Shiro was preparing the table, ready for Jorgan and Haman's visit, Shiro had asked Jorgan if he and Haman would like to come over for dinner at the weekend and Jorgan accepted.
Norris Amada (Aina and Shiro's Son) was watching television at the time with Aina when they heard a door knock
"I'll get it" said Aina
Aina opened the door to find Haman and Jorgan at the door smiling, Jorgan was wearing his Titans overcoat and Haman wore her black dress that she always used to wear (one of her two outfits she still had left along with her flight suit).
"Hello Jorgan, good to see you and you must be Haman, good to meet you" said Aina as she hugged them both before leading them into the kitchen.
"Shiro, our guests are here" said Aina
"Alright honey, I'm just preparing the table and cutlery" said Shiro
"Nice to see you both, dinner should be ready in 5 minutes" said Aina
After 5 minutes, the dinner was prepared, it was a roast dinner with chicken from Shiro and Aina's farm nearby and fish from the catches Shiro caught in the morning.
The 5 of them sat down at the dinner table, ready to eat their food.
"So Haman, how are you finding things" said Aina
"At first I found things strange as I was used to living in the public eye as well as both the cramped conditions of Axis and later the luxurious conditions of Side 3, so now living quietly hiding from the Earth Federation who probably dont think i'm still around" said Haman
"I came from Side 3 too" said Aina
"Really" said Haman surprised
"Yeah me and my late brother were members of the aristocratic Sahalin family and during the One Year War, me and my brother were part of the Apsalus project that was stationed near here" said Aina
"What was the Apsalus project" said Jorgan
"It was a Zeon mobile armour project approved by Degwin Zabi that was meant to ascend to the stratosphere and using a mega particle weapon to destroy the Federation's headquarters in Jaburo" said Aina
"It was eventually destroyed when my Gundam with me and Aina rammed into it, destroying it and allowing us to live here" said Shiro
"Wow you piloted a Gundam" said Jorgan
"Yeah I was given a Gundam Ground Type and later the Ez8 which was basically the Ground Type with extra parts" said Shiro
"I wish I got to pilot one, I once piloted a GM Hazel which was the closest I got to piloting one, I mostly got stuck with either a GM II or a Hizack, although I was apprantly going to receive a new suit before I got shot down" said Jorgan
"There nothing that special, from my era I viewed them as just slightly better GM's, especially later in the war from what I heard" said Shiro
"I fought a Gundam, in fact 3 types of Gundams and won once" said Haman
"What sort of Gundam's did you fight Haman" said Jorgan
"Firstly the Zeta Gundam in which we fought to a draw, then the Hiyaku Shiki in which I defeated Char Aznable and then the Double Zeta Gundam where I lost and ended up here afterwards" said Haman
"You defeated the Red Comet" said Shiro shocked
"Yeah I knew him from my time on Axis, liked him at first until he betrayed me and Axis and considering my suit was better than his I managed to easily defeat him" said Haman
"Thats incredible, you must of been some sort of ace Haman" said Jorgan
"Thanks Jorgan, but I was helped by the fact that I was a powerful Newtype and had a powerful suit in the Qubeley" said Haman
"What was it like to serve in the Titans, Jorgan" said Shiro
"It was like serving in a Special Unit where we had fancy new uniforms, better pay and being able to boss around regular Feddies" said Jorgan
"Were you aware of the actions against Spacenoids" said Aina
Jorgan looked down before saying "Yeah I was aware of it, but I felt powerless to stop it, they had the power at the time, therefore if I stood up to them, They had the right to stop me" said Jorgan
"How did you join the Titans" said Shiro
"I joined the Regular Feddie Forces in 0085 and did the Aptitude Test after doing exceptionally well in the MS Simulator, I passed due to good grades on the test and mostly deployed in a Hizack throughout the Gryps War" said Jorgan
"What did your parents say about you joining the Titans" said Aina
"My father was really proud, he had been an Feddie during the One Year War and hearing that I was now an elite Feddie, as for my mother she was happy for me, but worrying as well as the nature of being elite special forces" said Jorgan
"Your father was a Feddie" said Shiro
"Yeah he was, served mostly in space as a GM Pilot and later fought in Baoa Qu" said Jorgan
"When was the last time you communicated with them" said Haman
"Had to be before engaging Karaba forces, my mother called saying if the Titans questionable actions were true as the AEUG had begun to take the upper hand at that point and I well" said Jorgan looking down stopping
"Well" said Shiro
"I denied it, claiming it was AEUG Propaganda" said Jorgan
Shiro and Aina gasped a little bit in shock, Haman was wide eyed, but didn't frown or gasp
"You lied to your own mother to protect the Titans" said Shiro
"Regretfully Yes" said Jorgan
After a small silence, Haman spoke up "Don't be too harsh with Jorgan, he was just an ace who maybe wanted to return to his family after the war without the political repercussions to deal with, My actions during the Neo Zeon War was much worse than all 3 of you combined and as a newtype, I still feel the repercussions at least once a day in my mind"
"What like nightmares" said Jorgan
"You could say that, yes" said Haman
"Is that what was on your mind when you were throwing those rocks into the river" said Jorgan
Haman looked down and said "Yes it was"
"What was it like to be leader of Neo-Zeon" said Aina
"It was fun in places such as defeating the AEUG and Titans as well as ruling part of space and earth at one point and allowing me to enjoy the fruits of victory, but also Jading from the subordinates that can betray you at any moment or trying to preserve the Zabi rule over Zeon even if I used Minerva as a puppet" said Haman
"Didn't you want to try and restore the Zabi Family in power" said Shiro
"it was a front for my own personal aspirations to rule Zeon and all spacenoids which I achieved for a while at least, but then the AEUG and that pilot defeated me" said Haman
"Who was the pilot" said Jorgan
"Judau Ashta, pilot of the ZZ Gundam" said Haman
"Oh, he was on the news this week as the hero of the AEUG along with what they call the Gundam team" said Aina
"I'm not surprised, he was a very powerful Newtype as well as being a good pilot and a good person" said Haman
"I heard your a newtype, what is it like to be one" said Aina
Haman felt awkward answering the question, despite being a newtype, a very powerful one in that, she didn't quite understand it properly and when she was growing up, she never was told anything properly about it or being able to fully cope with the headaches and pressure that comes with being a Newtype.
It was during the moment where after Judau won the clash ideologies in the final battle between the ZZ Gundam and Haman's Qubeley, Haman felt every newtype and old type that had fallen during the First Neo-Zeon War and the Gryps War and it filled Haman with a lot of guilt to the point where she knew that she had to go into exile so that she could try and change her ways.
"That is quite hard for me to answer, it's like having being powerful one minute and the next like the whole weight is on your shoulders as you feel everything around you" said Haman
"How are you feeling now, Haman" said Jorgan
Haman smiled at Jorgan before turning to evreyone and said "I feel good for now, but I'm still feeling all of the effects from all of the conflict that has dominated my life from being a politically important refugee during the waning days of the One Year War to dealing with all of the chaos at Axis and eventually Leadng Zeon and the obvious Zeonic style decisions that come with it like ruling and Colony Drops"
"Kinda like Newtype-induced PTSD" said Aina
Haman wasnt known for admitting her weaknesses, but answered weakly "Yes"
There was a small slience in the room before Norris Amada had barged into the dining room
"Finished my dinner, whats for dessert" said Norris
"Norris, have you eaten all of your food, including your vegetables" said Aina
"Yeah, look at my plate, you can see all gone" said Norris
"Good, are you going join us and our guests at the table for dessert instead of eating dinner in front of the television" said Shiro
"Sure, anything for dessert" said Norris
"Hi Norris, remember me" said Jorgan
"Yeah, you and my dad are fishing buddies, (Turns to Haman), who are you" said Norris
"I'm Haman Karn, my ship crashed here not long ago" said Haman
"Weren't you the Zeon woman making big speeches on the TV" said Norris
"Yes, yes I was, I was the former Leader of Neo-Zeon" said Haman
"Didn't the TV say that you died in the war that has just ended" said Norris
"Lets say I managed to hide from the Federation Forces before crashing near Jorgan's place on Earth" said Haman
"Oh, (Turns to Shiro), whats for dessert" said Norris
"Homemade Cake, its currently baking in the oven" said Shiro
"How long until its ready" said Norris impatiently
"Around 5-10 minutes, lucky we put it in before starting our dinner" said Aina
"Yayyy, so Haman when did you land near here" said Norris
"this past Monday, so ive been living near here now for almost a week" said Haman
"Not long then, are you looking forward to dessert" said Norris
"I am" said Haman
"What is your favourite dessert, Haman" said Norris
"Tough to answer, either cake or souffle" said Haman
"What type of souffle or cake" said Norris
"Strawberry Souffle, as for cake I like most types or cake" said Haman
Aina came into the room with the cake which was quite large and it was eaten fairly quickly, after watching television for a bit and Norris going to bed, Jorgan and Shiro had an idea.
"Can we play some drinking games" said Shiro
"I'm up for it" said Jorgan
"Yeah i'm up for it" said Haman smirking
"What drinks have we got" said Aina
"We've got some beer, a bottle of vodka and that homemade wine that we made" said Shiro
"Vodka, how did you get that" said Jorgan
"There is a small shop nearby, we've known them for years and we supply them with wine which we can trade for vodka" said Shiro
"Ahhh, What drinking game shall we play" said Jorgan
"Punishments" said Shiro
"How do you play that" said Haman
"Basically during the persons go, you can punish anyone based off actions or personality, for example if Shiro said I punish anyone who was a Titan, then I would have to drink" said Jorgan
"I get it" said Haman
Shiro and Jorgan had beers, Aina had vodka and cola and Haman had wine
"I go first, I like to punish anyone who fought for Zeon" said Shiro
Aina and Haman drank
"Ok to counter that, I would like to punish anyone who served in the Federation" said Aina
"Ahh we were asking for that" said Shiro
Shiro and Jorgan drank
"I would like to punish anyone who served below the rank of Lieutenant" said Haman
Aina and Shiro drank (Shiro didn't know that he was promoted beyond Ensign after he went MIA)
"I would like to punish anyone who was born in space" said Jorgan
Aina, Haman and Shiro all drank
"Shiro, your from space" said Jorgan
"Yeah, I was from Side 2, I would like to punish anyone who is not drinking beer" said Shiro
Aina and Haman drank
"I would like to punish anyone who's been on an MS Simulator" said Aina
Haman and Jorgan drank
"I would like to punish anyone who hasn't been a leader of a faction" said Haman
Shiro, Aina and Jorgan drank
"I would like to punish anyone who didn't fight in a gundam" said Jorgan
Only Haman drank
"Wait Aina, didn't you fight for Zeon" said Jorgan
"Yeah, but me and Shiro joint piloted the Gundam Ez8 when we both took down the Aspalus" said Aina
"Oh" said Jorgan
Jorgan, Shiro, Aina and Haman continued to drink and play drinking games for another 3 hours before all of them were beginning to feel drunk, especially Haman whom the mixture of alcohol and being powerful newtype took a profound effect.
It was in a middle of a drinking game where Haman was swaying uncontrollabilly as she was feeling really drunk
"Haman, are you okay" said Jorgan
"Yes, I feel good" said Haman who then vomited onto the floor
Jorgan and Aina immediately approached Haman, lifted her up and taking her outside, while Shiro cleaned up the mess.
Outside
Haman was continuously vomiting outside and the tough exterior that Haman showed most of the time was breaking as she began crying.
"All of the Neo-Zeon stuff, the Colony Drop on Dublin, using Mineva as an excuse to become a dictator, its all my fault" said Haman as she was bawling her eyes out and vomited a little bit more
Aina stood next to Haman, while Jorgan crouched down near Haman
"Why are you comforting me after all I did, Jorgan you were trained to hunt us Zeke's down, I was the Leader of Neo-Zeon, one of the more senior Zekes" said Haman
"Haman, I may have been a Titan at some point, but that was in the past, I enjoy being around you, when your Mobile Suit crashed here last week, I had finally had someone to talk to every day when I wasn't fishing" said Jorgan
Haman immediatly hugged Jorgan and started bawling on his shoulder
"I think me and Haman might start to head our way back home, tell Shiro we are sorry for the mess" said Jorgan
"No need to feel sorry, you two should come round more often, it was fun, goodbye" said Aina
Jorgan and Haman got on a boat to head back to there place.
Jorgan was able to sail back, whilst Haman was asleep not long after Jorgan started sailing
As soon as they arrived, Jorgan had to carry Haman out and carefully place her on her bed before leaving Haman's hut to head to his own hut and went to sleep.
Next Day
Jorgan woke up without much of an hangover, he never usually got them after all when he was younger, he used to attend his older childhood friend Jerid's house parties with his older brother Lance even before Jorgan was old enough to buy a drink and they usually involved alot of vodka, beer and even absinthe in which Jerid cockily had a shot of it before ending up in hospital for about a week.
Jorgan went to check up on Haman and found her filling a bucket of water from the river with a filter
"Good Morning Haman" said Jorgan
"Morning" said Haman quite weakly, Haman looked very pale, her eyes very tired looking and when she wasn't filling a bucket of water, she had her right hand on her head, she was clearly hungover.
"How are you feeling" said Jorgan
"I feel fine" said Haman stubbornly
"Yeah sure, you don't look fine, you look hungover" said Jorgan
"Thanks, was I sick last night" said Haman
"Yeah you were, but only when you were really drunk" said Jorgan
"I can taste it when I woke up" said Haman
"I think you might need some rest, I will provide you food and drink for the rest of the day" said Jorgan
"Jorgan, you don't have too, I can handle myself" said Haman as she then gagged
"Rest" said Jorgan
"Fine" said Haman as she returned to her hut holding her head and groaning because of her headache
Afterwards Jorgan grabbed a filter and a another bucket and filled it with water in which he drank a bit of it, he then started to cook some food which was Fish and Bird Stew with vegetables that was given to Jorgan and Haman by Shiro and Aina last night.
After the food had been cooked, Jorgan put the food into two wooden bowls before going to deliver it to Haman only to find Haman asleep, not wanting to wake her up, Jorgan placed the bowl of food next to her before leaving her hut.
Jorgan sat down on a log near the fire that he cooked his food and stared at the sky, remembering the times before the Gryps War
The next chapter will be a flashback chapter about Jorgan's past
