It had been an interesting day for Stars Hollow, Lorelai hadn't been in the diner, Luke was standing behind the counter staring at Range Rover. Who had just parked in front of the diner after the several rounds of the town?

5 miners later a brunette girl with bright blue eyes dressed in black ripped skinny jeans, white tank top with TWEED NATTE MONOGRAM JACQUARD HOODED PARKA Louis Vuitton coat, the SINCE 1854 SILHOUETTE ANKLE BOOT Louis Vuitton and the ONTHEGO PM Louis Vuitton totes bag went in. The entire diner including Luke looked when she sat down on the counter. He approached her and checked if he could help her with anything. She ordered a cup of coffee, opened her purse, and took out a novel, began to read. The whole establishment is in a state of shock. They stood and watched the girl read as she drank another, another glass. She only looked up from her book two times during her visit, and both times were to order more coffee.

Today was the day that Lorelai Leigh Gilmore - Hayden the 3rd was going to live with her mother. She didn't know how she got there. It was the first week of January and she was in the middle of nowhere searching for the house of the woman that abandoned her and her family. Ok, she knew how, but still. She let out a frustrating sight and decided that she was going to a coffee shop first. Then will have some coffee, read a little, and then deal with everything else. And so she did. Half an hour later she felt someone looking at her. Put down the book and looked at the man with flannel and a blue baseball hat.

"May I help you with something?" she asks smiling with her bright cheeky smile that could meld anyone. Luke gave a rear smile refilling her coffee cup. Before he could get a word out she interrupted him.

"How do you know that I want another?

"Don't you?" he asked her skeptically.

"No, no, no. I want, but normally people don't give you a fifth cup of coffee, especially without you asking them."

"Well you remind me of someone" he smiled again. At this the whole city was awestruck. This girl has only been here for little over two hours and has already made Luke smile twice. And even a genuine smile.

"I hope this is good," she asked hesitantly.

"Sometimes. This is. Luke" and held out his hand.

"Lorelai" and shook his hand. At this Luke was shocked, Miss Pathy and Bebett that were eavesdropping gasped.

And then Lorelai finally appeared like a hurricane babbling about someone being missing and her getting killed and failing before she got a chance. Luke cleared his throat to let her know that there was a person next to her. He had a premonition that she was rambling about her. Well if not the name, the girl looked almost the same as Lorelai, with the difference that her hair is a little more honey brown and her eyes even more bluer and brighter as if this is even possible.

Lorelai shredded him and continued with her rant. When she was done Luke asked.

"Are you done?"

"Yes. And Luke, you know better than to stop a Gilmore girl from her rant."

The was met with a laugh from the brunette.

"Well, I thought that you would like to know that we have company." Lorelai let out a shriek. Before throwing her hands around the girl's neck and starting to ramble on again.

"My god Rory what the hell, you were meant to meet me at my house. When did you arrive? Why are you here? Oh, Luke, thanks you found her, I don't know what I had done?"

"I thought your name is Lorelai?" asked nosy Kirk.

Brunette looked confused for a moment. She didn't remember ever introducing herself to him but said:

" I came here 2 hours ago, I think."

"2 hours and 25 minutes." corrected her Miss Patty

"Okay," she continued uncertainly " didn't you forgot that I don't really know where you live. So I decided the best thing to do was to find some coffee and then decide what to do. . . Oh, and for the other question. Lorelai is my name. Rory is just a nickname that only mum uses." if before the diner was shocked then they were now closer to a heart attack.

The diner customers sat there shocked and let the information that was just dropped sunk in, in silence.

Lorelai didn't know what to do. She knows that people were going to be shocked when they find out that she had a daughter, but still didn't know what to tell Rory. How do you tell your daughter that you didn't tell anyone about her? Not even your "supposedly" family. She was just about to say something when Luke asked the question on everyone's mind.

" You are Lorelai's daughter." when that was greeted with a nod he continued "How old are you?"

" I am 17. Why?. . Ooooh." Lorelai saw the realization on her face. And immediately said.

"Why don't we go home? There we can talk. Alone." With this, the two girls left the diner, taking the Range Rover and driving to Lorelai's house. Just just before she could open the door, Rory asked:

"They didn't know about me, did they?"

"Look is not what you think... "

"It's not what I think" raising her voice filled with anger. "What do you mean? That was your family. YOU abandon us for this," she said throwing her hands around "this. For God's sake they don't know you have a daughter. Well I guess that they know no. and of course I guess they don't know about Josh too. And this." with every word said her voice was getting louder and angrier.

"Look let's talk inside. I will make coffee and we will calm down and discuss this."

"What is there to discuss. Tell me. That I was dumb enough to think that my mother, no the woman that gave birth to me will be anything other than that. Got I WAS stupid"

"Young lady don't there talk to me that way", "What way"

"Oh, you know. I am your mother and you CAN'T talk to me that way, come in and we will discuss it like adults"

"Look I don't know who gave you the wrong idea, but you are not my mother. Yes, you gave birth to me, but that was it. You lost the right to call yourself my mother the day you gave full custody of me to dad. Really, you abandon me, ME, US, for this. The whole house is smaller than my room. "

"Rory.." Lorelai tried calmer. She knew that would not be easy, but still. She didn't expect all this the first day.

"Don't Rory me. God, I quarreled with Josh over you." stopping she took a breath "You know what. Don't wait for me. Right now I can't be here". With that, she turned, got in the car, and headed off to somewhere.

Lorelai just stood there. She didn't know what to do. She hadn't meant for this to happen. Actually, she didn't know what just happened. Did she finally have her daughter in the place that was now her home, did her chance to be a mother just blew in front of her face. She wasn't dumb to think that the last 17 years have not been affected. But she didn't expect this from Rory, from Josh yes, but from Rory. She was always a nice, polite, sweet little girl.
