A/N: Chapter here guys so let's make this first one count aye? Also stupid title is stupid lol. (small note I made a correction to chapter 1, sorry I botch the lore dunno where I had gotten 500 from when it's actually 10,000) So guys just so you all are aware, I can make my own assumptions about where this game places but lore wise it's kind of crazy and I am not even sure if it even makes any sense. Do the Divine Beasts predate the zelda-verse as we know it? Or did the calamity happen when Ganondorf was sealed into his pseudo existence? I am not sure which I personally am going for because, like seriously king Dorephan has apparently been in two games and fans only believe him to be 200-300 years old when the calamity shows up. So I dunno what to believe tbh until we know how old King Dorephan is, or if he was in two games, will we really know if the calamity from 10,000 years ago was the malice we faced? or the time when Demise first showed up in Hyrule? Also maybe I'm wrong on both accounts I dunno, what do you guys think?

Zelda yawned and stretched, she was laying alone once again which vastly worried her.

"Boo," Mikael suddenly said. She looked over to see Ghirahim playing a game of peek-a-boo with her son.

"Very good this time try the peek-a part yes?" Ghirahim suggested.

"Mmhmm," her little boy answered. He covered his face and then uncovered saying "Pee-kay boo." She watched as Ghirahim tried not to laugh, Zelda herself couldn't manage it and laughed outright. Mikael laughed as well and soon everyone was laughing, whom were still nearby.

"We will work on it," Ghirahim finally said, he gave a sigh before peering her way accusingly. Zelda attempted to stifle her laughs but failed miserably. Mikael started to speak in the gibberish that Ghirahim claimed to be broken demonic. "Well If you keep trying then you will be able to speak both, I will personally work with you on speaking Hylian for as long as you wish me to." Mikael nodded and then picked up one of his toys, handing it to Ghirahim. She marveled at how little the demon complained about having to play, then again the other probably knew how important play was to children. Or maybe Mikael insisted, either way it was very obvious that her son would not take no for an answer.

"Huh, seems really tame doesn't he?" Sana said, from somewhere behind her.

"Yes almost too good to be true," Zelda whispered, peering at the other woman. Zelda decided to pack up the sleeping gear and put them where they belonged, she saved disappointing her son for last. He frowned at her and even pouted but didn't make too much of a fuss. Zelda mounted and Ghirahim passed her son up to her, she gave him a little tickle which incited a giggle. "Alright let's get back on the road!"

"Heeheeha," Mikael giggle, playing with the toy she had allowed him to keep. Ghirahim rode ahead of them, while Sana rode next to her it was odd to see the demon taking Link's normal place. She knew she had to let Link go as her royal guard but it still wasn't easy in cases like this. Of course he didn't always ride ahead, he only did that when he knew where they were going. He had done so, so that he would be the first target of any enemies that came their way. Any other time he would ride slightly behind or beside her, as Sana was doing now. She smiled at her lover just then, Sana smiled back before giving a mischievous look.

"How about we play a game hm?" Sana offered.

"What kind of game?" Zelda asked.

"Well usually it's just a guessing game played with young but it helps pass the time for adults too," Sana said. "Basically I say a color of something I spot along the way and you guess what it is I could have seen."

"O-okay," Zelda stammered.

"Okay I'll start, I see something white," Sana said, teasingly.

"Is it Ghirahim?" Zelda asked. Sana laughed at that, she smiled at the other female's mirth.

"He does have white hair but no, guess again," Sana replied. "Also that would be too obvious, I can't possibly make it too easy or you would guess it immediately." Zelda hmmed and looked around but all she saw was white clouds, a spear but that was silver right?

"The clouds?" she guessed.

"Nope," Sana said giggling as she glanced down. She took a peek only to see her son's white toy and laughed a bit, that was tricky.

"My son's toy?" she asked. Sana chuckled and nodded, she giggled a little bit.

"Well now it's your turn to pick something's color," Sana said.

"Okay, I see something.." She looked, around at everything before she finally decided. "Something purple." Sana began to look around before spotting something.

"The flowers over there?" She asked.

"Nope!" Zelda said with a giggle.

"Hmm," Sana said still giving a look around. "My saddle blanket?"

"Nope," Zelda replied.

"Your horse's tack?" Ghirahim asked without looking at them.

"Yes," Zelda responded, still smiling. This game really was fun, she was also really surprised that Ghirahim wanted to join in though.

"Okay my turn then hmm," Ghirahim mentioned. "I spy something blue."

"Is it the sky?" Sana asked.

"No," Ghirahim said, he chuckled a bit.

"Wawa?" Mikael asked.

"No but also a good guess," Ghirahim replied. They guessed a few more things before they finally gave up.

"Okay I give up, what was it?" Sana asked. She gasped when Ghirahim pulled out a toy he had been holding. "Oh you, that's not fair." She laughed even though she had just berated him, playfully. Ghirahim laughed a little himself, he then made a show of sighing before his next words.

"Fine, let's see then, I spy something red," Ghirahim said. She and Sana chuckled as the guessing began again, even Mikael was enjoying the game. Their journey seemed to even go by just a little faster, with fewer breaks. They even did other games that occupied their time as well, including a singing game and naming different things they passed along the way. On one break they got to see a wild herd of horses grazing nearby but keeping a distance.

"Pwitty," Mikael said, with awe as he watched them.

"Would you like one?" Ghirahim asked. Mikael looked down at his horse toy, Zelda almost thought he was considering it.

"Boo," Mikael said.

"Okay, when you are old enough to ride one I'll get you one that's all blue," Ghirahim promised. Mikael giggled and Zelda gave the demon a partial glare with a smirk.

"You're going to spoil him," She accused.

"Not spoil, teach," Ghirahim replied. "I will ensure the wild horse is quite tame but Mikael will still need to bond with the animal. I do not plan to do that for him."

"And how will he learn this?" Zelda asked.

"I will teach him how to care for the horse," Ghirahim answered. "Something all people with horses should know, the brushing and cleaning of the stall help the bonding process. Feeding as well, though you will probably had servants to prepare the feed yes?"

"Yes and usually servants take care of the horses also," Zelda complained. "Why would you have him.."

"Because if he doesn't brush the horse how will he ever bond properly?" Ghirahim asked. "You brush yours do you not?"

"I.. do but only because.." She began.

"And compared to any other horse you have had is your bond closer or no?" Ghirahim asked.

"Well.. it is but that.." Zelda tried to argue.

"That is precisely the point then, helping to care for a horse will bring you closer to the horse and makes for a sturdier bond, Princess," Ghirahim teased. "Otherwise your horse's bond will be split between rider and caretaker, he or she won't know who to listen to."

"Oh.." Zelda said, simply.

"Any further arguments about my teaching method?" Ghirahim asked. She shook her head, he had made his point and she was really glad for her close bond with Lightening. Lightening was much better behaved for it too, maybe that was why Starlight had been so finicky with her. She missed that stallion so much, at least she had his descendant and could bond properly with the beautiful mare. She looked over to see Sana was brushing her own steed, she briefly wondered if Sana had even known about any of that. "Lynel." Zelda turned quickly to see that Ghirahim was definitely right, there really was a lynel there. It was armed with a bow and had a golden mane, seemed it was on some kind of hunt. Ghirahim was already heading for the horses with Mikael. Zelda gathered her things quickly and mounted before accepting Mikael. A roar told her the lynel had spotted them. "Go I'll catch up."

She nodded and urged her mount to Gallop while holding her son tight with one arm. She could Sana behind her, she only slowed the horse when they were a good enough distance from the lynel. She looked back to see that Ghirahim was standing talking to the beast, she briefly wondered if he had quelled it's anger at a hunt interrupted. The creature looked her way before looking back at Ghirahim, what were they talking about? She watched as Ghirahim mounted before he rode away from the lynel, the lynel however followed at a loping pace. Her horse made a plaintive, nervous noise and shook her head. Zelda patted the horse making soothing noises, what was Ghirahim thinking bringing the lynel to them?

"Turns out he was just hunting," Ghirahim said. "He roared because his quarry flew away."

"Oh," Zelda said, suddenly embarrassed.

"My apologies," the Lynel said, in his rumbling voice.

"It's quite alright," Zelda replied. "I'm Zelda.."

"Princess, yes I am aware," The lynel interrupted. "Gerol, here.. as a proper apology I will give you one of my earlier prey." He handed her a large bird, she accepted it out of respect but they didn't really need it. Then again, it would be a nice change from their rations.

"Thank you," Zelda said. It was very generous of him to give her one of his kills, the lynel nodded as Ghirahim secured the bird to her belongings. The lynel bowed and trotted off, back toward the fields.

"Well, unexpected but seems he is fitting in nicely in the wilds," Ghirahim noted. Zelda nodded but she continued to watch the Lynel, wondering if Link had ever crossed paths with it. She also wondered if the Lynel had any kind of shelter from storms or if he just stood out in the rain as many Lynel before did. "You know a Lynel's color is a representation of their strength yes?"

"No I didn't know that," Zelda replied, a little surprised. "How do they get a new color then?"

"When they grow in strength, he is older of course once he gets to old his current color will fade," Ghirahim explained. "Even Lynel will parish from old age without the calamity's influence. Without, however, they fight each other to earn their rankings. They gain color when they gain strength by overpowering their brethren, it's an interesting dynamic. Most of the time weaker lynel will respect a gold Lynels territory, especially if they are old. They gain nothing from a weakened gold Lynel."

"Oh, so they are constantly competing?" Sana asked.

"Not constantly, more like annually. Until then they are training, hunting and other such activities," Ghirahim replied. "We should get a move on regardless, we need to make it to the desert soon at the very least." She nodded and they continued on their journey, they ended up crossing a set of bridges and were forced to stop as mounted bokoblins approached them. She watched as the bokoblin spoke with Ghirahim, who spoke back in a language she couldn't understand.

"She says we can stay at their camp for the night," Ghirahim mentioned before following the bokoblin. Zelda was shocked that bokoblins had females, they all looked very similar to one another. This one did have the chest area covered, however. She felt as though she were learning much on this journey, a lot she had no idea about. She brought them to a skull where two archers stood on separate wooden towers, they looked hastily constructed. Perhaps she could get the Bolson Company to help them, then again she would need to broker peace treaties first. The female bokoblin spoke with the archers who snorted and lowered their bows. Another bokoblin showed them where to tie the horses, there was even some feed already available. She handed Mikael down to Ghirahim before dismounting, she gave her horse a pat to calm the mare. She then went to join the others inside of the giant skull, she was curious how the bokoblins had gotten these skulls.

"How did they well find this skull?" Zelda asked.

"It's actually not a skull," Ghirahim explained. "It's clay they mixed with some water and either sand or stone dust and sculpted this whole thing with, then the sun baked it to the point that rain cannot even destroy it."

"Oh, amazing but how did you know?" Zelda asked.

"Bokoblins had done similar in my old world as well," Ghirahim replied, as though it were common knowledge. "It was quite fascinating to see it done the first time but well.. less impressive the more often you see it."

"Well if they can make clay then they have the ability to improve their towers as well," Sana mentioned. "Maybe we could teach them how to bore holes into thin logs for their supports to go into?"

"Hm, I could explain the process but their towers look sturdy enough," Ghirahim replied. A sudden scream outside caught everyone's attention, Zelda rushed out to see one of the bokoblins had fallen off the tower and the platform was now leaning. The bokoblin got back up and began to yell at the tower itself, the sight was a little comical. "On second thought, I think I shall explain it." he turned to the leader and began to speak in that strange language. She smiled a bit, then frowned and walked over inspecting the tower. A snap brought her attention back to Ghirahim, who had conjured up some rope and was now showing some bokoblins how to tie the rope to the horses. She presumed it was to drag logs as he then made a loop and tied it just so. He also conjured a couple of axes and a hand turn drill for boreing the wood, before walking her way.

"I'm going to show them how to collect and bring back the logs," he said. She nodded and he made his way back to his own horse, then he and the two bokoblins headed out. She went back inside and sat at the fire, accepting a cooked fish from the female.

"Thank you," She said, uncertain if the bokoblin could understand her. Her little one was also eating and playing a little with a smaller bokoblin who had decided to eat beside him. Could all monsters have families? She wondered. If they could then it made her feel terrible, Link had been fight and killing them for her for years. Sana accepted a fish and sat beside her, it was amazing, yet it was also sad. What if bokoblins and hylians really could get along normally? What if she had ruined the only chance at peace? Was peace really possible? She was beginning to see a different world now, where monsters and all other races could live in harmony. She wasn't really sure about the still violent tribes of bokoblins and maybe even some other more violent monsters. But this tribe who welcomed them and many others who would open their homes, caves or what not perhaps could.

Even the gold lynel from earlier, Gerol, he might even be able to be given the option of peace. She wondered if all Lynels would accept peace, if one so strong did. It would have to be a question for another time of course, plus these bokoblins didn't know hylian. She watched as he son played, she wasn't sure why but she was certain her son could understand them but did they understand him? One made what sounded like laughing noises and she grinned, maybe they did. The female bokoblin from earlier handed her a crude clay cup with what looked like juice inside.

"Thank you," She said. She drank it surprised it tasted just like apples, where had they gotten them? Maybe this bokoblin had her mounted warriors out looking for them earlier, maybe she had been out looking for them as well. The female made a soft grunt and sat down beside the fire, he eyes focused on the dancing flame for a little while. She placed her empty plate on the others and asked if she could wash them, the bokoblin female took half the plates and led her to a small waterfall. The female handed her a cloth and she helped to clean the plates, handing them to another bokoblin who joined them. It was kind of nice to do little things like this, maybe even relaxing Sana joined them with her plate rinsing it and placing it on the pile of clean. After all the plates were clean she took a few back, noticing the other bokoblin was struggling a bit and the female bokoblin did the same with a tiny snorting laugh. They walked back to the skull shaped camp, once inside they placed the plates on a makeshift wooden table made by tying long straight sticks close together. It also remained close to the ground only kept up by two sticks, that were at the each end, perpendicular to the others and tied in place. All of their furniture was rather crude, so trade would offer them not only knowledge but better furniture as well as food to choose from.

Zelda smiled as she made her and her son's beds, placing it near Sana's. Some of the bokoblins settled in for sleep as well, she supposed even they needed to sleep sometimes. She yawned as she laid down, Mikael lay between her and Sana. It wasn't long until she was asleep, drifting off into the dark abyss.

*intercept's* Hey guys another chappie and yeah I did scuff the lore on this game a little but I fixed the first chappie and I am still not sure about lore in general about BotW but yeah maybe BotW2 will shed some light or raise even more questions yeah? Anyway this is open for discussion let me know in the comments or in my discord what you think. Do you believe that the calamity 10,000 years ago was Demise? Or do you thin the Calamity Ganon was a thing back then? Or could it be related to something different entirely? Anyway see you all in the next chappie hope it can provide some more action! xD
