Authors Note: We are back to Keefe's POV!

The whole time I've been writing this I only had one question: "When is Keefe going to step in?" Probably in a couple of chapters. It really depends. I write this as I think. I just type my thoughts down and it turns into a whole story.

Big thanks to Pranking1O1 and for favoriting/commenting on the story! And thanks to Lordhunkyhair for leaving an encouraging comment! Also, again to CatEnthusiast for correcting me that Keefe prefers "Waves of Wimpiness" instead of "Shores of Solace."

I keep making different endings for my chapters, but so far, none of the chapters ended happily. I'm not great at making cliffhangers, but I'm trying, and it's kind of hard to make a great cliffhanger when it's a "happy ending" in the chapter. Actually, that's a complete lie. I can come up with plenty of happy endings that are huge cliffhangers (I just haven't gotten there yet).

I'm still open to suggestions/ideas for future chapters. Just PM me!

Enjoy! :)

I tried to go to sleep, but it was impossible. I heard Fitz get up a while later and sneak out of the room. Curiosity grew in me, so I got up and followed him. He quietly walked outside and hid under a tree, getting consumed by its shadow. Because the moonlight was so dim, it was almost impossible to see him.

As I hid under another tree's shadow. I counted the seconds as they passed by, which added up to four hundred sixty-two until Sophie walked out of the building. I could feel her emotions as she walked out: happiness, curiosity, excitement.

Of course, I should've known this was a secret Fitzphie meeting.

I might as well see what they were doing because I was already down here.

He saw Fitz jump out from behind the tree and pick Sophie up, which made her give a small yelp.

"You look beautiful Sophie," he whispered.

"You don't look bad yourself," Sophie giggled.

I saw him lean in pulling her closer. All of a sudden the happiness, curiosity, excitement vanished, and was replaced with uncomfortableness.

Whatever was happening bothered Sophie, but me stepping in would make things worse, so I stayed put. Even looking closely, I could see her refusing to make eye contact with Fitz.

"What's that?" Sophie said pointing at a small box in one of his pockets that were sewn to his cloak.

"Oh, this? It's a little something from me to you," Fitz smiled.

Sophie was hesitating to open the box. I could feel her uncomfortableness increase.

"Are you going to open it?" Fitz asked.

"Oh. Yeah, sorry," she said while unwrapping the box.

I wanted to go walk over to Fitz and yell at him that he's pressuring Sophie and needs to go away, but I knew that Sophie was capable of handling her own problems like this. At least I think she is.

I watched as she opened the gift. It was a golden necklace. I was not close enough to tell what exactly it was, but I did know that it looked nice.

I didn't even need to be an empath to see the uncomfortableness in Sophie's eyes. Maybe she'd never been treated like this before. Did this make her feel overwhelmed?

I raked my thoughts for any information of her being strange around Fitz. I had no idea why she was feeling so uncomfortable. I wanted to run up to her, grab her hand, and send cool breezes through her to calm her down. Did Sophie no longer want to be with Fitz? But I felt positive that she wanted to be with him. There was no way she got over her crush on him that fast. What if he told her something earlier that made her feel uncomfortable?

I was going to find out these answers. Sophie did not deserve a boy who bothered her.

I watched as Fitz laid the necklace around her neck. Jealousy pinched at my heart again. A couple of seconds passed, and she told him she was tired, but I knew that was just an excuse for the way she said it. Her uncomfortableness increased a lot when Fitz leaned in to kiss her cheek. She looked ready to sprint.

I was pretty surprised that Fitz was so oblivious towards her actions.

She walked away to Biana's room, while Fitz looked proud of himself. His cluelessness made me feel angry. Maybe if he knew what she was feeling he would give her a chance to breathe. Instead, he was happily walking up to his room where he would peacefully go to sleep thinking he had won over Sophie.

In the morning, I got up and noticed Fitz and Dex were still asleep. A smirk came across my face. I ran to my bag full of elixirs and grabbed Floof and Drooly Dew. I slipped Floof into Dex's mouth and Drooly Dew into Fitz's.

This is gonna be fun.

All of a sudden Dex's hair fluffed up into an afro style, and Fitz started drooling everywhere. I started laughing as Biana and Sophie walked in. They both snorted a laugh. Dex and Fitz shot up, confused why they were being stared and laughed at. That's when Dex felt his hair and immediately glared at me.

"Dex, you kind of remind me of Bob Ross," Sophie giggled. "But your hair color ruined that a little."

"Who's Ross Bob?" He asked.

"Oh, never mind."

We were all laughing while Fitz was trying to wipe away the drool spilling from his mouth.

"Wow Keefe, you really did it this time," He said, wiping away more drool.

Once both their elixir effects faded and we stopped laughing. Biana looked at Sophie's neck.

"What's that?" She pointed to the golden moonlark necklace.

I could tell Sophie did not want to talk about it. She looked at Fitz. She was probably transmitting if it was okay to tell us about the gift. He nodded.

"Fitz gave it to me last night." She spoke.

She felt sad, uncomfortable, bothered, pressured, and regretful. Her emotions practically stabbed me. She looked at me and slightly panicked, remembering I could feel her emotions. I gave her a small wink acting like I had no idea why she was staring at me. She relaxed a bit.

I saved her by changing the subject quickly by asking for food. We walked downstairs to find that Della had left Mallowmelt on the counters for breakfast. I got so caught up in all this drama I totally forgot food existed!

We ate and talked for a couple of hours, until Sophie said, "I got to go. Grady and Edaline want me back so I can help feed Verdi."

"Yeah, I probably need to go too. I'm sure Lord Snootypants is worried sick about me!" I said in a sarcastic tone.

Ro waited for me at the door. We followed Sophie outside, with Sandor at her side. I cleared my throat letting her know I was behind her.

"Sophie, we need to talk. Privately."
