On Today's Episode: Candy makes her last stand, bringing a much bigger army to the final fight alongside her trump card... a Sonic Mode suit?! Meanwhile, Nick and the boys once again face off with Corvus in hopes of forcing some answers out of the mysterious dark mage. It's a double-sided final showdown, and the stakes are high! Can the spies pull off a win on both fronts?
Episode 3: Blueberry Bonanza
Nick, Mat, and Blaine all stood down Corvus.
"It's three against one, pal," Mat remarked.
"Odds are we'll take you down!" Blaine exclaimed.
"Ha ha!" Corvus scoffed. "I've already given you a sample of my powers..."
"Hold the phone, guys," Nick told Mat and Blaine. "I think the only one who can take on Corvus is me..."
"You sure?" Blaine asked.
"He possesses powers similar to me," Nick pointed out. "I have the best chance, but that doesn't mean you can't sit back and watch."
"Good point," Mat replied.
"Let's rumble, Corvus!" Nick exclaimed as he flew forward to attack.
Corvus slammed his palms together and unleashed a dark pulse wave for Nick, who raised his hands to block it as best he could. Corvus took this opportunity to rush in while Nick's guard was down, aiming a dark blade straight for his chest.
To Corvus' surprise, however, Nick leaped to avoid the stab, forming a psychic blade of his own on his right hand and slashing downwards, leaving a gash in Corvus' cloak and forcing the dark mage to take a step backwards.
"Sorry, but that's not gonna fool me," Nick quipped, creating a psychic bubble around himself to protect him from the barrage of dark orbs that surrounded him. "Neither is that."
As Corvus prepared another attack, Nick snapped his fingers, which caused a bubble of golden light to expand from his hand and cover the hallway, freezing time for everything within the bubble but him.
Nick took this opportunity to strike, landing as many hits as he could on Corvus while time was frozen before leaping back to where Mat and Blaine were standing, snapping his fingers to undo the time freeze.
All of Nick's attacks caught up when time was resumed, sending Corvus crashing into the nearby wall.
"Why don't you just beat it?" Nick taunted. "You know you're not gonna win this now."
"Hmph," Corvus huffed. "I suppose I will concede for now. But know this, boy: this is not over."
"Yeah, yeah, that's what they all say in the end," Nick proclaimed.
"But, considering your efforts so far, I will be nice and give you a hint," Corvus laughed as he created another explosion of dark magic to conceal his escape.
But before Corvus had completely vanished, Nick heard three more words.
"Beware the Demiurge..."
Nick tucked those words away in his memory as he walked back towards Mat and Blaine, wondering if this so-called "Demiurge" was either an ally of Corvus or something else related to the core of his big scheme.
Mat then heard his DS ping after the battle had concluded. He opened to see Kana's visage appeared. "Kana, what's up?" Mat asked.
"Jerry says to return if Corvus got away," Kana answered.
"Why is that?" Blaine wondered.
"Conclude your training, Blaine," Jerry replied. "And RiCO is prepping things for the three of you for afterwards."
That caught all three boys by surprise.
6:00 P.M. – Mali-U Beach
The ten spies all looked around for Candy Sweet's whereabouts.
"All right, Candy, we're here to shut your plan down!" Haruka exclaimed.
"I hope you got a backbone in you to come face your fate!" Melissa proclaimed.
"...oh, crapbaskets!" Bridget shouted when she saw something.
"What?" Alex wondered.
"There's an even bigger army of cheerleaders out here, and unless my eyes deceive me, Candy's wearing a ripoff of my Sonic Mode suit!" Bridget angrily declared.
"Your eyes aren't playing tricks on you," Nozomi told Bridget. "Apparently Candy Sweet's trying to fight fire with fire!"
"Rules for villains, number seventy-seven," May quipped. "Use the good guys' tactics on them to keep them guessing."
"That's a good one," Dawn quipped.
"Can you annoying spies stop me now?!" Candy boasted.
"Well, we're definitely gonna try! You're not gonna get anywhere by cribbing off of our moves!" May proclaimed.
"And we're gonna prove that no matter what you try, YOU DON'T BEAT US!" Britney emphasized.
"Totally!" Sam quipped.
"We may be down three guys, but we're still unbeatable!" Clover exclaimed.
"Say good-bye to your army, too!" Klee proclaimed as she used her psychic powers.
She was able to stop the cheerleader army dead in their tracks.
"Now, you're OURS, Candy!" Sam exclaimed.
"Oh, is that a fact?!" Candy laughed.
More cheerleaders came out from behind Klee and attempted to dogpile on her, but Nozomi was quicker on the draw, firing her Cyclone Blaster Hairdryer and pivoting around so that the cyclone also swept away the other cheerleaders around them.
"Thanks for the assist, Nozomi!" Klee proclaimed.
"Always happy to kick some butts, Klee," Nozomi laughed.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the beach, Sam, Alex, and Clover were busy with another batch of cheerleaders, standing by each other and lashing out whenever one of them got close enough.
"Hey, grabby hands off, buster!" Alex shouted, judo-flipping one cheerleader to the ground before jumping and split-kicking two more away. "I have a boyfriend, thank you very much!"
"Then where is he?!" Candy laughed from the sidelines.
"We can take you without them!" Clover responded, spinning around to shake a few cheerleaders off of her. "While we love our boyfriends very much, we also have more than enough girl power to scuttle your schemes by ourselves!"
"That's right!" Sam exclaimed, sliding under a cheerleader before hopping back to her feet and knocking him away with a sidewinder kick. "So don't think we're pushovers without our men!"
Somewhere else on the beach, Dawn and Melissa were performing one of their favorite combinations, in which Melissa flew them around in the air with a Helicopter Hand Fan while Dawn used a Wind Tunnel 9000 to take potshots at anyone who tried to leap towards them.
"So sorry that you can't jump!" Dawn taunted.
Dawn would quickly eat her words when one of the cheerleaders actually did jump high enough to reach her. Dawn barely had time to shout in surprise before Haruka leaped upwards to tackle that cheerleader to the ground.
Elsewhere, being surrounded by seven different cheerleaders, May decided to improvise as she brought out, of all things, a Turbo Shovel 2.0, then jammed it into the ground and activated it. But instead of drilling downwards with it, May let the gadget spin her around and kick at any cheerleader who tried to get close to her.
After all, she knew her anchor probably wasn't suited for this particular part of the fight (she wanted to wait to bean Candy's face in with it, after all).
"Okay, girls, this doesn't seem to be getting us anywhere!" Britney exclaimed as more cheerleaders surrounded her. "No matter how many times we knock them down, they just keep coming at us!"
Bridget dive-rolled to the right to avoid a pair of cheerleaders trying to literally stomp on her, before kicking them away from her.
"Back off, buddy!" Bridget shouted. "Face me on the track before you try that!"
True to Britney's words, the cheerleaders kept getting back no matter how many times the spies would knock them down, and eventually the entire group was surrounded by cheerleaders.
"Well, well, I guess you couldn't handle them all, could you?" Candy laughed as her army slowly closed in on the spies. "Well, ladies, been nice knowing you!"
Before Sam could devise a plan of attack, her X-Powder suddenly beeped. She flipped it open to see RiCO smiling at her.
"Hey, Sam, you all having some trouble?" RiCO asked.
"To say the least," Sam admitted.
"Well, we've got some more of the antidote ready," RICO replied. "Everyone, aim your X-Powders towards the cheerleaders!"
The spies did so, aiming each of their X-Powders towards the encroaching cheerleaders. A moment later, a blue light erupted from each screen, culminating in a massive flare of blue light washing over the beach.
When it cleared away, the cheerleaders were all glancing at each other in confusion.
"Score one for us!" Alex exclaimed while Sam and Clover herded the no-longer brainwashed students to safety.
"W-what?!" Candy gasped. "H-How the hell did you..."
"How quickly bravado goes out the window when you're flat on your ass, huh?!" May shouted. "Now just give it up and make it easy on yourself!"
In response, Candy just smiled. "I think you forgot one little thing, you wretches," Candy laughed, pressing a button on her shirt and causing her Sonic Mode-esque suit to start glowing. "I still have my trump card to play!"
A few seconds later, Candy suddenly lunged for the spies at blinding speed.
"Sonic Mode, online!"
Before Candy could strike, though, Bridget had activated her own Sonic Mode to counter Candy's attack.
"I took you for many things, Candy, but the absolute last thing I ever thought you'd be was a ripoff artist," Bridget taunted.
"Hey, fight fire with fire, am I right?" Candy replied, dashing back a couple feet and preparing for whatever Bridget was going to do next.
"Girls, I've got this one," Bridget proclaimed, stepping forward.
"Are you sure, Bridget?" Sam asked as she, Alex, and Clover returned to the beach.
"Who better to take down a ripoff speedster than me, to show her how the master does it?" Bridget giggled. "Now, Candy, hope you're ready to watch a pro at work!"
"Bring it on, you brat!" Candy laughed.
With that, both Bridget and Candy lunged for each other at speeds that the spies had a hard time keeping up with, appearing to be only differently-colored blurs to the naked eye.
"H-Holy crapbaskets, look at them go!" Haruka gasped. "I thought Bridget was fast with Sonic Mode before, but she's taking it to a new level now!"
Klee, the only one of the spies here who could reasonably keep up with the speedsters due to her psychic powers, couldn't help but marvel at the sheer speeds they were reaching.
"We'd better stay alert, everyone," Sam proclaimed as the spies all thought of ways they could help out even while Bridget and Candy went head-to-head with each other at lightning speeds.
("Shattered Dreams" by Johnny Hates Jazz plays)
"Any ideas to beat Candy, Sammy?" Alex asked.
"I'm still thinking," Sam replied.
"We certainly would need Nick's services if we were to play a game of 'whack-a-mole' here..." Clover groaned.
"It's a little risky to do that," Britney deduced. "But it could work..."
"I think it might be our only chance if we play it right," May told the spy group.
"What do you propose we do?" Haruka asked.
"Maybe if we can find a weak point in Candy's Sonic Mode suit, we can cause it to discombobulate," Sam deduced.
"While they're running around like they were being chased by a ten-story dinosaur?!" Melissa chastised.
"That's why we got this to help us," Sam quipped, showing the Cyberjacker Sunglasses.
"And no doubt the Jetpack Backpacks," Britney quipped, catching on to Sam's plan.
"Exactly!" Sam remarked.
"I guess you want the rest of us to get Candy from ground level?" May asked.
"You can come with, May," Sam answered.
"What I wouldn't give to be jumping in the water at least once," Clover commented as the four main spies got airborne.
"We did that for most of the summer, Clover," Britney reminded. "But that time will come again next summer..."
"Totally, Clover," Alex added.
Sam put on the Cyberjacker Sunglasses to try to get a read on Candy's Sonic Mode suit. She wasn't able to.
"Girls, try to get Bridget to stop Candy Sweet in her tracks!" Sam told the others. "Five seconds is all I'll need."
"You got it, Sam," Nozomi remarked.
With that, Klee used her psychic ability to hack into Bridget's mind – why not, since she had the same psychic abilities as Nick.
Bridget, can you hear me? Klee mentally thought.
Bridget gasped while she chased down Candy Sweet all around the Mali-U Beach.
Holy crap, Klee, are you tapping into my thoughts?! Bridget thought.
I can thank papa for that, Klee thought. Sam wants you to get Candy to stop dead in her tracks so she can get a reading on her Sonic Mode suit – she thinks there's a weak point there.
Done, Bridget thought.
Meanwhile, up above, the main spies and May were still waiting patiently for Bridget to get Candy to stop dead in her tracks.
"Why all of this pointless running around?" Candy taunted as she changed course and started dashing towards the other spies.
Bridget, however, was already there to intercept, grabbing Candy by the shoulders and tossing her backwards.
"Why don't you just stand still for a moment?" Bridget taunted.
"What, and miss all the fun?!" Candy cackled, charging again to attack.
"Oof, this is actually making me a little dizzy," Alex stated, trying her best to follow Bridget and Candy even while they were zooming around the beach at incredible speeds that would put Dragon Ball Z fights to shame.
Bridget looked up towards where Sam was waiting, and she got an idea, dashing over to the other end of the beach and stopping in her tracks before waving two fingers in the universal sign of "bring it".
Thankfully, Candy took the bait and dashed towards her. Bridget did the same, but just as they were about to clash, Bridget ducked low and swung her right foot out, causing Candy to trip and go into a tumbling roll.
"Now, Sammy!" Clover exclaimed.
Clover's exclamation startled May a little just as she had summoned her trusty anchor, and she accidentally dropped it.
"MY ANCHOR!" May screamed, realizing she may have made a fatal mistake.
It turned out to be a blessing in disguise as May's anchor fell on top of the unsuspecting Candy Sweet. It landed on her upper back after Bridget had caused Candy to trip and fall. Now, she was trapped like a mouse in a mousetrap.
"Well, that certainly takes a load off my shoulders," Sam laughed as the five spies came back down to the sands.
Needless to say, Candy was certainly in visible pain from May's "accident." Although it wasn't necessarily needed, Klee put a psychic bubble around Candy Sweet and paged Jerry to pick up the apprehended cheerleader wannabe.
"Well, that was a lucky break indeed," Alex laughed, referencing May's "accident."
"I didn't even intend on that to happen," May proclaimed. "But hey, whatever works, right?"
"Nonetheless, we should return to W.O.O.H.P.," Klee told them.
"Yeah, hopefully Blainey's concluded his training," Clover quipped.
6:27 P.M. – W.O.O.H.P. Headquarters
"Lo and behold, Jerry, we have returned victorious!" May proclaimed as the girls stepped into Jerry's office.
"I saw from here," Jerry replied, gesturing to the Sonic Mode suit that Candy had been wearing lying on his desk. "Nicely done, everyone."
"See, I told Candy what must have been a hundred times," Bridget proclaimed. "You can't outspeed the pro."
"Hey, where'd the boys go?" Alex asked when she noticed Nick, Mat and Blaine weren't in the office with them.
"Sorry if we're a little late to the party," Nick laughed as he and the boys entered almost as if on cue. "We had a little trouble of our own to deal with while you girls were having all the fun."
"Was there trouble at the containment facility?" Haruka asked.
"Not this time," Nick answered. "It was actually Corvus."
"Wait, what was that rat doing in headquarters?!" Klee gasped.
"Honestly, we're not sure," Mat replied. "He kept showing up and blabbing about his plans, so we had to fight him off."
"We were just getting back from our second round with mister cloak," Blaine stated.
"Did you get any more hints about his sinister endgame?" Sam wondered as Kana ran up to hug her.
"Not much, but before he vanished, he mentioned something about a 'Demiurge'," Nick responded. "I have absolutely no clue what that's supposed to be, but at least we're getting somewhere with unraveling it..."
"Yeah, it hopefully shouldn't be much longer until the rest of my memories come back and we can put an end to this," Klee quipped.
"In the meantime, I think we should probably head back to Mali-U now that things are settling down," Alex proclaimed. "Thankfully, classes don't start until next week, so we can relax for a bit."
"I'm all for that!" Clover exclaimed.
"I'll do the honors," RiCO stated, activating a tunnel to send the spies back to Mali-U before gasping in surprise when she realized something. "Sorry, Jerry, gotta go!"
"It's quite all right," Jerry answered. "Go and say hello to your new friend."
RiCO smiled brightly before vanishing from the office.
7:32 P.M. – Malibu University
"Man, am I glad that's over," Sam quipped as the girls walked through the hallways of Mali-U. "That was quite the oddball case, and on our first day back at Mali-U, too."
"It's like Nick said, we've gotta be prepared for anything," May quipped. "And let's maybe stay away from any suspicious-looking snacks in the student lounge for a while, just in case."
"Say, Bridget, you said something about some cookies Nick made in middle school?" Melissa asked.
"Oh, man, if only you were there," Bridget giggled. "Nick was actually helping out with a bake sale to raise money for the track team back then, and he was apparently borrowing an old recipe his mom used to use back in her day. And holy crapbaskets, those were some of the most delicious cookies I've ever had in my life!"
"Sounds like we need to ask Nick about that recipe and hope he could make some for us, huh?" Alex laughed.
"Speaking of which, has anyone seen the boys?" Clover asked.
May would have answered if her attention hadn't been drawn to the pool room nearby, where she noticed three very familiar boys enjoying a very familiar-looking heart-shaped jacuzzi.
"I think I found them," May giggled.
"Well? Are you going to join us or what?" Nick teased.
That was all it took for Sam, Alex, Clover, Britney and May to switch into their swimsuits and jump into the jacuzzi with their boyfriends.
"Welp, saw that coming a mile away," Haruka laughed.
"Yeah, let's leave all the lovebirds alone for a bit, huh?" Nozomi stated. "After all, we've still gotta finish Klee and Kana's tour of Mali-U, right?"
"Oh, yeah, we never got to finish that!" Kana gasped.
"Sorry, you guys, that was my bad," Bridget chuckled.
With that, the remaining spies guided Klee and Kana through the campus while the couples enjoyed their time together. All in all, quite the interesting start to their second year at Malibu University.

Final Author's Notes from Mat49324: With that, our 34th project is concluded. We had a good time constructing this. Also, speaking to the ending, it was a bit of a reference to S5's WOOHP-tastic, even though that ended in WOOHP, and with a little distaste from my perspective because I felt the girls should've gotten a break there. Anyway, we're getting to year #2 at Mali-U, and that means the year 2008 in our Fanfiction series is soon. For now, it's Fall 2007 here. Anyway, we hope you're gearing up to prepare for our next project, Artificial Insanity, and that'll be authored by Nick. For now, here's The Blue Time Ranger for any final thoughts.
Final Author's Notes from The Blue Time Ranger: And that's a wrap for number thirty-four! What a way for the second year to begin, huh? I had some good times with this one, especially my idea for the final battle. The idea just popped into my head to give Bridget a battle of speed. And we're finally getting some more hints about Corvus' endgame that may be explored more when we get to the season finale, so brace yourselves for that.
Anyways, it's time to talk about the next chapter of Totally Spies: The New Adventures! You may have noticed that at the end of this, RiCO said something about "meeting a new friend". And in the next episode, we're going to meet that friend. And... well, this new friend may have been influenced by a new game I've been playing recently that I got for my birthday, so be ready for that. We'll meet this new friend in the next episode, Artificial Insanity, which will be posted by me. So, until next time, have a fantastic day, don't listen to the screeching morons, enjoy this preview of Artificial Insanity, and we'll see you next mission!

As the strange, spider-like creature advanced on her, RiCO leaped over it gracefully, firing a beam of aquatic-blue light from her hands. The beam flew downward and struck the viral spider creature, instantly deleting it.
Once she'd landed on her feet again, RiCO continued to dance around the area, blasting any spider creatures that tried to get close to her.
"This is why you don't open up the obvious spam email, Curtis," RiCO giggled as she continued to delete the viral creatures until the entirety of Sector G was silent.
"Well, that was fun," RiCO proclaimed. "Now to check on the signal tower and make sure it's working right..."
Thankfully, it was only a short walk to the Sector G signal tower, and everything seemed to be in order. No static-y infection blobs like the last time, nothing out of the ordinary.
"Okay, so then that must have just been a result of that spam email," RiCO stated. "Jerry really needs to tell these people not to believe everything that emails tell you, especially when they're clearly in the 'spam' folder..."
RiCO continued to check out the tower, unaware of a large spider virus approaching her from behind a nearby building.
"I know Nick would give him some crap for that, considering how much he likes to keep an eye out for that nonsense," RiCO chuckled.
"RICO, WATCH OUT!"
The spider virus took that opportunity to lunge for RiCO before she could even get her bearings.
However, a giant ruby-red heart dropped from the sky and crashed down on the spider virus, eliminating it immediately.
RiCO turned towards her savior and smiled. "Thanks for the help, Sophia!"
To be continued in Totally Spies: Artificial Insanity...
