

Jaune was having the worst day. It was also quite possibly his last he thought as he continued cartwheeling through the air on his way to a pancakey doom. The day hadn't started out great either. He had tried acting cool to impress the ice princess, but had ended up pinned to a locker for his trouble. At least he had met the face of his favorite brand of cereal, but that seemed like poor consolation for his current imminent fate.

Perhaps that thought occurred too soon however as he suddenly found himself yanked by his hood. Soon he was embedded in a tree with the wind knocked out of him. Still he does recognize that the thrower is probably the same person from this morning and after calling out a breathless thank you and the sorry he got in response confirmed it.

Pyrrha felt like this was a great start to the day. She had been a bit nervous when talking with Weiss as it seemed like she was more interested in their collective fame rather than becoming friends and that is what Pyrrha came here to do. Beacon was supposed to be a fresh start still her fame had followed her. It wasn't unexpected, but she was hoping to be a little less well known when she started here.

Fortunately for her it wouldn't stay like that and she quickly found someone who had no idea who she was. Jaune seemed like a nice person if not very confident, but when she found out he didn't know who she was he quickly became someone she wanted to get to know. Her pinning him to a locker probably wasn't the best first impression, but hopefully helping him with his landing would be a better one and as she made it to his location the two shared a smile. It would seem she would have the chance to befriend this nice boy after all.

And so the partners are formed. I already know how the teams are going to be partnered up, but I figured I would keep that separate. Technically adding the team JNPR and RWBY tags is now inaccurate, but I am going to have the teams work closer so I will be leaving them.

Please leave reviews if you have suggestions, complaints or recommendations. Also should I keep using dice to decide certain things.

Are you happy with the partners? I expected at least one to be the same as the original, but I was not expecting the last two to be Pyrrha and Jaune. The universe has basically decided to keep them together so please address any complaints you may have about that or any other partners to the cosmic powers behind random dice rolls.
