Streets of Mantle
Hakan walked through the streets without his hood on, looking around to scout out the area until he had made his way towards the giver's store. It was a-ok-looking building, had little paint shipped off, but good than its counterparts near it. Walking through the front door, already eyes were while they performed everyday labor. Already he saw children being worked, some skin and bones, a starve look on their face. Hakan continued to walk through the building with his hand by his side, staring at some of the children looking up from their work to stare back at him. Overseers, who hadn't notice him walking through their halls, turned to where the children were looking at hands behind their backs, until they noticed the assassin. With a startled jump and a fake smile, one of the workers immediately ran up to him to block his vision form seeing anymore.
"Ah! Excuse me, sir, you can't be in here!" the man said as he made sure to step into his field of vision.
"Sorry, I was just wondering and didn't notice... Why are children working?"
"Oh! See what happens is-" Hakan slowly started to tune him out. The reason being is because it's the same excuse every time. "It's for lien!" "They're making money to help them in the future!" Same old things and same old endings. "So, as you can see! It's really for their own benefit!" He moved to put his hands on Hakan. Of course, he swatted it away from his shoulder, an angered look as he stared into the man's skull.
"Don't touch me. But anyway, I heard that children were being sold here, is that true?"
"Sold... Is a bit harsh, sir, don't you think?" The man let out nervous laughter as he looked around, signaling with his hand for help.
Hakan looked up and stared at the camera seeing it focus on him. With his actual face being shown, Hakan made no mistake to try and stop it. Instead, he already had a plan set up for such an occasion. Zack was going to help him with this one, as he found him passed out drunk on the street. A drunk Zack is far more reliable and easy to do what you say when drunk making him the perfect candidate. The lights flickered. Without a second to lose, Hakan teleported around the building and disabled all the working cameras before getting back into his spot beforehand as the lights regained themselves.
"No, I don't think it is. Where is your manager?" Hakan asked as he started to walk around the man, only to step in his way again.
"He's busy," he tried to reinforce. But the scent of something strong behind the door in front of him was strong. He knew someone was there, but how can he figure this out? Well, one way to find out, as he took off running towards the door, reading to breach it until someone caught him, tacking the assassin to the ground and threw him away from the door as they rolled. Landing on his feet, he slid with his hand on the ground, helping him stay on his feet. Standing straighter now, he looked and saw multiple people start to make a barricade around the door.
And then it opened, a man with a clean shaved head and a built body walked out of it a cigar in his mouth. On his neck was the Schnee orders necklace and insignia clear as day as it was blinged in the light above. Hakan stood up and walked back, using the cover of darkness as a way to hide, putting on the hood as he did so.
"Well, well, well. It seems someone is eager to know what we do around here! How about we settle this like men, huh?! I know who you are, eh! One who strikes form the shadows, you strike fear into my boss's heart. And I'm sure if I got you back, he'd pay me hefty if I gave him back! SO child, before you get yourself into any more trouble, how about you come back with us! We won't do you wrong!"
Silence, Hakan had mastered the craft of working silently and smarter instead of using brute force, which is his go-to when out of options. After two years of having to deal with things like this, you learn a thing or two. Now directly above them, Hakan took out his pistols and leaped down, spinning in the air as he shot bullets from above, almost like a flower spinning and putting away his guns, activating the hidden blade ready to strike. However, the man looked up and lifted his arm to block the attack, with Hakan landing on top of him. Now on top, Hakan stabbed for the neck, getting a nip out of it, but not enough to cause serious damage. Pushing the young man off, they both stood ready to throw down.
Both circled each other as they stared down the other.
"Do you even know what it is we do?!" He yelled as he lunged, hoping to get a reaction from the young boy, only for him not to flench. While the two circled, the kids that were there had rushed out due to the gunfire Hakan had caused. "You've ruined my business!" This time he rushed in, throwing a right hook, only for Hakan to parry the attack with his left, and then threw a jab into the eye, making him squeal in pain. Hakan threw another punch hitting the same place with the same result, the bald man grunting with each hit until he was finally able to get the young man off of him. Pushing him away and readying himself, choosing a stance. Hakan bounced around before throwing a jab at his face, only for him to weave the attack and counter with a throat chop. Hakan blocked the hit and pushed it away. The two traded more blows as they moved from one room, dodging and countering the other's attack.
Hakan front kicked the bald man knocking him out of the door into an open space in the building. Walking up towards the older man, Hakan attempted to stomp on him, only for the dude to grab his foot and push it off. The man rolled to his hands and feet, only to get kneed the gut and then hammered back to the ground, knocking the wind out of him. Hakan grabbed his opponent and then headbutted the face before finishing him off with a spinning roundhouse kick executing it perfectly, knocking the man out making him fall to the ground unconscious. Taking a step back, he retrieved a gun and fired multiple shots into the ceiling, causing a lamp to fall underneath onto the bald man. Hakan took out a red crystal with the shots fired and tossed it towards the door before shooting it out of the sky, making it explode in the air. Backing away from the opening, he made his way towards the back door and snuck his way towards the front, taking off his hood as he walked by the crowd. Making his way out of the poor side of Mantle, Hakan walked as he noticed a similarity within the streets. It was all the same. Nothing was different. It opened his eyes to something happening above, something he was hoping to ignore.
He walked through the streets as he looked around, seeing a group of people running for their lives. Behind them were four sabyr rushes towards them, snarling and growling while they were hot on their heels. Hakan took out his sniper rifle, aimed his gun, and fired, hitting dead in the center of one, causing it to stumble and disintegrate. Rushing in, he twirled his weapon, changing it into a spear, and stabbed forward into the neck of another, stoping it in its place. Taking out his tow pistols, Hakan leaned back, barely dodging a strike for his head, as its claws extended out, snarling at him. The creature started to circle him, the two being more armored than the others he easily defeated. Spinning the pistols as they transformed into two daggers, Hakan readied himself as one leap behind him, growling while it did so. His blades slowly heated up as he turned his body and pulled his arm back so the dagger could hit the armor, pushing it back with enough force that it is causing dust to spur up.
With his attention on the other, the last sabyr tried the same, only for him to slash diagonally down its chest, doing the same thing flying back onto its back, bouncing upon impact. It rolled back towards its feet and then let out a devastating roar. Hakan knew what that meet, so he rushed the beast and slashed at its chest again, causing it to lean with each hit until the last hit made it slide back. Hakan smiled as he heard the steps of the last creep behind him, so he turned, and with deadly accuracy, it hit the soft underbelly of its armor skin. It melted right through the skin, falling to the ground with one more to go. Hakan changed it towards a pistol and aimed down the sights, firing one bullet into its skull, causing it to explode after the hit.
With the sounds of many Grim coming towards his position, he retrieved his weapons and downed his hood, rushing towards the horde of enemies. Spinning the spear into a sniper, he shot four shots into the ground, making them explode on impact, making a smokescreen. With the smokescreen deployed, he spun the rifle back into its spear and went to work. Slicing and dice away at the horde, he stabbed forward into the head of a creep before pulling it out and using the but as a battering ram into the chest of a Beowulf, making it hunch over in pain. Spinning it upward with all his might, he sliced the face up and stabbed it into its skull, killing it instantly.
Taking it out, the smokescreen started to disappear as he threw his spear into the stomach of another grim, taking out his pistols and jumping into the air firing off five rounds into its exposed back. Landing on his feet, he switched from pistols to daggers slicing off arms, legs, and other body parts as the assassin made quick work of the horde, slicing one of the last grim in half with his heated blades, and then threw the two of them into the skulls of two others, killing them. Looking up, there was one more standing there looking at the assassin as he walked towards the beast, activating his hidden blade from his left wrist band. The beast sized him up before charging at him, roaring as it did so. However, before Hakan could make a move, the beast froze in place, a claw outstretched. Raising a brow, Hakan looked around to see if anyone was around. Only to see no one, so he took his hidden blade and stabbed the throat of the beowolf, killing it upon contact. Once he did that, the body went limp and fell to the ground. Its body disintegrated after a couple of seconds as Hakanlooked at it, wondering what he was going to do next. He thought it would be time to visit an old friend of his with one thing out of the way.
"STAY!" A voice boomed his ears as his body suddenly frozen just like the grim before him. Tried as he might, his body didn't move an inch. Instead, it stayed in place as commanded.
"We got him, bringing him to base," a female voice sounded next as he heard the distant steps of his unknown enemies.
"Good work, Marrow, detain him immediately."
Hakan closed his eyes and then used his semblance teleporting away from the group. Rolling to his side, he grabbed his daggers and then got to his feet, taking a defensive stance. The group of five looked at him, shocked he could get out of Marrow's grasp. The mohawk girl smiled and rushed forward while she ran at high speeds, her weapon on her back folded around her arms, forming exosuit robot arms around her own arms. Throwing a jab, Hakan moved to the left, dodging the attack in the nick of time, rolling to the left. As he recovered, the girl readjusted her footing and ran towards him again, leaping into the air holding up a fist. Lightning struck as she jumped, her speed being superior, but he was able to keep up with her even slightly. Rolling back as she smashed the ground making a small little crater, Hakan slashed forward, getting a hit on her cheek, making her back up a little.
The two stared down each other some more until a warning cry came from above, making him dodge roll to the right, dodging a hammer being slung down by the big heavyset girl causing a smokescreen. Using that to his advantage, teleporting around the women, he made little slices at her aura before finally drop kicking her in the gut, sending her flying out the smoke. The big girl rolled to her knees and grunted as she looked up. The assassin stood waiting for his next opponent as he switched his daggers into pistols and put them away. Harriet rushed in again as the assassin stood there waiting for them. Jumping again, he read her movements and side-stepped her as she slammed the ground and then went for a speeding sweep of his legs. Hakan cartwheel over her attack and landed on his feet, crossing his arms as the big girl swung her hammer towards him.
With a swing and a miss, the big girl stared in disbelief. Hakan leaned his body back, dodging the hit with extreme flexibility. Jumping to his back, he sprung himself up and kicked the big girl back again, landing on his feet as he dodges another attack from Harriet. Ducking and weaving from the speeding woman's attack, Hakan leaned back and threw his own jab getting a hit in before resorting back to dodging her attacks. Every opening he found, he took advantage, sneaking in hits as the two stood close to one another. Harriet threw another hook, leaving her right side wide open, throwing an uppercut there. Hakan made contact with her ribs, making her bend form the pain. Taking this as his opportunity, Hakan proceeded to punch and kick her into submission, kicking out both her legs before kneeing the woman in the face causing her to go airborne. While in the air, Hakan grabbed her ankles and slammed her into the ground rendering her unconscious.
"Hare!" The big woman called as she spun her weapon and slammed into the ground where he once was standing. Hakan causally walked over towards his spear as she looked towards him smiling a little. Kicking the weapon up towards his hand, Hakan twirled it and got into a fighting stance. Rushing forward, he threw the spear, making it hit the ground at her feet, where she jumped back a little before exploding in her face. In the air, Hakan jumped off his spear while grabbing it and performed a deadly combo of Spear and gun towards the upper body before finally stabbing her in the chest, sending her towards the group that sat there and watched. Landing on his feet, Hakan changed the spear back to a rifle and placed it on his back.
Elm slowly got back to her feet, a smile on her face still rushing forward. Her weapon was too large for him not to see it coming, so he did, as usual, dodging the hit and using most of his strength to punch her in the gut, causing her to lean over. While leaning over, Hakan jumped up and spun kicked her in the jaw, expecting her to go into the air a little bit. Instead, she stood in place and readied a counter using the butt end like a spear as she stabbed forward. Hakan used his semblance in return, teleporting away from the hit and grabbing the weapon with both hands and used his legs to do the dirty work, kicking her vital areas and open areas until she was forced to let go of the weapon with one hand. As planned, He hoped up and used both his feet as a way of leverage, kicking himself off her big body with her weapon in his hand. Swinging the massive weapon, he used it just as effectively, knocking and hitting her around the body as he would with his daggers. Spinning the weapon in his hands, he landed one final blow to which she attempted to block with her forearms. Though once she did, the hit that followed shattered what little aura she had left, causing her semblance to break, and she was sent onto her back.
Hakan dropped her weapon and started to walk towards the remaining three, looking directly at the faunus who stopped him last time. As he was walking, he felt himself be stuck in place as he predicted. A smile on his lips as Azure flapped her wings and struck down onto the pavement towards Marrow, sending him flying onto his back, freeing the assassin. Hakan took out a spear with him out as the weird one with crystals in his head took a step forward. Only for the green-eyed man to hold out his hand to stop him.
"My apologies if we startled you," he said, bowing, taking Hakan back a little.
"Isn't it a little late to be saying sorry? I mean, half your squad is knocked out or recovering from an attack."
"We don't wish to fight you. We're here under orders from Ironwood himself to bring you with us."
"Ironwood? You mean your military?" Hakan put away his spear and bowed back. "I'm sorry to have caused a scene like this. But if I'm being honest, ya'll asses had that coming."
"Sorry for the... welcoming party. The General is expecting to see you soon."
"How did he know I was here?"
"Well, we saw some security footage of you fighting a woman who held kids captive. Though we don't know the outcome, we can safely assume that you won?"
Hakan said nothing as Harriet started to regain herself. Marrow and Elm walked back towards their leader.
"Let's go!" Their leader called as the group of six boarded the aircraft while they flew towards Atlas.
Atlas Academy
Ironwood finished his speech toward team rwby and part of JNPR minus the P giving them their huntsman license. As he finished up, the Ace Ops walked in, with Hakan following close behind.
"General!" Clover waved towards Ironwood before saluting, following the rest of the group.
"Ah! It seems you have returned and do you-"
"It's been a while, Ironwood," Hakan walked past the group of five as he and the General locked eyes.
"It seems you didn't play fair with my men," Ironwood gestured towards the three-beat-up members of his squad.
Neither said a word as the tension slowly builds up between the two. The people that were in the room looked over towards the two males. Without warning, Ironwood widens his arms, to which Hakan sighed and walked into the hug.
"I... I thought you were dead."
"Not dead, wish I was, though," the two continued to hug for a second before release one another.
"Where have you been? When I heard about the fall of the brotherhood and your disappearance, I feared the worse."
"That whole time I was missing, I was here in Atlas, being held up in a cell."
"Here?" Ironwood repeated, shocked at the news.
"Yeah," Hakan looked up and towards his left and saw the Schnee sisters. Weiss and Winter looking at him with their icy blue eyes, a blush on the youngest daughter's face as she looked away. That little interaction put a smile on his face as he turned his attention towards the General, who placed a hand on his shoulder, to which Hakan grabbed it on instinct, not realizing what he was doing. Hakan let go of his hand.
"Sorry-"
"No, it's fine. I shouldn't have invaded your personal space like that," Ironwood placed his hand by his side. As Hakan took a step back, Ironwood smiled as he looked towards team RWBY. "I know it's been a while since you've seen them, so I'll let you all catch up with them. Once your ready, you can find me at my desk," Ironwood started to walk out of the room, followed by the Ace Ops. Walking inward towards the room, he looked around the room, seeing a group of ten people all in different places. He decided to head over to Ren, Nora, and Jaune as they huddled together, talking to one another.
"Hey," Hakan walked up towards the two, staring directly towards Jaune. His appearance made the group of three tense up. "I just wanted to say sorry about earlier. I was... pissed, to say the least. Pissed at myself and then at seeing the only thing that reminded me of her. I'm glad you're trying to be a tribute to her. She would be proud of you," Hakan reached out a hand to which Jaune looked at and then shook.
"Yeah, thank you... I'm sorry we couldn't find you."
"Don't blame that on yourself. It's no one's fault but my own. I just wish I could've been there to at least provide help."
Jaune said nothing but slightly nodded a little bit. The conversation came to a stop as he reconciled with Nora and Ren.
"Hey, we know you've been through some stuff. We're just glad your ok," Nora said as she patted his shoulder, to which he nodded. Saying his final goodbyes to the three as they continued with their conversation before Hakan interrupted them. Walking over towards the Schnee sisters, Hakanlooked up and saw Ironwood and Oscar talking to one another. This got his mind spinning as he suddenly stopped in place, much to his confusion. Using an aura technique called aura sensing. He felt the feet of those rushing towards him. Hakan looked up and saw the three Ace Ops members attacking him. Hakan uses his semblance as he had enough time to regain the little aura they all had, to dodge the smash of Harriet's exosuit arms. Reappearing out of thin air, Hakan assumed a hand-to-hand stance.
The three circled the assassin as he looked around, a smirk on his lips.
"It seems some people can't take a loss?"
"I just want my lick-"
A sleeping dart to the throat, Harriet's body, became limp, and she fell to the ground. Using his teleportation, he darted the three, making the trio fall sleeping on the ground for a couple of seconds. Hakan looked up towards Ironwood, who shrugged at the performance with a slight smile and a shake of his head, laughing at their attempt. Walking past their sleeping bodies, they slowly aroused from their short slumber and looked around confused. Marrow and Elm got up laughing at this ordeal while Harriet shook her head,, joining in on the laughter.
"I guess they really are on a completely different level."
The three got up as the assassin walked up towards Weiss, as he did, the two embraced each other for a almost a minute before Winter cleared her throat.
"I'm glad you two are reunited after all this time Hakan," Winter held her hands behind her back.
"Nah, I think she's more happier seeing you, but I can't wait to see my boy whetly again."
"Hey, I'm equally happy to see you both!"
Hakan and Winter shared a look together a smile appearing on both of their faces.
"You heard that! She thinks of you as a brother."
"That'll be kinda nasty, considering-"
"Alright! Alright! You know what I mean!" Weiss pouted as she crossed her arms, earning a laugh from her two teasers.
"Glad you still have your since of humor Winter," Hakan playfully bowed towards her.
"As I'm to you, its good to relax every once in a while," Winter chuckled in responded slightly bowing with a smile on her face.
Weiss walked up towards Hakan and hugged his left arm leaning her head on his shoulder. The gesture was new but he didn't complain, accepting it with his own head leaning against hers.
"If I'm interrupting something, I'll go find things to do-"
"No, stay, or conversation can wait later,"
"But-"
"Its fine, she needs to take a break from the seriousness anyway," Winter started to walk away from the two as they walked up tot he bleachers, sitting down.
"So, were shall we begun?"
