When they eventually reached the outpointed of the city, The former world enemy and his follower were greeted with twenty Armoured Jaffa. With their staff weapons in one hand, their armour glittering gold in the sun overhead and swords at their waist, as well as their tall and intimidating structure, they looked every modicum of soldiers of a God.
They appeared to be on guard as the duo made their way over to the warriors of here. Delsol didn't comprehend the reason as to why the men were blocking their way to the city ahead. What is more vital was the fact that they had pointed their staff at him especially and seem to be indignant towards him.
The reason he had deduced was that he slaughtered their former comrades. But that couldn't be the case, the news couldn't have travel so quickly or less his companion informed them of the Massacre. That could be the possibility.
'If they were here to greet me, and in full battle positions then it must have been My So-called 'follower' that Warned them. However, how did he contact them without me Detecting it? No there is no way that they communicate in their minds, well this is an advanced world so it could be feasible. But if they can do that then I won't have the element of surprise for long.'
These soldiers looked like they were expecting Delsol or at the very least the man beside him (whose name he still didn't know because he couldn't bother to find out) which indicates that they must have a tracker on the man or a device that can sense vital organs.
Which means that they could have the same sensory devices on the other combatants. That could spell disaster for him, what if they had already made precautions against him. They could pose a threat towards him, with all the technology they had in their possession the possibility of dying was tremendous.
One of the soldiers that had called themselves the first prime of Heka, which suggested that he must have been important to the god. This would make the soldiers and the god vindictive towards him. This could turn out three-way, one: they try to destroy him, two: they question him of his capacities, three: the god option one.
He could have thought about reaching an agreement with their god but that would be too naive, when you are on an alien planet, surrounded by advanced technology that may possess the ability to victimize your esteemed person, and a possible god that could very well have unlimited power, you had to assume the worse.
He was brought back to reality when one of the soldiers(presumably the leader) spoke." Who are you, identified yourselves or else you will be eliminated". The leader's voice was harsh like when someone was dealing with dogs.
'In what century did this guy mother gave birth to him. He sounds like a medieval gatekeeper from one of the middle ages tv shows I watched yea ar's ago.'
Not having any inclination of Delsol inner dialogue, the bulky man on the left side of the leader, step closer to the duo that made them be on guard immediately. The Soldier made it halfway before, Delsol's devotee levelled his staff weapon at the trooper.
"This man is supposed to meet our god. This order was given to me by the first prime Y'kug."
The atmosphere turned frigid at the mention of the first prime. The believer of the Former champion knew that these men didn't like Y'kug and his psychopathic tendencies. The first prime was fear for his anger, ruthlessness and for being utterly insane.
If any man, woman or child no matter how old perpetrated a crime, even the slightest of offences they would be burned alive, buried while still conscious, electrocuted, hanged, nailed to crosses, etc. He would even perform experiments on the impoverished members of society. No one chose to be on his bad side and preferred to be on his lighter side(if he had one).
The men shuttered at the sound of his name, everyone was scared shitless by him(except for heka), his violent impulses match that of heka and that was why the god favoured him so abundantly.
He was the most loyal and fanatical follower of heka. No one would dare disrespect heka in his presence and, he annihilated whole worlds in the name of heka, nothing would shake his belief in his god. Y'kug had survived many sufferings design to make even greater men break but like inevitable death made him even more zealous towards heka.
"Where is Y'kug?". The leader inquired.
"Dead".
They laughed."By the Gods, I yearn for the possibility that you are a traitor. So that I can exterminate you and your family for this world. As well as this spy".
They didn't appear to be convinced that he was dead, which was understandable. Y'kug had survived many crusades that made him emerge out stronger and more faithful each time, which formed a legend around him, about him being immortal. This was a rumour however but a large percentage of the population believes it.
"He died fighting rebels in the valley, there was an abundance of them with staff weapons, only I survived by escaping".
"So you ran from a battle for your god. Shameful" one of the soldiers whispered.
"THIS. IS. NOT. HOW. A. JAFFA. ACTS. YOU. STAY. AND FIGHT. FOR. YOUR. GOD. UNTIL. DEATH. YOU. ARE. DISGRACE.." The leader bellowed.
"I had to inform Lord he's before it was too late. I don't want them to pose a threat towards our god"
"Like some primitives could present a treat to our god infinite power."
"I only wished for our god to be informed. So they didn't attack at an inopportune time. I ran because I'm devoted to my God. Not out of Cowardness. I would rather die than betray my One and only god. Nothing would please me more than to DIE on The battlefield in his name. All I live for is to please him. My life is his to command, no one else."
The soldiers paused for a moment. Probably contemplating what the professional liar announced, the men faces still held the scepticism for the prevaricator.
Delsol speculated that his believer was a man that specialises in the lying category. The way he spoke with so much passion in his words, that if it wasn't for the fact the man pledged allegiance to him, he would semi believe him.
"No matter the reason, you will face judgment from our god".
"Nothing would please me more"
