Bugs and Daffy were walking through Toontown park with Elmer in a pram. The pram Daffy had got from his house. Bugs didn't know why Daffy had a pram in his house - considering Plucky was 14 - and couldn't be bothered to ask. He was just glad he didn't have to carry Elmer around. Elmyra was right, he was heavy.
Elmer seemed happy enough, so far as a baby could BE happy. He was smiling a lot and beaming while sucking on his hands. Witch Hazel, Bugs realised, had managed to turn Bugs's husband into a very young baby. Most toon babies averaged out to about a 6 month+ human baby in so far as they were usually able to crawl a little and babble. This was because a stationary baby was not a lot of fun to watch on TV.
Elmer was unable to do anything except babble and cry. This had got annoying very quickly hark why Bugs and Daffy were now taking him to the park in order to try and tire him out so he might sleep. So far it wasn't working.
The rabbit was doing his best to not let his annoyance show, because he had a horrible feeling that Elmer might actually be able to realise what had happened. Most potions that transformed toons into things literally did just that. Transformed there body into something else - the mind was left alone.
So Bugs was trying not to lose his cool or anything. He was also trying to speak to Elmer in as normal a manner as possible, which was getting him some weird looks. Princess Jasmine, especially, seemed alarmed to hear Bugs Bunny explaining to a baby exactly why paper straws were a waste of everyone's time.
On the bright side having a baby with you was a magnet for the princesses. No less than three of them - Snow White, Cinderella and Rapunzel - had come up to him and cooed over the baby, not realising it was Elmer. When Bugs had told them the response had been. 'But he's so cute!" Which had Bugs cringing inside, Jones knows what Fudd would say to that. The hunter knew he would never win any beauty competitions any times soon, but he didn't like it when other people commented on the fact. [And they had. A lot. When they got married people were comparing them to Beauty and The Beast.]
After about forty minutes Daffy complained his feet hurt and he and Bugs took a short break, sitting on a bench to relax.
Bugs parked the buggy next to the bench with the intention of keeping an eye on it. Unfortunately Daffy brought up the subject of one of their new shorts that Bugs disliked and an low-level debate broke out about it. By the time Daffy had 'convinced' Bugs that he was right, the rabbit was tired and felt he could do with a nap himself. He turned to the Elmer to check he was alright and froze.
He wasn't there.
Elmer had disappeared.
