Berlin, German Reich

The Reich Chancellery Building

The new Chancellery building is the latest marvel of German architecture, the building is designed to match that of ancient temples to represent the strong might and power of its leader, in this case, The Fuhrer, as well as the ever growing power of the German Reich in general. Hitler's office is a large space, large rectangular flat panels with 3 layers on the front wall completed with portraits from German history at their large rectangular center, double headed lamps between each large panel and 2 large doors at the center of the middle rectangular panel with a German Hawk emblem above it, the side walls with each has two rectangular panels with 3 layers with each having Shield emblems with something to represent each shields on the center and large doors below it, just as large as the two main doors at the front wall, the floor is beautify carpeted with light red color and square shape textures, 2 tables in the room, one is Hitler's office table the 2nd is where two potted plants are placed with a lamp on the middle, the back wall is completed with 4 large rectangular windows, lining up with the rectangular panels of the front wall and are the same height and width. The room is mostly dark with only its lamps casting little bit of light as it is 8:30

"How dare he throw the request to our faces!" Hitler shouted in annoyance. "Danzig is populated by Germans. A German city is a rightful city to the Reich! Not Poland! What does Skladkowski thinks he is!? Keeping a huge German population in poland!? Not to mention he lets the jews invade their country, I am not surprised, he is a jewish puppet, a dirty mason, his people have the right to resist!"

"Mein Fuhrer, lets try again, let's make an even better deal. How about we give compensations from Bohemia or from Slovakia." Georing suggests.

"No no, I already tried that and he still doesnt give in." Hitler replied. "I have tried to give him what he wants but he is still refusing to give up what we want. He has no idea how to negotiate at all. Why did I even?" Hitler adds, then taking a sip from his cup. "If that's the way it's going to be, then we shall start to prepare our troops."

Georing choked on his drink after he heard what he Hitler said. "W-what?" He asks in concern.

"I am saying that we shall invade Poland." Hitler calmly replies.

"And if Britain and France retaliates? You know the Reich isn't ready for a war on that scale yet." Georing warns.

"Many of our honorable men have been training ever since their days in the Hiter youth, it wouldn't be that difficult, especially with the hard patriotic loyalty of the SS under Himmler; The Waffen SS has proved to me that they are just as capable as the Wehrmacht, our Luftwaffe is an improved version of the German imperial air force equipped with better guns that can fire at a long round, our panzers can steam rolling against any enemy tanks at their sight or shoot them out of existence even at long range."

Georing just nods as he sips his cup of coffee.

"I am also well aware that the Russian empress is still uncomfortable with us, last year I tried to make a good impression on her."

"But you din't. Ribbentrop told me all about it, you were screaming as if she wants war."

"She was suggesting to have Germans be kicked out of the Sudetenland against their will of course I have to retaliate on her ludicrous claim!" Hitler boomed.

"But of course you can't blame the empress to see you as untrustworthy, you did say clearly in Mein kampf that you want to conquer her country. How many collaborators has the GESTAPO arrested lately?"

"Surprisingly, below 17. Why am I the one who knows this? You're the one who created the GESTAPO."

"Do you think she's beginning to give up?"

"No, Herman, I have a feeling a new wave will come soon. I'm glad we are careful about our secrets, those collaborators will never pass in disguising as high rank officials. Not to mention the British and the French have been trying to get the empress to join the allies for months now, shes been rejecting the requests, it will be a danger to our existence if she eventually decides to join, she does possess a large and very developed army, just as developed as ours, that will take a lot of our own forces to destroy."

"What are you going to do?"

"I'll figure out a plan soon, then we can solely focus on the Polish problem. The invasion is set for Friday."

7:03 AM, St. Petersburg, Russian Empire

Alexander Palace

Within the office room Olga is reviewing economic documents and military plans for the training program that have been going on for nearly a year one by one especially those that regards for the good of the people. A knock came at her door, Olga looks up "Please, come in." She called.

The door opens and reveals a young Duma politician, it is one of Olga's advisors "Your Highness." He bows and walks to the front of Olga's desk and sits on the guest chair in front.

"What can I do for you, Konstantin?" Olga politely asks after putting down a document she's reviewing.

"As it turns out the city of Memel and Czechoslovakia aren't the last, we just got word from our men in Germany, Hitler had a conversation with the Reichsmarshall, he says that Poland will be the next target."

Olga became more focused following the information given to her.

"He told the Reichsmarshall that if the Poles does not give the city of Danzig to its rightful owners then we shall respond with arms. He wants war, your majesty. A boarder with Germany will be a threat to our peace in Eastern Europe and maybe the world." Konstantin continued, exaggerating with his last 3 words. "I suggest that the Russian army shall come to the Polish-German boarder and the Russian Baltic fleet to intimidate on the German coast as a message to the Germans that we are on Poland's side."

"But those are the seed of war." Olga answers in concern.

"Of course your majesty."

Olga just remained silent and exhales deeply, "Do you remember the last war?" Olga ask in a serious tone.

"W-well... No... I was only a baby when it started." Konstantin hesitates.

"And I was a nurse at the red cross with my sister, we both saw the torture young men are put into, I saw the scars and the wounds, I couldn't bare looking at them, I remember running out and hurled, I felt sorry for those men and the starving people in conditions that I thought never possible...All of those were only 20 years ago, I don't want that to happen again, please understand. You are still new in governing a huge country, sometimes one small action can lead to huge consequences; remember that."

"Yes, your majesty."

"And also the Poles would not allow the army to march into the their territory as they are still holding a grudge about being conquered by Russia 2 centuries ago, I do not blame them of course, I am well aware about the atrocities our forefathers did to their people. Now, since you are still have a lot to learn I am going to let this all slide."

Konstantin stands up and bows before he heads out of the room, slowly closing the door behind him.

Olga sits silently, listening to the eerie silence of the room and lets out a deep breath. She looks at the picture of her family, Her husband Dimitri Pavlovich, her son Alexander and her daughter Catherine, she looks at the picture with a smile. "I will not let anything happen you." she says.

Outside the Alexander palace

Outside the Alexander palace is a field of green next to a huge pond with ducks swimming across one side to the other, the song of the birds fills the beauty silence of nature, something 10 year old Catherine enjoys, she sits on the grass watching life go around her as the sun shines on the little jewels of her white dress that once belonged to Olga. Olga walks by to attend to the young Grandduchess.

"Catherine." Olga called as she walks to her daughter.

Catherine turns to her mother, "Hello, mother." she greets with a quiet voice.

Olga sits down with her daughter on the grass. The two sat quietly listening to the song of the birds and feel the slight breeze blowing their dark golden hairs. Olga turns to her daughter, "So, how's your day, my child?" Olga asked warmly.

"I am doing alright mother." Catherine answered strangely.

"Are you sure?" Olga asked again, concerned.

"Y-" Catherine starts to sob softly before she can finish.

"My baby, what's going on?" Olga asked, hugging her daughter to comfort her, "Did your brother made fun of you again?" Olga groaned.

"N-no, it- I'm scared!"

"Scared of what?"

"W-w-war!" Catherine shouted.

"Wa- Oh no no my dear, that will never happen!" Olga reassures, Olga then looks at Catherine with her hands on her daughter's shoulders, "Look at me; As long as I am around, there won't be a war. I promise, I'll protect you and everyone in this country from that possibility." Olga then hugs her daughter and wipes Catherine's tears with her thumb. "Now now, you won't breath unless you stop." Olga says, playfully. Catherine lets out a little laugh.

Berlin, German Reich

Chancellor's office, Reich chancellery

"What to do what to do." Hitler mumbles to himself, "The British have been a huge thorn on my behind. All we are asking is Danzig, a city of Germans!"

"Perhaps I can solve this Mein Fuhrer." Ribbentrop responds.

Hitler looks at Ribbentrop with a look of intrest.

"We will conduct a false flag attack on our radio station in Gleiwitz, near the south-eastern boarder of Niederschlesien. Germans dressed in Polish uniform will be seizing the radio station and shout anti-german slogans across Poland, in polish of course, that will make the British and the French have second thoughts about their support for the Poles. There will also be dead germans, so that it can prove that the poles fire the first shot."

"Dead germans?"

"These dead germans will come from the concentration camps; Political prisoners, convicts, homosexuals, jews, many more." Ribbentrop explained.

"I don't know about this plan. You know the army doesn't like to get involve in illegal operations. They will fill my office with complaints, their support for me is very vital for our party's supreme power over the country."

"Thats why we have the SS to do the job, Reichsfuhrer Himmler approves of this act as the first step to get what is ours."

Hitler sat silently as he thinks about the plan, he then nods, "I like it." he responds with approval. "When will this take place?"

"August 31st, our boys that will be involve in this operation are to be taught Polish before we can put the operation into affect. In the long time period you can come up with another plan to get the British and the French to stand back from their unofficial guarantee, if no plan succeeds up to August 31st then we shall carry out the radio sabotage."

Hitler nods, "Alright, buy your time." Hitler then has a thought that made his eyes widen. "The Russians."

"Sir?" Ribbentrop asks with a confused expression.

"The Russians, I just remembered that the allies have been trying to convince the empress to join their side following the invasion of Czechoslovakia. If the empress gives in then it will be a threat for the existence of Germany."

"I highly doubt the empress would ever give in, our ambassador to Russia says her imperial highness has no interest to start a war with anyone, not even us."

"You can't deny the fact that shes been violating our domestic privacy, its important you and everyone else should be careful about the beans you spoil."

"I understand, Mein Fuhrer."

"Has our ambassador spoke to the impress?"

"Mein Fuhrer our ambassador speaks to Kozlov. Weather Kozlov has spoken to the Empress we don't know."

Hitler then gets an idea, "I shall write to the empress."

Ribbentrop then looks at Hitler with confusion, "Write to the empress?"

"Why of course, she posses one the largest and one of the strongest armies of the world, if we can get her to our side then the British and the French won't have an ally from the east. She has no official alliance with the Poles other than a non-aggression pact."

"You know she will not be interested in an alliance with Germany, she fears us."

"Thats why I'll send you over to St. Petersburg for a negotiation, for a non aggression treaty. You'll have to do is to give her the impression that we do not seek harm." Hitler then gets out a piece of paper from his desk and writes a letter to the empress with the flick of a pen.

Alexander palace, Tsarina's office

"Oh my..." Olga gasp.

"Whos it from." Her husband, Dimitri Pavolovich asked.

"Its from Adolf Hitler." Olga replied.

"That lunatic in Germany?" Dimitri scoffed.

"Yes, hes just as a lunatic as you are." Olga teased and smiling.

"Oh ha ha ha." Dimitri replied sarcastically.

"You imperial majesty, I am writing this now that you are in fear of me and my country, of course what I wrote in my book is what I think before, I am looking forward to begin relations between our two nations, we are both intelligent leaders we both have developed armies and surely we can help each other out sometime in the future. My foreign minister, Joachim Von Ribbentrop, will see you in the German embassy in St. Petersburg for a diplomatic negotiation. Best of luck, Hitler." Olga reads the letter.

"Huh, he seems to be a very good man." Dimitri commented.

"I do not trust one bit of what Hitler says in this letter of his, I never fully trusted him ever since he broke the Munich agreement by marching his troops into Prague."

"Oh come on dear, you never know this could uh.. I don't know... prevent a war with Germany?" Dimitri persuades.

"Are you trying to convince me to let Mr. Ribbentrop in for "Negotiations" by using my fear of war as an advantage? " Olga suspiciously asks, holding up her two fingers and quoted.

"I don't see why not. It may help you calm down in the long run." Dimitri grins.

Olga remains unsure but if she could prevent Russia from entering into a war, she's going to try the negotiation, though she is uncertain if the Germans would keep their word, she would not give an order to stop the training program until her mind is clear. She writes a response letter to Hitler that Ribbentrop shall be aloud to enter St. Petersburg for diplomatic negotiation.

"Dear Herr Hitler

I have received your message and I am profound by the fact that you want to start relations with my country, I will not be writing this message of it weren't for my husband, Grand duke Dimitri Pavlovich, who convinced me that I shall allow such meeting to occur in the German embassy in St. Petersburg, invite Mr. Ribbentrop on the capital in August 23rd 7:00 sharp, I shall organized the meeting room for this event. I hope this will start a new long term relations between our two great nations. Peace shall be preserved.

-Empress Olga Nikoleavna Romanova of Russia "

"I pray to god this will work." Olga sighed. "This is my only hope, for Russia to not enter a war with the Germans."

Berlin, German Reich

The chancellery building

Hitler is having dinner in the chancellery with his mistress Eva Braun when he received the message he has been waiting for. Hitler takes the message from the servant handing it out to him and opens the envelope and reads the letter, Hitler expression turns into that of delight, "I have them! I have them!" he exclaimed.

"Who!?" Eva asks, excitingly.

"The Russians! Hahaha! Now those western rats shall leave me be as I have the hope they prayed for for months!"

"Oh that's wonderful!" Eva shouts in excitement.

"Indeed it is indeed." Hitler replies.

August 23rd

Russian Empire.

The German Embassy, St. Petersburg

The domestic manufactured vehicle transporting Ribbentrop from the airport in Keiv arrives the German Embassy in St. Petersburg alongside body guards, two SS Rottenfuhrers (senior corporals), the guards of the embassy opens the door for Ribbentrop and his men to enter. In the meeting room, Olga and her foreign minister, Nikolai Kozlov, waits in the meeting room where they would meet Ribbentrop. The meeting room is newly renovated, its floor is replaced with shinny tiles and the walls are given a new coat paint Ribbentrop and his men arrives with the door opened by an imperial guard.

"Mr. Ribbentrop." Olga greets

Ribbentrop and the two SS men bows in respect, "Your imperial highness."

"Have a seat." Olga gestures.

Ribbentrop takes the seat in front of him and hold his hands together on the table.

"Welcome to the Russian Empire Mr. Ribbentrop, I have received the message from your Fuhrer that he wants to sent you to here for negotiations. I am still practically skeptical weather he means his word or not, but I'll let you do the talk for him."

"Well your highness, the Fuhrer is very pleased that you have received his message, I would like you to know that he does not see an enemy in Russia."

Olga remains suspicious.

"In fact, he had changed his mind about his views of Russia from his book and his plans for it, after learning much of Russia and her peoples, he came to regard that he rather has Russia as a friend than a foe. Further more, he admires the Russian people and their patriotism for their nation and their love for their empress. He wants to preserve that, a fellow Nationalist loves another Nationalist."

"I am glad to hear those words but as far as I'm concerned; you are just pulling a trick of your sleeve for your Fuhrer so we would be unorganized and misled in an event that the Wehrmacht will attack Russia. I have you know, Mr. Ribbentrop, that I am no fool like President Hacha or Mussolini, I want your Fuhrer to prove that he means his word for peace with the Russian Empire."

"Of course, here's the document to prove it." Ribbentrop pulls out a piece of paper from his pocket and places it in front of the Empress.

Olga reads the document and nods slowly as she goes further, the document has a good deal on it, in it are economic materials about 2,000 tons of coal and 13,000 tons of petroleum, the new petroleum plants are still under construction and thousands of newly manufactured military supply vehicle's are going to need it. Olga then looks up to Ribbentrop, "I appreciate this offer Mr. Ribbentrop but I don't think we're going need the coal supply you are offering, we have plenty of coal in our mines in siberia but we will need the petrolium supply of 13,000 tons but I need 2,000 more for the total ammount of logistical trucks that are newly manufactured, we still haven't finished the new petroleum plants yet."

"Fine, we will make it 15,000 in your wish."

"You have a deal." Olga smiled.

"Not yet."

Olga raises an eyebrow.

"Halt your training program."

"Halt my training program?"

"Well your majesty, you wanted the Fuhrer to prove his word for peace, he would also appreciate it if you prove yours. It would also be reasonable if you would stop spying on our activities."

Olga eyes widened, "B-How?" Olga hesitates in shock.

"We captured around 17 to 25 every year and our secret police has gotten information out of them through, to put it lightly, rough interrogation. If you care about the lives of these men and our new peace then it would not hurt to stop your spy operation."

Olga stays silent, she wanted to have peace and prevent war with the Germans, but she also still thinks the training program must go on incase of a German attack, but in this case as the Germans have proved their word, Olga finds it reasonable to prove her word, and because of her compassionate nature, she dosen't want any more lives to be put through torture as Ribbentrop dumbed down," Alright, as a woman of reason I am happy to halt my training program by noon tomorrow, and the spy operation shall cease."

"And we will not march our troops into Russia and you get your economic desires." Ribbentrop promises.

Kozlov and Ribbentrop signs the document that will be named the Kozlov-Ribbentrop pact which Germany and Russia are to start relations politically, the pact will shock the entire world, especially Britain and France, who have now lost a large hope in the east.

"I see how much the German people loves their Fuhrer, I shall therefor drink his health. To peace." Olga cheers her drink.

"To peace." Ribbentrop cheers his drink.

Olga and Ribbentrop drinks their wines simultaneously and formally.

August 24th

Broadcast room, Alexander Palace

The broadcast room is a small room, newly added in the palace since 1935, Olga is amazed by the new technology and sees it as a faster way to spread messages from the government to the people, the armed forces and especially to spread news. A small microphone, but enough to reach Olga's mouth, is turned on by one of Olga's ministers.

"The armed forces of Russia, good morning. I have an announcement, we have signed a new peace with the German reich, a non aggression treaty, we are to halt the training program that have been going on for a year, you may all go back to your daily duties of guarding our empire's boarders. As well as our spy operation in Germany is halted as a result of this treaty, as the first step for new relations with the Germans. That is all, thank you for listening, хоро́шего дня (Have a good day)."

Olga breaths a sigh of relief after the mic is turned off, she hopes this non aggression treaty would keep her and Hitler's nations from clash. In Hitler's dismay the Kozlov-Ribbentrop pact isn't enough to deter the allies in their support for Poland. 9 days later, on September 3rd, what Olga feared as became a reality, the second world war has begun with Hitler invading Poland which collapsed after a week of fighting. Olga now feared the possibility of the war coming to Russia, but she knew the Kozlov-Ribbentrop pact would prevent Germany to do something out of the ordinary, or so she thought...

AN: In this Universe Poland's eastern boarder is the same as its current boarder in our timeline, the reason being due to a stalemate that occured during the 1919-20 Russian-Polish boarder dispute
