CHAP 4 : THE PROPHECY

POV: Percy

After the school for the day was over we all decided to go to our respective houses , change and come back by 3:30 so we could meet that strange man . When I reached home I asked my mom to make me some food as I have to go out quickly ( I was polite ok ). After she made me some ham and cheese sandwich , I changed into something a bit more comfy like shorts and a plain teal shirt and went out to meet my friends. We all met together and reached behind the school at 3:45 strange man was not here yet . It was 3:59 now and we were sure that we had been tricked and that he wasn't gonna come .Just as the clock on the church struck 4 a deep voice behind us whispered: Turn around .

Scared we all turned around just then the stranger's eyes turned green and there was green mist all around us , Just like before his voice tripled and he said :

Five shall, go to find the treasure of secrets

Two shall be lost by the goddess of tinkerts.

One shall bear the burden on their shoulders

One shall hear the sound of the boulders .

One shall be wrongly chosen

One shall be frozen

Be betrayed by the one who call you their friend

Return the price and all will end

[A/N - yes I made all the prophecy into one prophecy , not very creative I know but eh ! roll with it ]

After he said this he disappeared as quickly and mysteriously as he came . We were all stunned, we sat there trying to comprehend what just happened. I thought this was all a dream , but I knew it in my heart that it was real . Thalia was the first one out of shock . She said "so ? what are we supposed to do now ? should we ignore it or go ahead with this". I think we all knew that we had to go along with this after a few agreements and disagreements. We all agreed that we will leave for this...mission the day after tomorrow , we agreed to tell our mothers , and pack a few items for the 1 week's trip and some cash .

NEXT DAY

POV : ANNABETH

I had asked my job for a 1 month leave just in case and my salary for that month they gave me my salary in cash , which was about 6500 dollars. I arranged for Matt and Matthew to stay at my friend's house from my old city as I knew her very well and trusted her to take care of my brothers . I packed some food,a toothbrush ,a few spare clothes , some spare batteries, a flashlight, big canteens of water , a sleeping mattress and my cellphone . I went to my friend's house to see my brothers and told them it was my time to leave as we were spending the night at the Jackson's house . Barely able to control my tears I said goodbye and went to my house to search for anything valuable in the basement . As I was searching the basement I came across this dagger with a note saying that it will protect me on the way and that it was a gift from my mother. I kept thinking that at least I will be able to fend for myself if I come across any danger . I left for Percy's house .

POV : NICO

Sneaking out of the place was staying was easy , [ A/N he stayed at an orphanage] , but getting the supplies was difficult . I stole some cash and counted it . It was around 700 dollars , (that will do ) and took my sleeping bag , toothbrush, and some spare clothes . I also stole some flashlights, some spare batteries, some food , water and took my cell phone . I went to my room to check if I had left something and saw that I had a sword with it's sheath on my dressing table. I picked it up sensing that I would need it, strapped it to my waist and went over to Percy's house at around 9 pm .

POV : Thalia

When I told my mom the news she took it fairly well [ let's pretend that her mom is alive for the story's sake :P ] . She gave me a sleeping bag , some clothes, and 1000 dollars. I was shocked as she rarely gave me any money - ( this must be some important quest as my mom liked to call it ). A toothbrush , a flashlight , and a bracelet for some reason made me promise to use it when I am in danger , a few extra batteries and a flashlight. I said goodbye , thanked her and walked to Percy's house .

POV:GROVER

I took some tin cans, sleeping bag , flashlight, toothbrush, some clothes , 500 dollars cash and headed over to Percy's house .

POV : Percy

When I told my mom she only said it was time and handed me a bag full of supplies that included : Clothes, batteries, flashlight, brush , 1000 dollars cash , food , water, my cell phone and for some strange reason a pen . I asked her why she gave me a pen and she made me promise that I would use this when I was in danger . I promised her and waited for my friends to come. When they came I asked them for their supplies and found that we had almost the same supplies except for the weird Stuff our Parents gave us / weapons they found . After a while we started discussing the riddle and what it could mean. I saw that Annabeth was trying to break the riddle into small parts and was thinking , I found myself staring at her face, ( she looks so beautiful ) . Annabeth caught me staring and gave a small smile and invited me to sit with her. I went over to her and she then explained what she was doing , But i could not concentrate on what she was saying. I kept staring at her and asked myself what was wrong with me. She is the one who makes me do all the work and she is the one whom I fall for. [ A/N cheesy but i think it's cute ] I made up my mind right then and there that I would get to know her nicely and marry her one day . [ OKay i know its a bit too fast but its cute no , also it will be along time before he even gets to know her fully . ]
