Chapter 2: Meetings.

The next day, Stan and Felicia were at Walmart, checking out the latest stuff they had to offer.

"Hey, Mom, I'm gonna check out the toys." Stan said.

"Okay, Stan, just be careful." Felicia said.

Stan then went to the toy aisle and checked out all the cool merchandise. There were toys from the Incredibles, Pokemon, and of course, Spider-Man.

"Aw, no way!" Stan said, seeing that they had the new Spider-Man and Black Cat 2-figure pack. He took it off the shelf and went back to where Felicia was at, only to find she was gone.

"Mom?" he called quietly. No response.

"Mom?" he called again. He walked around looking for her before he bumped into someone. It was a woman with brown hair in a striped shirt and blue pants underneath a white coat.

"Sorry, ma'am. I wasn't looking where I was going." Stan said.

"That's okay. Are you lost?" the woman asked.

"Yes, I'm looking for my mom. She has blonde hair and wears a pink vest over a white shirt." Stan said.

"I'll help you look for her." the woman said. She then walked with him around Walmart looking for the woman that matched Stan's description before they heard someone calling, "Stan!"

They then saw Felicia. Stan ran over to her, "Hey, Mom! Where'd you go?" he asked.

"I came to look for you." Felicia said.

"Well, next time, at least wait for me a little longer." Stan said before he pointed with his thumb at the woman behind him, "She helped me find you."

"Thank you very much-Ashley?!" Felicia asked.

"You know me?" Ashley asked.

"Yes! I'm Felicia, Felicia Hardy!" Felicia said.

Ashley's eyes widened before she smiled, "I didn't even recognize you! It's been years, Felicia! How have you been?!" she asked.

"I've been great! How about you?!" Felicia asked.

"You know her, Mom?" Stan asked.

"Mom? Don't tell me that-" Ashley started.

"This boy is my son, Stan. Stan, this is my old friend from college, Ashley Kafka." Felicia said.

"Nice to meet you, Miss Ashley." Stan said.

"You too, Stan." Ashley said.

Then, Eddie and the two boys came up to Ashley carrying food.

"Hey, Ashley, we got what you asked for. Hey, Felicia?" Eddie asked.

"I remember you, you're that guy from the Daily Bugle. Eddie Brock, wasn't it?" Felicia asked.

"Right. I see you've already met my wife. These here are our kids, Eddie Jr, we just call him Junior, and this is Pete." Eddie said.

"Nice to meet you both." Felicia said as she shook their hands.

"Hello, ma'am." they said.

"So, what are you guys up to?" Felicia asked.

Ashley motioned for Felicia to listen close. When she did, Ashley whispered to her that she and Eddie had been separated after a battle with Carnage, who was one of her patients. However, sometime after, they were approached by somebody who helped them straighten it out, but she would tell more about that later.

"Right now, after finally coming back home, we're just looking for somewhere to stay." Ashley said.

"Well, why don't you stay with my family?" Felicia asked.

"Thanks, but we can't barge in on you like that." Ashley said.

"No, not at all. My house has several rooms. It's no problem. Believe me." Felicia said.

"Well, she says it's no problem." Eddie said.

"Okay then. It's settled." Ashley said.

Later, back at Felicia's house, the Brocks were getting settled.

"Thanks for letting us stay again, Felicia." Ashley said.

"No problem." Felicia said.

Sooner or later, the four of them had gotten settled and they were watching TV.

"So, how've things been around here?" Eddie asked.

"Pretty crazy. Would you believe me if I told you that the Spider-Man of this dimension left to search for Mary-Jane Watson?" Felicia asked.

"He did? Man, something crazy must have happened." Eddie said.

At that point, Dale walked in the front door.

"Hey, Felicia!" Dale said before he noticed the Brocks.

"Friends of yours?" Dale asked.

"Dale, this is my old friend from college, Ashley Kafka." Felicia said as Ashley walked over and shook Dale's hand.

"Nice to meet you." Ashley said.

"Pleasure." Eddie said.

"Hello." said Pete and Junior.

"Nice to meet you all." Dale said.

Some time later, Felicia inquired about how their encounter with Carnage went.

"Well, after we were separated, I continued my job at Ravencroft until I was approached by someone named Madame Web. She said she could send me to where Eddie was, but I would have to start helping the people of where he was." Ashley said.

"Turns out, this was one where Spider-Man had retired. Being a superhero had put too big a strain on his normal life. At first, I saw it as another reason to dislike him, but later, when I found out his reasons why, I grew to respect him. We started crime-fighting, got married, and of course, had these two." Eddie said, pointing at Junior and Pete.

"Once the other reality was at peace, we came back home through instruction from Madame Web." Ashley said.

A few minutes later, Stan was in his room, showing Pete and Junior his collection of Spider-Man toys and merch.

"Man, Stan, you have a lot of these things." Pete said as he looked at one of his Spider-Man playsets.

"Yeah, I especially like Black Cat. She's really cool!" Stan said as he held one of his Black Cat figurines.

"Kids! Dinner!" Ashley called.

"Stan, you are going to love Mom's cooking! She makes a mean dinner!" Junior said as they rushed to the kitchen. They saw a huge helping of mashed potatoes and steak.

"That does look good!" Stan said before they sat down.

"I hope you three like it. I got this recipe from my mom." Ashley said.

Stan took a bite and, before you know it, he had the whole thing scarfed down.

"Delicious! More, please!" Stan said.

Later, Ashley went to see Felicia as she tucked Stan into bed.

"Felicia, are you sure it's all right if we stay with you?" Ashley asked.

"Of course. After you helped Stan and especially after what you went through, it's the least I can do." Felicia said.

"Good night, Mom." Stan said.

"Good night, Stan." Felicia said.

Later, after Ashley had gone to bed, Dale was approached by Felicia.

"Do you think we should tell them? They did say they had an encounter with Madame

"Let's give it some thought first, and then we'll see." Dale said.
