Hello again everyone! I have some new children and I also have things to explain. I will only start bashing a character when they have done something to hurt the Doctor. It's obvious Mickey doesn't like the Doctor for while, but I promise that by the time I get to the episode with Jack, Mickey won't have that much bashing. I don't like Martha, but she's in love with the Doctor right away, so I won't do any bashing until after she leaves, but even then, it won't be too much. At one point, each of the companions will get bashed, but not as much as Mickey because think the Doctor has always been a little insecure about the fact that he is an alien.
And do not worry, I will not be skipping episodes, no matter how much I hate the episode, or how sad it is. They will not be out of order, either.
I also think I figured out when I should bring the Master from, but I still want your guys' opinions first to see if they are any better.
catspats31: Thank you for letting me know, but there are plenty of people that do the exact same thing as me, using direct dialogue, but I am going to keep doing this until my story either gets deleted, or my account is suspended. I understand that I am not allowed to copy off of anyone, but there are many of these stories that do use direct dialogue as well, and I'm pretty sure none of them have been penalized for that. I also want to say that I appreciate you writing your review and that I have been meaning to address this, but I have had no good reason for it. Have a good day!

Everyone shifted in their seats, waiting for the next episode to start. The Doctors were all talking to each other very seriously, and this time Jack could hear what they were saying.
"Are you sure I can trust Mickey?" 9 asked hesitantly.
"He gets better... He really is a good guy!" 11 replied.
"Eh, he's an idiot. Might want to wait a bit to trust him." 10 said. He really wasn't feeling like talking about anyone that had been locked in the alternate universe. It was all still too fresh.
"He's smarter than some people I know" 11 said with an insulting cough.
"Oh, you want to start this again?" 10 asked, insulted.
"Who said I was talking about you?" 11 replied.
"So you want to start it with me, then?" 9 asked.
"Oh, I'd love to." 11 responded.
"Bring it on!" 9 exclaimed.
Jack laughed at the insults that were being thrown at each other. They stayed far away from their insecurities, but anything else was allowed. 11 had the upper hand, having been 9 and all, and 9 was having to start insulting 10 a little, because he could tell 11's favorite was 10, no matter how much 11 and 10 insulted each other, which is why he felt like the little brother sometimes.[I really hope you're starting to pick up on this. I am thinking of eventually writing an AU where the doctor's are picking themselves up after they are free from their abusive father. I am only going to use these three, but the others will be mentioned. Thoughts?]
9 and 11's insult fest was paused by Zachariah appearing and saying he was having a few difficulties with the next episode, and that he was going to be a few more minutes.
Jack tuned out the Doctors and focused on Rose and Mickey.
"I'm telling you! You've no reason to be rude to him!" Rose exclaimed.
"But what if he hurts you! Or if he's too busy actually saving the Earth, and doesn't have time to save you. Or if he has to choose between the Earth or you, he chooses the Earth and can't save you!" Mickey growled back.
"But what if he doesn't. What if he's really just broken and sad, and I'm the one to help him!" Rose replied.
Jack rolled his eyes. Of course the Doctor was trustworthy. He did everything for a reason, right? He hoped he was, because he had to know why the Doctor left him.
He looked over at Martha. She was talking quietly with River, Amy, and Rory. Good thing not everyone was fighting. Jack felt slightly out of place. It seemed the Doctor were having a hard time talking or thinking about the people of his past, and everyone else was preoccupied with each other. Jack wanted someone he could talk to. He was saved from asking when he saw Zachariah.
"I fixed it! I fixed it! You can continue watching!" He said slightly breathless. "I'm gonna go take a nap, so if you guys start fighting, I'm going to be real angry."
Everyone fell silent as they looked at the screen.
[Tardis]
(Carrying straight on from the last episode. The Doctor and Rose are lit in green light from the time rotor.)
Doctor: Right then, Rose Tyler, you tell me. Where do you want to go? Backwards or forwards in time. It's your choice. What's it going to be?
"Forwards!" River, Rory, and Martha yelled at the same time Amy and Jack yelled "Backwards!"
Rose took a few seconds and said, "Forwards."
Mickey just glared at them before quietly saying, "Backwards."
9 looked at his future regenerations and they nodded, encouraging him to respond. "I've always liked going backwards in time to see how much humans have improved themselves over the years."
Mickey gave him a look of confusion and contempt. "Y-yeah, I've always liked building things. That all started back then, yeah? It would be interesting to see how people thought then vs. now on how to build something."
They fell into a slightly less awkward silence.
Rose: Forwards.
Doctor: How far?
Rose: One hundred years.
(A few seconds of travel.)
Doctor: There you go. Step outside those doors, it's twenty second century.
Rose: You're kidding.
Doctor: That's a bit boring, though. Do you want to go further?
Rose: Fine by me.
Doctor: Ten thousand years in the future. Step outside, it's the year 12005, the new Roman Empire.
11, Amy, Rory, and River reacted slightly when that was said. They all felt a connection to the future, Rory and Amy especially.
10 gave 11 a questioning look, that was also filled with worry. 11 shook his head in response, saying that he had no intention of explaining.
Rose: You think you're so impressive.
9 looked rightfully offended. "Like you could go that far by yourself."
Rose looked at him, and smirked. "Yawn. I abandoned my boyfriend to go with you. I expect better."
"As if. All it took was the mention of time travel to get you to come with me. Are you using me for something?"
"I could ask for a favor at one point."
Doctor: I am so impressive.
Rose: You wish.
Doctor: Right then, you asked for it. I know exactly where to go. Hold on!
(The Tardis zooms down a time time vortex.)
Rose: Where are we? What's out there?
[Gallery 15]
"Oh! Right, I remember this!" 10 and 11 say at the same time. They share a heated glare, before they burst out laughing, then they stop. They sigh, now apparently depressed.
"What is it with you two? It's like you have the same mindset." 9 says to them.
11 then glares at 10. "He... Did bad stuff."
10 looked at him curiously. "What did I do?"
"Bad stuff."
9 and 10 look at 11, willing him to answer. He doesn't.
(Rose goes down a flight of steps and a large shutter in the wall descends to reveal an orbital view of the Earth.)
Doctor: You lot, you spend all your time thinking about dying, like you're going to get killed by eggs or beef or global warming or asteroids. But you never take the time to imagine the impossible, that maybe you survive. This is the year five point five slash apple slash twenty six. Five billion years in your future, and this is the day
(He looks down at his watch.)
Doctor: Hold on.
(The sun flares red.)
Doctor: This is the day the sun expands. Welcome to the end of the world.
[Space]
(A pair of small spaceships approach a large cruciform space station hanging in Earth orbit.)
Computer: Shuttles five and six now docking. Guests are reminded that Platform One forbids the use of weapons, teleportation and religion. Earth death is scheduled for fifteen thirty nine.
[Platform One]
Computer: Followed by drinks in the Manchester Suite.
(The Doctor and Rose walk along a corridor.)
Rose: So, when it says guests, does that mean people?
Doctor: Depends on what you mean by people.
11 had mocked this line in voice that kind of sounded like 9's, but was still high pitched, at the same time 9 on the screen said it.
Everyone but 10 looked at him in confusion.
Rose: I mean people. What do you mean?
Doctor: Aliens.
Rose: What are they doing on board this spaceship? What's it all for?
Doctor: It's not really a spaceship, more like an observation deck. The great and the good are gathering to watch the planet burn.
"Is this going to be how you save it?" Amy asked excitedly.
9 looked at her in confusion. "No...? If the planet is going to be destroyed after the sun explodes, then that's going to happen. This is what happens when the National Trust runs out of money. At the time we are watching, the sun should have exploded billions of years before this, when Humans predicted it would explode."
"But what about all the people on it?" Rory asked.
"What... People? Do you have no faith that you are able to leave the planet at some point?"
That shut Rory up.
(The Doctor uses his sonic screwdriver on a wall panel.)
Rose: What for?
Doctor: Fun.
[Observation gallery]
(A large area with a few display cases and a view of space to the front and above.)
Doctor: Mind you, when I said the great and the good, what I mean is, the rich.
"Of course," Mickey said sarcastically. "Always the ones with the money. Tell me, Doctor, how much have you saved up in that machine of yours?
"Mickey!" Rose scolded.
"First of all, Ricky, I don't have any money stocked up in my Tardis. And two, my Tardis is so much more than a machine, so if you ever classify her like that again..."
9 left the threat hang in the hair. The tension was thick until Mickey said, "Hey! My name is Mickey!"
"Right, like I said, Ricky."
"Mickey."
"Ricky."
They were about to continue fighting, but Zachariah appeared with bags under his eyes and yelled at them that he was tired and that they better shut up before he makes them.
Rose: But, hold on. They did this once on Newsround Extra. The sun expanding, that takes hundreds of years.
Doctor: Millions, but the planet's now property of the National Trust. They've been keeping it preserved. See down there? Gravity satellites holding back the sun.
Rose: The planet looks the same as ever. I thought the continents shifted and things.
Doctor: They did, and the Trust shifted them back. That's a classic Earth. But now the money's run out, nature takes over.
Rose: How long's it got?
Doctor: About half an hour and then the planet gets roasted.
Rose: Is that why we're here? I mean, is that what you do? Jump in at the last minute and save the Earth?
Doctor: I'm not saving it. Time's up.
Rose: But what about the people?
Doctor: It's empty. They're all gone. No one left.
Rose: Just me, then.
(A blue-skinned person with golden slit eyes strides towards them.)
Steward: Who the hell are you?
Doctor: Oh, that's nice, thanks.
"Yeah, it was really rude." Donna says.
"You'd think aliens were nicer." Martha said.
"Martha, it was aliens that brought us to the moon with limited air supply. Do you really think that they would be nicer?" 10 replies to her.
"Well, you're nice. That's got to count for something." Martha explained.
The three Doctor felt their day get a little better after that.
Steward: But how did you get in? This is a maximum hospitality zone. The guest have disembarked. They're on their way any second now.
Doctor: That's me. I'm a guest. Look, I've got an invitation. The Doctor plus one. I'm the Doctor, this is Rose Tyler. She's my plus one. Is that all right?
(The Doctor puts away the apparently blank piece of paper he was showing the steward.)
"What's that, then?" Mickey asked. He was genuinely interested. It was a blank paper. How did the steward fall for that?
Mickey's question went ignored by almost everyone, even though 10 and 11 were trying to get 9 to tell Mickey what the paper was, so that the tension in the room between the two would lesson.
Steward: Well, obviously. Apologies, et cetera. If you're on board, we'd better start. Enjoy.
(The steward goes over to a lecturn.)
Doctor: The paper's slightly psychic. It shows them whatever I want them to see. Saves a lot of time.
Rose: He's blue.
Doctor: Yeah.
Rose: Okay.
Steward: We have in attendance the Doctor and Rose Tyler. Thank you. All staff to their positions.
(A lot of small people appear.)
Steward: Hurry, now, thank you. Quick as we can. Come along, come along. And now, might i introduce the next honoured guest? Representing the Forest of Cheam, we have trees, namely, Jabe, Lute, and Coffa.
(A bark-skinned woman enters with two larger male escorts.)
Steward: There will be an exchange of gifts representing peace. If you could keep the room circulating, thank you. Next, from the solicitors Jolco and Jolco, we have the Moxx of Balhoon.
(Another blue alien, this time mostly head and body, sitting in a transport pod..)
Steward: And next, from Financial Family Seven, we have the Adherents of the Repeated Meme.
(A group of black-robed bipeds.)
9 frowned. A Repeated Meme was an idea, not an alien species. They don't have emotions, and they have one job to do until they are taken apart and that idea is either destroyed or carried out.
"But-" he was about to say when 10 clamped a hand over his mouth and whispered in his ear, "Spoilers."
"Since when do you care about those?" 11 responded, having apparently heard everything and put his head near them, as if forming a huddle, like what happens in football.
The two of them shrieked slightly. 9 was surprised he hadn't heard his future self, and 10 was surprised that 11 had the nerve to sneak on them during a 'private' conversation.
"Don't do that!" 10 reprimanded.
"What?" 11 asked innocently.
"I hate you." 9 said.
"Well, that's going to make being me real difficult. I would know." 11 said this part a little quieter than they've been talking.
10 put a hand on 11's arm. "W-was it me? Is it something I did? Is it the 'bad thing'?"
11 just gave him a pained look. "It hurts everyday because of you."
"Tell me what I did."
"You'll find out."
"Why can't I kn-"
11 grabbed 10's arm and tightened his grip until it was almost painful. "I said you'll find out. Don't ask me again."
10 looked at his future self with fear before nodding ever so slightly.
"Good."
Everyone was looking at them with fear, well, they were looking at 11 with fear and pity at the other two. River decided enough was enough and put her hand on 11's shoulder softly. He flinched, and looked at River. His eyes widened as he realized who it was and released his past regeneration. "Sorry." 11 said quickly and moved away from River to his seat.
They all felt awkward and went back to their seats and waited for 11 to finish apologizing to 10.
Steward: The inventors if the Hypo-slip Travel Systems, the brothers of Hop Pyleen. Thank you.
(Fur clad reptilians. The announcements of variations on the biped theme continue.)
Steward: Cal Spark Plug. Mister and Mrs Pakoo. The ambassadors from the City State of Binding Light.
(The trees go up to the Doctor.)
Jabe: The Gift of Peace. I bring you a cutting of my Grandfather.
(She gives the Doctor a rooted twig in a small pot.)
Doctor: Thank you. Yes, gifts. Er, I give you in return air from my lungs.
(He breathes gently on Jabe.)
Jabe: How intimate.
Doctor: There's more where that came from.
"I'd like to see th-" Jack is shot before he could finish his statement. [I apologize for the fact that Jack gets shot a lot.]
Jack gasps back to life after a few seconds.
Jabe: I bet there is.
Steward: From the silver Devastation, the sponsor of the main event, please welcome the Face of Boe.
(A large glass case barely makes it through the doorway. It contains a giant humanoid head with straggly hair and squinting eyes.)
"What!? What the-I-I-What!?" Jack yells in outrage. "I was supposed to-" He cries in anguish.
"What is he talking about?" Martha was slightly creeped out by Jack, and this made it worse.
"N-nothing. I-it's s-spoilers!" 11 barely got out before he burst into laughter.
9 and 10 were slightly taken aback by 11, but they didn't want to see him in a dark mood, so they left their questions unanswered.
Doctor: The Moxx of Balhoon.
Moxx: My felicitations on this historical happenstance. I give you the gift of my bodily salivas.
(Moxx's spit hits Rose in the face.)
Doctor: Thank you very much.
"Rude." Donna said simply.
"I disagree." The Doctor's all said at the same time.
"What?"
"Aliens have different cultures have different ways of showing they make peace with someone. Balhoons [I'm guessing that's what their species is called] ways are bodily saliva."
"Can't they tell she's human, though? Wouldn't they know it's rude to our culture?" Amy asked.
"Amy, some aliens haven't even heard of humans before. Whenever a planet explodes, aliens are requested to attend. Exceptions being Time Lords. Most wouldn't dare step foot on Gallifrey, let alone invite us somewhere. If a Time Lord does want to come, they are to dress in their traditional garb, and attend. No invitation needed, because we are highly respected. As the last species of aliens being created, and then going back in time to make us the first species, makes us the oldest and most beautiful species." 11 responded.
"You're from an ancient species?" Rory asked, apparently interested.
"Yeah."
"Cool."
Awkward silence.
(The black-robed group glide up.)
Doctor: Ah! The Adherent's of the Repeated Meme. I bring you air from my lungs.
(A large metal hand holds out a ball.)
Adherent: A gift of peace in all good faith.
Steward: And last, but not least, our very special guest. Ladies and gentlemen, and trees, and multiforms, consider the Earth below. In memory of this dying world, we call forth the last human. The Lady Cassandra O'Brien Dot Delta Seventeen.
(A face in a piece of thin skin stretched in a rectangular frame is wheeled in by two men hidden in a top-to-toe hospital whites. She is modelled on, and voiced by, Zoe Wanamaker.)
Cassandra: Oh, now, don't stare. I know, I know it's shocking, isn't it. I've had my chin completely taken away and look at the difference. Look how thin I am. Thin and dainty. I don't look a day over two thousand. Moisturize me. Moisturize me.
(One of her attendants uses a pump spray on her skin.)
Cassandra: Truly, I am the last Human. My father was a Texan, my mother was from the Arctic Desert. They were born on Earth and were the last to be buried in its soil. I have come to honour them and say goodbye. Oh, no tears, no tears. I'm sorry. But behold, I bring gifts. From Earth itself, the last remaining ostrich egg. Legend says it had a wingspan of fifty feet and blew fire from its nostrils. Or was that my third husband? Oh, no. Oh, don't laugh. I'll get laughter lines. And here, another rarity.
(Rose has walked around the back of Cassandra to see just how thin she is, and a 50's juke box is wheeled in.)
Cassandra: According to the archives, this was called an iPod. It stores classical music from humanities greatest composers. Play on!
(One of the little attendants presses a button, a 45 is selected and the strains of Tainted Love by Soft Cell ring out.)
Finally, everyone except the Doctors and River felt the shock of Cassandra wear off.
"S-she was-wasn't-that-couldn't-but-" Donna tried to make sense of Cassandra's look.
"That wasn't human. Couldn't have been." Mickey said, horrified.
"Do we... Look like that in the future?" Amy asked hesitantly.
"Nah. You guys mingle." 10 replied.
They calmed down a little after hearing that. Anything was better than being... That.
Meanwhile in the control room, Zachariah was playing with the buttons on his remote and found a button that would make fights stop if they went too far. He pressed it. Every time he teleported in and out of this room, he lost a lot of energy and would need much sleep to keep himself up. He wondered what would happen the next time anyone would fight.
Steward: Refreshments will now be served. Earth death in thirty minutes.
(Rose finally cant take the aliens, and runs out. The Doctor goes to follow her, but gets intercepted.)
Jabe: Doctor?
(Flash! from a device she is holding. A type of camera, probably.)
Jabe: Thank you.
Adherent: A gift of peace in all good faith.
Steward: No, you're very kind, but I'm just the Steward.
Adherent: A gift of peace in all good faith.
Steward: Well, yes, thank you. Of course.
(The Steward takes the proffered ball. Jabe consults her camera, which twitters like a bird.)
Jabe: Identify species. Please identify species. Now stop it. Identify his race. Where's he from? It's impossible.
(She hurries away. One of the Adherent's gifts has been place on a shelf in a display stand. It opens, and a four-legged spider scurries away.)
"That can't be good." River says quietly.
"Nope." 9 says, smirking. "Isn't it fantastic?"
"Yes, quite. Fantastic." 11 said sophisticatedly.
"Yes, yes." 10 replied in the same voice.
"Why do you do this to me?" 9 asked.
"Fun." The replied at the same time.
[Corridor]
(Rose has wondered off, and is looking at the growing Sun through a window when a young woman of the same race as the Steward comes round the corner. She is wearing overalls and a baseball cap.)
Rose: Sorry. Am I allowed to be in here?
Raffalo: You have to give us permission to talk.
"Is there really racism that far in the future?" Martha asks sadly.
"Unfortunately, yes. Humans have figured out that it doesn't matter your skin type, but aliens have yet to do so. The only reason a few of them are wiling to accept other races is because Time Lords aren't racist, well, only towards humans but that doesn't matter right now. What I'm saying is that there are some species that worshipped the ground Time Lords walked on, and if they could accept other species, so could everyone else." 9 replied.
"That's good, I guess." Martha says.
Rose: Er, you have permission.
Raffalo: Thank you. And, no, you're not in the way. Guests are allowed to be anywhere.
Rose: Okay.
(Raffalo goes to a wall panel and unlocks it.)
Rose: What's your name?
Raffalo: Raffalo.
Rose: Raffalo?
Raffalo: Yes, miss. I won't be long, I've just got to carry out some maintenance. There's a tiny little glitch in the Face of Boe's suite. There must be something blocking the system. He's not getting any hot water.
Rose: So, you're a plumber?
Raffalo: That's right, miss.
Rose: They still have plumbers?
Raffalo: I hope so miss, else I'm out of a job.
Rose: Where are you from?
Raffalo: Crespallion.
Rose: That's a planet, is it?
Raffalo: No. Crespallion's part of the Jaggit Convex fifty six. And where are you from, miss? If you don't mind me asking.
Rose: No, not at all. Er, I don't know. A long way away. I just sort of hitched a lift with this man. I didn't even think about it. I don't even know who he is. He's a complete stranger. Anyway, don't let me keep you. Good luck with it.
9 sunk in his seat slightly. He should have known that not everyone would be fine with just coming with him. He should have known that Rose was going to react this way. He should have known that he shouldn't have gotten his hopes up. He should have known that if he was depressed about anything Rose wouldn't have liked him. If only he hadn't destroyed Gallifrey. If only he could have been better and found a different way to end the war. If only...
Mickey looked over at the Doctor and saw him slump in his seat. He must be feeling real bad about taking Rose from him. His Rose would want to come in no time and the two of them would be back together and the world be right again. Rose shouldn't have gone with the Doctor. Period. But the way she was talking... Made Mickey feel like this was good for Rose. Seeing the universe. Maybe she was right. Maybe the two did need each other. Maybe he should stop being a bitch and finally accept the Doctor. He should see how things play out first.
Raffalo: Thank you, miss. And er, thank you for the permission. Not many people are that considerate.
(Rose leaves. Raffalo removes the wall panel has a look inside.)
Raffalo: Now then. Control, I'm at junction nineteen and I think the problem's coming from in here. I'll go inside and have a look.
(Before she can crawl into the conduit, there is a tapping sound of metal on metal.
Raffalo: What's that? Is something there?
(A metal spider comes toward her.)
Raffalo: Oh! Who are you, then?
(It scuttles away.)
Raffalo: Hold on! If you're an upgrade I just need to register you, that's all. Oh, come back.
(She gets inside the conduit.)
Ruffalo: Ah, there you are. Now, I just need to register your ident. Oh, there's two fo you. Got yourself a little mate. I think I'd better report this to Control. How many of you are there? What are you? Oh, no, no, no!
(Raffalo gets dragged along the conduit.)
"She was really nice. Wish I was able to meet her. Woulda told her that she don't need no one." Jack said.
"Yeah. Can't wait to meet her." Rose replied.
[Steward's office]
(The Steward puts his gift on a side table and sits at his desk. The computer beeps and burbles at him.)
Steward: What's that? Well, how should I know?
(He makes a broadcast.)
Steward: Would the owner of the blue box in private gallery fifteen please report to the Steward's office imediately. Guests are reminded that use of teleportation devices is strictly forbidden under Peace Treaty point four slash cup slash sixteen. Thank you.
(The ball hatches into another spider.)
[Space]
Computer: Earth Death in twenty five minutes.
[Gallery 15]
(Rose is playing with the ball.)
Computer: Earth Death in twenty five minutes.
Rose: Oh, thanks.
(She puts the ball down and picks up the plant pot.)
Rose: Hello. My name's Rose. That's a sort of plant. We might be related. I'm talking to a twig.
(The ball hatches.)
"Hey, don't blame yourself. I remember the first time I was given a tree. I talked to it for hours as if it were the best person to be around." 9 replied.
"That was a nice tree." 10 said.
"It was so nice that we tried to-" 11 started. 10 leapt up and clamped a hand around 11's mouth as 9 went a bright red.
"Now I'm interested." Jack and River said at the same time.
10 slowly let go 11's head, making sure that he knew that if he said another word, 10 would do it again. 11 just grinned at him.
[Outside Gallery 15]
(The little assistants are wheeling the Tardis away.)
Doctor: Oi, now, careful with that. Park it properly. No scratches.
(One of them hands the Doctor a ticket. It says on one side - Have A Nice Day. A pair of spiders scuttle along the ceiling.)
[Gallery 15]
(The spider scans Rose's hand then scuttles away when the Doctor calls out.)
Doctor[OC]: Rose? Are you in there?
(The Doctor enter.)
Doctor: Aye, aye. What do you think, then?
Rose: Great. Yeah, fine. Once you get past the slightly psychic paper. They're just so alien. The aliens are so alien. You look at 'em and they're alien.
Doctor: Good thing I didn't take you to Deep South.
Rose: Where are you from?
Doctor: All over the place.
Rose: They all speak English.
Doctor: No, you just hear English. It's a gift of the Tardis. The telepathic field, gets inside your brain and translates.
"What? Is consent really not necessary? Does you little machine just do whatever it wants with my head? Makes it seem like I'm havin' a good time when I'm not. Can it do that?" Rose asks in anger.
"Does that with everyone. Even the people who don't want it." 9 replied.
"Still doesn't make it right."
"Just be glad it only translates languages. If you let the Tardis really get in your head, it can seriously mess you up. I've seen it happen. I've made it happen."
10 places a hand on 9's shoulder. "Sorry. Didn't mean that." 9 said.
"Uh, yeah. 'S fine." Rose replied.
Rose: It's inside my brain?
Doctor: Well, in a good way.
Rose: Your machine gets inside my head. It gets inside and it changes m mind, and you didn't even ask?
Doctor: I didn't think about it like that.
Rose: No, you were too busy thinking up cheap shots about the Deep South. Who are you, then, Doctor? What are you called? What sort of alien are you?
9 shifted in his seat, hoping he wouldn't have to admit anything yet.
Doctor: I'm just the Doctor.
Rose: From what planet?
Doctor: Well, it's not as if you know where it is.
Rose: Where are you from?
Doctor: What does it matter?
Rose: Tell me who you are!
Doctor: This is who I am, right here, right now, all right? All that counts is here and now, and this is me.
Rose: Yeah, and I'm here too because you brought me here, so just tell me.
Computer: Earth death in twenty minutes. Earth death in twenty minutes.
Rose: All right. As my mate Shareen says, don't argue with the designated driver.
(Rose takes out a mobile phone.)
Rose: Can't exactly call for a taxi. There's no signal. We're out of range. Just a bit.
Doctor: Tell you what.
(He takes her phone apart.)
Doctor: With a little bit of jiggery pokery.
Rose: Is that a technical term, jiggery pokery?
Doctor: Yeah, I came first in jiggery pokery. What about you?
11 reminisced about his days back at the Academy. He would compete with the Master for every subject, the latter rarely ever doing good. His best subject was jiggery pokery, but he rarely ever had to use it on his Tardis. Well, he could fix the cloning mechanism, but he's rather keep the police box. It made Humans very confused and a little more respective of him. Well, the police anyway. He liked making his companions second guess everything in their lives before realizing that it was normal for Time Lords to have abnormal things about them, and the normality the Doctor feels makes his companions feel normal, too.
11 shook himself, first he was thinking about his best friend/enemy, and now he was thinking about how he was actually horrible to his companions.
Rose: No, I failed hullabaloo.
Doctor: Rose: Oh. Here you go.
(Rose phones home.)
Jackie [OC]: Hello?
Rose: Mum?
Jackie [OC]: Oh, what is it?
[The Tyler flat]
(Jackie is emptying the washing machine.)
Jackie: What's wrong? What have I done now? Oh, this red top's falling to bits.
[Gallery 15]
Jackie [OC]: You should get your money back. Go on.
[The Tyler flat]
Jackie: There must be something, you never phone in the middle of the day.
[Gallery 15]
Jackie [OC]: What's so funny?
Rose: Nothing. You all right, though?
[The Tyler flat]
Jackie: Yeah. Why wouldn't I be?
[Gallery 15]
Rose: What day is it?
[The Tyler flat]
Jackie: Wednesday, all day. You got a hangover?
[Gallery 15]
Jackie: Oh, I tell you what. Put a quid in that Lottery syndicate. I'll pay you back later.
Rose: Yeah, er, I was just calling cos'
[The Tyler flat]
Rose [OC]: I might be home late.
Jackie: Is there something wrong?
[Gallery 15]
Rose: No. I'm fine. Top of the world.
(Jackie rings off.)
Doctor: Think that's amazing, you want to see the bill.
Rose: That was five billion years ago. So, she's dead now. Five billion years later, my mum's dead.
Doctor: Bundle of laughs, you are.
"You know, I couldn't say I would exactly miss my mum. I mean, I barely remember her..." Amy said.
"You didn't know your mother?" Donna asked, slightly heartbroken.
"No. Had to explain that to the Doctor the first time I met him. Raggedy man."
11 tensed as he heard what Amy said. He hadn't been able to get over his guilt with that.
10 looked at 11, sensing his tension. "What's up with you?" he asked quietly.
"Nothing to concern yourself with. Yet." 11 replied.
10 stared at his future regeneration. Just what are you hiding? Well lots of things. What are you hiding this time?
(The space station shakes.)
Doctor: That's not supposed to happen.
"You sound a little too happy, there." Micky chided.
"Well, it's not fun without something going on." 9 replied.
"Yeah, it's only not fun when someone dies. Even then, you'd still have fun, right?"
9 bit back a remark, one person was bad, but it only started to get really bad once a few people died. And he didn't know that one person died in the future, right?
[Stewards office]
Steward: Well, what was it? I'm just getting green lights at this end.
(He makes a calm broadcast.)
Steward: Honoured guests may be reassured that gravity pockets may cause slight turbulence, thanking you.
(He berates Control.)
Steward: The whole place shook! I felt it. I've hosted all sorts of events on Platforms One, Three, Six, and Fifteen and I've never felt the slightest tremor. I warn you, if this lot decide to sue. I'm going to scan the infrastructure.
(He does so, then hears a scuttling sound.)
Steward: What's that? Control, I don't want to worry you, but I'm picking up readings. I have no idea. Well, they're small. The scan says they're metal. I don't know what they look like!
(Then he sees one on the desk.)
Steward: Although I imagine they might look rather like that. You're not on the guest list. How did you get on board
(The spider pushes a button on his desk keyboard.)
Steward: No.
Computer: Sun filter deactivated.
Steward: No!
Computer: Sun filter descending.
(The room starts to fill with white light from the ceiling downwards as the filter on the window lowers.)
Steward: No! Sun filter, up! No, no, no!
Computer: External temperature four thousand degrees.
Steward: Control, respond! Sun filter up! Argh!
(The spider escapes through a small vent into the corridor.)
[Observation gallery]
"Not so fantastic now, huh." Mickey taunted.
"No personal connection. Haven't had one good interaction. No feelings of remorse required." 9 responded.
"What about the other one?"
"Didn't meet her directly. Companion met her. Good interaction. Small amount of remorse felt."
"I, for one, feel so bad that he had to die." 10 jumped in.
"Uh, yeah. Me too." 11 said.
Mickey rolled his eyes. He didn't care about the Doctor so long as he takes care of Rose.
Moxx: Indubitably, this is the Bad Wolf scenario. I find the inherent laxity of the on-going multiverse.
10 and 11 sat straight up, they didn't know that this was a scenario. They had just seen Bad Wolf on The Face of Boe's tank. They knew that everywhere Rose went with 9, there was something to do with Bad Wolf, they also knew there were a few 'scenarios' they just didn't know this was one of them.
9 looked at them. What was it that made them sit like that. They were also staring at each other, like they were trying to figure something out, but they had already figured it out and were trying to put this piece of information into the equation.
(The Doctor and Rose enter.)
Doctor: That wasn't a gravity pocket. I know gravity pockets and they don't feel like that. What do you think, Jabe? Listen to the engines. They've pitched up about thirty Hertz. That dodgy or what?
Jabe: It's the sound of metal. It doesn't make any sense to me.
Doctor: Where's the engine room?
Jabe: I don't know, but the maintenance duct is just behind our guest suit, I could show you and your wife.
"No!" Rose and 9 exclaimed.
Doctor: She's not my wife.
Jabe: Partner?
Doctor: No.
Jabe: Concubine?
Doctor: No.
Jabe: Prostitute?
"Oi!" Rose yelled out offensively.
"Don't worry, you don't look remotely like a prostitute." 9 responded, a little miffed about someone he knows in the future being called a prostitute by a talking tree.
"Well, that doesn't mean you're not very... Beautiful." 10 said, blushing slightly. He turned to 11 and whispered, "It is beautiful, right?"
11 gave a confuse shrug.
'Domestics?' 9 mouthed in a question toward 11. 11 just gestured toward his past self then to 9, then gave a shrug like he was giving up hope.
Rose just stared at 10. Did he have a crush on her? She wasn't sure if she was ready to leave Mickey yet. 10 was very dashing though...
Rose: Whatever I am, it must be invisible. Do you mind? Tell you what, you two go and pollinate. I'm going to catch up with family. Quick word with Michael Jackson.
(Rose goes to talk to Cassandra.)
Doctor: Don't start a fight.
"Oh, I would never dare!" Rose said, mocking Cassandra.
"Oh, that seems new." 9 replied.
*Offended Rose Noises*
(He offers his arm to Jabe.)
Doctor: I'm all yours.
Rose: And I want you home by midnight.
"But, Muuuuuum!" 9 said in a whiny voice.
"Do you want to make it 11 pm, Mister?" Rose said, teasing.
"Mum! You can't! It's not fair!"
"Right, 10 pm, it is."
*Offended 9th Doctor Noises*
Computer: Earth Death in fifteen minutes. Earth Death in fifteen minutes.
[Maintenance duct]
(A multitude of spiders scuttle out of sight behind the swags of wiring and piping.)
Doctor: Who's in charge of Platform One? Is there a Captain or what?
Jabe: There's just the Steward and the staff. All the rest is controlled by the metal mind.
Doctor: You mean the Computer? But who controls that?
Jabe: The Corporation. They move Platform One from one artistic event to another.
Doctor: But there's no one from the Corporation on board.
Jabe: They're not needed. This facility is purely automatic. It's the height of the Alpha class. Nothing can go wrong.
Doctor: Unsinkable?
Jabe: If you like. The nautical metaphor is appropriate.
Doctor: You're telling me. I was on board another ship once. They said it was unsinkable. I ended up clinging to an iceberg. It wasn't half cold.
"Idiot." River mutters. She wasn't all too surprised, though.
"Then maybe next time, let me sacrifice myself to get rid of idiocy to save you." 11 muttered bitterly.
River looked at 11 in surprise. They had already met. She thought that 11 hadn't recognized her, but now... Wait, what did he just say? That he had to sacrifice himself, but I found another way to save everyone?
Doctor: So, what you're saying is, if we get in trouble there's no one to help us out?
Jabe: I'm afraid not.
Doctor: Fantastic.
"Oh, yeah. Dozens of people dying because no one was there to help." Mickey said sarcastically.
"Okay, at this point I've probably already figured out that something was wrong so I was saying fantastic so that I could get myself into the mindset to help." 9 responded, unable to get his anger in control this time.
He hadn't yelled, but Mickey knew well enough to shut up.
Jabe: I don't understand. In what way is that fantastic?
[Observation gallery]
Cassandra: Soon, the sun will blossom into a red giant, and my home will die. That's where I used to live, when I was a little boy, down there. Mummy and Daddy had a little house built into the side of the Los Angeles Crevice. I'd have such fun.
"Did she just say boy?" Donna asked in confusion.
Rose: What happened to everyone else? The human race, where did it go?
Cassandra: They say mankind has touched every star in the sky.
Rose: So, you're not the last human.
Cassandra: I am the last pure human. The others mingled. Oh, they call themselves New humans and Proto-humans and Digi-humans, even 'Humanish, but you know what I call them? Mongrels.
Rose: Right. And you stayed behind.
Cassandra: I kept myself pure.
Rose: How many operations have you had?
Cassandra: Seven hundred and eight. Next week, it's seven hundred and nine. I'm having my blood bleached. Is that why you wanted a word? You could be flatter, Rose. You've got a little bit of chin poking out.
Rose covered her face, was her chin really like that? For the first time, she came in direct contact with the Doctor.
10 looked behind him to see Rose covering her face. Before he could think, he walked over to her and gently pulled her hands away from her. She looked up, and he smiled. "You are perfect the way you look. If you ever changed yourself because some piece of skin said you should, you have become a villain to yourself. You really are beautiful, Rose Tyler."
She looked him, and saw eyes that were older than anything she's ever seen. Yet, they held much more kindness than she's ever seen. Rose looked behind 10 to see 9 speaking quietly with 11, the two of them gesturing to 10 every so often. Suddenly, 11 stood up while 9 was talking and plopped down on his seat.
10 seemed to get a hold of himself and he gave her a pained look as he stood and walked back to his seat.
Rose: I'd rather die.
Cassandra: Honestly, it doesn't hurt.
Rose: No, I mean it. I would rather die. It's better to die than live like you, a bitchy trampoline.
"Damn! Rose Tyler going straight to the claws in this cat fight." Jack said, impressed. Rose blushed.
Cassandra: Oh, well. What do you know.
Rose: I was born on that planet, and so was my mum, and so was my dad, and that makes me officially the last human being in this room, 'cos you're not human. You've had it all nipped and tucked and flattened till there's nothing left. Anything human got chucked in the bin. You're just skin, Cassandra. Lipstick and skin. Nice talking.
(The Adherants watch Rose leave.)
[Maintenance duct]
Doctor: So tell me, Jabe, what's a tree like you doing in a place like this?
Jabe: Respect for the Earth.
Doctor: Oh, come on. Everyone on this platform's worth zillions.
Jabe: Well, perhaps it's a case of having to be seen at the right occasions.
Doctor: In case your share prices drop? I know you lot. You've got massive forests everywhere, roots everywhere, and there's always money in land.
Jabe: All the same, we respect the Earth as family. So many species evolved from that planet. Mankind is only one. I'm another. My ancestors were transplanted from that planet down below, and I'm a direct descendant of the tropical rainforest.
Doctor: Excuse me.
(He scans a panel door marked Welcome to Platform One. Guide of Platform One Do You Need Assistance. A keypad labelled Maintenance log in, then Access denied.)
Jabe: And what about your ancestry, Doctor? Perhaps you could tell a story or two. Perhaps a man only enjoys trouble when there's nothing else left. I scanned you earlier. The metal machine had trouble identifying your species. It refused to admit your existence. And even when it named you, I had trouble believing it. But it was right. I know where you're from. Forgive me for intruding, but it's remarkable that you even exist. I just wanted to say how sorry I am.
(She puts a hand on his arm, and the Doctor his hand over hers. A tear drops from his eye. He gets the door open.)
"Doctor, is your species dead?" Mickey asks carefully, and with sympathy.
"Yeah." 9 said, his voice cracking.
"I'm sorry." Mickey didn't specify what for, most likely his species. Maybe for the way he was acting. Maybe both. It felt nice either way.
[Engine room]
(It runs the whole depth of the Platform. The Doctor and Jabe are by a catwalk that runs through a series of large fans.)
Doctor: Is it me, or is it a bit nippy?
(In a corridor, Rose is met by the Adherants, who knock her out by pistol whipping her with a weapon. They drag her into a room.)
"Nope. Not doing it, no." 9 says, already overprotective of Rose.
"What?" Donna asks.
"Not losing someone so early."
"Ah."
Doctor: Fair do's, though, that's a great bit of air conditioning. Sort of nice and old fashioned. Bet they call it retro.
(He scans a panel.)
Doctor: Gotcha.
(He pulls it off. A spider scuttles out and up the wall.)
Doctor: What the hell's that?
"I didn't you cussed!" Amy said in surprise.
"I don't. Often." 11 replied. "Rarely." He added as an after thought.
Jabe: Is it part of the retro?
Doctor: I don't think so. Hold on.
(The Doctor aims his screwdriver at the spider, then Jabe lassos it.)
Doctor: Hey, nice liana.
Jabe: Thank you. We're not supposed to show them in public.
Doctor: Don't worry, I won't tell anybody. Now then, who's been bringing their pets on board?
Jabe: What does it do?
Doctor: Sabotage.
Computer: Earth Death in ten minutes.
Doctor: And the temperatures about to rocket. Come on.
Computer: Earth Death in ten minutes.
[Observation gallery]
Cassandra: The planet's end. Come gather, come gather. Bid farewell to the cradle of civilization. Let us mourn her with traditional ballad.
(The jukebox selects a record labeled Toxic by Britany Spears.)
"Seriously? Traditional ballad?" Rory asks.
"Well, she was born way after that song came out, and she's lived way longer than she should, so..." 11 said to Rory.
[Outside the Steward's office]
(Smoke from the room is filling the corridor and the glare is coming through a small glass panel in the door. The little assistants have gathered.)
Doctor: Hold on. Get back.
(The Doctor does the sonic thing on another small panel.)
Computer: Sun filter rising. Sun filter rising.
Jabe: Is the Steward in there?!
Doctor: You can smell him. Hold on, there's another sun filter programmed to descend.
(He runs off.)
[Gallery 15]
Computer: Sun filter descending. Sun filter descending. Sun filter descending.
(Rose wakes in time to see the deadly glare begin to fill the room. She hammers on the door.)
Rose: Let me out! Let me out!
Computer: Sun filter descending.
[Outside gallery 15]
Rose: Let me out! Let me out!
[Gallery 15]
Rose: Let me out!
Computer: Sun filter descending.
[Outside gallery 15]
Computer: Sun filter descending.
(He works the door panel.)
Doctor: Anyone in there?
[Gallery 15]
Doctor: Oh, well, it would be you.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Rose asked.
"Uh, nothing." 9 said innocently.
"Except for the fact that I always have to save my companions because they never stay put." 11 said.
"Oi!" 10 exclaimed.
[Gallery 15]
Rose: Open the door!
"No patience." 9 muttered.
"She's about to be burned alive!" Donna chided him.
"Yeah, well, she doesn't, so..." 10 says back.
[Outside gallery 15]
Doctor: Hold on. Give us two ticks.
[Gallery 15]
(The scorching rays reach the top of the door.)
Computer: Sun filter descending. Sun filter descending.
[Outside gallery 15]
Computer: Sun filter rising. Sun filter rising.
[Gallery 15]
Computer: Sun filter rising. Sun filter rising.
[Outside gallery 15]
Computer: Sun filter descending.
Doctor: Just what we need.
[Gallery 15]
Doctor [OC]: The computer's getting clever.
Rose: Stop mucking about!
[Outside gallery 15]
Doctor: I'm not mucking about. It's fighting back.
[Gallery 15]
Rose: Open the door!
Doctor [OC]: I know!
(Rose runs down the steps away from the glare as it moves down the door.)
[Outside gallery 15]
Rose [OC]: The lock's melted!
Computer: Sun filter descending. Sun filter descending. Sun filter rising. Sun filter rising.
(Rose runs back to the door.)
Doctor: The whole thing's jammed. I can't open the doors. Stay there!
[Gallery 15]
Doctor [OC]: Don't move!
Rose: Where am I going to go, Ipswich?
Computer: Earth Death in five minutes.
"I have a feeling that that isn't the end of it." Jack says.
"Me too." River says, deciding to watch the show a little more carefully.
[Observation gallery]
Jabe: The metal machine confirms. The spider devices have infiltrated the whole of Platform One.
Cassandra: How's that possible? Our private rooms are protected by a code wall. Moisturize me, moisturize me.
Moxx: Summon the Steward.
Jabe: I'm afraid the Steward is dead.
Moxx: Who killed him?
Cassandra: This whole event was sponsored by the face of Boe. He invited us. Talk to the Face. Talk to the Face.
"Watch Cassandra be the one to have done all of this." Jack said.
"Well, she's just as much a suspect as everyone else." River replied.
"Never trust a piece of skin." Rory said, gagging in disgust.
"Rory, you know it's not common for people to turn into skin, right?" Amy asked, concerned.
Rory just shrugged.
"I, for one, know that the Adherants are guilty. I mean, they did knock Rose out, right?" Mickey added.
"A repeated meme is an idea, the Adherants are being controlled by something." 9 responded.
"Well, it could be Cassandra, right? I mean, she's the last human and there is no way her surgeries are cheap. If she set them all up to die, and then escaped, she could sue whoever created Platform One and she would win because there's evidence and she would be set to have like, at least 20 more surgeries." Donna said.
10 started clapping. 11 just curled into a ball and snuggled into the chair he was in. He was tired, for some reason. It didn't happen often, but when it did, he tended to act like a cat a bit. 10 just looked at 11 and rolled his eyes.
Doctor: Easy way of finding out. Someone brought their little pet on board. Let's send him back to master.
(The Doctor puts down the spider that Jabe was scanning, and it scuttles off to Cassandra and scans her, then goes to the black gowned group.)
Cassandra: The Adherants of the Repeated Meme. J'accuse!
Doctor: That's all very well, and really kind of obvious, but if you stop and think about it...
(He goes over to the Adherant's. Their leader tries to hit him, so he pulls off its arm.)
Doctor: A Repeated Meme is just an idea. And that's all they are, an idea.
(He pulls one of the wires dangling from the arm, and the Adherant's all collapse.)
Doctor: Remote comtrolled Droids. Nice little cover for the real trouble maker. D on, Jimbo. Go home.
(The Doctor gives it a nudge, and it returns to Cassandra.)
Cassandra: I bet you were the school swot and never got kissed. At arms!
"What kind of insult is that?" 9 asked.
"I don't know. But be quiet, I think our future regeneration is asleep." 10 whispered back.
Indeed, 11 was snuggled up in himself and sleeping quite soundly.
"I guess that's one of our new personality traits. We can sleep and It'll feel fine." 9 whispered in slight awe.
"I didn't even notice he was tired. He's like a child on a sugar rush, and then a tired old man in the next." 10 couldn't help but comment.
"He's going to miss what happens."
"He's already lived it."
"But, what if he doesn't want to sleep through it."
"Have you ever seen us when we're woken up from a much needed sleep? It's ugly."
"I know, but-"
"Look. He might have just regenerated. We always need sleep after we regenerate."
"Fine, whatever."
Doctor: What are you going to do, moisturize me?
Cassandra: With acid. Oh, you're too late, anyway. My spiders have control of the mainframe. Oh, you all carried them as gifts, tax free, past every code wall. I'm not just a pretty face.
Doctor: Sabotaging a ship while you're still inside it? How stupid's that?
Cassandra: I'd hoped to manufacture a hostage situation with myself as one of the victims. The compensation would have been enormous.
Doctor: Five billion years and it still comes down to money.
Cassandra: Do you think it's cheap, looking like this? Flatness costs a fortune. I am the last human, Doctor. Me. Not that freaky little kid of yours.
"I just want to say, I called it!" Donna exclaimed.
9 and 10 had to stop themselves from telling her to be quiet so that 11 could sleep. He hadn't looked that affected by the noise.
Moxx: Arrest her, the infidel.
Cassandra: Oh, shut it, pixie. I've still got my final option.
Computer: Earth Death in three minutes.
Cassandra: And here it comes. You're just as useful dead, all of you. I have shares in you rival companies and they'll triple in price as soon as you're dead. My spiders are primed and ready to destroy the safety systems. How did that old Earth song go? Burn, baby, burn.
Jabe: The you'll burn with us.
Cassandra: Oh, I'm so sorry. I know the use of teleportation is strictly forbidden, but I'm such a naughty thing. Spiders, activate. (There is a series of explosions through the Platform.)
Cassandra: Forcefeilds gone with the planet about to explode. At least it'll be quick. Just like my fifth husband. Oh, shame on me.
Computer: Safety systems failing.
Cassandra: Bye, bye darling. Bye, bye, my darlings.
(Cassandra and her attendants beam out.)
"I don't like Cassandra." Rose stated.
Everyone voiced their agreements, and 11 shifted a bit, making 9 and 10 hold their breath, hoping he didn't wake up. 11 just kept sleeping.
Computer: Heat levels rising.
Moxx: Reset the computer.
Jabe: Only the Steward would know how.
Doctor: No. We can do it by hand. There must be a system restore switch. Jabe, come on. You lot, just chill.
Computer: Heat rising.
"Really poor word choice." Donna said.
"What are you talking about? That was completely on purpose." 10 responded.
[Space]
Computer: Earth Death in two minutes. Earth Death in two minutes.
[Maintenance duct]
Computer: Heat levels critical.
[Engine room]
Computer: Heat levels critical.
Doctor: Oh. And guess where the switch is.
(On the other side of the turning razor sharp fans.)
Computer: Heat levels rising. Heat levels rising.
(The Doctor pulls a breaker lever and the fans slow down a little, but it resets as soon as he lets go of it.)
Computer: External temperature five thousand degrees.
(Jabe pulls the breaker and holds it down.)
"No, she's not-she wouldn't..." 9 said.
"She does." 10 replied.
Doctor: You can't. The heat's going to vent through this place.
Jabe: Then stop wasting time, Time Lord.
Computer: Heat levels rising. Heat levels rising.
[Observation gallery]
Computer: Heat levels hazardous.
(The observation window begins to crack.)
Moxx: We're going to die!
Computer: Heat levels hazardous.
(The Doctor makes it past the first fan.
[Gallery 15]
(The window begins to crack here, too.)
Computer: Shields malfunction. Shield malfunction. Shields malfunction.
(Random pieces of deadly glare lance throughout he room.)
[Engine room.]
Computer: Heat levels critical. Heat levels critical.
(The Doctor looks back at Jabe, then times his run past the second fan.
Glare lances throughout the main observation gallery.)
Computer: Heat level rising. Heat levels rising.
(Jabe starts to combust. She lets go of the breaker and the fans speed up to faster than before until they are just a blur.)
"Oh come on! She was good! Why did she have to die?" Amy yelled at the screen.
11 flinched slightly as if he was going to wake up, then settles again.
9 and 10 look at each other. They knew they weren't that heavy a sleeper, so there must be something wrong. They'll figure it out when the episode is over.
Computer: Planet explodes in ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five-
(The Doctor shuts his eyes and walks past the last fan.)
"How did you do that?" River asked. She knew the Doctor couldn't walk through solid objects, so it must be something else.
"I can slow down time every so often, but the longer I do it the more exhausted I get, oh..." 10 says.
"Oh? Oh, what?" River asks.
"11 pranked Jack and me and he slowed down time for at least a minute or two." 10 replied.
"No wonder he's asleep. Must be exhausted. Takes a lot of energy to do that." 9 said.
Computer: Four.
(He opens his eyes, realizes he is safe and dashes for the reset breaker.)
Doctor: Raise shields!
[Gallery 15]
Computer: One.
(A forcefield envelopes Platform One as the Earth starts to boil, then explodes.)
Computer: Exoglass repair. Exoglass repair. Exoglass repair.
(Rose opens her eyes as the cracks in the window vanish, and she sees the fractured remains of home floating by.)
Computer: Exoglass repair.
(In the engine rooms, the fans have slowed right down for the Doctor to walk easily to Jabe's smoking remains.)
"Now this is where I get really angry." 9 said.
[Observation gallery]
(Rose enters. The Moxx of Balhoon had got fried by the glare. The Doctor enters and goes over to the two other trees. He gives them the bad news.)
Doctor: I'm sorry.
Rose: You all right?
Doctor: Yeah, I'm fine.-
"Which really means you're going to cry yourself to sleep." Donna whispered.
"First, I don't need sleep. Second, I don't cry... Often." 9 bit back.
"Just saying, you're not fine."
"Whatever."
Doctor: -I'm full of ideas, I'm bristling with them. Idea number one, teleportation throgh five thousand degrees needs some kind of feed. Idea number two, this feed needs to be hidden nearby.
(He smashes open the alleged ostrich egg to reveal a small device.)
Doctor: Idea number three, if you're as clever as me, then a teleportation feed can be reversed.
Cassandra [OC]: Oh you should have seen their little alien faces.
(Cassandra is beamed back.)
Cassandra: Oh.
Doctor: The last human.
Cassandra: So, you passed my little test. Bravo. This makes you eligible to join, er, the Human Club.
"Could she be less obvious?" Jack asked.
"I think the world would implode, Jack, if she could be less obvious." 10 replied.
Doctor: People have died, Cassandra. You murdered them.
Cassandra: It depends on your definition of people, and that's enough of a technicality to keep your lawyers dizzy for centauries. Take me tto court, then, Doctor, and watch me smile and cry and flutter-
Doctor: And creak?
Cassandra: And what?
Doctor: Creak. You're creaking.
Cassandra: What? Ah! I'm drying out! Oh, sweet heavens. Moisterise me, moisterise me! Where are my surgeons? My lovely boys! It's too hot!
Doctor: You raised the temperature.
Cassandra: Have pity! Moisterise me! Oh, oh, Doctor. I'm sorry. I'll do anything.
Rose: Help her.
"But she tried to kill you. She killed three people!" 9 said, looking at Rose, confused.
"She's only human." Rose replied, she knew the Doctor wouldn't save Cassandra, but it was worth the shot.
Doctor: Everything has its time and everything dies.
Cassandra: I'm too young!
(Splat!)
[Space]
Computer: Shuttles four and six departing. This unit now closing for maintenance.
[Observation gallery]
(Only Rose and the Doctor are left, looking at the asteroids that were once the Earth as they float past the red giant sun.)
Rose: The end of the Earth. It's gone. We were too busy saving ourselves. No one saw it go. All those years, all that history, and no one was even looking. It's just-
Doctor: Come with me.
[London]
(A baby cries, a man laughs. The Doctor and Rose stand in the middle of teeming people going about their daily lives.)
Man: Big issue! Big issue!
Doctor: You think it'll last forever, people and cars and concrete, but it won't. One day it's all gone. Even the sky. My planet's gone. It's dead. It burned like the Earth. It's just rocks and dust before it's time.
9 shook his head. He regretted everything he had done that day. Yet, he had still wiped out the Daleks, so that was good? He had only made the decision to destroy everything because of what the Time Lords were planning.
Rose: What happened?
Doctor: There was a war and we lost.
Rose: A war with who? What about your people?
Doctor: I'm a Time Lord. I'm the last of the Time Lords. They're all gone. I'm the only survivor. I'm left traveling alone 'cos there's no one else left.
"Ahem. Bitch, what am I? A roach?" Donna asked.
Amy, Martha, and Rose burst out into laughter.
Everyone else was left confused, well, except Rory. He just rolled his eyes and smiled in amusement.
Rose: There's me.
Doctor: You've seen how dangerous it is. Do you want to go home?
Rose: I don't know. I want. Oh, can you smell chips?
Doctor: Yeah, yeah.
Rose: I want chips.
Doctor: Me too.
Rose: Right then, before you get me back in that box, chips it is, and you can pay.
Doctor: No money.
Rose: What sort of date are you? Come on then, tightwad, chips are on me. We've only got five billion years till the shops close.
Everyone sighed as the screen turned off. They didn't really know what to do about the information they learned.
"We should probably wake him up before the next episode." 10 said, looking at 11.
"Yeah." 9 said.
River got up, she wanted to have a real conversation with her favorite Doctor. She looked at 11, he looked so peaceful. He was breathing softly, his breath landing on his arm. She then got a little confused. How could anyone think sleeping in that position be comfortable? River kneeled by the Doctor and rested her hand on his arm, making him give and unconscious flinch at the contact. He woke up all the same, though. His eyes fluttered open, and he saw River's face. He gave a soft, yet pained smile.
"Just as beautiful as the last time I met you." 11 whispered quietly.
"And when was that, sweety?" River asked.
"Spoilers, dear." 11 responded.
River smirked at him as he fell asleep again, this time not to be woken up.
Children! Sorry it so long to get this out! I promise I will try to be a little faster with my updates. I just lost a lot of motivation, and I've been writing a lot of drafts. Anyways, Doctor Who is owned by BBC, not me. I am getting this script from and app on the play store called TARDIScript. The next episode will be copy and pasted from a website called chakoteya .net because I really don't want to spend my time on that episode because I really hate it. Write to you next time, my children!
