Bo is driving the wagon with the Ingalls children in the back tied up.The cow is hitched to the side and mooing alot. The crooks didn't notice Bandit the dog was missing. Baby Grace is still crying even though they have the Cow they haven't given Grace any milk yet. After driving a little bit out of Town, Barry out of the corner of his eye sees a building and says to Bo, "Over there it looks like a building where we can hold up and maybe noone will look here since it's so close to Town and right under their noses!"

Since it's dark outside they couldn't really see what the outside of the building looks like and also being concerned with the mooing Cow and Grace's crying they didn't take notice to the 'Enchanted Cottage' all Bo says as he gets a lantern lit, "Milk the Cow and give that kid some milk and shut her up!"

The next morning when Harry, Barry and Bo wake up, Harry heads outside to just get a bit of fresh air and as he opens the door and looks at the front of the house he yells and screams. Bo asks, "Harry, what's the matter?"

Harry yells, "PINK AND PURPLE, the building is ugly with pink and purple.''

Albert replies, "Oh yes, I remember! Hey it's not ugly Laura and I painted this."

Bo then asks, "Pink and purple? Oh it figures stupid kids painted it. Bo continues, "Oh forget the colors we need to take a ransom note back to the Ingalls place so we can get that money and get out of here. I will take it, Harry, Barry you stay here with the brats."

Meanwhile at the Garvey's Bandit has just arrived and Jonathan is wondering why Bandit is there without the Ingalls children and he figures something is wrong at the Ingalls place. He heads over to the Ingalls place to check it out. When Jonathan gets to the Ingalls place he notices the place is a mess and can't find the children. He also notices wagon tracks and Cow tracks. Jonathan goes into Town to form a search party for the Ingalls children.

As Jonathan is leaving the Ingalls place he doesn't see Bo right behind him to leave a ransom note. Bo also notices the Wagon and Cow tracks they left. He precedes to wipe them away.

Meanwhile in Mankato Charles and Caroline have just been to the Bank and talked to Mr. Sprague about their inheritance from Mrs. Ingalls' Aunt Peg. They received $5,000 and Charles and Caroline both decided to take it back to Walnut Grove with them for they wanted to give it to the Blind School that Mary their daughter and Adam their son-in-law operates. After Charles and Caroline got done with business at the Bank they decided to go to a nice restaurant to celebrate their inheritance and also their anniversary. At the restaurant they looked at the menu and noticed a dish called escargot. Without really knowing what it is Charles asks, "Caroline would you like to try this it sounds different?"

Caroline agrees to try it but when the Waiter brings it to them Caroline looks at it and says, "It's snails..."

Charles replies, "It's' ok, we can give it a try it. It won't hurt us." They eat their meal of snails and continue to talk as Charles continues to say, "We can go home tomorrow and put the money in the Bank for the Blind School."

Back in Walnut Grove Jonathan Garvey has gotten a search party to look for the Ingalls children. The search party consists of Jonathan Garvey, Adam Kendall and Hans Dorphler, the one who owns the stable where the horses and wagon was stolen from, Nels Olsen and Almanzo Wilder.
