Academy
It was finally about to happen Naruto was going to be set on a genin team and embark on his journey as a ninja.
He then turned to Ino "I hope we're on the same team," he said to her with his trademark grin.
"I hope we are too," The blonde girl replied, giving the boy a smile.
"Alright everybody calm down," Iruka said as he stepped into the room.
"Iruka-sensei announce the teams already," A random civilian boy pleaded.
"Calm down but either way I would like to congratulate all of you for your great effort in the academy and I hope you could all forge your own ninja journey," Iruka said to all his students.
Everyone had bright smiles on their faces except for Uchiha Sasuke who was sitting in his normal seat just staring out of the window.
Ever since the incident everyone practically forgot about him. No one would give him pity for his loss no one would even look at him on the streets.
Now all that he heard on his way to the academy and back would be adults who would brag claiming that their daughter was dating "Lord Uchiha" or that their son's were "Lord Uchiha's" best friend.
All the chatter really pissed him off as he thought he was the only Uchiha in Konoha but now there was a new hot shot in town that would steal all the spotlight.
But through all the struggle his classmate Haruno Sakura was able to reach out to him.
Sakura sort of had an understanding on why most of the villagers wanted their children to marry Naruto but she saw it in a different way.
Though her parents tried to get her to date Naruto saying they would make more money and have more political power due to his Uchiha and Uzumaki lineage Sakura preferred to hang around Sasuke eventually getting the boy to crack open and tell her his troubles.
The time finally came and Iruka began to read down the list of names soon coming to Squad Seven .
"Squad 7 will be Inuzuka Kiba, Haruno Sakura, and Uchiha Sasuke your Jonin sensei will be Hatake Kakashi" Iruka announced before going down the list.
"Squad 8 will be Hyuga Hinata, Yamanaka Ino, and Uzumaki Naruto your Jonin sensei will be Yuhi Kurenai," Iruka announced.
Naruto and Ino gave each other a high five as they cheered knowing they were on the same team.
Hinata blushed slightly but was happy to know she was on the same team as Naruto.
Kiba inwardly cursed knowing that Hinata had a huge crush on Naruto while he himself had a crush on Hinata the discovery of them being on a team put a huge wrench in his plans.
Iruka then continued "Due to squad 9 still being in action squad 10 will be Akimichi Choji, Aburame Shino, and Nara Shikamaru your Jonin sensei will be Sarutobi Asuma,"
Right as Iruka finished the bell rang signifying Lunch break.
Lunch break
During lunch break Naruto would usually sneak off and eat at Ichiraku ramen, his favorite ramen stand in the whole village but ever since the incident he would always have to eat the academy lunch which he classified as disgusting.
On the bright side of things since he would be practically forced to eat the school lunch he had grown a bit taller.
Naruto and Ino were sitting by a tree just eating their lunch when Hinata came over.
"H-h-h-Hey g-g-guys," Hinata said as she waved to Naruto and Ino.
"Oh,Hey Hinata, what are you doing here?" Naruto asked as he looked at his teammate.
"W-w-well I thought since we are going to be a team maybe we could get to know each other better," The shy girl replied.
The blonde boy quickly replied saying it would be fun and got to his feet.
The unofficial squad 8 then went over to one of the benches but right as they were going to begin the bell rang signifying the end of their lunch break.
Inside
When everyone was finally inside each Jonin sensei would come and take their assigned team.
Eventually Yuhi Kurenai and Sarutobi Asuma came into the room, collected their teams and left, leaving only squad 7 behind.
Training ground 8
When squad 8 got to training ground 8 the three genin took a seat under a tree while their Sensei took a seat on a rock in front of them.
"Uhh,what are we gonna do?" Naruto asked Kurenai.
"Well,since this is the first time we are meeting we're going to introduce ourselves," Kurenai answered.
"I'll start,My name is Yuhi Kurenai,I like learning new genjutsu and gardening,I dislike perverts,and my dream is to become the best genjutsu user," Kurenai finished before turning to Naruto.
"My name is Uzumaki Naruto,I like ramen and Ino,I dislike the 3 minutes it takes for ramen to cool down, and my dream is to become Hokage," Naruto finished.
Kurenai then turned to Ino who was sitting next to Naruto and said "next".
"My name is Yamanaka Ino,I like flowers and Naruto," she said while blushing but no one except for Kurenai saw it. "I dislike forehead, and my dream is to become a strong kunoichi and raise a family," Ino finished still blushing.
And finally Kurenai turned to Hinata and said "next"
"M-m-my n-n-ame is Hyuga Hinata,I like cinnamon rolls a-a-and N-n-n-naruto, "As hiata said this she began to blush madly but her statement went to deaf ears as Naruto was staring at a butterfly that had landed on his palm. "I dislike bullies and my d-d-dream is to change my clan," Hinata finished.
"Good,now that we have introduced ourselves we are going to move on and do a test,"
"A test," Both Naruto and Ino shouted while Hinata starred in confusion.
"Do you guys honestly think once you graduate from the academy your shinobi?" Kurenai questioned them.
"Yes," Naruto and Ino said through muffled voices.
"Well for your information you will be taking the bell test," Kurenai informed them.
"Bell test?" they all asked in confusion.
"The way the bell test works is that you have to try and grab these bells from me," Kurenai said as she raised two bells. "You also only have until noon to get them," Kurenai finished
"B-b-but Kurenai-sensei you only have two bells," Hinata questioned.
"Oh ya,I forgot to tell you,if you don't get a bell you go back to the academy," Kurenai said, completely ignoring Hinata's question.
All three members of the team palled.
They have never heard of anything like this,most of the time they would see genin teams operate in squads of three genin and one Jonin so only two of them passing didn't really add up in their minds.
"Begin!" Kurenai called out before they could ask questions.
All three members of squad 8 then jumped into the bushes to hide and formulate a plan.
"Hey guys something doesn't add up here," Ino said while crouching in front of her two teammates.
"Yeah you're right,when I see genin teams take missions they always operate in squads of three with one Jonin," Naruto continued.
"T-t-t-there is probably a hidden meaning to the test," Hinata concluded.
A few minutes passed before Naruto began to burst out in frustration.
"Ahh,all this thinking is hurting my mind," Naruto shouted in irritation while ruffling his hair.
As soon as Naruto said this he got out of the bush and began to rush at Kurenai.
Naruto then activated his sharingan and sent a punch Kurenai's way.
Kurenai easily blocked it and went in for a lowkick but using his two tomoe sharingan Naruto easily jumped up dodging the ential attack.
While in the air Naruto did a clockwise spin and smashed his Leg onto Kurenai who blocked using both her hands.
After Naruto's attack landed, Kurenai shoved him back a few paces before taking back her stance.
Unfaced by this Naruto put both of his index and middle fingers in a cross sign two more Narutos later emerging from the smoke caused by his jutsu and went in to attack Kurenai.
"Shadow clones," Kurenai said to herself in shock as she prepared for the clones ahead.
The first clone went in for close range attacking seen when it went in for multiple punches and kicks trying to get Kurenai to falter while the second clone was chucking millions of millions of Kunai and shuriken at Kurenai.
Getting frustrated Naruto decided to step it up a notch and went through a few hands signs later calling out Fire style:Fireball jutsu.
From Naruto's mouth he began to breathe out a large amount of fire scorching the ground and leaving the area in a devastated state.
Thinking that he had probably just killed his sensei, Naruto let his guard down even turning off his sharingan but this was a grave mistake as two hands burst out of the ground at a fast pace snatching his legs and yanking him into the ground.
"I must admit Naruto you were pretty good but not good enough," Kurenai said with a smirk plastered on her face before she began leaping into the forest.
"Kurenai-sensei I hate you!" Naruto shouted as he tried his hardest to escape from the hole he was buckled in.
10 minutes later
It had been 10 minutes since Naruto made his assault on Kurenai and it was only now that Ino and Hinata got out of hiding and went to assist him.
"Y-y-you guys you came for me?" Naruto said while slightly tearing up.
"Yah we did dummy,we also found out the secret meaning to the test," Ino said while trying to analyse Naruto's current state.
"Cool,then what is it?" Naruto questioned.
"After some thinking we realised the secret meaning to this test is to work together as a team," Ino said while trying to pull Naruto out of the hole.
"Oh,now I understand I knew that from the start," Naruto said with a sheepish grin.
"Yah you did," Ino replied while contemplating telling the truth or not.
"Let's get a move on and kick Kurenai-sensei's ass," Naruto said in an upbeat tone magicly getting himself out of the hole.
1 hour later
It took over one hour for squad 8 to find Kurenai even with the assistance from Hinata's byakugan.
"T-t-t-there she is," Hinata said as she pointed to a clearing.
Squad 8 then stepped into the clearing only for Naruto and Ino to burst out in anger as they realised that they were being led in a circle all around training ground 8.
"H-h-how did this happen?" Hinata asked in confusion as she stared at their surroundings byakugan still on.
"It is a genjutsu," Kurenai said as she emerged from a tree.
"B-b-but I saw you standing there," Hinata said as she pointed to the middle of the clearing.
The Kurenai that Hinata was pointing at then burst in a puff of smoke revealing itself to be a shadow clone.
As all of Kurenai's body exited the tree she got into a battle stance and signaled for all three of the genins to come forward.
"Bring it on," Was all Kurenai said before all three genin came rushing at her

That's the end of the chapter.
I haven't uploaded in a while because I have tons of homework and I need to get it done but that doesn't mean you should take me out of the picture I'm still gonna write this story and i'll write it till it ends,that's a promise.
Either way I'm getting of topic, I might be able to upload every two weekends so yay.
