Marinette woke up on time since she was barely able to sleep that night. She got ready and grabbed her phone, heading downstairs with her purse that had cookies in it for Tikki who was happily munching on one of them. She saw a message waiting for her. I was wondering if you wanted to see a movie with me sometime. It was from Luka.

Of course, Maybe after school. She texted back and it didn't take long before he replied. Sure, just let me know. Can't wait. She smiled at the message and blushed, sighing happily.

"Someone is happy." Her mom teased.

"Luka asked me to see a movie with him after school. Is that okay? If I need to help around here, I will."

"It's no problem. We can handle it." She replied, smiling.

"Ok."

"So, is it a date?"

"I'm not sure, but he did say that he can't wait to hangout with me." She looked down and blushed.

"Someone has a crush."

"Mom."

"It's obvious."

"I got to go since I don't want to be late." She hugged her before the teen left.

"Marinette." Luka smiled at her. "I thought I would show up a little earlier, just in case." She blushed and got on the bike.

"Thanks." They smiled at each other and continued staring until Alya called her name. "I better go, but I'll see you later for the movie." He smiled, kissing her on the cheek before she did the same. He left and she went over to Alya.

"Looks like someone has a new crush." She teased. "What about Adrien?"

"I decided to move on from him."

"What made you change your mind?"

"I just felt like I needed a change."

"Hey, guys." The teen model said, smiling. He just got out of the car and went up to them, wondering what was up with Luka and Marinette earlier.

The group smiled at him.

"What's up?" Nino asked, smiling.

"The usual." He replied, sadly.

"Want to hang out after school?" He asked as the model nodded. They walked inside and went to class. After a long day of classes, Marinette went home and changed clothes before she decided to grab some paper and write stuff down.

Hawkmoth.

Underneath it she wrote, Always ready to akumatize someone. Has one of the two miraculous that is missing.

She shook her head, not wanting to think about it nor Cat Blanc anymore, especially the latter. The secret superheroine looked at the paper and sighed before she texted Luka. Ready to go. She sent it with a smile. She decided to do some designing while she waited. It didn't take him long to arrive. She went downstairs and saw him, smiling at her.

"Bye. See you two later." She told her parents before leaving with him. "So how are you doing?"

"Good. You?"

"Good. Kitty Section is playing a gig this weekend, so I was wondering if you wanted to come see us play?"

"Of course. I wouldn't miss it for anything." She smiled before they arrived at the movie theater and decided what movie sounded interesting to them. They held hands, got the tickets and walked in before getting some drinks and walking inside for somewhere to sit.

"I'm happy that you decided to come with me." He said, smiling at her.

"Me too." She returned the expression and he held her hand. She could see his love and admiration for her in his eyes and it made her happy. Seeing him happy means a lot to her. She felt herself blush.

"I really like you, Luka." She said as his declaration of love went through her head.

"I feel the same way." He entwined his fingers with hers. They turned off their cell phones and the movie started as Marinette took a sip of her drink before putting it back in the cup holder. The lights dimmed as the movie started. Marinette and Luka were both happy, so that's all that mattered to them. She felt happy around him and wasn't a stammering mess which helped a lot. She felt more at peace with him than anyone else she's ever encountered. With her friends and family she had to hide her superheroine self, but with others she had to hide her civilian self. She could be Marinette with Luka and didn't have to worry about akumas or anything.

The movie was nice, but she couldn't stop thinking about Luka and how amazing he is to her. She blushed at the thought and the lights turned back on when the movie ended. He got up and reached a hand out to her, she happily took it and stood as well with her drink in the other hand.

They continued holding hands, enjoying each other's company.

He smiled and they looked at each other for awhile before walking out of the theater, talking about anything and everything. It was comfortable silence and neither of them spoke until they passed by a restaurant. They walked in and ate some dinner, enjoying themselves before they went for a walk in the park. "I had a good time." Marinette said when they arrived back at her family bakery.

"One of the best days of my life." He smiled.

"Mine too."

"Our gig is this Saturday."

"I'll definitely be there." Marinette said, still looking at him before walking into her family bakery and sighed happily.

"How was it?" Sabine asked before she looked up and noticed her daughter's expression.

"Perfect. I'm going to see him perform this Saturday." She went up to her room and shut the door. She drew her designs and updated her diary entries. She was so distracted, she didn't realize she was late for patrol. "Tikki, Spots on." She said before she transformed and decided to arrive at a different location since the Effie Tower gives her bad memories. She sighed and looked ahead. It was getting more and more difficult to keep her double life from everyone, especially her pun loving kitty. She wanted to tell him, but couldn't because it wasn't the right time.

She had one message from her akuma fighting partner. M'lady, where are you? I'm worried.

She knew it wasn't really like her to be late, but she was distracted. Throwing her yo-yo, she swung across Paris and landed on the Effie Tower. She shook her thoughts away and sat down. 'Hey, Bugaboo. You okay?" Cat asked, worried.

"I got distracted spending time with one of my friends earlier which is why I was late. Sorry." He nodded. "We could split up and look for akumas on opposite sides of Paris before we meet up back here."

They took opposite sides of the city and met up half an hour later. "Nothing on my side." He said which she agreed.

"So what's been going on in your life that you can tell me about?" He asked, curious.

"I hung out with someone very important to me earlier." She replied. "He's amazing." She said with a smile before frowning at him. "Sorry. I'll stop if you want."

"As long as your happy, I'm happy for you." He returned the smile and meant what he said, even though it still hurt since it felt like he would never have a chance with her. As along as he is friends and akuma fighting partners with her, he will take what he can get or he will try to accept it.

"Thanks." She said, looking ahead of them.
