Peter had after his meeting with Diana, had gone out as Spider-Man (in his latest suit that he called his Advanced Suit) and so far it was a pretty slow day: prevented a car crash, caught a purse snatcher and prevented 2 carjacking. He wondered what was considered a slow day for normal people? He perched himself on a ledge as it was getting dark and decided to check the news and saw that the local news from tabloids had Peter being invited into the Themysciran Embassy by Diana as trending news. They were wondering if he was a fling to Diana, he scoffed thinking that he would be seen as Wonder Woman's boy toy for some time after this.

Plus as if Diana would see anything like that in him.

Soon he got a call from his Aunt May and of course she had seen the news, "I trust you Peter but I just want to make sure that you know what you are doing; I know that you are still grieving over Gwen and how into those Justice League types when you were younger; I would hate that you were being taking advantage of." Aunt May said and Peter sighed; he did love his Aunt May and appreciated everything that she had done for him but he was an adult now and it felt like she hadn't grasped that yet.

"Trust me Aunt May; the sensationalist news are looking for anything that would get them attention. I was just having an appointment after having a chance meeting; I helped her identify a machine that thugs she had taken care of were using and just wanted to discuss it more. She was really nice and is just interested in having me helping her or as a friend if I am lucky." Peter said using his best cover story for what to say.

"Just be careful Peter, I never liked her speaking of love and peace while she fights with a sword as well as go about flaunting her impossible standard looks. If you are interested in trying to move on then I can see about setting something up with Anna's niece." Aunt May said as Peter sighed some more remembering Mary Jane Watson the niece of her friend Anna who Aunt May set him up for as a blind date for his prom but hadn't had much contact with since then. She wasn't very happy about him leaving so soon since he had gotten reports of a big robbery that the Vulture was doing.

Peter said goodbye to her and then noticed a gunfight and saw a store being shot at by men in suits and masks, he jumped down and web slinging and punching the goons. "You know I kind of wish that here in New York we got the themed costumed henchpeople that Gotham seems to have. You know if there are crooks disguised as circus people then there is a good chance that they work for the Joker..." Peter joked but then noticed Diana had come with a serious look on her dace with the men beginning to panic.

They started and with great speed and little effort Diana had them bounce off her silver bracelets and Peter was practically drooling over seeing this in person. "...I think that I am in Love..." Peter muttered and was embarrassed when Diana saw him having heard that and smiled. It was extra embarrassing knowing what he said under the effects of the Lasso.

The men soon surrendered and Diana tied the leader up with said Lasso and asked what their plans were, "Old Man Silvermane wants to re-establish himself and take back territory that Fisk had claimed in the decades that he was in jail. We were sent to make an example of this place that wouldn't pay protection." The leader said looking like he was trying his hardest not to speak.

Peter raised an eyebrow as Silvia Manfredi better known as the crime boss Silvermane was the leader of one of the last of the Maggia crime families in New York and practically ruled the city's crime underworld before Fisk did. He had spent decades in prison before being released and had vanished along with his daughter Alisa who had been running his affairs since her father's incarceration with most people believing that he wanted to rebuild his empire.

"Where is Silvermane and what are his plans?" Peter asked as the man looked furious about what he would be forced to say.

"The boss and his daughter are in hiding, we have to get our orders from a middle man. All I know is that he has found a way to become immortal." The leader replied and Peter wasn't happy that they couldn't get any more out of it. Was he speaking metaphorically about Silvermane wanting immortality.

"Silvermane will be found and brought to justice, don't worry about it." Diana told him in an assured tone of voice as Peter noticed police coming and forming a blockade against reporters and onlookers. Peter was about to take his cue to leave but Diana put a hand on his shoulder and told him "stay and be recognised for the hero you are." Peter wasn't sure but Diana's smile felt reassuring and told him to trust her that things will be alright, he was worried about blinding trust but Diana seemed like wanted to help his reputation.

Diana came to the reporters and said to the camera "I want to make this statement that Spider-Man helped with the situation before I could arrive and New York City owes him a debt of gratitude for all that he has done for the city. While some may decry him as reckless and irresponsible, he has helped take down dangerous foes that I am sorry to say that had escaped my notice and has helped people in need when I was too busy to do so myself. The slander against him especially accusing him of being at fault for the tragic deaths of Captain Stacy and his daughter Gwen are unfounded and insulting. Please join me in giving a hand to Spider-Man." Diana faced Peter and clapped and there were enthusiastic claps for those who were already fans of Spider-Man and the others joined in.

Peter was speechless and muttered his thanks to Diana before swinging off. They say to never meet your heroes and Peter knew that there was a lot of merit to that saying but having met one of his heroes; she went far beyond the kind and perfect soul he imagined her to be when he was younger.
