From 7 to 30

Hazel talked to them along the way, Frederick learnt that Frank was Hazel's husband and their new born baby was called Samuel Zhang. He and Helen also learnt that Annabeth had done a lot of things, like finding the 'Athena Parthenos', facing Arachne, she even survived Tartarus! 'You talk like my grandmother used to.' Remarked Helen, smiling at Hazel. Hazel grinned back and said, 'That's probably because I was born in the late 1920s.' 'WHAT?!' Hazel gave them one of those inside joke winks and said, 'Here we are.'

Two people were sparring in the middle of a field. The man looked Asian, he was big and bulky, Frederick assumed this was Frank. The woman was very pretty and looked athletic, her curly blonde hair was tied up in a ponytail, her grey eyes looked stormy and calculating - Annabeth. It was a bit of a shock to see his baby girl, as a grown woman. From the look on Helen's face, Frederick was sure she felt the same way. Annabeth dodged Frank's blow, feigned a blow on the right and succeeded in disarming him. They shook hands. 'Good one Jackson. I suppose only Percy can defeat you, huh?' Frank said, smiling. Jackson? Who was Percy? Annabeth laughed, ' Athena always has a plan, Zhang. Good game.' Beside Frederick, Hazel cheered, 'Go Annabeth!' Frank and Annabeth turned to notice they had spectators. Annabeth laughed again, while Frank pretended to pout. Annabeth's expression turned from amused to shock, when she noticed himself and Helen. 'Dad? How-what? Why do you look...young?'

While they explained, Annabeth's eyes looked like storm clouds, he could almost see the gears in her brain spinning. 'Uh Annabeth?' Frank, who had baby Sammy in his arms as he had woken up and thrown a tantrum, asked, 'Maybe you should take them to your place, mortals might attract unwanted attention.' 'You're right,' Annabeth agreed, 'Oh and by the way, your brother came this morning, Hazel, I asked him to babysit until I came back, he's excited to meet his nephew. I'll send him over to your place.' Wait, babysit? Hazel grinned, 'Nico couldn't come when Sammy was born, something to do with our dad…' 'Who's your dad?' Helen asked, 'Pluto-or Hades.' Frederick remembered how Hazel had said that she was born in the late 1920's, maybe that had something to do with her dad. The family talked for a while, then waved goodbye and left. Annabeth stared at her parents. 'Well, we should better get going.'

They walked in silence. 'Leo said that you did some of the architecture here,' Frederick said to break the ice, 'This looks like a great place to live in.' Annabeth smiled, 'It was one of my first projects, a place of our dreams. Monsters can't attack.' 'Uh, where is New Rome, exactly?' Helen mused. 'San Francisco, it's one of the two safe places for demigods.' 'So all the people here are demigods?' Frederick thought aloud. 'Not all. Some are descendants of them.'

They reached a house, Annabeth rang the doorbell. A man with pale, olive skin and dark hair answered the door. Frederick resisted the urge to cower, the man radiated death. He exhaled, 'Finally.' Annabeth raised an eyebrow, 'Did something happen, Nico?' Nico sighed, 'Water balloon accident.' Annabeth shook her head, looking amused, 'Thanks Nico. Sorry for keeping you tied up, Hazel's expecting you.' Nico smiled, which brightened up his face considerably, 'I can see my nephew.' 'You know, it won't be too long until you'll be asked for babysitting favours from your sister.' Annabeth said slyly, laughing at Nico's horrified expression. 'Where is Percy anyway?' 'He went to Camp Half-blood, something about a Cyclops attack, he'll probably come soon.' Nico looked at Frederick and Helen, 'Why-' 'Something about Athena...You'd better get going. IM me if anything's wrong, send my regards to Will and the others. Thanks again for-' She was cut off by a squeal, 'Mommy!'
