Okay, sorry for not posting for some time, watching volume 8 has drained my emotions, plus while watching the episodes I've been getting ideas for my RWBY Fanfic's that are on my list and the once that are still in the works and I had to write them down before I forget, I've got loads of changes to make, plus with the UK lockdown starting to ease up, I've gotten back to work, so it may be awhile before I post any more chapters.

However I'll still try to post on a Sunday if I can, thank you for your patience.

Hope you enjoy it.

I do not own RWBY.

Love Swims Deep

Chapter 3

Dawn approaches, the sound gently sound of the waves hitting the rocks soon wakes Blake from her slumber. The first thing she sees is the blue sky with a touch of sun rise pink, slightly spotting stars still twinkling before the sun makes them disappear for a start of a brand new day.

She blinks a couple of times getting rid of her dizziness, her head felt like it has been split open, she tried to raise her hand to touch her temple however she was so tried her body would not answer.

She groans as her headache as well as other pains are getting worse by the second, her throat was so dry as she starts coughing. That made her headache sends pulses of agony, she closes her eyes hoping it will ease. With her eyes still closed, she felt a hand on her cheek, Blake remembered the same warmth from before. She opened her eyes to see a young woman about the same aged as her, with long blonde hair that was as bright as the sun an with her bright lilac eyes meeting with her own.

"W-Where I'm I?" Blake manged to say with a hoarse voice.

She tries sit up but the blonde places her hand on Blake's uninjured shoulder stopping her from doing it.

"I wouldn't get up just yet, you've stopped bleeding but it would be best not to move."

Blake remains still, starting to regain movement in her arms, she traces where Torchwick cut her, feeling a wet paste, she brings her hand to her sight, seeing the green paste on her three of fingertips.

"You saved my life," Blake says. "Thank you."

"You're welcome," the blonde replies. "I need to get you back to the beach."

Blake started to notice that the ribbon is not on her cat ears as she moves them at ease.

'Must have lost it when I fell into ocean,' she thought.

"Is the coast clear?" she heard the blonde speak.

'Is there someone else here?' Blake thought.

"Yep, all clear and the tied is coming in too," said the second, feminine younger voice.

And she was right, her half dry clothes are becoming wet again by the sea, the blonde carefully lifts Blake back into the waters, being weightless as she is guided back to shore, it was not long before she felt the sands on the back of her feet. The moment the blonde lied the Captain down on the sands as the waves calmly move back and forth.

"So, wants your name?" asked the blonde.

"Blake."

"I'm Yang."

"YANG! Someone's coming!"

"I've got to go," Yang says, quickly moving away.

Blake tries to get up with what strength she had, a painful sting on her lower abdomen, but still sits up slightly, her eyes widen the moment she saw a golden tail driving into the sea, speechless she could not believe it, she was saved by a mermaid. Either from shock or loss of blood she becomes lightheaded and passes out.

"We've been searching all night." Sage says. "There's no sign of her."

Sun and his mates are walking along the beach.

"We got to keep looking it takes more than that to get rid of her," Sun replied.

"Guys look!" Scarlet says, pointing ahead of them.

"Blake" sun yelled, running pass Scarlet.

The boys quickly run after the Monkey Faunus, sun got the Blake as fast as he could, and quickly checks for a pulse.

"Cap! Blake! Can you hear me?"

Scarlet and Sage have made it to their side.

"Scarlet head back," Sage stated. "Tell the others and get a doctor at the ready."

Scarlet started running back.

"Is she?"

"She's alive," Sun replied. "but what is this stuff on her?"

"Maybe a healer found her first?"

"It doesn't matter, let's get her back," Sun says picking up Blake bridal style.

They make their way of the beach, completely unaware that two Mermaids watching them from afar.

"She didn't see you tail did she?" Ruby asked.

"I don't think so," Yang respond. "And you?"

"Nope, come on we need to head back."

Ruby dives into the ocean, Yang was about to follow but stops herself, she sees something black and thin floating, she picks it out of the water, it is Blake's ribbon that once covered her cat ears. Yang looks back to we're the two men hurried away from and back at the ribbon.

She tries it around her hand and wrist, once it was good and tight she dives into ocean as the sun rises high.
