Volume I: The Amazing Spider-Man
Note: This will be the fourth chapter of Volume I, this will feature Peter's first time as the amazing Spider-Man. This will also feature enemies like the Kingpin and the Enforcers.
Today is September 5th, at the Parker Residence, Peter still has a lot on his mind, how Mary Jane is processing Peter's secret, his destiny as a hero, and the vision that Madame Web showed of Gwen Stacy drowning and dying.
"It's been two days since I told Mary Jane my secret, can't imagine how she must be processing this, even I have a hard time understanding. But right now I need to focus on Gwen Stacy, because Julia showed me a vision of her dying. I don't know if that vision will come true but it doesn't matter, I won't fail Gwen like I failed Uncle Ben. I have this power and a responsibility to use them. Like Ben said, with great power comes great responsibility. If I'm going to be fighting out there as a hero then I'll need a suit to conceal my identity." Peter said in his thoughts.
Peter walked under the bed and pulled out a case that store his wrestling suit and mask, he notice a tear in the suit from all that moving he did with his powers.
"Great... even I can't use this since it's ruin, it can't handle the strain of my movements. I need to create a new suit that can withstand my flexibility and allows me to adapt with my clinging abilities." Peter said in his thoughts.
Peter looked closer to the case and found the prize money he won from the wrestling match against Crusher Hogan. He then gets an idea on what to spend it on.
Peter sat down and typed into his computer as he searches the internet for something that can be used to create his suit. He remembered the Stark Expo where Reed Richards did a demonstration of his fabric made from Unstable Molecules. He types in 'Unstable Molecules' in the search engine. He found some results and a video that he clicked and watched.
"My name is Reed Richards, CEO of the Future Foundation and I'm about to show you the applications of Unstable Molecules. A closer look at these fabrics can show that bonds to the skin and adapting with it. It's also frictionproof as it hardly tears off and is more flexible when moving. If you're interested in what you see, then place an order and have payment ready upon delivery." Reed Richards said on the video.
Peter has the money to buy the fabrics, he likes the color red though he my need to add another color to the suit.
"Crimson red is good, though some navy blue might be a nice touch." Peter said.
Peter type in an order for red and blue unstable molecules to be delivered to his house. He also made an order for a pair of hi tech goggles made by Stark Industries, the kind used for zooming in and seeing infrared and night vision, a utility belt made with a flashlight on the buckle, and last but not least some components and ingredients needed for the webshooters and synthetic webbing.
(Next Day)
Peter works alone in his room as he has boxes shipped to his house and spent a lot of money on the necessary stuff needed. He began making the suit with the fabrics he bought from Reed Richards. He created a suit made from red and blue fabrics of unstable molecules. He added black cobwebs to the suit, including a symbol of a spider. He added the spider wings underneath the armpits for gliding.
He picked up the goggles and disassemble it from the fabric that held it together. He took the white lens from the goggles and attached them to the mask he created.
He then made an upgraded version of the webshooters, making them more hi tech than before. He bought some cartridges with some extra storage capacity as he loads some batches of webbing into them.
He loaded them into the utility belt that he made, he even made modifications to the light of the belt itself, creating a red light that shows an image of his mask, calls it the spider signal.
Peter spent the entire day and night finishing his suit as he gazed upon it, he finally completed his new suit.
"You are beautiful." Peter smiled at the suit.
The door knocked as May is outside.
"Peter, are you awake?" May asked outside.
"Ah... yeah." Peter replied to May.
"It's late already, tomorrow is your first day back in school!" May reminded Peter.
Peter pulled out his phone and sees the time, it's 12:01 AM. He was so busy that he forgotten what time it is.
"Okay! Thanks for the reminder, Aunt May!" Peter to May out the door.
"Okay, good night Peter!" May said outside the door.
"Goodnight Aunt May!" Peter said as he puts everything away.
Peter then rest on his bed and goes to sleep, tomorrow morning school starts.
Morning came as the alarm on his phone rang. He picked it up and hit the snooze button as he gets up. He dressed him up in a black shirt and blue jeans, he puts on a blue hoodie.
Sometime later after he brushed his teeth, he went down to find May with a plate of wheatcakes and a mug of coffee.
"Wheatcakes and Coffee." May said as she laid it on the table.
"Thanks." Peter smiled as he sits down.
Peter and May are enjoying breakfast as it's Peter's first day of school.
"Do you have everything ready for school? A new notebook, a number 2 pencil, an eraser?" May asks if Peter has everything ready.
"Yeah, I've got everything, I'm all set." Peter assured May.
The doorbell rang as Peter wonders who it could be. He gets up after he finished his breakfast and walks to the door, he opened and sees Mary Jane here.
"Hey Tiger, you're all set?" Mary Jane smiled and asks Peter.
"Yeah, I'm ready. Let me get my stuff." Peter walked to his backpack and picks it up.
"Have fun you two." May smiled.
"We will." Peter smiled as he walks out.
Peter and Mary Jane walks to school as they plan to stop by Gwen's house on the way. Peter wonders what Mary Jane is thinking about his secret.
"It's been days since... you know." Peter says to Mary Jane.
"Oh! Yeah... it's a lot to take in. Can't believe that a spider bite gave you powers." Mary Jane says to Peter.
"Yeah, I was surprised as you were. One morning I wake up and found that I can see better than before. I looked in the mirror and suddenly I got abs now. So... are you okay with this? Me having powers and all that." Peter wonders what she's thinking.
"Hey... you'll always be Peter Parker to me, powers or no powers. I know you... you're a good person." Mary Jane says to Peter.
"Thank you MJ, you truly are the greatest friend I could ever ask for." Peter smiled at Mary Jane.
"Anytime, Tiger." Mary Jane smiled back.
Peter and Mary Jane sees Gwen coming out of the house as Peter is getting a flashback of the vision. He remembered seeing Gwen drowning in water, dying. He got a little worried about Gwen, he sees danger in her future.
"Peter, Mary Jane, thanks for coming for me." Gwen smiled to them.
"Of course, what are friends for." Mary Jane says to Gwen.
Gwen looked at Peter and noticed that he's been quiet.
"Peter? Peter!" Mary Jane snaps Peter out of his mind.
"Oh! Sorry... I'm happy to see you Gwen, shall we?" Peter smiled.
"Sure, let's go." Gwen says to Peter.
Peter, Mary Jane, and Gwen walked to school together.
An hour later they all arrived at Midtown Science High School. They see the place is packed with some faces they recognized and new students attending. They see Cindy Moon who is Korean American, Sha Shan Nguyen who is Vietnamese American, Sally Avril with her friend Jason Ionello, and Jessica Jones who is goth with purple highlights along her black hair.
"It's good to be back for our sophomore year." Peter smiled.
"It sure is." Gwen agrees with Peter.
"Look... there's Flash and Liz!" Mary Jane pointed out.
They sees Liz walking to school ignoring Flash as they still have problems in their relationship, Flash tries to talk with Liz to apologize for what he said weeks ago, but she still ignored him and walked to school.
"Are those two having problems?" Peter wonders about Flash and Liz.
"You didn't know? Flash didn't like that you and Liz were talking, he got jealous and they got into an argument. You could say that their relationship is hanging by a thread." Mary Jane explained to them.
"I never meant to come between them, I was just helping Liz." Peter said to Mary Jane and Gwen.
"I know, none of this is your fault. Flash had it coming with his attitude, it's was bound to happen. Sometime I wonder if Flash will ever change." Mary Jane says to Peter and Gwen.
"Peter!" Harry came running.
Peter turns around and sees Harry Osborn is here. Harry is best friends with Peter, Gwen, and Mary Jane, he's the son of Norman Osborn, he's got auburn hair with blue eyes, he's a spitting image of his father.
"Harry!"Peter smiled as he hugs Harry. "How are you man?"
"Oh, I was just making my entrance. Glad that I came back home, can't let you have these two ladies to yourself." Harry broke off the hug as he smiled.
"Flattered. Good to see you Harry." Mary Jane hugs Harry.
"You too MJ." Harry broke off the hug and sees Gwen. "Gwendolyne Stacy, how is Midtown's smartest girl?"
"Still sharp as ever, don't you forget that." Gwen hugs Harry.
Harry and Gwen finished hugging each other, he turns to Peter and sees that he's different than before.
"Peter, what happened to you? I barely recognized you." Harry looked at Peter.
"Let's just say that I've gone through a change since you were away." Peter replied to Harry.
"I heard... I'm... I'm sorry about Ben, I know how close you two were." Harry gives his condolences.
"Thanks... the flowers you sent on his funeral were beautiful. Thanks for that." Peter thanked Harry.
"Of course, you're like a brother to me. If you're hurt, I'm hurt too." Harry says to Peter.
The school bell rang as class is about to start soon.
"Looks like class is about to start soon, shall we?" Harry says to Peter, Gwen, and Mary Jane.
"After you?" Peter smiled at Harry.
They all attended class together as the first day of school has begun.
In the city at the 13th precinct, George Stacy and Yuri Watanabe are gathering around for an operation against organized crime, a lot of officers are sitting down to listen.
"Alright everyone, listen up. As most of you are aware, two weeks ago a military caravan was attacked and the cargo being transported to the base was stolen. About millions of dollars in equipment to be exact, assault rifles, grenade launchers, seeker missiles, and 50 cal machine guns, all of it gone." George Stacy explained to them.
"Who would have the guts to do such a thing?"
"These are the top crime bosses that control New York's underworld. First up is Lonnie Lincoln, operates out the Bronx, manufacture drugs and distributes them to anyone. Second is Silvio Manfredi, his faction is based in Little Italy, runs a shipping company that is suspected of smuggling. Third is Leland Owlsley, runs a financial firm on Wall Street, though it's suspected to be a front for money laundering but no evidence to tie it. And last but not least, the biggest crime boss of them all, the one who controls New York's underworld, the Kingpin, who's identity is still yet unknown. Theses are the main suspects." George Stacy showed pictures of the crime bosses.
"We still don't know which one is running this operation, however our informant has given us some intel. He confirmed that a shipment of weapons is being sold to Symkarian separatists. We got the location of a freighter that is to be shipped out to Europe tonight." Yuri Watanabe explained.
"Now all we need is a warrant, I know a guy who has a great reputation who works as a DA, I ask him and see if he can get us the warrant." George Stacy says to his team.
"Okay, we're done briefing. Let's get ready for tonight. This meeting is adjourned." Yuri Watanabe says to everyone.
All the officers got up and left as George and Yuri are planning a raid at the docks tonight.
"Now it's time for me to see DA Hollister for the warrant." George Stacy left the room.
The school bell rang as school ended for the day, everyone left the building. Peter then sees Gwen walking home alone.
"Hey Pete, me and MJ are heading to get coffee, want to come?" Harry asks Peter.
"Thanks but I'm gonna head home." Peter says to Harry.
"You sure, my treat?" Harry offered.
"Thanks, maybe another time. I'll see you tomorrow." Peter walks to Gwen.
Harry and Mary Jane left to get coffee while Peter runs up and caught up to Gwen.
"Hey Gwen." Peter walking beside her.
"Peter, I thought that you were hanging with Harry and Mary Jane?" Gwen says to Peter.
"I thought that I walk you home." Peter says to Gwen.
"Oh... that's kind of you. You didn't have to do that." Gwen says to Peter.
"But I want to, we hardly hang around a lot together." Peter says to Gwen.
"I have to admit, it's kind of nice seeing you smile again. You hardly talked to me and Mary Jane since your uncle died. I get that you were going through a lot of grieving." Gwen understands Peter's loss.
"I was... I wish that I can go back to the way things are, but we can't go back. I realize that I can't spend the rest of my life grieving, I had to move on." Peter explained to Gwen.
"Yeah... I understand perfectly. Loss is not an easy thing to over easily. At least we have each other to keep us going." Gwen smiles at Peter.
"You're right, I'm lucky to have a girl like you in my life." Peter smiled at her.
Gwen looked at Peter as he said those words.
"I- I don't mean 'like' like. It's... you know what I mean." Peter blushed a bit.
"It's okay... I get it, as friends." Gwen assured Peter.
"Yeah." Peter smiled at her.
Peter and Gwen continues to walk home together as he sees Gwen as someone important in his life. He couldn't believe that he said those words to her, they're only friends. He still thinks about the vision that Madame Web showed him about Gwen dying. He can't imagine what it's like to actually lose Gwen, but he promised himself to always protect the one he loves.
As night came, the docks is filled with worker loading barrels into the containers, armed men are there as security.
"Let's load them up, boss wants this done as soon as possible."
The men loads up the barrels until they stopped and heard sirens coming in, as well as helicopters. One of the helicopters shines a light down on the workers
"This is the NYPD! Stop were you are and put your hands up in the air!
The squad cars along with a SWAT van came in and secured the scene. An unmarked car came and George and Yuri stepped out.
"We have a warrant to search this place for anything illegal. So stand down and let us search!" George Stacy says to the dock workers.
Later as everyone searches the containers for the stolen weapons. A couple of SWAT officers carried out a barrel out of the container. They say it down on the floor as George and Yuri sees.
"Open it." George Stacy ordered the officer.
The officer opened the barrel and sees nothing but oil. He got in a little closer and pulls off the oil cover and sees what's hidden underneath it. He found some assault rifles inside the barrels.
"Search ever barrel immediately! Round up the workers for questioning!" George Stacy orders everyone.
The officers arrests the dock workers for their role in loading stolen weapons in barrels. The other officers pulled out more barrels out the containers, they found more of the weapons in them.
"We got them." George says to Yuri.
At Fisk Tower, a man name James Wesley walks up to the floor and sees a very large man wrestling with some guys for training. He managed to get the best of them thanks to his large size and exceptional strength. He sees his assistant waiting nearby.
"We're done for the day." Wilson Fisk got a towel to wipe off the sweat.
The two trainers left the room as Wilson Fisk walks to Wesley to see what he wants.
"What's wrong Wesley?" Wilson Fisk ask his assistant.
"We got a problem... there was a raid at the docks tonight. The police confiscated the weapons and arrested a lot of our people." Wesley explained to Fisk.
Wilson Fisk isn't too happy to hear that news.
"Those weapons were already paid for... how did this happen? Why didn't we know about this before?" Wilson Fisk demanded.
"It was Captain George Stacy who led the operation against us. He got the warrant from DA Hollister who isn't on our payroll." Wesley explained to Fisk.
Fisk slams his fist down on the table in anger, someone dared to challenge him.
"Stacy? I'll make him pay for this! Get me everything you know about him, who he loves, where he lives, everything. And call the Enforcers, I got a job for them." Wilson Fisk ordered Wesley.
Wilson Fisk is planning something against Captain Stacy, James Wesley pull out the phone and calls the Enforcers.
(Enforcer Hangout)
A man named Raymond Bloch who calls himself Ox is working out lifting weights, he is off large stature with exceptional strength.
The second guy is Daniel Brito, he calls himself Fancy Dan, he's the most flexible of the three, a gymnast and martial arts, a master in capoeira and wushu.
The last guy is their leader, Jackson Brice, everyone calls him Montana. He's a specialist in the lariat, as well as a proficient gunslinger, he speaks with a southern accent. His phone rang as it's a client calling.
"Quiet boys, looks like a client is calling us." Montana answered the phone. "Jackson Brice, who might be calling?"
"Montana, my employer has a job for you." James Wesley wants his service.
"I'm listening." Montana listens to the client.
The 13th precinct is packed with dock workers and guards who were there at the scene of the crime.
George Stacy is in the other room listening to the mics as Yuri interrogating the worker.
"Give us a name of who's running this operation and maybe we can work out a deal for a lesser sentence." Yuri is interrogating.
"I don't know! I never even met the guy, I swear!"
Sometime later as George exits the room, Yuri did the same.
"Nothing, either he doesn't know or is too scared to talk. So far we don't have name of the boss." Yuri Watanabe says to George.
"Not surprising, Kingpin is too smart to leave any evidence. But the good news is that we've taken back the weapons stolen from the army. It's a big win." George Stacy sees this as a victory.
George and Yuri sees a military official in the precinct escorted by soldiers.
"Captain Stacy, on behalf of the United States Army, we thank you for all your work in seeking justice for our comrades and returning the weapons to Army custody."
George and Yuri salutes them as the Army are here to take jurisdiction of the weapons stolen from the caravan.
"I guess this is out of our hands nows." Yuri says to George.
"Yeah, let's hope this whole operation doesn't bite us in the ass." George is worried about retaliation.
Back in Fisk Tower, Wilson Fisk is speaking to the other crime lords by video screens, they're speaking about recent events from last night.
"Unbelievable Fisk, you said that you have everything under control." Silvermane said non the screen.
"I do... this was unexpected." Wilson Fisk says to the screen.
"Those weapons were already paid for, the symkarians are expecting those weapons delivered to them as soon as possible." Owlsley said to Fisk.
"I'm very aware." Fisk says to them.
"Good, if we don't get those weapons to them or don't even pay back their money with interest, then they'll come for our heads!" Lonnie Lincoln stated to Fisk.
"That will never happen, I'll handle this matter even if I have to kill for it. You have my word." Fisk finished his conversation.
The video screens turned off as the crime lords finished their meeting. James Wesley came in along with the Enforcers.
"Mr. Fisk... heard that you got a job for us." Montana says to Fisk.
"Correct you are, but first let's hear what Wesley found on Captain George Stacy. Wesley, if you may." Wilson Fisk says to Montana and Wesley.
"George Stacy, mid 50s, Captain of the 13th precinct of the New York Police Department, he's got quite a commendation, took down a couple of crime families down, always does things by the book, in my opinion he's the most honest cop I know off." James Wesley reads George's resumé on the tablet.
"Any weaknesses we can exploit?" Wilson Fisk says to Wesley.
"He's currently a widow, his wife Helen died about ten years ago, murdered by a crime family that Captain Stacy was investigating. His only family is his daughter, Gwendolyne Maxine Stacy, 15, sophomore at Midtown Science High School, good grades." Wesley continues to read.
"His daughter... Mmm... interesting. Let use her to get Captain Stacy to return those weapons to us!" Wilson Fisk smiled deviously.
"We can arrange her kidnapping after school." Wesley suggested it.
"No! Better yet, do it during school, let everyone know about this." Wilson Fisk said to everyone.
"Uh... look boss, we okay with kidnapping and all that, but raiding a school full of teens seems like overkill." Montana is uncomfortable with the idea.
"I want this to be a message to Captain Stacy and everyone who dares defy me, let them know that there are consequences for going up against me, the Kingpin. Besides, who's gonna stop me?" Wilson Fisk smiled and chuckles.
Wilson Fisk is revealed himself as a ruthless criminal who controls all the crime in New York, he is the Kingpin.
Peter is in the bed sleeping as he is twisting and turning.
Gwen Stacy is tied up to a chair drowning underwater as she struggles to get free, but she couldn't as she closes her eyes and drowns to her death.
Peter woke up as it is morning, he looked at his phone as it is 6:15 in the morning. He had the dream again of Gwen's death.
"Just another dream of the vision, it's beens weeks since Julia showed me that glimpse of Gwen's fate. I hope that she never has to face such a fate, I can't imagine what my life would be without her." Peter said in his thoughts.
Peter got up and went under his bed to pull out the suit that he made but never tested.
"Let's hope that I won't have to wear you anytime soon." Peter says to the suit.
He puts it back under the bed as he went to the bathroom to get dressed and brushed his teeth.
Later at the Enforcer hangout as they prepare their operation of capturing Gwen Stacy. Montana, Fancy Dan, and Ox are armed with guns and have vests on. They see group of henchmen that the Kingpin loaned them for this operation.
"Listen up boys, our target is this girl." Montana holds up a picture of Gwen. "Her name is Gwen Stacy, our sources have confirmed that she's currently at Midtown Science High School as we speak. This operation is simple, we go in and grabbed Miss Stacy, we hold the school hostage and wait for the police to come. We're gonna use his daughter as leverage. If Captain Stacy doesn't comply with our demands, then we do what we have to do. Understand?"
Everyone agreed with Montana's words as they raised their guns up.
"Alright boys, time to go back to school." Montana says to the men.
Meanwhile at Midtown High, Peter, Mary Jane, Gwen, and Harry are in science class being taught by Professor Raymond Warren, science teacher who sees Peter and Gwen as his star pupils.
"Does anyone know what mitosis is?" Raymond Warren says to class.
Gwen raised her hand up for Warren to see.
"Miss Stacy?" Raymond Warren says to Gwen.
"A process where a single cell is divided into two cells." Gwen answers the question.
"Correct, Miss Stacy." Raymond Warren smiled.
Peter looked at Gwen still impressed by her intellect as they're both the smartest students in Midtown.
(Outside Midtown High)
A van came in and parked itself nearby Midtown as armed men came out with guns.
"You know the drill, no necessary shots, take as much hostages alive, but make sure that Gwen Stacy is one of them, understood?" Montana says to the men.
Everyone nodded their heads in agreement.
"Let's go." Montana orders as they got out the van.
The Enforcers and the men are sneaking to avoid detection as they sees the front entrance.
"There, two resource officers there." Fancy Dan pointed out.
The Enforcers quietly enters the building as the resource officers sees men with guns pointing at them.
"Don't move!" Fancy Dan points his gun.
The officers raised their hands up as the Enforcers already have their guns aimed at them, a couple of henchmen got closer and took the guns from the holsters, they took two hostages.
Meanwhile in science class, Mary Jane raised her hand as Professor Warren sees her hand raised.
"Miss Watson." Raymond Warren says to Mary Jane.
"I need a restroom break." Mary Jane says to Raymond.
"Alright, take the hall pass and go." Raymond Warren gave permission.
Mary Jane got up and grabbed the hall pass, she exits the room.
She walks around the hall until she's spotted men with guns in the school, she hides behind as they didn't spot her.
"My god, this is bad." Mary Jane whispered.
She needs to alert everyone about the danger, she sees the fire alarm switch nearby as she gets an idea. She got the switch and turns it on, the whole school has a fire drill.
Back in science class, Professor Warren and the rest of class heard the alarm.
"Fire alarm, everyone out of class right now!" Raymond Warren tells everyone.
Everyone got up and exits the class, Peter's spider sense is tingling in his head, it means that danger is nearby.
Meanwhile the Enforcers and the men heard the alarm go off as it complicates their plan.
"Damn it! Shut that damn thing off. Everyone make sure that no one leaves! Dan, Ox, get to the security room and seal off the building immediately!" Montana orders everyone.
Fancy Dan and Ox proceed to the security office.
Students are exiting classrooms as one of them sees men with guns and screamed.
"Ahhh! They have guns!"
The students began to ran out of the school as the henchmen tries to contain this situation.
Peter, Gwen, and Harry exited the class as they see Mary Jane waiting for them.
"MJ, what's going on?" Peter asks Mary Jane.
"There are men with guns here, we have to get out of here!" Mary Jane explained to them.
Peter grabbed Mary Jane's hand as he escorted Gwen and Harry to the exit.
Flash, Liz, Kong, Betty, Glory, along with some students have been captured by the henchmen.
Fancy Dan and Ox reached the security station as they sees the controls for the lockdown, they activated the lockdown of the entire building.
Peter and Mary Jane runs out of the building, Harry followed after them.
"Where's Gwen?" Peter got worried.
"Peter!" Gwen is running towards them.
"Gwen, come on, you're almost there!" Peter calls to Gwen.
Gwen almost made it to the door as the steel doors closed off the entire school, Gwen is trapped inside with some students.
Peter ran up to the door as it's sealed shut.
"Gwen!" Peter yelled outside the door.
Peter can't do anything for Gwen as she's still trapped inside the school with armed men.
At the 13th precinct in the city, an officer barged into the Captain's office.
"Captain Stacy, there's been an emergency!"
"What is it officer?" George Stacy asks the officer.
"There's a hostage situation happening in Midtown High, your daughter is among them."
"Christ... get officers to the scene and seal off the area immediately!" George Stacy orders.
"Yes sir!"
George Stacy couldn't believe that his daughter along with some students are in danger. He grabbed his gun and left in a hurry.
Inside the school as the a group of hostages assembled inside a classroom, the Enforcers showed themselves to them.
"Listen up! Me and my associates have control of this building, no one can get in or out. We have no desire to hurt any of you... as long as you cooperate. Now... is there a Gwen Stacy here?" Montana tells the hostages.
Gwen Stacy shows herself to them.
"There you are, now come with me please." Montana tells Gwen.
Flash got up and got between Gwen and Montana.
"Stay away from her." Flash protects Gwen.
Ox then punched Flash in the gut as Flash falls down in pain.
"You bastards!" Kong got angry.
Montana pulls his gun and points at the students.
"Shut up! We're not playing games here! If any of you do something stupid, then none of you will live to regret it." Montana intimidates them.
"Okay! Don't hurt them! I'll go with you guys!" Gwen pleads with them.
"Thank you, this way please." Montana tells Gwen.
Gwen left with the Enforcers as the henchmen are outside guarding the door, Flash and the students are trapped.
Outside the school as police cars came in with sirens, they close off the area as some officers are helping the students that managed to escape before the lockdown.
Peter, Mary Jane, and Harry are still outside as police are securing the scene. Police mobile headquarters came in as well as SWAT tactical vehicles.
News vans and helicopters are circling around to get the news.
A police helicopter came landing as Captain George Stacy and Lieutenant Yuri Watanabe exits and joins up with the police sergeant.
"Captain Stacy, Sergeant Jefferson Davis." Jefferson Davis introduced himself.
"Sergeant, what's the situation?" George Stacy asks Sergeant Davis.
"About ten gunman has locked down the school, most of the students and staff manage to escape in time, but there's at least 30 hostages still inside, including your daughter." Jefferson Davis explained the situation.
"Any casualties?" George ask Jefferson Davis.
"No casualties so far. We locked down the scene." Jefferson Davis gave an answer.
"Captain Stacy!" Peter calls out.
Peter, Mary Jane, and Harry are walking towards them but an officer stopped them.
"Hey, stay back!"
"It's okay, they're friends of my daughter, let them through." George Stacy let's them pass. "What happened?"
"We tried to escape together but we were separated by the crowd as we ran. The door closed as Gwen was coming out, she's still inside." Peter explained about Gwen.
"Don't worry, we're gonna get her out of there. I promise." George Stacy assured them.
(Inside the school)
In the principal's office, Gwen is being tied up to a chair by Ox as Montana is sitting down on the desk, he dials the phone on the table.
"Time to call Daddy." Montana looks at Gwen.
This whole thing is about her father, she's the target to be used against her father.
(At Mobile Headquarters)
George and Yuri is inside along with Peter, Mary Jane, and Harry. The officers got a call from a landline inside the school.
"Captain, there's a call coming from a landline inside the school."
"Put it through on speaker." George orders the officer.
The officer puts the call through the speaker as George is about to speak.
"Who am I speaking to?" George Stacy says to the speaker.
"Who I am doesn't matter, what matters is you Captain Stacy. I am talking to Captain George Stacy, father of Gwen Stacy, am I correct?" Montana said on the speaker.
"Yes, this is Captain Stacy. What's the condition of the hostages inside?" George Stacy wonders.
"Oh! Don't worry, no one has been shot if that's what you're worried about." Montana says on the speaker.
"If you let them go, then maybe we can work out a deal. This doesn't have to get ugly." George Stacy assured the mastermind.
"Right now Captain, you're not in control of anything. We're in control right now." Montana says on the speaker.
"What is it you want?" George Stacy ask the leader.
"What I want is the weapons from yesterday's raid at the docks, do you remember that?" Montana explains the demands.
George and Yuri are shocked to find out that this is about that seizure they made last night. Unfortunately the weapons are already returned to the Army.
"I can't do that, I'm sorry." George Stacy says to the leader.
(Inside the school)
"Someone here wants to speak with you." Montana looks at Gwen and holds the phone to her. "Here, say hi to daddy."
"Dad!" Gwen speaks on the phone.
(Mobile headquarters)
George is shocked to hear Gwen's voice, as did Peter, Mary Jane, and Harry.
"Gwen... are you alright?" George said concerned.
"I'm fine..." Gwen got cut off.
"Gwen... Gwen!" George tries to hear Gwen.
"Don't worry, she's here and she's well taken care of. Here's my proposal, give back those weapons back to our employers and we'll give you further instructions. If our demands are not met, then you'll get the idea." Montana says his demands.
"I can't get those weapons back that easily, I need authorization, it's gonna take time." George Stacy explains.
"Then you better get started, starting now." Montana hangs up.
"Hello... hello!" George tries to call but no luck.
"We lost the line, sir."
"Damn it!" George takes a deep breath. "This is retaliation for our operation last night. They're using Gwen and the hostages as leverage against us."
"We can't get those weapons back since the Army already taken them." Yuri Watanabe says to George.
"I know, but we need to try, otherwise this won't end well for anyone." George Stacy is worried.
"Okay... we'll try to contact them, see what we can do." Yuri is about make contact.
"Listen kids, you should go home where you'll be safe, I promise that we'll do everything in our power to help Gwen." George assures them.
"Okay... I understand." Peter says to George.
Peter, Mary Jane, and Harry exits the mobile headquarters as George and Yuri are working on scenarios to free the hostages.
"I should get going, stay in touch." Harry says to Peter and Mary Jane.
"We will." Mary Jane says to Harry.
Harry left as Peter and Mary Jane are still worried for their friend Gwen, especially Peter.
"I need to get home as soon as possible." Peter walks away.
"Peter... why are you going home?" Mary Jane walks with Peter.
"I need to get something from my room." Peter says to Mary Jane.
Peter and Mary Jane left the area as they head back to Forest Hills.
Inside the school, The Enforcers still has control of the school until Montana's burner phone rang.
"It's him." Montana answers it. "Boss?"
"I see that you did your part in getting everyone's attention." Kingpin says on the phone.
"Of course, that was the plan. Now that we have his daughter, Captain Stacy will agree to our demands." Montana says to the phone.
"Excellent, once he gets the weapons back to us, kill his daughter." Kingpin orders him.
"Boss?" Montana is confused.
"You heard me, let her death be an example to everyone who dares goes against the Kingpin." Kingpin explains.
"Understood." Montana hangs up.
Gwen listened as she heard that they'll kill her after her dad gives them what they want.
At mobile headquarters as the sunsets, George Stacy is on the phone trying to convince the Army to give back the weapons they've seized.
"General, there are lives at stake." George Stacy pleaded.
"I understand Captain Stacy, but this country has a strict policy against negotiating with terrorist and kidnappers."
"General, if we don't do something fast everyone will die, including my daughter." George Stacy pleads again.
"And I sympathize, I really do. But if we give into their demands, then we'll send a message to everyone that we allow it. The top brass will see it as a sign of weakness. I'm sorry Captain, but I can't do anything."
George takes some deep breaths. "I understand. Thank you."
George hangs up as everyone see that it's not good news.
"Not good, we can't get those weapons back." George says to everyone.
"This is not good, as soon as they call back, who knows what they'll do." Yuri says to George.
"I know." George Stacy fells powerless.
May is watching the news about the hostage situation at Midtown High, she's worried for Peter.
The door opens as she sees Peter and Mary Jane here at home.
"Oh Peter!" May walks up and hugs him. "I'm so glad that you're alright, I was so worried."
"I'm okay, right now I'm worried for Gwen." Peter is still worried.
"I heard, poor Gwen, I hope that she makes it out okay." May looking worried.
"So do I... so do I." Peter walks upstairs.
Peter and Mary Jane are both alone in the room as Peter goes under the bed to pull out a case.
"What are we doing here?" Mary Jane asks Peter.
Peter opens the case to unveil his new suit, its red and blue.
"What is this?" Mary Jane asks Peter.
"It's the suit I've made, I'd hoped that this day would never come... right now I have no choice." Peter holds up the suit.
"What are you talking about?" Mary Jane says to Peter.
"I've been given these great powers and I have a responsibility to use them to do good. I'm gonna go and save Gwen." Peter explains to MJ.
"What? Peter, are you crazy? You're not a fireman or a police officer, you're just a kid." Mary Jane protest against this.
"No... I'm so much more than that. Madame Web told me that I have a destiny. My destiny to be a hero." Peter explains his destiny.
"Peter, why don't we let Captain Stacy or the police handle this? You don't have to do this." Mary Jane pleaded.
"Yes, I do... my uncle died because I let the man who killed him go that day, I swore to myself that I never let that happen again. My uncle once told me that with great power comes great responsibility. I can't stand by and do nothing, Gwen is in real danger and I have the power to save her, to save everyone. I swear that I'm not crazy, I finally figured out what I'm supposed to do., and I know in my heart that it's right." Peter says his words.
Mary Jane doesn't like the idea that Peter heading into danger without thinking, but she could see in his eyes that he's been more serious than he ever was in his entire life. She could tell that nothing she says will stop him from doing what needs to be done.
"Okay... go... save her Peter... save everyone." Mary Jane smiled to Peter.
"Thank you MJ... time for me to suit up." Peter got up holding his suit.
"Are you sure that this suit works? Has been tested?" Mary Jane wonders.
"We're about to find out." Peter enters the bathroom to change.
Peter is alone in the bathroom as he undress himself and puts on the new suit. He could feel the fabric like it's being part of him, it's light and flexible for him to move.
Mary Jane later sees the door opening as Peter steps out of the bathroom wearing a red and blue suit, his mask has white lens for better vision.
"Wow!" Mary Jane smiles as her eyes widen.
"I know... I should get going." Peter walks to the window.
"Peter, wait!" Mary Jane says to Peter as he turns his head. "Go get them Tiger."
Peter nods his head as he jumps out the window and heads back to school, to save everyone, to save Gwen. Mary Jane watched as she sees Peter more differently than before.
Peter arrived at a hospital in Queens as he found a helicopter on the pad and the pilot. The pilot turns around and sees a guy in a red suit.
"Who are you and what do you want?"
"I need your help, I need a ride to save lives." Peter asks the pilot.
Sometime later as the medic helicopter is flying in the zone where Midtown High is in view.
"We're here! Now what?"
"Now I jump! Once I'm gone, you get out of here! And thank you for the ride!" Peter said as he opens the door.
He stands as he is high enough for a jump.
"Hey! Don't you need a parachute?!"
"I got something better!" Peter closes his arms.
He jumps off the helicopter and opens his arms to summon his web wings, he glides up in the air as flies to Midtown High.
"Ha, ha! This is awesome!" Peter said in the air.
Peter sees two sentry on the top of the roof as he glides. They see something flying towards them.
"What the hell is that?!"
Peter stopped gliding and rolled in the air as he kicked off the first sentry, knocking him out cold. The other sentry aims his gun but Peter fired off his webbing at the gun and yanks it off. He fires another line and hits him, he pulled him towards him and executes a flying knee. The other sentry got knocked out cold as Peter carries him to his buddy and webs them together.
"Two down, eight to go." Peter says to himself.
He found a hatch that allows him to enter from the rooftop, he opened it and jumped down inside the school.
He sneaks around and found another henchmen nearby patrolling, he webs him back to him and punched him out cold.
He continues to patrol until he found two upstairs looking at the window to make sure that no cops come in. Peter webs their weapons and yanks them off their hands. He runs up and does the split kick on them both.
He found one guarding the back entrance, he then gets an idea.
"Hey pal, can you help me out with something!" Peter imitating a henchmen's voice.
The henchmen went to the voice and looks around and sees nothing, he then got webbed from the top and sees someone hanging above the ceiling, Peter pulls him up and punched him.
He proceeded to the front entrance and sees one henchmen guarding that place. He webs up the weapons and disarms him, he runs up and wrapped his legs around his neck, he flips him down hard.
Peter continues to find some hostages to rescue as he found only one henchmen guarding the classroom, he figures that where the hostages are.
Insider the classroom, Flash, Liz, some students and school staff are held up in the room. Flash heard a commotion outside the room like a fight or something.
"Guys, do you hear that?" Flash whispers to everyone.
Flash got closer to the wall and could swear that he heard punching and kicking outside until the door burst down and they see a henchmen down out cold.
Everyone is surprised that one of the henchmen is taken out. They see a guy in a red and blue suit before their eyes.
"Who are you supposed to be?" Flash asks the mysterious guy.
"I'm... Spider-Man." Spider-Man introduced himself.
Flash and everyone is confused as they never heard of him.
"Come again?" Flash asks again.
"Never mind, where's Gwen Stacy?" Spider-Man asks about Gwen.
"They took her to the principal's office, she's with three goons in there." Flash says to Spider-Man.
"Alright, I'm gonna go save her. In the meantime, start evacuating everyone here. I'll go to the security station and open the doors. Make sure that you go out quietly." Spider-Man says to them.
"I can go and help you find Gwen." Flash offers his help.
"Thank you, but I need you to help get them out of here... please." Spider-Man asks Flash.
Flash nods his head. "Okay... I'll make sure that they get out safely. Promise me that you'll save Gwen."
"I will... I promise." Spider-Man says to Flash.
The two resource officer grabbed the guns off the floor as they help escort the hostages out the classroom quietly, Spider-Man went to the station as Flash watched him, he couldn't help but respect the guy who saved their lives.
Spider-Man arrived at the security station as he found the controls to the doors.
"Time to get everyone out." Spider-Man said to himself.
He found the button to disengage the lockdown.
"And... open sesame." Spider-Man says in humor.
The steel doors in every door is opening as Flash and everyone is happy that they're being freed.
(Outside the School)
Captain Stacy, Lieutenant Watanabe, and Sergeant Davis looks out and sees the doors opening as people are exiting out.
"Hold! We're the hostages! We're coming out!" Flash raised his hands up.
"All units, hold fire. Hostages are coming out!" George Stacy orders everyone.
The officers outside came closer to escort them outside the school.
(The principal's office)
"Montana, look!" Fancy Dan points out.
The Enforcers look out the window and sees the hostages escaping.
"No, no, no! They're getting away! Damn it! Take the girl with us! It's time we escape!" Montana orders his guys.
The Enforcers took Gwen with them until they stopped at the door and sees a guy in red and blue.
"You're not going anywhere!" Spider-Man not looking happy.
"Who the hell are you?" Montana asks the guy.
"I'm Spider-Man." Spider-Man introduced himself.
Montana pulled out a knife and has it at Gwen's neck.
"Whoever you are, you made a big mistake! Don't do anything stupid or she gets it!" Montana threatening Gwen's life.
"Let her go right now! I promise that you won't regret it!" Spider-Man said in anger.
"Not a chance, she's our ticket out of this!" Montana wheels out Gwen.
Spider-Man stepped aside as Montana takes Gwen with her.
"Ox, Fancy Dan, kill his ass!" Montana orders them.
Spider-Man is alone with two Enforcers here. Fancy Dan pulls out his batons as Ox got his brass knuckles ready. Spider-Man is about to fight off two henchmen as Fancy Dan throws the first strike, he tries to hits Spider-Man with his batons but he quick and flexible. He then sees Ox charging in with his fists thrown. Both Enforcers are attacking Spider-Man but every strike is ineffective. Spider-Man pulled back from Fancy Dan's strikes until Ox got behind him and squeezes him tight. Spider-Man kicked Fancy Dan back while trapped. He then head butts backwards and hits Ox, he gotten loose and grabbed his arm, he tossed him hard at Fancy Dan. He webs them both down on the floor together.
"Gwen." Spider-Man said to himself.
He runs out of the office and sees nothing.
"Gwen!!!" Spider-Man calls out loud.
"Over here!!!" Gwen yelled back.
He found the source of the voice and follows it. He runs down the hall to find Gwen.
He followed the trail all the way to the indoor pool of the school. Spider-Man sees a body of water between him and Gwen.
"Stop right there!" Spider-Man yelled.
Montana stopped and sees Spider-Man here. Gwen is still tied up to the chair.
"So you bested Ox and Fancy Dan, I'm impressed." Montana holds Gwen.
"Let her go right now! Last chance!" Spider-Man demanded.
"Oh I see, you feel something for this girl. How romantic! If you want her, catch!" Montana tossed Gwen into the pool.
"No!!!" Spider-Man yelled in fear.
Gwen is still tied to the chair as she's drowning, unable to escape.
Montana draws out his pistols and fires off rounds at Spider-Man but Spidey is too quick as the bullets missed.
"Stay still, bug boy!" Montana firing his pistols.
Spider-Man swings across the pool and webs the barrels shut, Montana drops them. Spider-Man and Montana are face to face. Spider-Man runs and does a flying kick but Montana dodged it and tossed his lariat at Spidey, he got his arm knotted.
"Is that all you got?" Spider-Man says to Montana.
"No... not even close!" Montana pressed the button.
The lariat is electrical as Spider-Man is being shocked by the electricity. He sees down the pool and sees Gwen dying before his eyes. He grabbed the lariat and pulled it with every strength, Montana got pulled and Spider-Man does the push kick. Montana got kicked back hard and hit the wall, he tries to get up until Spider-Man punched him in the face, knocking him out cold.
He then look down at the pool as Gwen is still drowning, he dives in and swims underwater. He continues to swim as deep as he can and sees Gwen is out of air, her eyes are closing. Spider-Man grabbed the rope tying her to the chair, he rips it off. He carried Gwen out of the water.
He got her above the water and out of the pool. He looks down and sees that she's not breathing. He took off his mask and put his hands on her chest, he's trying to get her to breath, he does mouth to mouth. He breathes in air into her.
"Come on Gwen, breathe!" Peter says to Gwen.
Gwen is still not responding, he does more chest compressions to her, he then performs more mouth to mouth.
"Come on! I can't loss another one I love, not again!" Peter tries to get her to breathe.
Peter does more chest compressions and more mouth to mouth.
"Please Gwen! Come back to me! Fight!" Peter yelled to her.
Gwen coughed out water out of her lungs as she's breathing again.
"Gwen... thank god that you're alright." Peter smiled as she's alive.
Gwen opened her eyes a bit and sees a blur but she got a small glimpse of Peter's face until she closes them.
"Peter?" Gwen said her word.
Peter puts his mask back on as he goes back to being Spider-Man. Gwen opened her eyes again and sees Spider-Man before her.
"You... you saved me. I could've swore that I saw Peter's face and heard his voice." Gwen says to Spider-Man.
"It's probably a hallucination, but the important thing is that you're okay. It's over now, you're going home." Spider-Man says to Gwen.
(Outside the school)
Mary Jane returned back to the scene to find Flash, Liz, Betty, Glory, and others alive and unharmed. She still couldn't find Gwen or Peter.
"Captain Stacy, look!" Yuri points to the school.
Everyone sees Spider-Man coming out of the entrance carrying Gwen Stacy in his arms, everyone is relieved to see Gwen is alive and well. Mary Jane smiled as she witnessed something amazing, Peter saved Gwen and so many lives today.
George Stacy walks up to Spider-Man carrying his daughter.
"Gwen! Thank god that you're alright!" George is relieved to see Gwen again.
"She needs medical attention immediately." Spider-Man pointed out to Captain Stacy.
"Of course, bring a medic!" George calls out.
Paramedics came in as Spider-Man laid her on the stretcher.
"Spider-Man... thank you." Gwen smiled at him and expressed her gratitude.
"No need... I'm glad that you're alright. That's all that matters." Spider-Man says to her.
Spider-Man heard a clap as he sees Flash Thompson smiling as he claps, Liz joined in and claps, as did Betty and Glory, then pretty soon everyone claps their hands.
"Let's give it up for Spider-Man!" Flash said out loud.
Everyone cheered and thanked Spider-Man for his courageous actions. He saved a lot of lives today.
He stepped back as he ran and webs up to the building. He stands above the rooftop with everyone looking, some started pulling out their phones and taking pictures and recording videos, news networks got the footages of Spider-Man.
He left the area as everyone is amazed by his actions in saving lives, he gave them hope.
Back in Fisk Tower, the Kingpin still sits at his desk awaiting the Enforcers and their progress. The door opened as James Wesley enters the office.
"What is it, Wesley?" Kingpin awaits an answer.
"Sir, something unexpected happened. I think that you should see this." James Wesley turns on the TV.
Fisk sees the recent news about Midtown High.
"Tonight something unbelievable has happened. A vigilante who calls himself Spider-Man has stopped a hostage situation and took down the criminals responsible for this incident. As we can see police are bringing in the culprits responsible and will be facing charges for this despicable act. The people of New York can rest easy as no lives were lost thanks to the intervention of Spider-Man."
Fisk sees the images of his men being arrested along with the Enforcers. The next shows the video of the hero known as Spider-Man.
Thanks to Spider-Man's intervention, Kingpin has lost this battle as Spider-Man's actions has dealt a crippling blow to the Kingpin.
"Nooo!!!!" Kingpin slams his fist on the table in anger.
Spider-Man arrived at the hospital in Queens as he found a place nearby to change, he landed at an alley where Mary Jane is waiting.
"You're right on time Tiger." Mary Jane holds a backpack.
"Thanks for bringing my clothes." Peter took the backpack.
Peter pulls out his clothes inside as he's about to change, he could see Mary Jane looking at him.
"Some privacy if you don't mind?" Peter says to Mary Jane.
"Right, I'll turn around as you change." Mary Jane turns her back, facing the other way.
Peter changes out of his Spider-Man suit and into his regular attire, Mary Jane still looks the other way.
"Okay, you can turn around." Peter says to Mary Jane.
Mary Jane turns around and sees Peter all dressed up in normal clothes.
"That was quick." Mary Jane is surprised.
"Hopefully this quickness will come in handy. How is Gwen?" Peter wonders about Gwen.
"She's fine, though the doctors are making sure she doesn't have any complications. But she's otherwise fine." Mary Jane explains about Gwen.
"That's good to hear." Peter smiled as Gwen is okay.
"She's alive thanks to you, so is everyone else. You were... amazing. You're like... Captain America." Mary Jane is happy for Peter.
"It felt great doing something good, no one has died today. I wished that I could've done it sooner." Peter thinks about Ben.
"Peter... I think that Ben would be so proud of the man you've become." Mary Jane assured Peter.
"I think that way too. So shall we?" Peter says to Mary Jane.
"Let's go." Mary Jane smiles as they walk.
Peter and Mary Jane are inside the hospital to visit Gwen Stacy. Mary Jane notice something on Peter's lips.
"Peter, wait!" Mary Jane stopped him.
"What is it MJ?" Peter asks her.
Mary Jane puts her finger on Peter's lips and found lipstick on his lips.
"You got lipstick on your lips." Mary Jane shows her fingers.
Peter looked at the mirror and sees some lipstick on him. He remembered that he had his lips on Gwen when he performed CPR to save her life.
"Oh, I was performing CPR to save her." Peter blushed a bit.
"Ah huh!" Mary Jane says to Peter.
"Should we proceed?" Peter still looking a bit red.
Peter and Mary Jane enters the room and sees Harry and George with Gwen who is in bed.
"Peter, Mary Jane, thank you both for coming." Gwen is happy to see them.
"Of course, we so glad that you're alright." Mary Jane smile at Gwen.
"That Spider guy is the hero, he saved her life, saved a lot of lives. He's spectacular." Harry says to them.
Peter smiled as he felt good that someone complemented his actions, they even called him a hero.
"Why don't we let Gwen rest a bit. See you tomorrow." George kissed Gwen on the forehead.
Everyone is leaving the room.
"Peter... could you stay a moment please?" Gwen asks Peter.
"Yeah." Peter says to Gwen then turns to everyone. "It's okay, see you guys later."
Peter stayed behind as he and Gwen are alone in the room.
"What is it?" Peter took a seat next to Gwen.
"When I came back to life, I could've sworn that I saw your face." Gwen says to Peter.
Peter remembered that he removed his mask to perform CPR to save her life, she opened her eyes a bit after she breathe.
"Spider-Man said that I had a hallucination, but it felt... real. It's crazy right?" Gwen smiled at Peter.
Peter smiled back. "Yeah... it's crazy. But I'm glad that you're here, you mean so much to me."
Peter grabbed her hand as Gwen grips it back. Peter and Gwen smiled at each other, they seem to develop warm feelings towards each other that neither of them can describe.
