Chapter 4

Viox hummed as she swept the kitchen floor. See the Hala Twins lived above the Flower shop, it was a small 3 bed 2 bathroom apartment, with a cozy sized living room that held a small sectional couch and a smaller sized lazy boy arm chair. Two matching end tables and a matching coffee table were placed in their proper places, along with their TV sitting on its TV stand. Two very large bookshelves lined the far wall, holding all shapes and sizes of books. The kitchen was on the small size as well, holding a normal sized glass top stove and some counter space, they had a smallish island that held the sink and below to the left side a dishwasher. Their kitchen table was only able to hold 4 chairs as two were always tucked in and never touched. Towards the bedrooms, there was a small wash room, it held an extra toilet and sink, but looked like an average closet when you walked by it, it was hardly ever touched by the women of the household, continuing down the hall held Viox's room, her dark cherry wood door held a small sign that claimed it to be her space. As the next door across the hall claimed itself in Violet's name, and at the very end of the hall was an open door dubbing that as the guest bed, due to the lack of bedding on the mattress and the immaculate cleanness of the room.

A soft meow echoed into the kitchen as Viox paused, hearing the jiggling of tags from the collar of her cat, Indigo, or Inky as the women called him, he was a small black cat with a splash of Russian blue coloring on his right side of the face, his yellow green eyes blinked as he bumped into Viox's legs. Inky was deaf and partly blind in his right eye. So of course the Hala Twins were immediately smitten with the black cat. He had been with the women since he was a kitten, right after they had gotten out of high-school. Viox smiled as she slowly, not to startle the cat, got on her knees to pet the snuggle bug, Inky was extremely cuddly to the women. She chuckled as he rolled onto his back to try and play with her hand, his claws staying sheltered by his fluffy paws as he batted with Viox's limp hand. "How you can get him to be like that is beyond me." Violet's voice piped up as Viox smiled, "He's just a big old baby." She cooed out as Inky purred happily. Violet rolled her eyes as her very own little protector popped up from his spot on her shoulders, his tail was wrapped around them for support, as Violet's pure White ball python, he was blind in both eyes so he flicked his tongue out often to find where to go, his name was Lumi, as Violet thought the small snake was the most darling thing. She has had Lumi for even longer than Inky. He had been with her throughout all of high-school and had been her own little rock when she just wanted a friend. Lumi bumped his head against Violet's cheek as she smiled toward the little snake. "Any plans for today, even though it's Valentine's day?" Violet asked as Viox shook her head, I was planning on streaming my show tonight and relaxing with a bowl of popcorn, nothing really special." She replied, she wasn't planning anything big after the high emotions of yesterday's events, she had gone upstairs to hide from the blue haired popstar, till he left. She never caught his name. Violet paused, before she blinked, "Shit...you have something to do tonight!" She said scrambling over to her sister, "Come on! We have to hurry and get you an outfit!" She said as Viox was confused, "What?" She tried to question as Violet dragged her out the door. "No time for changing, we gotta go!" Violet said as Viox pouted, she was in her favorite light pink t-shirt and her favorite blue jeans, her feet had big fluffy dinosaur slippers on. "What about Lumi?" She asked as Violet paused, "He'll be fine, we won't! We have to get going! They'll be here at 6 to pick us up and we don't have outfits!" She exclaimed, taking a moment to put the blind snake down her chest and inside her bra, to keep the small pet warm as they went about. Viox looked worried, "When did we have dates?" She asked as Violet shook her head, shoving her sister into their shared car, "No time to explain, we need to look like heartbreakers!" She shouted as she rushed to the drivers side, jamming the keys into place and ripping out of the driveway as soon as the car was on. Viox looked at her sister with fear as they drove.

"WHY THIS?!" Viox called from her bathroom, as Violet looked up from Viox's bed, "Because you need to look hot enough to not care!" She called to her sister, who had been changing into her outfit for the concert that night. Violet had forgotten about her promise with Childe, and it slipped her mind that he was coming to pick the women up as well. She could hear her sister struggling before finally the other came out. "Why me?" Viox asked as Violet looked at her sibling. Viox's outfit was a cute corseted top with a large floppy bow on the side, the whole thing was black and looked like silk, even though it wasn't, the top of the corset tied around the neck, like a bikini top normally would, but it was large ribbon instead of some tiny strings. She had on tight black boot cut jeans and finished off with a pair of black flats. Her hair was pinned to the side, leaving her whole face to be seen. Violet's outfit was almost the same, mostly in color. She wore a tankers crop top, with shorts and a black and red flannel tied around her waist with her combat boots placed on her feet. Her hair was done in a simple braid as she stood up, they had finished a good 15 minutes before Childe would arrive at their doorstep. "Lets get some water and relax, they'll be here soon." Violet said softly as Viox nodded, grabbing a small sweater-like cover for her outfit, just in case it would get cold wherever Violet was taking her. They had reached the kitchen when A knock sounded at the door, "It must be them!" Violet said as she walked over, only to open the door to Kane. He held a small bouquet of red roses in his hand and looked nervous, "Is Viox home?" He asked as Violet nodded, "She is...you want to wait in the living room?" She asked him as Kane nodded his head stiffly. Violet about laughed, noticing the man's nervous walk as he proceeded to take a very, robotic like stance on sitting down. "Who's at the door?" Viox asked as she walked into the living room only to spot Kane, "Oh my goodness, evening Kane!" She said happily as the man stood stiffly up, "I uh...got you flowers!" He said holding the bouquet out for Viox, who blushed a little bit, "Oh! Well thank you." She said softly as Violet winked at her from across the room. Viox held them in her arms, "I'll go get some water for them, thank you again Kane." She said politely as she started to leave, "Wait! I wanted to ask if-" Kane shouted as the door to the front of the house opened, "You sure they live here?" Kaeya asked as he waltzed inside, "Well let hope so because if you die from a random rabid fangirl attack-" Childe bantered back before realizing that everyone in the living room was staring at the two pop stars who had walked into the house unannounced. Kane felt a bead of sweat run down his forehead, as he felt a sharp glare connect to his body, Viox stared with her mouth open as if she saw a ghost, and Violet looked ready to stomp the boy band members into the flooring beaten their feet. Childe gave Violet a small cute smile and wave, "Hey we're here to pick you two up!" He said cheerfully as Kaeya crossed his arms, looking between Viox and Kane, "That's why…" he muttered out as Violet took a moment, "YOU COULD HAVE WAITED IN THE CAR!" She screamed at the band members, Childe chuckled, "Could have, didn't want to." He said with confidence as Violet growled. Viox stared at the two with owlish eyes, taking in the information. "Violet?" She asked weakly, as Violet looked at her sister, "I might have agreed to going to the concert." She said with a small laugh as Viox dropped her flowers and dropped to the floor.
