If Naruto really want her to listen to him, he needs to speak fast. Or else she will flee, like she always does when there's a confrontation.

He took a deep breath. It's now or never.

"Hinata, look you need to listen. Everything that you saw today was a big misunderstanding. I don't know how you interpreted the whole thing, but it really wasn't how it looked like. I can't eat properly, because I just got a new arm transplanted. I don't want you to be angry or sad because of a misunderstanding, ya know? So stop apologizing."

Hinata didn't understand why Naruto had the need to justify the things, that happened earlier. She's not someone who would demand an explanation. Did she gave him the impression, that he needs to justify himself, for everything that he does? That's not the case at all. Naruto isn't her property and she has no right to question him.

"Um, it's alright. I'm sorry it was my fault. Um, so you don't need to explain everything to me, you did nothing wrong. So um.. I need to go now." She said awkwardly.

Hopefully after her last statement, he would let her hand go. It was a little bit odd, because Naruto was never really touchy with her. Yeah with People that are near and dear to him, that would be another matter altogether. But she is not one of those people. She never was one of those people..

Iruka, Sasuke, Sakura, Kakashi, Jiraiya, Sai, Yamato.. and she isn't nowhere near them. She was never one of those greedy type of girls. Maybe if she were a little bit more like Sakura, Naruto would look at her with a different set of eyes. After all he likes loud girls. Girls like Sakura. Meek girls, that don't got no voice to speak up - like her, don't stand a chance.

But it doesn't matter anymore. After all the things that occurred today, it won't be any concern of hers anymore. It was never any concern of her anyways. She shouldn't dwell on the 'what if's'.

What if she was like Sakura? What if she dyes her hair? What if she wears some contacts? All these questions won't bother her anymore, because she missed the opportunity.

Would it be disrespectful, to just run away? She don't have the heart to tell him, that he should leave her alone.

She is a friend of Naruto, is she not? The same apply to Sakura, they're friends since the Academy. So why is she even here, at night, speaking to her man? Sakura would be angry with her. Maybe even disappointed.. Hinata is not someone who tries to tempt taken man.

That's not something her prestige clan taught her..

"Hinata are you there? I thought you zoned out for a minute. I told you just now, that I can accompany you, where you're headed to. Just because we won the war doesn't mean there's no evil guys out there, ya know?" Naruto said bashfully, while scratching his neck.

Oh okay. No. She don't want him anywhere near Neji. Not because she's a hateful bitch.. but she just don't want him there. She has a right to decide, who visits his grave and who does not. It's her brothers grave after all..

But Naruto was the reason her brother changed his mindset. Why does he not have the right to visit him? He is not the reason for his death, but she is..

If he hadn't shielded her that day, maybe she would be the person lying in his grave, right now. Would someone even visit her, besides her brother and her sister? Would Naruto visit her?

No matter what the answers to these questions are, she still don't want him there. She don't want to be pitied. He shouldn't see her there crying, like she always does when she visits him. She won't allow Naruto to see her a second time, crying and hurting. What would he think about her, if he saw her crying like a baby? She just cried this morning at the thought of Naruto and Sakura being together. That's embarrassing enough. He can visit Neji all the time when he wants to, just not when she is there.

She would cry her heart at home out if she could, but she can't cry at home anymore, her father doesn't allow it. After all the loss was 4 weeks ago, she should be over it by now.

"You can cry for a few days. Maybe a week. But after that, you should be able to handle the death of someone you love. Don't forget you're a Hyuuga and we're strong and proud. Don't fail us."

That's what her father said, after she came home crying all day with red puffy eyes. Yes, he lost people that were near to him too, but he doesn't understand how she feels. No matter what happens, not one person in this whole world will be able to understand her pain. He wouldn't understand her pain, even if he lost everything.

Everybody speaks like they know how she feels. None of these people that speak about her loss, are the reason for someone's death. But she is.. she's even the reason for the death of two people. Her uncle and her brother. Maybe they're reunited now. Hopefully her uncle is not mad at her for being the reason for his death. Maybe he's even happy, that his son is back at home with him.

On one side she wants to be dead, but when she really thinks about it.. she don't have the courage to face her uncle. He would not only be utterly disappointed in her, but angry with her, for being the cause of another persons death again. Especially if said person is his son.

She's such a coward. She can't even face the matters that lie before her eyes. Such as telling Naruto to leave her alone. She has no other choice then to tell him, otherwise he won't leave her alone.

Maybe she could use ulterior motives? After all his well being is still a priority for her. Just because he don't reciprocate her love, doesn't mean he's not important to her anymore.

"Um Naruto.. I think I can handle myself. Uh so you should um.. go home. You need to heal properly." Hinata said, not once looking in his direction.

Maybe Naruto is dumb, dense and what not, but he knew his future wife long enough to know, that something isn't right with her. Maybe she still dwells on the events that occurred this morning?

He really don't want to confront her, but he knew that after the war she will retread from all of them. Including him. And he can't have that, can he? It would be a pain in the ass. Maybe after reuniting with hinata, he will go back to his timeline?

That's something he need to figure out too. What is the reason for the time travel ? What will happen once he finds out the reason for it? Can he travel back, after everything that needs to be done, is finished? Maybe he should confide in someone?

Maybe Tsunade or Kakashi know what to do? Hokage Life and all.. but Naruto is Hokage too and he never once, heard of something like this?

Walking footsteps brought him back to present. If Hinata is standing right in front of him.. then whom does the closer coming footsteps, belong to?

He turns his head around to take a look. It's not someone he expects.. especially at this time.

Maybe if he turns around quickly and speak with Hinata, he will be gone. He is not one to socialize.. so to avoid getting addressed he quickly turns around, to speak with Hinata, but it's to late..

"Why are you here, Dobe." Sasuke asked him, not even trying to make it sound like a question.

Naruto knows Sasuke Long enough to know, that he's not one to mind other people businesses. So why would he ask something like that? Especially if he can clearly see that it's something important..

Naruto needs to be calm, otherwise Sasuke won't leave it alone. And then he wouldn't have a chance to speak everything out with Hinata.

"Hehe, just wanted to make sure Hinata got home safely. So what are ya' doing here, Teme? At midnight."

Sasuke really don't want to argue. Why would he? He could be at home, eating some delicious tomatoes instead of listening to Sakura. Making sure Naruto went home? Since when did Sakura even care for the Dobe?

"Sakura wanted to make sure that you went home safely, so she forced me to check up on you. Go home Dobe". Sasuke said uninterested.

Why???

Why did Sakura thought that would be a good idea? He won the war. Did she really thought he was not capable of walking home alone?

Naruto will need a good excuse or else Sasuke won't let it go.

"Uh yea, so I thought I walk Hinata home first. She might not be able to defend herself alone, ya know? That's why I'm here. To walk her home on a dark night."

Puh. Naruto really have a good way with words. Maybe now, Sasuke would let the matter go. He could walk with Hinata and they would get rid of all the ill feelings on her side. And maybe the two of them could slowly begin their relationship. Unsusceptible of course. He would just have to throw some hints here and there. Then after the whole Toneri moon thing, they could be together again.

"Um.. Im not on my way home, Naruto. So you don't need to trouble yourself with me. So um.. I.. I think I have to go now. I wish you a speedy recovery." Hinata said, nervously.

Before she has a chance to flee, Naruto speaks up.

"No, Hinata it's no trouble really. I have Kurama in me, did you forget? I'm completely healed so it's no problem to walk you, where you're headed to."

She don't even has a chance to reply, because Sasuke decided to meddle in.

"I hate to repeat myself. She's a Kunoichi. If she can't handle herself, than maybe Kunoichi was not the right thing to be. Go home now Dobe."

Wow.

Did he have to be so harsh? Especially after she lost Neji? Naruto doesn't even have anything to say. Maybe if he went home the first time Sasuke told him to, the insult towards her, wouldn't happen.

He wants to apologize on Sasuke's behalf, because clearly he's not a social person. He doesn't even know how to speak with people, without insulting them. So being the reason for his come back, it's his job to apologize.

But he doesnt even get the chance to apologize properly.

Hinata turns around and walks away. He could catch her if he really wanted to, but he's not sure if that would be a good idea. Maybe she wants to be alone now?

That really doesn't matter. He has to speak with her. He has to set everything right, before the new events alter the timeline.

Before he has a chance to catch up with her, to talk everything out, he feels a hand clinging onto is collar, taking him aback. It's like the gods above him have something against him.

He doesn't even have to turn around to know, that the hand clutching tightly onto him, belongs to Sasuke.

"Sasuke what the fuck!?!?! Stop meddling in things, that are none of your business !!! I learned how to resolve my conflicts the same time you were gone, but you wouldn't know! After all you were a fucking rouge Ninja for years!!!! Stop sticking your nose into my business, I know how to resolve conflicts, ya know??!!"

Naruto's anger is building up. His future is at stake! Why the fuck would Sasuke meddle in? Since when was Sasuke the type to meddle in? Naruto really tries to understand the whole predicament he is in, but how can he understand anything that's happening, when he doesn't even know what is going on??!!

Maybe it's really just a long dream? A nightmare. That would explain the different display of emotions on Sakura and Sasuke's side. Plus he can't even remember Hinata being like this in their real timeline? So maybe it's really just a nightmare that he needs to wake up from.. or could it be a Genjutsu? Nah he would wake up from it, he's sure of that.

But what if all of this is really happening? What if he has a mission that he needs to complete? Otherwise he won't has the chance to go back to his real timeline? Maybe he has a purpose in all of this.. perhaps someone is in the same predicament? If he's lucky someone from their old timeline has the same problem. Otherwise it would be hard for others to believe him.

If everything continues like this, Naruto will freak out.

"Chill out. No need to let some of your pet's Chakra out. Sakura wanted to make sure that you got home safely. I didn't want to hear her annoying voice nagging me, so bug her instead of me." Sasuke said with a bored tone.

Huh? Naruto didn't even notice. He has to collect himself, if he doesn't want to make rash decisions.

"Um yeah, I'm just stressed that's all. It's like everything is upside down, ya know? But like, could you do me a favor? Don't be so harsh.. you're really insensitive sometimes. So uh.. you have a lot of time now after the war and all, so maybe you could work on that?" Naruto said, trying to not insult him.

Sasuke rose a brow. Since when was that a problem? Just because he broke the heart of that weak girl? So Naruto is someone, who shit on his friends.. for a WEAK girl? Funny.

"Don't tell me what to do, Dobe. It's my fault that she's weak now? Should have thought twice about being Kunoichi then."

Naruto knows better than anyone how pointless discussing things with Sasuke is. That's just how he is. In his mind, he can't do no wrong. So instead of talking to a wall, he decides that it would be better to just go home. Or better yet, eating some delicious ramen from Teuchi ! He didn't got to see him for like 4-5 weeks?

"Uh yeah, I could eat some Ramen, what do you think Teme? I like to be invited by you ! Ya know? For all the work I did during the war hehe." Naruto said with a chuckle, trying hard not to grin at him.

It would be their first official dinner after his come back too. Plus in their other timeline Sasuke had some problems finding his way back to the village and socializing with villagers again, so maybe seeing Sasuke with him would help the villagers being a little more familiar with him.

But there's still the thing with Hinata.. Maybe he can seek Hinata tomorrow out? They could talk all of their problems out and everything would be the same, just as it was before.

"I got a new arm implanted, Dobe. I don't have magical chakra in me to heal, I have to rest." Sasuke said impassive as ever.

Sasuke didn't even bothered to bid him goodbye. So now Naruto is on his way to Ichiraku's to eat some ramen after todays stressful events.

But.. since when did Sasuke decide that he wanted an implanted arm ? Wasn't he against it? To atone his sins? It doesn't even make any sense.

The Sasuke from now and the Sasuke of the past are currently altering the future, without knowing it. But the changed decision couldn't have that big of an impact. After all it's just a arm. But what could have caused him to change his opinion?

Maybe because Naruto was in coma ? For 4 weeks? Maybe he felt guilty, because he was the reason for him being in coma? But that still wouldn't make any sense.

In these 4 weeks everything could have happened. Maybe someone tried to persuade him about it. Naruto is 100% sure it would be Sakura. No wonder why he seemed to be so irritated by her.

Only now Naruto has the chance to catch his breath. He wants to reflect everything that happened today again, but he knows it's futile. Naruto's thoughts wander involuntary. It's his 3rd time thinking about the whole ordeal. He is Hokage himself and he never heard of time travels ever. He's still debating on telling someone.. but for now he will keep everything to himself. He can plan something tomorrow or even the day after. When you come to think of it.. he still has more than enough time.

Now he will only think about enjoying his Ramen before going home.

She sits on the hard, cold ground crying her heart out. She thought that maybe now, after 4 weeks she could visit him without crying. But after hearing Sasuke talking about her like that.. and Naruto didn't even try to defend her.

Weren't they friends? That's his best friend and he did nothing about the things he said about her. Did Naruto agree with him? Is she really not even worthy of being a Kunoichi?

She should have came to that conclusion herself, if she was being honest. She couldn't save her brother so what was she good for? If you can't even protect your loved ones, how would you guard important people?

Her sight was blurry and the only thing that she heard, was the droplets of her tears, falling onto his grave. She misses him dearly. His absence is much stronger on days like this, where she's feeling especially sad.

She wanted to spend some time with him here, reading some pages of his favorite book, but now she's crying like a baby. She ruined this planned quality time with her brother, only to cry.

She was always like this. Ruining things for people, just to have her moment. She tries to breath, but the lump in her throat becomes thicker, the more she thinks about all of this. With her fist, she grabs the earth he lies in and squeezes them till her knuckles turn white.

She can't even properly feel the pain. She's sure that he felt 100 times worse, as he was impaled. Her mind can picture the moment perfectly and she hates herself for that.

Loud footsteps distract her from her train of thoughts. She tries to sob as quietly as possible. She really don't want nobody to bother her now. The footsteps are getting closer and closer, and she has a feeling that someone is behind her. Her feelings are proving to be right after hearing that the footsteps stopped.

She really don't want to turn around. What if it's someone she knows? That would surely be embarrassing and humiliating for her. She doesn't have the strength to explain her state now.

She hears some movements from her left side. And prepares herself for what will happen. She slightly ducks her head, so her bangs can shadow her face and her sight. Maybe the person will leave her alone, after realizing that she doesn't want to speak.

Someone sits down on her left and takes a deep breath. It's a man, if the smell of him is any indication. She wipes her tears with the dirty hands that held the earth just now, and turns her head to the left.

It's the last person she expects and one of the least persons she wants to see here.

Sasuke.

What is he doing here? After speaking ill about her, talking badly about her and the decisions she took. He just want to make fun of her. He did the same thing in the hospital and the thought alone makes her sick. She's a laughing attraction, especially for him.

"The pain does not go away. You will get used to it eventually. Stop moping around for things you can't change. Your tears won't bring him back." Sasuke said sternly.

Sasuke does not now why he wanted to comfort her. He doesn't even know if she received the statement as comfort.. but he was in the same position once.

He had nobody. Nobody who consoled him, tried to make him feel better. He was not only the reason for his brothers death, but also the one who killed him with his two own hands. He has a lot of blood on his hands, but nobody's death hurt him like his brothers. He's a ruthless killer, but in Itachi's eyes, he was always his foolish little brother.

Maybe that's why he tries to make her feel better. He wants to think about other reasons for Itachi's death, trying to deviate himself.

He's closing his eyes, silence engulfing both of them. Several minutes go by, before Hinata speaks up.

"You don't know how I feel, so stop speaking! Stop speaking about him! What are you even doing here!?!??" Hinata said loudly, clenching her fist and hitting the grave multiple times.

A sob escapes her mouth. She hates him! Who does he think he is? She won't cry in front of him. Hinata wont give him the power to see her cry. She want him gone! The cemetery is big enough, for both of them.

He has to go.. otherwise she will make him!
