Sorry about the long winded chapter title, I really can't think of anything else.
Ch.3- The world seen under different circumstances
10:00 p.m, Tuesday. January 21st
POV: Third person
A man is thrown into the brick wall of an alley. Two other men and a woman tower over his slumped figure, two wearing jeans and black shirts while the woman was wearing some kind of old lab coat. As the thrown man tries to get back up, the two men in black shirts start to beat him senseless. Kicks to the stomach, head, and nuts. Eventually, the victim starts to plead for his life. "I'm sorry! I'm Sorry! Please stop! I'll do anything!" He forced out in-between their attacks.
Fortunately, the woman in the lab coat had gestured for the men to stop beating him. Now, she kneeled down to the broken figure of a man. "Are you sure, Rogue 5? You've already failed us once. How can I trust someone who let their entire operation be foiled by one stupid kid?" She already had a plan for the rogue, but she wanted the kid to be determined to do the job she gave him.
Still recovering from being thrown around like a wet rag, he spoke up "*Cough, Cough* I don't know how I can make it up to you guys, But I'll take on whatever job you give me." Plus, he thought. I doubt they'd let me go with the things I've seen her do.
A smile crept up onto the woman's face. "perfect, " She said to herself before addressing the man once more. "You'll be monitoring all of the subjects as they live their lives. I want as much information as you can get. If you can get behavior, habits, and favorite locations for each of them, then I'll consider keeping you around. I'll be looking forward to our first check-in on Sunday. Until then, rogue...". She then begins to walk away, with her two bodyguard's in tow.
Rogue 5 started limping his way towards the other direction and gets to his bike. Once he's on, he starts thinking about how he'll go through with this. Great, freshly broken out of jail and now I'll have to more of that bitch's dirty work. How should I do this? One wrong step and I can either be thrown in a cell or mauled by the experiments. Hmmm...
6:00 a.m, Wednesday. January 22nd
POV: Lux
I woke up at a decent time today, a ripe 6:00 a.m.. Stretching my body in bed, I spot my paws that popped up from the covers again. Right, still a Lucario. Not a dream... I then notice something else, a bit more concerning; I had morning wood. That, by itself, isn't the most surprising part. What surprised me was the new anatomy of said morning wood. Not going into detail, but the shock of seeing it was definitely enough to get me wide awake. Okaaaaaay... Note to self: avoid lewd topics and thoughts while in public.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention it. I've decided to just stop wearing clothes since I'm a Lucario now. Clothing just bothers my fur and it's already enough to get me through cold nights. The fur at my crotch is also thick enough to hide my nether regions from almost everything, of course that's when I'm not thinking of dirty things.
Anyways, I wait until it goes back down, then make my way to go get breakfast. I decided to go for an egg sandwich and started preparing. It kind of sucked making it all, we had all of the important stuff at the higher shelves so that the kids of the friends who visited wouldn't ruin anything too important or expensive. Being just below 4 ft. now, I had to climb on the counter just for the fucking salt and pepper. And it was such a pain to actually cook the eggs! I burned myself a couple times when my paw slipped from the handle. I had some bread toasting in the oven, so I looked for anything else I can add to make the sandwich better. Then I saw that we still had an avocado. I went to reach for it, then stopped. Wait a second. Am I a dog? Would this be poisonous or harmful to my new body? Hmm... I think about it for a moment. ...Nah, Fuck it. Might as well test what I can and can't eat now. Finishing breakfast, mom got out of her room and saw me munching on the sandwich.
"...Are you sure you're able to eat that?" she asked while rubbing her eyes.
"Nope. Might as well see what happens, since we know almost nothing about Lucario" I sent through her head. Now that I've had practice with aura, I can explain my "telepathy". Turns out I manipulate aura in the air into making different sounds after I let out some of my own aura. I then send that message into a person's head.
"Alright then" she then returns to her room to get ready for the day.
After eating, I decide to roam around the town. I can't play video games to the best of my abilities anymore, training my aura sense in the room's too boring to do all day, and I'd rather stab myself with the spikes on my paws than spend more than a few hours reading. Also, I'm curious about how other people feel about this whole "kids turning into Pokémon" thing. Am I a freak to the eyes of the public? A monster? A victim? Best way to find out is by taking in the ocean breeze as I walk.
Oh yeah, forgot to say that as well. I live near a beach. It's only like twenty five minutes away. There's a hill that'll bring you from the big expensive mansions all the way to the apartments and the beach. A bit south from here, there's a nice cliff about 100 feet above the shoreline.
As I make my way to the beach, I notice a lot of people staring at me. Of course they'd do that, I thought to myself, Lucario are Pokémon, they're not supposed to exist. It's only natural for them to do that. But still... I turn my head to a group of kids across the street. A few of them had their phones out, recording me. Once they noticed I was looking at them, they ran away in fear of what I could do to them. ...Knowing that doesn't make me feel any more comfortable.
Getting to the beach was pretty easy, minus some looks from people. I ignored them for the most part, but the worst part was being recorded. I hated being on camera, any mistake you make is saved for the whole world to see. It really felt like they were trying to watch some wild animal. They kept their distance and ran away with fear when I even tried to look their direction. Needless to say, It was pretty degrading. All I wanted to do now was get some alone time in a place that wasn't home.
Of course, being the beach, that was too much to ask for. Even for it still being winter, there was a large amount of people around. There were only surfers in the water, and families were having fun at the bonfire sites and small parks away from the sand. Though, none of that was important to me. What really caught my eye were the several news vans and reporters spread around the beach. Were they expecting me? Damn, some kids I passed must've given them tips. Then again, I could be wrong... I trailed off as I saw a rather large concentration of news reporters around one of the small bonfire/camp sites. With so many idiots with cameras surrounding the area, I couldn't see much.
I decided to keep my distance, but I really wanted to see what was going on over there. I tried using aura sense, but they were still another 20 feet away for me to actually see them. Frustrated with my current abilities, I gave up and started to walk another direction.
Before I could even turn away, I saw something small and yellow dash out of the crowd and towards me. It was a gigantic rat! I was about to run away when I looked closer at the large rodent. It was around two and a half feet tall, covered in dark orange fur with a white belly. what really stuck out was the tail. It was long, and had a lightning bolt shape at the end. Oh god damnit, a Raichu. No wonder the cameramen army is all huddled around there.
But then it hit me, Oh fuck! It's running towards ME! I was about to high-tail it out of there, but then the Mouse Pokémon called out to me. 'Hey! Mr. Lucario! Help me get away from these guys, please!' He pleaded. I'm assuming the Raichu's a guy based off of the voice. If you've got a problem with that, sue me.
I then saw the swarm of reporters that were about to come after the Raichu... But then they saw me. All of their eyes widened and they started dashing towards our direction. Never have I ever thought I'd be terrified by reporters, but the sheer numbers terrified me. There had to be at least a hundred of them!
It was at that point where I ran to the Raichu, grabbed him by the scruff of the neck, and sprinted all the way to the other side of the beach. I was surprised by how fast I was running, and the reporters and the Raichu probably were as well. I avoided running into people by using Aura Sense. I lost the reporters in about ten seconds.
Once I came to a stop, I noticed that I stopped at the bottom of the cliff I mentioned earlier. The sand here was rocky and probably not safe for any family activities, so barely any people came around this area. Satisfied with my getaway, I dropped the Raichu and fell to the ground. Ah, that was fast. And exausting... Did I use a move or something? There's no way I should have been that fast.
As I brought myself to a sitting position, the Raichu just stared at me. It seemed like he was thinking about something, but he kept shut for a good while while I was practically dying from exhaustion. Once I recovered, the Mouse Pokémon spoke up again. 'Th-Thank you Mr. Lucario. All those reporters really freaked my out, I might've hurt someone If you hadn't shown up'
Oh yeah, I thought to myself. The fucking language barrier. Pokémon understand Pokémon but humans can't piece together shit. I decided to just talk to this guy normally, 'No problem, Just call me Lux. I've already got a good guess, but what sort of questions did they ask you?' I was curious. The media will eventually corner me and have me answer question after question. Though, I don't think they'll get any good answers, since people watching at home can't understand poke-speech or get my aura messages. 'Also, what's your name? Wouldn't want to call you Raichu all the time, Would I?'
'D-Dan. I'm Dan' he mumbled. Am I that Intimidating, or is he just shy? 'T-They asked me what happened at school, How I feel right now, and other stuff I couldn't hear. It was just so loud, and stressful. They started to ask private questions and I started to get a little scared. Things about details of the shooting, to who my friends were and their addresses. I tired to answer, but they couldn't understand me and started to yell. I just couldn't handle that, I had to get away from the mob!' Tears started to form in his eyes, most likely from the stress of the whole situation. 'I tried to get away earlier, but they surrounded me and stopped me from doing it again. Eventually, I tried again. Since you were there, I can finally relax' he sat down on the rocky sand next to me.
I let out a sigh. 'Yeah. This whole ordeal sounds like more trouble than it's worth. I couldn't imagine how I'd handle myself in your situation'. I looked out at the sea as I thought about what I'd probably do. 'Knowing me, I would freak out and shove everyone out of the way. I might've hurt someone if I hit them with these things' I held up my paws to show off the pointy spikes. 'I think you handled that really well. You even tried to answer their questions. Too bad they couldn't understand a thing you were saying'.
I could feel that he was happy with my praise. 'Yeah...' He didn't add anything else, so I decided to change the topic.
'Anyways, what were you doing out here? You know, before the media business happened.'
'I came here with my family to catch up on things so that I can explain in detail what happened back at school' He said. He then suddenly looked worried. 'Oh no! I left them there! I've got to go back! But the reporters! Oh god what am I goi-'
'Well we can start by going back and handling the situation correctly' I cut him off, not wanting to hear Dan rant on about it. 'I've got nothing better to do, so I'll explain the language barrier to them.' He looked confused, so I decided to fill him in on my telepathy. "Oh yeah, I can talk to humans by doing this. I don't know if you can do it, though" He was obviously shocked to hear my voice in his head, but it quickly melted into happiness. I guess he's happy to not have to deal with the reporters by himself.
'Anyways,' I stood up and started making my way back to his family 'let's get going. I don't really want to wait cause then they might come up with stupid ideas. Like me eating you' I tried to joke around, but he didn't laugh. Damn, now I just sound stupid.
'Yeah, Lets" Dan said, then went to walk beside me
The moment we were visible to them, reporters started dashing towards us. Terrified, Dan hid behind me. Honestly, I wanted to hide as well. There was a fucking stampede of them! Unfortunately, there was nothing for me to hide behind. I settled for a sigh and continued walking towards Dan's family.
Once they were earshot's away, I heard the wave of questions. Surprisingly, they were still pretty far away when I heard them. I guess being a Pokémon came with those heightened senses. No wonder Dan ran away. Must've been a headache dealing with this. I can only dream of the peace and quite I had five seconds ago now. There were cameras and microphones at our faces already. "Mr. Lucario! What happened at the Rogue shooting?" "Mr. Lucario, can we have your opinion on the matter?" "Mr. Lucario, are you acquainted with Mr. Raichu?" "Mr. Lucario, now that you're no longer human, how do you feel?" And a whole bunch of other questions.
I had several thoughts as a reaction to some of he questions. First thing; the fact that they're calling me "Mister". Either someone was staring at my crotch, or they've got a lucky guess.
The one about no longer being human shook me. I honestly wanted to avoid thinking about that. There's a huge chance that this is irreversible, and that things won't ever go back to normal... fucking hell. I'll think about that later. Right now, I've got to tell them to buzz off.
Trying to be as efficient as possible, I tried sending a message a different way. I focused aura into what I wanted to say, then I dispersed it around me in a wave so that everyone's mind can get that message. It didn't go very far, but I was able to get it through every reporter's head. "We can't speak proper English. I guess that's one thing the transformation did to us. Right now, I'm sending a message to all of your heads. Now that I've explained the biggest questions, could you leave us alone? You're all giving me a Migraine." I might've been a bit rude, but I was being honest. Sending messages to a large group was starting to make my temples hurt. Guess that sort of stuff is too much for now.
Unfortunately, they didn't leave us alone. Half of them did leave, but the other reporters just asked more questions to make up for the loss in numbers. Irritated, I just started forcing my way through the crowd until we got to Dan's family. I made sure not to stab someone with my spikes, but their attitudes were making it really hard for me to not poke them at least once. Eventually, we made it. The family was small, just the father, mother, and who I think is Dan's sister. I recognized the father as Jason, the cop that questioned me when I first woke up as a Lucario. Huh, small world.
Once I got to them, I individually sent messages to each of their heads so that I can have a conversation with the whole family while the reporters try to get a story out of what we're saying. "Hello there. I'm Lux, but just call me Lucario. I don't want these idiots to know who I am; my name would just put them another step closer to figuring out where I live." I told them. I held out my paw, but they just seemed surprised that I could speak at all. Oh yeah, they couldn't hear my little speech. "Just think of it as telepathy, something Lucario can do". Once they calmed down, they shook my paw while introducing themselves.
"I'm Jason, but I'm sure you already knew that." Jason said as we shook.
"I'm Patricia, Dan's mom, pleasure to meet you" older woman said. She had long blond hair and green eyes
"I'm Heather, His sister. And what mom said" the younger girl said. She had the same hair and eyes as her mother.
"Likewise" I said, smiling. Or, at least, the best smile I could muster with a muzzle. After another flash of a camera met my face, I frowned then continued. "It was a pleasure meeting you all, but I have to leave now. I'm really not feeling like dealing with the rest of these reporters" I then waved around me to mention the cameras and microphones being waved around my face.
"Oh, that sucks. Even though you weren't here very long, it was still nice to see you again" Jason said.
'Yeah... Oh! Maybe we'll see each other at school next week!' Dan said. 'And also: do you think you could teach me to do what you do? I don't know any other way to talk to my family'.
"Lucario, do you know what he's saying. All we hear is "Raichu" in different sequences" Heather says.
"Yeah, I can. Just another 'screw you' to our situation, what with this language barrier. I guess I should consider myself lucky, since i can still communicate... Anyways, he wants to learn how to talk to you guys like I can. I'm not sure whether or not he can. For now, Dan will have to have a notebook and pen wherever he goes so he can give other people messages" As stupid as it sounded, it was the best option. "Alright, I'm off. The next time we'll see each other will probably be Monday, during school"
And with that, I activated that ability I used earlier. I decide to speed off back home to learn more about Lucario and their abilities. I'll need to look at that move list now. I don't want to accidentally kill someone now. I'll also have to train to keep these moves up for longer. It would suck if this super speed move just sucked away all of my energy. In just about two minutes, I got back home. I greeted Mom and Jack, ate dinner, and walked back to my room to learn more about... my species.
